draft grades for every AFC team uh Hayden came up with them I had nothing to do with them I've never seen them in fact so this is what is going to make this conversation fun we already did this exercise on the 16 NFC squads go and watch that video couple notes Here we also have Dynasty fantasy football rankings coming up in the next few days and on top of that actual positional rankings for your hot hot best ball summer drafts for Fantasy positional rankings as well coming out next week so it's just another week and a half of work we have ahead of us and then it's summer break for us time to get tan right Josh yes yeah strong Tan on the way there we go for me um I'm excited for this again NFC conversation was fantastic how we're going to order this is the order of which each of these teams drafted in round one so that means we kick things off with Patriots with a third pick the Patriots took quarterback Drake May out of North Carolina fifth pick in the second round Jaylen pulk wide receiver out of Washington third round pick Kaden Wallace T tackle out of Penn State fourth round picks Javon Baker was the second one UCF wide receiver Lane Robinson a Texas A&M guard then after that a few more late round darts including another quarterback in Tennessee's Joe Milton and a tight end out of Florida State Jim Bell what grade did you give Nick Redmonds doing the Patriots I'll give Drake may an a and then the rest of it was kind of more of a c so I kind of went in the Middle with a B obviously none of these picks will matter except for the Drake May one and to me it was the right decision they could have gone with JJ McCarthy they could have traded down I just say pick the guy with the traits that can kind of go maybe compete with the top end dudes and I think Drake May is very coachable I think that there's some mechanical issues that he needs to work out but he set the college football uh total EPA record uh two years ago as a true sophomore so that intrigues me over there and he's got to got the the the tools to develop into somebody and then it's not the best landing spot because of their offensive line and wide receiver still question marked with the coaching staff but at least he gets to sit behind jacobe brassette if he proves not to be ready but I think long term this will be a good uh spot for Drake may just because he can go compete in New England has the arm strength and the tenacity to go kind of fit that type of weather now just like the Washington commanders uh I was nominating myself to play left tackle for the New England Patriots for quite some time and yeah at least Drake May is coming out of a program where he's had to put things on his back he's he's had to recognize where pressure packages and pressure looks are coming from and Drift Away now it's going to be a very different offense he probably has here with Alex vanel than what the air raish system he was running with North Carolina this past year but man I mean we've seen it he has called protections he's worked under Center he's massive body that has athleticism so it's going to be a growing pain is season yes I will add lowkey love what this team did in round two and round four at wide receiver nothing extremely flashy there's a bunch of phenoms Godzilla types that we've seen with super athleticism at the wide receiver position this year but they took in my opinion some refined players in first Jaylen pul at the top of the second round which might have been early for some people in their wide receiver Stacks but I think he can be Josh Downs is and terms of working over the middle of the field as a slot player who can make some difficult contested grabs and work over that middle of the field area and we talk about all the time xwide receivers are are tough to find right yes Javon Baker getting one in round four and who knows if he's gonna hit right he he didn't work out at Bama he worked out at UCF but he is a nasty mean rude route Runner guy after the catch with aggressive hands as well uh not many teams doubled up at wide receiv and I really liked what the Patriots did in that regard I thought you summed it up perfectly Jaylen pman a little bit too early 37th overall I had more of a mid to late second round great on him but if the Patriot just said look we need competent wide receiver play to build some type of relationship with our rookie quarterback then I totally get it like Jaylen pulk to me could do like Josh Palmer things inside outside versatility physical enough just athletic enough to make uh somebody Miss as well so I think he's going to be a rock solid starter for them I hope that he gets on the field immediately I'm guessing that he will uh I don't think that Juju is long for this team now that they've added two more bodies here uh but like you said Javon Baker is the upside swing here and we'll see if he actually hits but like you gushed gushed about at uh glush glush yeah it's been a long weekend that's that's for another show uh what you