hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of small caliber arms review I'm Richard and today we have a savage model 25 lightweight vomiter this one is chambered in 204 Ruger and 204 Ruger was developed by Hornady and Ruger back in 2004 it's a neck down to 22 Magnum and a little tiny 20 caliber bullet I got two different ambos with me today both of them are Hornady I have a 32 grain v-max which is shooting 4225 feet per second and I've got a 40 grain v-max it clocks in at 3900 feet per second not a very heavy round they're 40 grain and 32 grain it's a pretty lightweight bullet ballistic tip but they are really screaming out there at forty two twenty five and thirty nine hundred feet per second that thing is whistling I took one of the scopes off another rifle and I mounted it on this one I got some sandbags set up here and I'm going to cite it in a little bit and then we'll we'll destroy some eggs up there I got a couple of them sitting on some golf tees on top we'll give it a try see how it does alright the model 25 lightweight vomiter has a four round detachable box magazine I've got four rounds loaded up in there they kind of stagger a little bit a little tough to get loaded in there it's a plastic magazine it kind of flexes a little bit but this is around it looks real similar to two two threes and five five sixes and it is available they do have barrels available to make your ar-15 into a 204 Ruger I just may have to do that alright loaded three rounds in the magazine seems like when I rode for in there it's a little tough to get him to feed properly and get the magazine to snap all the way up in there we're gonna try it again only three rounds in the magazine make sure it clicks feels good nope still not right something's not right here let's try this again why is this not being my friend there we go we got a defeat in there all right get the eyes and ears on get down there and give it a try Oh we'll see them now I'm Way high all right let's try that again throw another three rounds of the magazine see how it does [Applause] all right there are six rounds I'm right around it it is breezy out here today it is definitely breezy out here today kind of walking with the wind right now Sun to my back that's what that bright thing is back there anyways we're gonna walk down here the target take a peek of things okay it is really bright out here too but I was aiming for the first or for the center first there was my first shot my second shot and that's when I found it brought my third shot down to here then there was a second three group shot I did a three shot group and that was my sixth shot right there so I'm pretty good I clicked it over a little bit about 3/4 of an inch to the left and probably take this up or one up here and see if I can do any better on it okay I got another three rounds loaded up in the magazine I'm going to try my third three shot group and see if I can get a little better results on this the wind seemed to have died down a little bit they may pick up and down and up and down we'll see [Applause] [Applause] I'd say all three of those are within an inch I'm gonna put three more in there take three more shots on another target see how it does alrights get a little more exercise in we'll go check out those two groups and see how they did okay there's the other the first three shot group one two three that's what's yeah close to an inch and there's the other one that's within an inch to I'd say pretty close anyways maybe not in the same square but they're there right there all right I'm pretty sure I know right about where it's hit and like I said this is the 32 grain v-max traveling at four thousand two hundred and twenty-five feet per second I'm gonna put three rounds in here I've got two eggs sitting up there and we're gonna see if I can't finish them off unless the wind blows them off where I get a chance to miss that one one more try [Applause] egg dust everywhere all right if you've watched any of my videos you already know that I'm a big fan of savage rifles and this one is a model 25 I have another model 25 but chambered in 17 Hornet I got a friend of mine that shoots a Ruger 204 and he said he absolutely loves it he was sure that I would - I think he's right I do love it this one has a beautiful laminated wood stock on it got a little few holes in it there for lightening it up a little bit which is probably how it got the name lightweight vomiter either way I put a vortex a crossfire on here that I took off one of my other off of one of my a ours and just cited it in it's pretty close it'd be nice if it was a little less windy out here today I'd be able to tell if it's the wind doing it or me doing it but it seems to to do all right I was able to take out two eggs in three shots I missed one I may have grazed it probably scared it anyways but anyways like I said the beautiful laminated wood stock on its a thumbhole stock you know in some states that's illegal but I don't know why it just makes it a little more comfortable you get a real good purchase on the on the grip there and I think they do make it on the left-hand version too bolt action beautiful rifle it's got three heavy lugs on it and the same thing with the other savage rifles of this one you just pull the trigger back pull your bolt out make sure your unload is no magazine in or anything pull your trigger trigger back pull your bolt right out there you can see the three heavy lugs on it nice jeweled bolt on there nice long bolt to good design on it nice size knob on the handle there and it's easy to grip put it back in pull your trigger back slide it in it doesn't come up too high and hit your scope goes down it's not too close to the stock I got some that the knob actually touches the stock some of the older rifles but this one you got a good grip on it easy to work the action pretty fast on it got the Accu trigger on it and this one I did not adjust it at all it is still at the factory setting whatever that is probably I don't know three pounds four something like that you can lighten it up it comes with a little tiny tool you take your your barrel out of the stock there's a little spring in there that tool goes in there you twist it back it off a little bit you're easing the tension off the spring it makes the trigger a little bit lighter you don't have to worry about accidentally discharging it because if you don't pull the blade back on the Accu trigger it will not fire if you you don't have to worry about jarring and going off because if that blade is not pulled back it will not fire pretty light trigger on it great looking gun great shooting gun and again it's a savage and I'm pretty happy with it I don't have any savages that I'm not happy with thanks for watching the small caliber Arms review if you enjoyed this video on the savage model 25 lightweight vomiter give it a thumbs up subscribe if you haven't already and hit the notification bell so you'll know when I release a new video thanks for watching [Music]
