[Music] oh [Music] and welcome to another live unboxing good morning good afternoon good evening depending on where you are it's Andrew it is Saturday February 10 2024 it is 10 10:02 p.m. uh P p.m. what am I doing 10:00 a.m. Pacific time here in Las Vegas Nevada I hope everybody's had a great week and we got a lot of exciting stuff here coming up so we have today the ThinkPad X1 Carbon gen 12 in the studio here ready to be unboxed tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. so make sure you mark your calendars I have the HP Spectre X360 16inch unboxing so we'll do that one tomorrow same time 10:00 a.m. Pacific time here in Las Vegas but of course depending on where your region is check your local listing and of course uh looking forward to that one as well we did the 14in and of course now we have the 16in but today we're going to focus on one I've been highly anticipating I got a chance to check this out uh at CES 2024 last month in Las Vegas of course and it's one of my favorite business focused laptops my favorite laptops I should say in general uh throughout the years of course it's the X1 Carbon and it's gone through a number of iterations a number of design changes and I think we're going to have a few design changes this year that we'll take a look at now couple of things to note here I was not sent this uh actually I was sent this by uh I wanted to say thing but by Lenovo I'm not being paid by them of course so everything you're going to see is um without their approval there's no other way to put and of course this is live now I don't think I have the one with the haptic touchpad I think that's coming later this year and I could be wrong maybe it's we will see it so that one is done by sensil as far as the touchpad that Force pad or haptic touch bed whatever you want to call it so I don't know if this is that one I don't think it is I think that's going to be in the second wave but it's probably going to have the regular mechanical traditional touchpad which is fine it has the buttons and all that stuff so we'll check that out but there are a number of changes that we're going to go over as far as the display the keyboard's a little bit different we're going to talk about that and there's a new speaker system audio system on it as well now before we get to the specs and get this out of the box I want to say hello to a few people good to see Nessa here uh nessa's Garden of treasures how are you hope you're doing well I hope your week my week was great and I hope yours was as well greetings from Bulgaria sopia that would be uh pikov and of course we've got Tomoka from Canada and we've got Nick alot how are you my friend looking forward to the graphics performance and battery life 14 gen yes core 7 Ultra on this one Intel arc graphics good to see Jose Marquez from Portugal hello from Istanbul uh good to see you hello Craig G can I do the t14s OED amg1 14 compare this with that I don't have that one uh but we can talk about it perhaps and then of course there's rapael here good to see you moderator and good friend Kyle Kennedy's here we've got greetings from Germany from I hope I can pronounce this right the zenin ivovich I don't even know I'm sure I just butchered your name I am my apologies good to see our good friend Mr rainbow loves coffee I think so i i p okay there you go I like that I like that uh we got William here of course our moderator and good friend how are you yes hit that like button that does get this help spread out over YouTube I'm not sure if the ZZ is the way to go I don't know what that is what is Zol I don't know should I buy the P1 G6 or the razor blade instead well we're talking about the X1 Carbon gen 14 so uh I don't know I I would imagine the P1 Gen 6 might be better because of Razer I'm not the biggest fan of Razer right now so uh looking forward to testing it yeah I looking forward to this s right we got too many of you uh good turnout so far we got 126 of you watching I glad to see everybody with a lot of interest all right let's get right to the specs of this let me bring it onto the stream here and let me remove yeah there we go and now we have here the ThinkPad X1 Carbon gen2 and it's a got a 14-in display now they sent over the one with a 2.8k resolution that's 2880 by 1800 okay 400 uh nits of brightness and 100% dcip coverage HDR true black display true black 500 Dolby Vision iafe certified we know that now it has the Intel Core Ultra 7 155h we've seen that before obviously we've got a few of them into the studio already so we have something to compare it to and I'm looking forward to that and improved Intel arc graphics here so we like to see that big improvement over the IRS XE 32 GB of RAM terabyte of storage Wi-Fi 6C now one thing I'm a little bit disappointed that again I don't know until we look at the specs here and when we when we get it out of the box I'd like to see Wi-Fi 7 on that maybe we'll get that later this year now moving right along here as we move this slider here so this is starting at about uh you're looking at a starting weight of 1.12 kg or 2.47 lb just shade under 2 and a half lb pretty thin pretty light IR camera here fingerprint reader we got Dolby Atmos we got new speaker system here we'll talk about and get an example of that two usba ports we'll get to the ports in a moment we we we'll do it our traditional way and then finally as tested here not cheap but one thing I will point out $2,700 obviously geared towards businesses but you know if you look at the link in the description below we know from history that Lenovo runs very aggressive