gushed about during the Javon Baker uh episode was that he like runs a real route wins down the field has made some great contested grabs could play Beyond his frame it has a little bit of of juice to him after the catch there were some dropped passes there were some weird fumbles there was some to me a little overselling of his routes there's a little bit of maturity that needs to happen with his game but we're trying to roll the dice at X wide receiver that can win downfield if he hits that's a very good body to have and he went a little bit later than I was expecting uh Adam ranked 92nd overall he went even beyond that so I think there was a perfect dice rall for the team and for both of these players in pul and Baker they are used to catching in tight window areas right uh Drake may this past season at UNCC it felt like every single one of his throws that was beyond seven yards was into a tight window so he's not going to be afraid to throw it NFL open I think to both these guys it wouldn't shock me at all if by the end of the season that these are their two starters in two wide receiver sets now that also speaks to you know the Kendrick Bourne Demario Douglas who is you know a PPR machine scam scam uh who the hell knows with six round pick kjan bouty uh and you know they brought in KJ Osborne I think like the lowest in outcome for Jaylen pulk is KJ Osbourne in the NFL in fact and I think the highend outcome is is Robert Woods that Dynamic would be totally plausible and a rookie quarterback's best friend yeah I think it's totally fine the where I had some problems with the Patriots was yeah the tackle and then the third round pick uh I didn't get to because they were ranked 186 and 175th on consensus boards consensus boards can be totally wrong on these guys I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about these two but they went a 100 picks before than most people thought they were going to go and there was a bit of run on tackles that the Patriots just missed out on uh in the second late second early third round and I think they kind of panicked with the Kaden Wallace selection but who knows maybe he hits or maybe he's he's Cole strange we'll find out for the first time this summer of about 50 times I'm going to mention how much hund hry I'm going to draft this is the offense from K of fantasy this is the offense that Drew ping is running Alex Mel I'm sure will put some of his wrinkles on it too but those offenses feature tight ends so heavily and Hunter Henry is clear of any other Talent on this roster at that position and so he's gonna be a primary pass catcher I really do feel like for as long as he's healthy on this team I don't even know how it got brought up but somehow on our draft stream Cole McCoy was talking about how good hun I brought it up yep yeah I was like all right there we go do you think Drake May starts immediately he's GNA start at least 12 games a MRE will be week one and I wouldn't hate it if he had if he had this miss the first month I think that's totally fine let the Patriots find out who their best wide receivers are and offensive lineman the first month and then go into it he's definitely good enough to roll that out but Jobe brette like could take a little beating while they figure out which wide receivers go go where and by the time Halloween rolls around if that's when Drake May comes out I I don't think that's a bad plan yeah uh again I think they front five right now is going to be chuk oor for who was a cast off by the Pittsburgh Steelers at left tackle then Cole strange David Andrews City sa and Micha winu we'll see Chargers the Los Angeles Chargers fifth overall pick Joe alt tackle out of Notre Dame they will shift him over to the right side then moving up to the second pick of the second round wide receiver lad makoni out of Georgia Jim Harbaugh goes to the Michigan well fifth pick of the third round linebacker Junior Coulson out of Michigan then the rest of their picks Justin ebi defensive tackle abog gibi out of Alabama IBO agbi ebo iby Alabama defensive ATT roro uh then also tarhe still a corner out of Maryland anyways the rest you all know about including finishing with two wide receivers so three wide receiver picks in this draft Brennan rice from USC and Cornelius Johnson the other Michigan wide receiver so Hayden what was their grade this an A+ I mean they knocked this one right out of the park I mean how no not even at all EX like on the first day I was like okay they should probably draft Malik neighbors but they they handled it appropriately had a public argument about this on Twitter right Joe altz once once they I knew that they're going to draft lad makoni then it totally makes sense I think Malik neighbors and Joe Al are both fantastic prospects moving Joe Al to right tackle he's got the athleticism to figure it out he will be coached up over there I trust this staff to get the most out of him and I think that he has like Hall of Fame level traits over