In this video we are having teppanyaki at a Japanese restaurant We have reserved seats at the teppanyaki table to watch our food getting cook We came on a weekday afternoon and we had the grill all to ourselves The lunch set we chose comes with the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu We get a cute rest for our chopsticks A sweet plum wine that is not too strong and smooth to the throat Our first dish from the set is the Cold Somen with Caviar & Crunchy Sakura Ebi A soy sauce base cold and chewy noodles Next is the Wafu Salad (Japanese Style Salad) A salad with wild rockets, baby spinach, red leaf lettuce and pea shoots and bonito flakes We have Max an executive chef cooking our meal The prawns are the first on the grill The legs were sent to the kitchen to get deep fried The prawn legs are back deep fried Pumkin puree and escargot sauce are heated at the side Garlic shoots Scallops Prawns & Scallop with Garlic Shoots Garlic shoots were crunchy and naturally sweet The scallops went nicely with the pureed pumpkin It was fresh, sweet and cooked perfectly The deep fried prawn legs were crispy and delicious The prawn eyeballs were tasty if you dare Cleaned prawn heads were available for the squeamish The escargot sauce offered a butter garlic flavor to the prawn And the sauce made of prawn head organs offered a strong savory rich flavor Our next dish is the Chawanmushi (Japanese Steam Egg) There was mushrooms and black fungus in it It was soft, smooth and well flavored The vegetables are next on the grill There are beetroot, lotus root, pumkin and zucchini Beef fats Our wagyu steaks are now getting ready to be cooked The default set prices comes with ribeye cut and we topped up abit more money to change the cut The thicker cut is tenderloin and the thinner one is sirloin They are A5 grade wagyu which has the highest quality in marbling, texture, color and gloss Sauces for the steaks Garlic chips A5 Miyazaki Wagyu with Vegetable The tenderloin A5 wagyu Adding just abit more salt It melts in your mouth and is bursting with flavor I think this is the most delicious steak I ever had The A5 sirloin wagyu It is slightly more chewy than the tenderloin but still very juicy and delicious The beef fats on it was cooked to a crisp and tasted like bacon Though there are lots of sauces you really need any with this delicious steak The vegetable were still crunchy and provides a little palette cleanser in between the steak The chef is now preparing our last teppanyaki dish, the Garlic Fried Rice Sakura ebi (pink shrimp) Spring onions Garlic Fried Rice with Sakura Ebi A piece of crispy rice is served on top which provide texture to the dish It is good and you can taste the butter and garlic in the fried rice The soup is the miso It has seaweed, tofu and mushrooms Our desserts have arrived Ichigo Parfait (Strawberry Parfait) There is strawberry, shaved ice and cookie bits Also a surprise of popping candy There is also vanilla ice cream if you dig deeper Overall a refreshing yet also creamy fun dessert Yuzu Composition Yuzu bits and shaved ice on top of yuzu mousse and jelly A light flavored dessert. I much prefer the popping candy one! We have came back later to try their live lobster It will be chopped in the kitchen We have chef Ping cooking our lobster Pea shoots The lobster is juicy and crunchy The sauce tasted creamy and delicious The head have lots of edible meat, you just need to dig for it So do the legs
