so the Himalayan 4552 is not the 4552 it's just the Himalayan it's completely new not a single thing from the old motorcycle has been taken forward so that means the new engine which Royal Enfield calls the Sha is a 452cc liquid cooled four valve doc motor which has a nearly Square configuration it makes 42 newon M at 5500 RPM and just 4 something BHP at 82,000 RPM and about 500 RPM after that is the red line for this motorcycle carik told us is that it reminds you of the old Himalayan in being relaxed in character although it's not a slow motorcycle anymore and despite how the old 411s were the 4552 holds on to its performance after you've passed the talk uh Peak the gearbox is slick the clutch is light it's got a slip slipp assist clutch now uh what they're missing is traction control and cruise control Al they do have ride by wire now you've got two riding modes Eco which Cuts performance in the first four gears the top two gears are full performance and performance which is all perform performance and you can turn the rear ABS off in either of the two modes if you like yeah on the chassis side it's a brand new spine frame it's got new sha upside down Folks at the front you've got a linkage type to your Monoshock with seven step adjustable yeah twin Spar frame uh yeah showers at both ends so the engine is a stressed Pember of this Frame you've got a 17 L fuel tank and the airbox above the engine you've got a seat that goes from 805 to 825 for the optional low seat 825 to 845 for the tall seat and this adjustment is toolfree and happens on the motorcycle you don't need to do anything else and also on the chassis front we forgot U uh the rear tires a radial and it's a 217 setup uh and there is the option of tubless spoked wheels which is not on sale yet they will come to the summit model which is the top model of the Himalayan we don't know when yet because there is some certification issue with these uh tubeless rims so Royal Enfield is able to Source them and Export them right now but they're not able to sell them in India yet but when they appear they will be retrofittable to all the models of the Himalayan so even if you by a summit you should be able to access those when you want to ride it's a really nice motorcycle Karthik did not feel that the 21in wheel gets in your way when you're riding twisties off-road it held its own really well so it does that well too he actually had pons on board when he was riding Offroad and still the motorcycle didn't actually misbehave so the only thing he would change there is that the brake is a very gentle breake not a lack of force but a lack of bite and I think he thinks that you could have a little bit more bite so the amount of work that you to put in to break on this motorcycle could be reduced a little bit but otherwise it's as the old Himalayan was effortless in most conditions it's just a heck of a lot faster and more capable now and even more easy and if you can believe it even easier than before quality levels are okay we don't anticipate any reliability issues but there's no way to say this time has to pass before we know how reliable the motorcycle will turn out to be service intervals are 5,000 km apart we don't know what the prices are but Ro Enfield service is usually good yeah tires suspension uh brakes touring Sport City yeah so what what I'd like you to do is if you have any questions further than this please leave us a comment do rate my summary out of 10 how good the summary you think was uh do rate how you think the Himalayan was out of 10 and you can use the context of the old Himalayan as a reference or just like a current day ADV format motorcycle as a reference if you prefer and uh we are going to get this motorcycle for test we don't know when yet should be soon I should be soon once we test it we'll have uh motoring view story and comparisons with relevant motorcycles some of the motorcycles you think are relevant are actually relevant but we'll discuss that later um and the price will come out at the end of November when Royal Enfield has the motoe event so there is currently no price on the motorcycle yet our anticipation is prices will start at 2.6 they will finish at 2.7 except for the tubless pooke model that will probably go another 10 to 15,000 rupes more than that or hoping we are right we've announced the prices we we have announced the prices not Ari has announced the prices just just just so be clear okay what do you think what do you think the price should be let us know yeah thank you so much for watching this is motoring first thank you so much foraying all the way till the end thank you