there lad makoni was the one that sold me here like I I I dared them to draft lad makoni and they did it he is so perfect for this offense inside outside versatility add some juice out there if they want to keep Josh Palmer Quint Johnson on the field on the the perimeter lad makoni is going to absolutely eat in the slot he should go so much earlier than those two guys he's by far the most talented player on the field I sometimes worry about his ability to stay on the field because he missed some time at Georgia and he's not the biggest player out there but the combination of Joe alt and lad makoni makes more sense than it would have if it was Malik neighbors and then whatever role the dice tackle would have been available there so they handled this appropriately and then Junior Coulson was a fantastic pick but Joe Al lad makoni one two punch gets me fired up yeah just to outline that there were no offense of tackles selected in the second round until I believe pick 55 overall and that was Patrick Paul out of Houston yeah so in a way as you said you were having to debate and decide between Malik neighbors and Patrick Paul or Joe Al and lad makoni and I'm totally with you that they made the right decision even though you know the former awesome Notre Dame tackle has never played right tackle I think they're going to figure it out um do you know what they called lad makoni in their press conference I don't know he's a little Bowers they called him a little bers this was straight out of Jim Harbaugh's mouth Jim Harbaugh loved him man said he can be outside can be inside he loves the guys who can run in the four threes he offers versatility you see him work versus Zone versus man he was the guy that we and all the scouts targeted gave him a starter level grade and this was the note that stood out to me because I'm sure they have gone back and watched Chargers tape from last season quote the quarterback knows where he is going to be because he is precise guess where which pass guer the quarterback doesn't know where he's goingon to be and isn't precise Quinton Johnson right so we're already getting probably different language describing these two guys not saying QJ doesn't have a role in this offense but but if we were just assuming who's going to be out there more often and is going to be more dependable with an awesome quarterback it's going to be lad M he's a mid-round Target in fantasy I don't know where he's gonna end up in ADP but I'm I'm gonna want to be on the right side of history with this what he's gonna get he's gonna get pepper even if they don't pass the ball a ton like he he's gonna absolutely cook uh they also said they thought they were choosing at that early second round pick between lad makoni and Junior Coulson and they were very fortunate yes and able to get both yeah he was my first overall player um what's unique about him he's a little bit bigger than a lot of the the linebackers that come out now and then he also wears the Green Dot he's the communicator and that's going to be key because they're bringing in a new offense or a new defense with Jesse Minter he obviously comes from that exact defense and if you are used to what the Baltimore Ravens did or if you watched Michigan in the playoff run lots of different coverages Zone coverages man coverages we're blitzing we're doing a little bit of everything so he's going to ABS absolutely be able to help them kind of communicate uh and they they needed a linebacker for a long time now the other part of this just like we were talking about with the Dallas Cowboys on the NFC grade version by the way go and watch that video hit that subscribe button leave a thumbs up this team didn't draft a running back either you know until very late the sixth round and kamani vidall uh I think he's at a Troy if I'm not mistaken I didn't watch him for a single snap I think he's a Brett Coleman favorite so maybe I need to uh but they signed JK Dobbins off everything JK Dobbins is off of and Gus Edwards so they've replaced it another year with the Ravens backfield you have Isaiah Spiller who's been not a good player since being a fourth round pick back in 20122 and that's it so we basically have two offenses that are we thought was going to run the ball a lot especially this one Hayden after investing this offensive line and we don't have I would say right now a healthy above average Talent at the running back position on this team how dare you with Gus bus Gus bus could he he can drive it he's a role player he a role player he's a really good role player he scores touchdowns but he's a role player he's get he's getting 15 touches per game in this off and goal line if if they had taken Trey Benson or Jonathan Brooks or one of these guys in round two even like audri ese later on that could have given me some like juice to get excited for but this team needed a linebacker this team needed an edge rusher to get younger there they're still missing a center they're still missing