sales seeing these cut in half many times so make sure you are checking the link in the description below for the latest pricing so that is the the uh that's the specs of the product and let me take off this part of it boom live is gone okay so now let's get it out of the box I will get to your comments and questions in a moment uh we got 132 of you so a lot of people here we're going to get right to it so without further Ado let's get this out of the box okay so we have right here off the bat we have the nice eco-friendly packaging from Lenovo here it says ThinkPad X1 we'll get to that in a moment let's see what power charger we get here my guess it's going to be a 65 watt and let's see here it is is 65 watt no surprise there okay so look how compact that is you got to love that so pretty compact USB type-c of course and uh it's got your power cord right there so pretty typical stuff here and then of course we get the unit itself all right so usual documentation and stuff uh warranty information typical stuff no big whoop all right here it is and once again she is a beauty I love this just classic look here so it has the ThinkPad X1 logo on here on the lid here and it's pretty nice and you got your logo Lenovo branding there now you got the communication bar up here that little lip you can see there that's going to house the IR webcam and so forth and really looks good here you can see it here so what's pretty interesting is it doesn't say uh X1 Carbon over here usually we have that that's gone uh usually says which generation so and I have gen 11 here we can take a look at the comparison but first let's take a look at this oh it does say it right here X1 gen 12 and if you can sort of see it there when we get the lighting just right could probably see it there yep you can see it there all right so looks pretty clean and you want to take a look at this uh communication bar right there let it come into Focus I can get it into Focus it's having a tough time here you get fingerprints already but there it is okay all right forget about that let's just get to work here all right so let's see if we can open it with one finger of course we can all right so let's take a look at what's different here all right so there's a few things going on here we don't have the one with the haptic touch bed as I expected we going to get that later this year that's from sensil we'll we'll of course take a look at that when the time comes but it does have the traditional touchpad there are a few design cues here so we got the fingerprint scanner over here now the button you power button which doubled as that last year is gone we're going to bring that out in a moment we'll see the comparison between gen 11 and gen 12 and then there are now some design cues there are now different um and I could bring it up here to show you really quick it's not the clearest Graphics here but there's going to be tactile markings added for improved accessibility shown in yellow here um and then if we look at our thing here so there are little cues here I see one by the um insert button there little one right over here so there are some design uh tactile markings there that you feel with your fingers so you know where you are in this really wonderful keyboard speaking of the keyboard let's give it a listen I just love the thing pad keyboards this feels really really good here all right so power button has been moved Let's uh before we turn it on let's bring on Jenn 11 to see the difference year-over-year I think that's going to be important here we'll get to your comments and questions in a moment here's Jenny Levan and you can see here if we put him the same well they're different there okay so you can see there's a few differences here obviously this is the communication bar there that's a little different it's got a reverse it's like almost like a reverse Notch so let's open this up okay and you can see here the keyboard is different right so here we have the new one we'll get that booted up in a moment but before we do that I wanted to see we could turn that off um this is uh the power button here that's gone you got the power button which doubled it a fingerprint sensor you now have your fingerprint scanner located within the keyboard there's these markings here that get that's new new there's also a new speaker system we'll get into that the other thing is you notice there are no speaker grills here the speakers are now under the keyboard it's a new system as I said there is the speaker grills here so that's year-over year that's a difference now here's another difference if you can see here the uh ThinkPad logo here is no longer embossed it's now matte finished whereas this one was a little bit more in your face I guess kind of thing so I kind of like this understated look here the touchpad is 100 120 mm I believe I think that's it let me just make sure on my spec sheet here I think we got a larger touchpad here uh I think it's 120 millim but I'll I'll have to double check that yeah 120 millim it's a glass touchpad and again later this year we'll get the one with the sensil haptic Force pad or touchpad however you want to call it uh that's going to come later this year okay so those are some of the differences you can see there pretty clear c l the difference between the two and again the big thing is the power button is now going to be on the side the fingerprint scanner and the keyboard and we we now have these little markings here that help you for accessibility and so far looking really good we'll put this to the side for now we'll get to that