this will be my last song recording for today because i've now got to upload it so that you can join me with singing the songs that we have sung this afternoon have been beautiful songs songs to thank god songs of praise and prayer asking god to walk with us every step of the way in fact this last song that we're going to sing has a very similar theme it was written by one of my favorite songwriters at least contemporary songwriters dottie ramble and dottie recalls that one day she was sitting on the beach and contemplating on how things had gone in her life she was in a fairly dark place at the time and she was thinking of how she was hurt how she was down and out and she felt impressed to write a song but the words of the song didn't seem to come so she prayed and she remembers that as she was walking along the beach suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and she knew immediately that this was the lord speaking to her and the words of the song this song flowed through you know in our life we need to ask god to lead us down the path that he wants us to walk and when we have the lord walking beside us we have absolutely nothing to fear because we are sheltered in the arms of god so even when the storms rage in your life and the dark clouds of anger disappointment fear and despondency creep in you won't worry you won't fret because you know you are still god's child and that he is there beside you in her last verse dottie writes and soon i shall hear the call from heaven's portals you know we are on a journey through this life and at one stage that journey must come to an end for we are human we have to come to that period of our lives when we need to enjoy that rest and as we trot that last mile we may be scared some of us but we need not be because once again we can be assured that god is there right beside us and when we fall asleep in death we can rest in the assurance that the sleep will be broken when jesus comes again and he will reunite us with the loved ones and all those who we hold dear to our hearts and so there is nothing to fear not the storm not the clouds not anything that angers us or makes us afraid because god is there walking beside us i hope you will sing this beautiful song along with us and if you don't know it again i'm sure it's easy enough for you to learn and then sing along so here is sheltered in the arms of god [Music] i feel good [Applause] [Music] me in the past [Music] [Music] the arms [Music] they [Music] [Music] with [Music] earth shall [Music] foreign [Music] is [Music] you must [Music] in heaven [Applause] [Music] the arms of god [Music] they won't worry me for i shall [Music] arms of god he walks with me [Music] me [Music] yes [Music] these so whether you are in that last phase in your journey on this earth or whether you are one who has lost a loved one never fear never doubt for god is with you he is sheltering you he has sheltered your loved one and he will reunite us with those who have gone to sleep that is our sure foundation of our faith and assurance godless take care and have a good week