a guard they're still missing a corner and stuff like they had so many holes we talked about in like our preview show of the offseason this team had so many holes I think they walked away with three for sure starters in the first three rounds um it's going to take a couple years to get this full thing right and I think that if you're going to punt off a position that you don't have a true starter for to me running back would be the one where I'd be fine with especially like those two guys know the system like it's not going to be too hard for them to handle totally I'm I'm only saying it in the regard of fantasy yes if we were going to rank running backs you and I joked of oh it's the one that's get drafted by the Cowboys and the r and the Chargers that we were going to get most excited for and now none of those are the case well we've gotten fired up about Gus bus on this show and it's worked so I'll probably be drafting some JK doin too anyway just wanted to make that want to make that Mark Titans Tennessee Titans in round one pick seven took right tackle JC leam sixth pick of the second round at least to me shockingly took the massive big body defensive tackle of Texas dandre SWAT fourth round Cedric gray the linebacker out of North Carolina fifth round Jarvis brownley Jr the corner six round jaquin Jackson wide receiver out of two lane love the lam selection I didn't have a chance to go back into their post-draft press conferences and see if he was going to play right side or the left side but Hayden what grade did you give them I gave them a B minus they definitely wanted Joe Al I think everybody did but consolation prize JC lean I think is as good as it gets he is not the same body type as Joe Al is he's really thick but he can really move his feet he's awesome in the Run game but definitely athletic enough to hold up in pass protection he will move to the left side that's where he played in high school uh Alabama almost moved him over to the left side but they had another player that they wanted to get on the field and lean was so good as a right tackle they kept him there they're not concerned about moving him to the left side and they got the best offensive line coach out there to make that transition easier zero concerns about JC Lam great pick there the second round pick blew my mind and I haven't talked to the dude the Titans might have answers here but to me if you have partying concerns on your resume and you have weight concerns on your resume and in the pre-draft process when you're about to make millions and millions of dollars you don't weigh in at the Senior Bowl because you're overweight and then you get a du DUI a month and visit the team the next day that's unserious that's like deeply unserious as a as a prospect and I I don't understand how this ownership would allow this to happen when Isaiah Wilson just happened this is the same exact situation now sweat could be awesome by the way I think that most people's grades sweat just on the field were more late second round third round anyways that he wasn't like some All-Star Prospect to me to draft him where they did completely shocked me I mean you can't get a DUI a month before and not weighing at this the day before was going on a team visit to the Tennessee Titans that's un serious he'd be completely off my board we we're not doing DUI if if you're on Pace to make millions of dollars and you're still not taking it serious how are you going to convince me that when you're on the football team you're going to take it serious and again maybe he did with them right like maybe he did because he was they were able to speak to him and they went through that process what did you even say I'm I'm with you um again it was a shocking selection once it happened this team obviously cut tyer tart like halfway through or three fours the way through last season he was their best for weird reasons think they yeah they brought in Sebastian Joseph who been a really good run stuffer when healthy but seems like he never plays 17 games um they brought in Kenneth Murray too I realized who like runs the opposite direction it's a weird defense um it's it's a weird team at this moment I'm I'm really excited what Brian Callahan can do offensively I'm far more amped on the offensive side of the ball obviously Jeffrey Simmons Is Awesome on that side on the opposite end and lerus need trading for him um I do think if JC leam and you have no concerns which is great that Trio of laam scony and Len cushenberry can be a really strong and even you know bigger words than that better words than that for this team to build off of with Tony Pard and Taj Spears or Taj Spears and Tony Pard in the backfield plus Calin Ry and DeAndre Hopkins lowkey excited for this offense they'll be entertaining to watch at the very least uh real quick their third round linebacker three straight Seasons with 100 plus tackles he also is good and the past game could play special teams I was surprised