in a little bit but let's uh let's see the port selection on here okay so we're going to we're going to start off on the left side you have your usba Port two USB type-c fundable 4 ports you get your SIM tray for the optional mobile broadband I don't know if I have the modem I'll have to open that up to see so that's all on the left side on the right side here is the power button that's new that was moved over from the keyboard deck to the side here 3.5 mm microphone headphone combo Jack another usba Port an HDMI port and your Kensington lock Port pretty nice Port selection here uh so pretty good now one thing I do notti here and we can take a look at the difference year-over-year is I think we got different placement of the HDMI so the HDMI last year was on the left side you can see that right there so if we go year over year here so on the left is Gen 11 on the right is Gen 12 so what they did was they put the power button on that side they put the headphones the same this is different this has the the SIM tray for the optional mobile broadband on the right hand side that is different than here it's reversed and this has the usba port but no HDMI which is now on the right side right so if we switch it over here they're reversed here and you can see here the differences so now you have gen 11 here a little bit different you do have your two usba Port USBC th B ports that's the same usba ports moved over and now you have the HDMI on the other side so you see the differences between the two so this is Gen 11 this is Gen 12 all right so uh just wanted to point that out okay so let's turn it on and see how this is going we'll get to your comments and questions in a moment let's see if it has any juice it does it looks like it should be set up and let's see if you can see from this angle the well let it's get Bo up first and then we'll look at the touchpad all right we got 200 of you of watching pretty good turnout here so power button same like in the Gen 7 so it looks like they went back to that right uh I'm still not sure about the idea of switching the function and control keys so here you can see the function and control keys on this one and then let's see on this one on gen 11 yeah so they reversed that yeah good Point good I like that you pointed that out so the function keys have been reversed on the two to two two keyboards here really interesting layout right really interesting all right we'll keep that handy so if we need to look at it in a moment we can um what else do we have here Jenny 11 is better in what way in what way yeah they're changed yeah they're they're switched uh Mikel saying hi Andrew already mentioned what's inside the this carbon yeah core core Ultra 7 155h oh wow look at this uh look at this this is beautiful just FBR 2.8k OLED wow now this is the non-touch okay and it's not too glossy so that's pretty good you can get a look at it here so really really nice now that's a full HD Plus in the background there 1920 x 1200 touch display this is the non-touch model feels pretty light let's get a before we we delve more into it and we can move this to the side here we'll get we'll look at this in a moment but you can see the back here that's what it looks like and then if I turn it around this is the um really beautiful OLED display OLED 2.8k resolution as we have 238 of you make sure you do hit the like button this get spread out over YouTube good to see a big turnout now non-touch they do offer this in touch they do offer this in a full HD HD Plus resolution this is n this is a 2880 by 1800 that is a 16 to 10 aspect ratio okay so there you go all right so that is pretty gorgeous let's get a weight on this let's bring out the scale let's close this for a moment we'll get right back to opening that up again but let's uh let's see what the weight on this is let's get this little set up here okay so with just a unit alone okay with just a unit alone we're looking at 1.99 kg so that's pretty light actually 1.99 kg just shade below 1.1 and for those wondering that is 2 lb 6.8 o pretty light I think that's obviously lighter than the 11 the Gen 11 we'll we'll we'll maybe compare that all right let's get a weit with the power cord and the power charger you're now looking at 1368 kg and a total travel weight of 3 lb 3 lb 0.3 oz so there you go pretty light now in comparison just out of curiosity last year's model with the touch display on that full HD Plus let me uh turn that off and on make sure it's correct so this one which I'm glad I have that here so this one is 1.85 so just a shade under 1.1 kgam on the Gen 12 and you're looking at 1.85 kgrs which is 2 lb 9.8 o so pretty interesting and let's just make sure we had the correct number here let's just try it one more time 1.96 now so even a little bit less so you're looking at around 1.1 kilog so pretty pretty good all right so that done let's uh let's get to work here please comment please comment according to Jerry Lou please comment on the keyboard key travel size Etc compared to the previous gens I just did that rewind a little bit well we're going to bring that one out in a moment I just want to get things set up on here let me uh let me put it on me let me connect to my network here so we can get some benchmarks going here uh so far really nice touchpad here of course the one with the sensil haptic touchpad will be coming later this year so expect to get a unit on that hopefully as I'm connecting to my network here how many likes do we have here 90 so let's get it over 100 people all right so now that I'm connected up here let me connect this