2025 Peterbilt 589 in Golden Amber paint! Keith Couch 970-691-3877, [e-mail]

hi everybody it's Keith couch with Rocky Mountain Peterbilts Rush Truck Centers out of gy Colorado this one is not mine and it is sold but it's a brand new 2025 uh 589 so this is the truck that's replacing the 389 which is going to get me a ton of comments and the ton of comments below but this wasn't my decision from a Manufacturing standpoint I get it it so the cabs on these is what they call the 2.1 M cab it's the same cab as a 579 and the same cab as a 567 just different Hood um it is also the same cab is the Kenworth T680 t880 and w990 so from a manufacturing standpoint all the cabs are the same now for pack our products so and it's a great cab it's a very good cab it's very quiet so from manufacturing I understand I I don't like it but I get it so with that uh Texas bumper buxon closed in front bumper um well we had Sun here for a minute but if you look at these from the side it almost looks like a short hood that was kind of my first thought it's like oh my gosh it's a shorthood it's not it's still 131 in from the bumper to the back of the cab however being a larger cab and that one piece windshield see how it sticks out a little bit takes away a little bit of that hood so you have to kind of really look at these what I've done for years doesn't work anymore I got to kind of look at them a little bit differently and get a little bit different uh perspective on it but you can see that cab pushes out in the middle quite a bit more than the 389 or 379 but the guys that will drive this will love this cab we'll take a look inside here in a minute not going to make this a huge long video a medium de tank 100-gon fuel tank on this side toolbox with steps now this sleeper back up here again it's a 80in stand up or midroof sleeper the old 389s and 379 was a 78 in so now the 80in midroof sleeper is the same for the 579 567 and the 589 so a little bit more room much nicer sleeper better layout much nicer layout and you can see here for the SAR heater that's a much nicer exhaust much better setup Trin horns no no window in the rear just four load lights Michelin 11R 225s I'm not sure what the gear ratio is on this I think it's 325 it's got lockers disc brakes so all that stuff is pretty much the same here's the jump post we like to put on there just a 150 gallon on this side just good looking truck let's take a look air ride steer axle cumins X15 probably a 132 steer I believe that's what it was still an aluminum Hood I didn't change this to plastic or fiberglass this is called Golden Amber it's a really nice looking color very nice see what we got here it's a 605 2050 torque davco fuel filter you can see here kind of how that hood kind of the windshield kind of sticks out a bit so [Music] [Music] well this she's not wanting to cooperate there we go it's a little bit different latch so we'll go inside here truck weighs 19,0 46 lb Platinum interior hinges are totally different they're more Automotive style hinges on a 580 9 much better weather seal all the way around black Sears 80 seats and if you listen sounds totally different than a 389 this one's got gauges no navigation amfm with Bluetooth on your switches suspension dump trailer suspension PTO air slide and full lockers it's got the pullout drawer here's the big difference right here look at the difference between the seats big difference so much easier between the seats is just massive now from this perspective you're really going to see it in the hood can see the hood tapers in a bit it has to the biggest reason is it's the wider wider cab so the hood has to taper in like that but it is still aluminum it's built just like the old one and here's where you can see it you can't see it very well on the outside you see how those air breathers are frenched in a little bit and it's got that Arch In The Hood Factory CB here's where it's totally different it's much more open behind your driver's seat SAR bunk heater control center much nicer windows on the 80 in [Music] storage fridge nice size fridge and uh a little Locker up here very nice the appointments and the fit and finish on the Interiors incredibly incredibly nice there's the ambient lighting which I'm a big fan of it is comp completely adjustable as you can see I don't know why the camera is not there it goes it's up and down so very nice a place for a microwave up there at your 110 little storage compartment there so with that I thought I'd share this one with you room between the seat here is huge compared to the past and these are the wide sear seats uh if you had the LX Peterbuilt seats in here you'd even have more room and those seats are just as nice so I thought I'd share this one with you delivers tomorrow it's not my truck I was not the salesman on it but since it was here thought I would share it good looking truck it's our next generation of Peterbilts right here um I'm going to miss the 379 and the 389s but this is just the way things are going it's going to be a beautiful truck and aftermarket should get a lot better on it uh we should start seeing more and more of that so with that thanks for watching appreciate it um right now if we order one of these brand new uh you're probably looking at about 7 to 8 weeks out to actually get one so the factory is moving along quite well uh they've gotten caught up from all the restricted stuff so