that he was not drafted earlier uh right when he was drafted he was asking the coaches if he can wear the Green Dot and handle the communications something that you just mentioned Kenneth Murray probably can't no I guarantee you outside of Kenneth Murray and maybe you couldn't have named if he was on this rer you couldn't name another linebacker on this team right now no I think that this kid was going to start though yeah I think he's good I think so too IDP leagues there you go 100 tackles three straight years a third round pick I mean let's go Jets the New York Jets we on the clock pick 11 bypassed Brock Bowers for Penn State tackle Olu fashanu then next pick was in round three the first one Malachi Corley wide receiver out of Western Kentucky we'll talk about that one then in the fourth round end of it yes but they take their running back and brillan Allen out of Wisconsin then a backup quarterback in Jordan Travis in the fifth round at the end of that Isaiah Davis right after that a running back out of South Dakota State and qu quantz quantz stigers uh the corner who has a tremendous Story coming out of the Canadian League the Toronto Argonaut so what was your grade for the New York Jets I gave them a B minus um I think that oldu fishan was the mature pick it was the pick that would have made uh instead of Brock Bowers he's also thickly built but can move his feet out of Penn State has played left tackle he's going to be their long-term answer at that position I think that he's going to be good in both a run and pass game as a rookie he can easily play guard if they need him to to get their best five out there and if something happens uh with the MetLife uh Turf then he can go straight over to left tackle I think this was the best move for the future and for the just the season with Aaron Rogers coming off uh his own injury and then for the second uh pick Malachi Corley in the the beginning of the third round to me this was just not where I valued him and I think that you kind of agreed he was somebody that was manufactured touches uh he can truck Louisiana Tech players I'm not sure if that's going to transition uh to the NFL uh he's not nearly as big or as fast as Debo Samuel who's comp to and to me like between Bree Hall and Garrett Wilson and stuff I feel like they already have kind of like that manufactured touch of profile on the roster um that I kind of probably went for another type of wide receiver but some people thought he was going to go round two and at least they got him in third let's add that you and I are probably the lowest on Malachi Corley compared to anyone else I just viewed him as strictly a manufacturer touch player right now his a do would say the same thing he had what 102 screens over the last two years combined that's absurd um so like legit running downfield routes is something that he will have to prove to me and you MH um I thought he really struggled with contact with that said there is no one on this team in the wide receiver capacity that fit that I guess um I almost assuredly believe that they are hoping M Mike Williams stays healthy for the entire season he and Garrett Wilson would be a nice combo I saw some people mentioning Malachi Corley and Randle Cobb as comparisons I don't see that Randle Cobb obviously was quarterback sometimes second round pick in the NFL did really really good stuff for a long time with Aaron Rogers um I think it's worth a B minus just by getting an insurance policy at either one of these tackle spots because you have to keep Aaron Rogers upright for this season to be a success and they did everything within their power with somewhat limited resources to do that with Tyron Smith John Simpson Morgan Moses and Ola F they did their best yep I completely agree with that and then the third or the third pick brillan Allen he went late which didn't surprise us a big back but kind of runs like he super 210 pounds but yeah I'm not sure kind of the plan there um he's better than Izzy aananda I will I will say that uh so maybe he can kind of play as a Bree Hall replacement but uh this is not gonna scare me off of Bree Hall in fact I think Bree Hall should be a top three pick in fantasy especially with ol fana there yeah I I don't want people in the comments who are writing it out now being like Bree Hall replacement he just meant to get like spells and breathers like he and Izzy aananda uh size wi like J you know what's weird though Izzy is super explosive and actually was Heavy yeah uh is for that type of straight line explosiveness I thought he was bad on contact too yeah um brillan Allen was Nimble for his size and maybe he can grow into his Mass to become more of a powerful runner on top of that yeah neither were my like favorite running backs to be honest Broncos and at Pick 12 took quarterback B knck round three Jonah Ellis The Edge rusher out of Utah round four Bon's teammate wide receiver Troy Franklin out of Oregan round five two picks one included running