to my network here to my dock rather with my Thunderbolt cable like that it's on the left side so I don't have to reach over around here do a reach around as they say uh treb I don't I'm not going to do battery life I just took it out of the box I still have to do all my testing that takes so that's a big timec consuming one we'll talk about that very soon okay so don't worry I will cover the battery and all that all right so uh let me uh go to the internet here you can see what I'm doing here and let me go to uh let's go to geek bench.com I probably spelled that wrong I did you know what I do like this um this keyboard feels really good really good so far all right so we're going to download geekbench we're going to take a look at the Lenovo Vantage app while that's downloading and I think this is going to be controlled by Windows if I'm not mistaken but we'll we'll double check that let's go to device power and yeah it's got the intelligent cooling so let's make sure on our power and sleep settings that we're on the performance mode and that's what we're going to put it on best performance and let's now close that let's go to our downloads let's see if this is done looks like it is and I hear the fans starting to kick in so while that's uh going to load in I just want to do something real quick Let's uh let's get that loaded in hold on let me just install this this is a quick one Lenova recommends you install these updates optimized so there is a bios already update I'm going to I'm not going to do that yet I think I'm going to do that offline because I don't want anything to go arai here we're trying to do pretty smooth live stream here I will put that bios update later that could be important especially with the core Ultra processor the meteor Lake here so let's run that but I want to see let's go to the system here so this unit has uh 32 GB of RAM that's what I wanted to know but we'll talk about speed of the RAM and all that in a moment core Ultra 7 155h okay that's what I wanted to see all right so we'll do that later blah blah blah let's close that and now without doing the BIOS update or anything let's run the the CPU Benchmark here geekbench 6 so uh let's take a look at it and see what kind of result we'll get it's right out of the box no bios update no Windows update so just keep that in mind so the keyboard how I don't have a t16 in front of me right now so I can't tell you but I can tell you I'm a big fan of the X1 Carbon that's my opinion of course keyboard feels great feel keyboard feels great is the track point the same as last gen uh I didn't really try the track point I'm trying it now but we'll we'll look at it a little bit later or also in the upcoming review so pretty good so far as we have 220 of you so it's a pretty nice turnout yeah I'll do the C bench uh very soon we're going to get to that is it available in UAE I don't know outside North America I'm sorry did he cover the battery life we'll do that in the full review comment I already talked about the keyboard screen conveys good image quality visible even through the live yeah I'm I'm loving this screen here you can actually see and I love that it's not a very glossy display it's got an anti- glare coating on it it looks like non-touch there is a Touch version but this is certainly lighter without that touch layer and I got to tell you this is very vibrant I've got the brightness all the way up here looks pretty pretty gorgeous here so function control keys are reversed here so and by the way let's see if we can see function and that's the you can see the backlight looks pretty good again against these dark keys not much of an issue this is fully bright here right there pretty good so I'm I'm liking what I'm seeing so far and I agree Raphael not very glossy that's a good thing you know how I feel about glossy displays in fact I'm going to have to lower the brightness this is getting blown out here so I'm going to go down to for about 50% so you can actually see it I had to lower the brightness it's been it's pretty good in terms of that brightness so I didn't want to blow you out there so there you go can you confirm it reaches 500 nits that would Bree with uh Peak brightness when you're looking at HDR it's an HDR black 500 display trackpad looks nice according to keyboard G nice and wide 120 mm so it should be bigger right as that's what she said uh should be bigger than Jenny L here as we're running that first Benchmark so so um so you can see here it does look a little bit bigger here let's see if I can put it so you can see it in a way that you can see it let's put this all the way down yeah yeah it looks wider it looks wider so it's a bigger touch pad 120 mm glass touchpad now again sensil will be coming out with their Force pad haptics later this year in the next wave loving this so far by the way so light wow and it is less it is lighter than that Touch version we saw on gen 11 that I had here I have the Gen 10 I'm happy to I'm gen you're happy with your gen 10 I would also like to get the same page on if an upgrade to 12 is worth it uh if of course it only gets to gen 12 when the loan over has their sales yeah so again always follow Richard the link in the description below for the latest pricing Lenovo does run some aggressive sales we know that from any history is any indication we know that you are pushing the laptop left and right easily what size of what size of the rubber feet we'll look at the bottom in a moment when we uh take a look at the bottom uh it's a light laptop I can tell you it feels lighter using it in this