back aldri EST out of Notre Dame and Missouri Corner Chris Abrams drain what grade did you give the Denver Broncos before I show it I just wanted to say that nobody thinks that bonck is good except for me and Mike rener and I'm I think he's good yeah no you're you're mostly with me but I got when I got the when I turned my consensus uh Big Board in uh Arie Assan said that I had the second highest ranking of bonick out ofs uh I'm I'm not sure where exactly he had him ranked but I know that he likes him a lot anyways he had 97th percentile EPA for play in college and Troy Franklin was his best receiver and he went uh in the fourth round so that kind of shows you how good was your Tweet on oh wow bck was pretty good and he had no team go in the top 100 and then literally I'm going to pull this up of I got it off in time buddy I got where spot the lie but but then but then we got into the fourth round pick 102 out of Oregon pick 108 out of Oregon pick 109 out of Oregon how does that help it was just a hilarious run after your tweet that so many of these dudes ended up being top 115 picks but not top 100 so your Tweet stance exactly I I know what I'm doing over there so what grade did you give him gave them an A minus because what else are they supposed to do B knck to me has starting level traits and production and I think that he's a fit in this offense and what else were they supposed to do like they couldn't wait on quarterback you're not gonna have sea Payton waste another year can go back to freaking being bro a broadcaster again they needed to take a chance on a quarterback this was the time to do it and bonck to me has enough skills he moves better than a lot of the guys he's compared to he had Elite production you removed the screens and the RPO stuff and he was still number one or number two in every single uh grade that we or metric that we like to look at going from college to the pros and like the surrounding Talent was like not nearly as good as Michael pennix and jayen Daniels and those guys and his production was fairly similar so I think he's going to start week one uh I had a Hu huge grade on him middle of the first round everyone thought he was a second rounder we'll see if I'm right or not he's his environment's not going to be very good the offensive line below average the weapons below average it's going to take some time the Broncos don't have a lot of money or draft Capital to use here but I think they're going to go take a distributor role from him he's gonna start week one and we'll see if I'm right or wrong but you have to try at quarterback what's frustrating is because you are so in on bonick it's always going to come across as like I like him less but I still love bonick like he was my quarterback six he went as the quarterback six I thought he when you watched him was so much better than whatever your memory is of him going back to his Auburn days he was so comfortable throwing on the Move now he was like 52nd and 56 if we're talking about like intermediate percentage of his passes or deep targets down the field too he still threw those at a high volume but just percent of his passes because they threw so much it was much lower down down the list but of course he's gonna be the starter I mean it's Zach Wilson and Jarrett sdam that we're talking about here like B Knicks is 100% the starter in week one yeah I to me it's the most important position in sports it gets paid like that you have to take a swing and of all the type of swings 97 percenti EPA per play which is the most predictive statistic from a power five guy from a high-end recruit and going back to the Auer days everyone said play with inst structure you have to play with inst structure goes to Oregon puts up ridiculous numbers in structure that's exactly what they wanted him to do so I don't know we'll see where where I'm at in a couple years with this pick but you can't just say oh man we should have drafted the edge rusher here guess what the edge rusher is probably going to be a bust anyways and they're not going to move the needle you probably just gave that team The Edge like you love the Dallas Turner pick that could have been Dallas Turner here yes and then congrats you you nailed the the 13th best Edge rusher in the NFL you're not going to win any more games were trying to actually move the needle as a franchise I'm I'm actually with you on this I'm yelling at the comments not not you now in mock drafts you did not have them taking bonick no and so it technically if we're going by your predictions they took him earlier and the NFL did because you didn't have bonick I believe in round one I wasn't expecting it no I I truly was not expect now you're okay with it yeah well I had him ranked exactly where he got drafted so it's gonna be painful when everyone has their uh the label of the 39th best player and he's put up so so you're just shocked that Shawn pton loves him as much as you do is basically what you're no I was I was shocked that they actually didn't have they didn't like trade down and make make this happen because truthly it was it's because penic flew off the board right earlier and then they couldn't were like well if if we miss out on him Spencer Rattler is going to be our guy in the fifth round the the the two teams that were uh reported as potentially trading up for Michael pinnick and maybe that was just for pinnick I believe were the Saints and the Seahawks if I'm not mistaken um okay we said that about bonick you and I did our Prospect video on Troy Franklin and it felt like we were lower than consensus on everyone on Troy Franklin I still feel like fourth round Troy Franklin is a tremendous value so he should have been drafted in the third round so again ranking him I think as a top seven or eight wide receiver was a bit out of pocket for me yeah but getting him in the fourth round to pair with the guy he already has a connection with and to be a downfield playmaker and not have to be a true number two wide receiver on NFL team immediately again a really good selection by this team even if I had concerns in comparison to everyone else we're hoping that he turned into like Rasheed Shahed something like that he's taller than Rashid shed but you have one role you got a boogie downfield and you're not going to be an every down player and the reason why he fell to me was his hands and you saw that on tape in the drop rate but you also like in The Gauntlet drill like was probably the worst receiver I think it was three of 26 tight window targets that he caught in yes 2023 so the good news is is he's there's not that much competition for that role on the Broncos Marvin Marvin Mims by the way was like the worst player against Pressman coverage uh as a rookie last year also a developmental guy also inconsistent hands well Marvin Mims to me was a vertical slot well that's that's open now because that's what Jerry Judy did so like there's a chance that Marvin Mims is like the rotational deep threat from the slot and then now you have Troy Franklin as as somebody that can win from the perimeter down the field so he's gonna get three targets per game like I don't think we shouldn't expect anything more than that that's what we talked about on our profile but yeah at this point like he this was a good value like his production was too good he's too young he's too fast for them to not uh R roll the dice but also did not surprise me that he fell like maybe not this far but like he was the guy to kind of fall of the consensus top 10 wide receivers right I I think people might have thought he would go ahead of Ricky Piera for example and I had Ricky Piera rank R right all these guys their wide receiver from courin Sutton Josh Reynolds Marvin Mims Tim Patrick Troy Franklin that's enough to win some games no it's the AFC West and it can be difficult but that's enough to win some games yeah they also they also try I think a six round pick for in 2026 for Jonathan Franklin Myers who's a interesting rotational piece along the defensive line too yeah we'll see Raiders the Las Vegas Raiders also shocked the world with pick number 13 selecting tight end Brock Bowers out of Georgia then running it back with Antonio Pierce and his aggressive mentality in round two with Center Jackson Powers Johnson at out of Oregon delmare glaze some incredible names in this Maryland offensive tackle in the third round Dameron Richardson Mississippi State Corner in the fourth round and Tommy ikenberg a linebacker out of Ohio State and like Daniel Jeremiah Todd McShay's one of their favorites Dylan LA new hampire running back pass catcher um what grade did you give I gave them a rock solid B I thought Brock Bowers made some sense in terms of just like best player available um it is a awkward fit totally understand the the negative uh with that because Michael Mayer to me is like not this Mr inline Grant guy like to me Michael Mayer was a worst version of Brock Bowers get him out the flats he can be a slot wide receiver catch the ball like I thought there's more Pat FR moth to his game uh which is exactly what Brock Bowers is at this point so it's gonna be interesting to see how they're gonna get both of them on the field now Tom Tesco didn't draft Michael Mayer might not even know who he is and they're probably just going to throw Brock Bowers a ton of Targets in the flats so uh the Raiders were not a tight end away from competing um I think that Brock Bowers is going to be a good high floor pick we'll see how much upside he actually brings to the Raiders offense because he can still be like the fifth best player at the position and not move the needle all that much there but there really wasn't another place to go there and I had more concerns about the offensive line but at least in the second and the third round they they kind of tried at those positions that I think there's an argument to make that 13 was the Cliff of just like truly Elite talents you know we saw