initial few minutes than gen 11 so and we saw on the screen it definitely is wobble on the screen let's take a look here doesn't when you're going to be typing I don't want to mess up the uh The Benchmark here so you have a looks like you have a shutter switch here yeah so we have a shutter switch here as as well we'll talk about that now it's red and we'll we'll talk about it pretty easy to move that back and forth a little bit easier than past iterations Windows halom is better than Windows Pro I don't know it just depends uh e why not run the updates and then box it up again and do the unboxing updates are needed to run as intended I could do that you want to sit through a bios update we can do it it's up to you let me know good to see our good friend one bad van how for you my friend all right we'll get our result in a moment almost zero wobble I agree keyboard G it's a much lighter device it feels lighter so far and a pretty nice score here let's see um you can see here so this is without the BIOS update or anything single core 2043 multicore 12,224 again I didn't run any of the updates I didn't do that bios update so just keep that in mind I'll give you the final results in the full review let me take a screenshot okay there it is okay how to find that okay I took the screenshot here all right so that's the now single core 2043 you know could it be a bit higher maybe I don't know again I didn't run that bios update all right so let's uh let's do the GPU test so this is the open c this will test those Intel Arc graphicss for those wondering and it's going to be it should get I'm looking for double what we saw on Iris XE all right so I think doing a preliminary test before updates and after one update to show the updates have an effect we could do it I could run that bios update we'll see we see time what we have we'll see so far my initial impr impressions are the display is absolutely stunning stunning display great job Lenovo uh I like the anti- glare coating on it I like that it's not highly reflective love that again you're a business user you don't want to be distracted in any way you want to get your work done um it's lighter than the Touch version from last year it's definitely shaved off some weight it's very thin I mean this thing is extremely thin you can see it here uh super thin now the keyboard a big change here the keyboard layout is different they reverse the control and function buttons keys and they also put some little little indicators little indentation or little things here things uh little indentations or not indentations not indent it's little tabs or something that you feel when for accessibility purposes you feel it when you're typing so you don't have to look at it oh see that's about double right 34 35,000 yep that's good that's better than Iris XE okay so that's our first let me let me bring over some other benchmarks here just so we can get it um let me go to my drive here and let me scroll down keyboard looking good so far again you have to get used to some of the different layouts here oops okay there we go let's put that onto that drive can see what I'm doing here I missed the keyboard quality hope you can repeat well you can rewind it keyboard's great keyboard is fantastic we're going to we're going to look at it more is a dynamic display 60 or 90 that we're going to talk about that as well so actually we could talk about that now let's go to the system settings here display settings and 2880 by 1800 and if we go down to um Advanced display settings here right now it's on 60 but we can put it on 120 so I had it on 60 so let's uh keep the changes now it's 120 now if we scroll around oh yeah you can see it here so much smoother oh yeah yeah now it's on 120 now it's really shining folks wow that looks really good and it's pretty bright but it even blows out the camera so that's a good sign in terms of screen brightness all right so that being said let's go to the next uh Benchmark here let's go to the downloads and we're going to do cinebench R15 it's an older test but it definitely is a quick one so we can do speaking of the screen do they have a different ICC profiles or different color gamuts so if we go back here uh let's go to display settings I don't know if we can switch it like some Brands let you do it I don't know we may have to do it in the advanced display so I don't you can do I I don't know because I'm connected up to that um maybe we can look at that in the upcoming video we'll have to take a look good to see how you doing George uh drall saying in my opinion battery life goes on rest in peace with highres and 120 OLED could put it on 120 I didn't see that it doesn't doesn't didn't show that it's a dynamic but it may be because I'm connected here to my HDMI I'm not sure if that affected that I didn't see where it says it was Dynamic this is 120 HZ on this particular uh display but we'll have to take a look at that all right let's take a look at the cin bench let's extract that okay maybe we should run that uh that's running pretty slow look at that 1% what that what's that about oh there it goes it must have had something okay never mind um now it's going is 120 120 HZ OLED available on the Gen 11 no you don't get the hund you don't get the high refresh rate on the last year's version I could be wrong but I think it's only that's something new for this year but somebody correct me if I'm [Music] wrong I wonder June like the month I wonder if the side power button will be more reliable certain yoga products had a similar design that broke easily uh I never had that happen to me with the yoga products that I've gotten in the past so uh I couldn't really say till we use it in in long term okay let's bring that up here so so 120 HZ will use more battery OLED will drain more battery but of course I'll do all my tests and I will run it with 120 HZ enabled of course so we'll get the worst case scenario kind of thing all right let me do the openg G that'll test the arc graphics I'm expecting here uh better than the iris XE anywhere from 75 to 100 is what we saw with the iris XE let's see what the open GL score will be with these Iris the Intel Arc for 2024 here what about the t-14 Gen 3 does it have it I don't know I don't know if anybody knows that let us know compared according to Prem llama compared to the Spectre X360 how would this how was the keyboard that's a good one I I got to tell you that HP Spectre X360 14in has a great keyboard um I'm a big fan of the thinkpads I have I love the ThinkPad keyboards I love these keyboards here and um these are my favorite I would say that's going to come in just a shade below with the HP although that's a really good one now I do have the 16inch unboxing tomorrow same time uh but tomorrow at 10: a.m. so make sure you check it out and this is running this test and we're going to get our result here wow that's very good okay let's uh let me show you so it got a score of 147 now to put that into perspective I would get anywhere between 75 and say 110 with Iris XE so we're already getting a much better score here 140 almost 150 so let's run the CPU of this core Ultra 7 155h which is the new meteor Lake processor and I'm a big fan of it now again I didn't do the Bros Update that was ready to go right out of the box um I just don't want to bore you with doing an update but maybe we can do it maybe it won't take that long we'll see uh we'll see how the stream goes here what 16-inch laptop Mike okay uh the HB Spectre x366 is coming tomorrow I have it here will be unboxing it 10: a.m. Pacific time tomorrow I already have a link up for it so make sure you turn on the notification does the screen flicker when the Intel power savings is turned on after suspending how does it feel compared to the HP Firefly zbook G10 their keyboard is also great and seems to be less scratchy oh I'd have to pull that one out as far as the zbook um I think it's going to be pretty good I think it's going to be pretty good this is a pretty decent score here let me just take a again I'd have to pull that one out and see what's going on there all right that's a cinebench R15 now let's do the cinebench R20 real quick while we have it out here let me extract that okay everything seems pretty Zippy here so far now one thing I do notice the fan the fan is going I don't know if it's one fan or two fans we'll have to open that up good turnout good turnout we have about 240 of you watching right now and we have 28 likes do me a favor hit that like button what are there any core Ultra laptops with swap swappable Ram I um that's a good question William I I'm not sure I may have one coming that might have it I I don't I don't know for sure I'll have to check in with you on that when I do get it so far it's been very Snappy Raphael what are my thoughts on this fake HDMI 2.1 Port I got Bamboozled and will return it because of that thanks so um it's not 2.1 is it a tmds is that what you're talking about I'm not really sure what you mean by fake it doesn't give you the full 2.1 capabilities is that what you're saying how do we know did you buy this one let us know I don't know elaborate a little bit more all right so here's the cinebench R20 what's my favorite laptop of 2024 so far of the ones I've done so far I think my favorite is the HP Spectre X 3614 of course we have a lot more here to cover with new laptops that have just come in that I can't even talk about just yet but suffice it to say so far out of the meteor Lake laptops that I reviewed the three or four now again this one I have to test because I just got it so I can't include that in the bunch just yet but on the three that I looked at the Asus Swift go4 the HP P Spectre X 360 and the so just keep that in mind I think I think the ThinkPad is comparable to the Zen book well you know it just depends which model right so are we talking pro model we're not we not talking pro model it just depends on what it is can you say something on the fan noise in the past the generations fans was quite loud on the i7 I hear the fans is it overly loud I mean I hear it it's Audible and we're going to do our fan test we're going to do the decibel meter on that and we'll also get the thermal performance here as far as the surface temperatures in a moment uh 36 38 a pretty decent score again not the highest we've seen I don't think this has so far been the highest again I didn't do that at bios update and it's such a thin and Light chassis it may not get there it depends on how much they tempered this for thermal considerations of course all right so let's let's go to the Let's test the SSD here let me go to the crystal dis Mark here I just want to see how that um SSD speeds the reads and wrs on it are so let's uh run this so we have a one terabyte SSD on this no ryen variant for this I think if you want something similar sort of look for the T14 with the AMD or look at the Z series which is an all AMD offering obviously worked in close collaboration between AMD and Lenovo it's amazing according to Seton it's amazing how the fan noise on my x3s my daily laptop I can't stand the fan noise activity on these latest Intel processors do you have the latest is that x13 have a a a me a meteor Lake let us know so far the read is looking really good 7,000 wow refresh rate 120 I switched it it came out of the box in my review unit at 60 HZ I switched it to 120 in the advanced settings in the display settings and welcome Bubba is dumb if I could find it here to welcome to bronze level member Bubba is not dumb what did I say I'm sorry did I say bubba is D no Bubba is not thumb there you go thank you bubba you're now a member I see does the screen flicker when the Intel power savings I don't know we'll have to test that out I will do a lot of power saving settings and all that stuff but thank you for becoming a member anybody wants to join there is a join button Super Chat super stickers all help support the channel anyone know will get a new any new in P series the P series is done Oh you mean like the P1 um later this year I think that would be later this year I thought I thought you meant P series and Intel uh that's done we're not going to get that in that was from last year all right so um oh I'm glad you'll be there Richard I'm glad to see that I'm trying to get to all your comments and questions if I miss some uh you got it thank you bubba um harp sing uh please mention display brightness so I think it's the specs say 400 nits standard dynamic range 500 nits uh in Peak brightness with HDR High dynamic range Tim Brewer good to see you hi Andrew do you feel there is any significant difference in durability between this and the Zen z13 Gen 2 or the elite dragonfly G4 I need a strong machine the G the the Zenbook I'm sorry the uh the dragonfly Elite G4 excellent build it's a got I think a magnesium alloy so it's it's durable but it's lightweight this is going to be along those similar lines all right in terms of durability this is going to be along those lines very thin and light very durable so far I don't think you can go wrong with it but again I just took it out of the box wolf industry will there be any HP Elite book 1040 G11 maybe I guess I just don't know anything from HP once I get that I will let everyone know any information on that will be passed along can you bless me with a Samsung s24 Ultra please I would be totally happy if you could well uh that's a tough one my friend um I had a scrape and scrimp to buy that one no I check out my video for those that didn't see I think Raphael might have uh put a link to that before the live stream thank you Raphael if you might maybe you could put it again to my uh um F series as I want to call it I did it with the iMac F the iMac and then F the iPhone can it's doing okay actually um after a little bit of a slow start because I'm not a phone not known as a phone reviewer it's come alive so we'll see so far yeah it's doing pretty well uh over almost 6,000 views are you satisfied with the specs and test result of this price point yet you know listen that price will change uh if history is any indication Lenovo runs very aggressive sales don't ever buy and again Lenovo close your ears don't ever buy Lenovo products when they're first launched on their website they usually double the price of what its real price should be usually they cut it by 40 50% uh so I would wait wait wait for that we got a little um blurriness there okay looks like we're okay all right looks like a really good SSD here is the price reasonable I would I would wait till it goes on sale I would never buy anything at Lenovo site right off the bat unless you absolutely have to but they usually run some aggressive sales all right so that's pretty good uh let me take a screenshot of that perfect very good reads and writs all right now let's uh let's take a look at the camera what do you say so let me bring up the camera so far I'm loving the display so they have the windows Studio effect or the AI as they call it the studio effect it has an npu should have an mpu let's uh let's take a look at this let me clean it hold on let me uh let me clean it there is a shutter switch let me go to the settings Here video so right now it's on 1080p 30 frames per second looks pretty good looks nice and clear again I don't know until I check everything out it should be the IR camera that means it allows you to log in with Windows hello looks pretty good to me now let's close this out but before we do that let's see auto framing looks like it's working pretty good actually uh we got the eye contact we've got background blur pretty good pretty good one thing I want to check out here let me let me minimize this let's go to the settings here let's go to the task manager I want to see if there's an mpu so perform yeah there's the mpu so there it's not doing anything right now and if I go over here let's see if it does anything move over a little bit so it doesn't look like it's doing anything the mpu anyway we know how that works but fine whatever uh but it does have mpu all right let's turn that off I think it's pretty good let me know what you think let's close that all right so so far looking pretty good eagerly Andrew eagerly awaiting for Lenovo Yoga 9i 2 in1 review and it's comparison with the Spectre X360 we'll take a look at that once I get it I don't have that just yet and thank you Raphael for putting the link to my Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra for review all right let me uh let me load in cinebench R23 I want to test The Thermals I want to test the fan noise so far so let me go to my downloads here and cinebench R23 I will I'll do r24 or 2024 in the full review as I do okay leave something for the full review as we have 200 of you watch