all the wide receivers go before that and we saw Joe Al and JC leam go yep you know so if Brock Bowers was the highest graded player on their board at that point it just made total sense you know when the first it might have been the first draft that I started doing this press conference watch party and Tom Tesco was the general manager of the Los Angeles Chargers and no one had predicted they were going to take Joey Bosa and he said at that time I took Joey Bosa because every day I walked into our draft room to go do work Joey Bosa was the number one player on our board for 365 days heading into the season or heading into that that year right it was probably the same thing with Brock Bowers and in a lot of Bo I do have some quotes for you Tom Tesco quote I love Michael Mayer when you get to add another tight end a hybrid receiver a hybrid receiver we need more Playmakers on that side of the ball he's an athletic move receiving tight end but he can get in and block a little bit too so if people believe like the baby grank label that Michael Mayer was this true inline tight end I would advise you to go back and watch just highlights if you want to at Notre Dame even watch highlights during his Hit or Miss rookie season with the Raiders that sometimes he was used and sometimes he wasn't and I think it was smart that you said that Tom Tesco didn't draft him even though he says he does really like him the other layer on this is both of these guys played in Collegiate tight end rooms where multiple tight ends were used so however both were like the primary pass position they wer they weren't Darnell Washington that was that's the issue it's like how are these if they're both on the field and this is the two tight end look to where they're gonna run the ball I think they're gonna struggle like these two guys are I would say at best average run B but with that said that definitely hurts Michael Mayer I don't think that hurts Brock Bowers like yeah that's a mayor problem for sure it's a mayor problem it's not a Bowers problem and when he says hybrid receiver we could easily see Brock Bowers just be a slot wide receiver I think for this team in three wide receiver sets now it's exactly what we brought up when talking about his profile on that video where to me he was always goingon to have to be or he might be at his best on a two tight end team because I wouldn't want him just to be the solo loone tight end and so you get this Dalton concade effect of how are teams going to match up with you defensively are you going to get nickel are you going to get dime are you going to get base whatever in this quote unquote 11 and a half Personnel you know so and then when you do get light boxes can you run on them we know that Antonio Pierce wants to run on them no one predicted this fit for Brock Bowers but if Garner mchu is the quarterback too then you are going to get just a ton of passes in the flats like he did at Georgia and it's going to be a bunch of that same production it they're just not going to throw as often as these other clubs right I think this is like a pretty middling spot for his fantasy purposes at least this this first year Devonte Adams has one more year before his guaranteed money runs out so I think like next year we might like buy the dip on Brock Bowers um I thought there were some better Landing spots for him at least for this first season um Jackson Powers Johnson was a center Prospect he's gonna play guard for this team just based off of the depth at those positions there he went a little bit later actually a second round pick um and he was very physical in the ground game then actually was able to get to the second level whenever Oregon was running all those screens um so I thought that was like a good value pick for them and I think eventually he'll play center um delmare glaze I couldn't tell you anything about him the rest of the picks same thing uh with that but I think this is kind of a make or break pick with with Brock Bowers it was just like a a weird fit like there are some other teams where i' be like Perfect Fit let's go we're Rock GNA rolling this one's a little bit wonkier just because they want to run first identity and now the two tight ends they have like don't exactly match that yeah we we'll talk about more Bowers specifically in both the tight end rankings video and the dynasty rankings thing but least they get a starter along the offensive line too because I know myself and many others projected them for an offensive lineman instead in round one Colts at pick 15 the Indianapolis Colts select latu latu the edge rusher out of UCLA second round pick 20 Adonai Mitchell Texas wide receiver third round pick Matt gonal Pittsburgh offensive tackle fourth round athletic Wisconsin Center Tanner balone sure fifth rounders Anthony gold wide receiver Jaylen Carly Missouri safety another safety out of Auburn Jaylen Simpson Hayden what grade did you give the Indianapolis Colts I gave them an A minus here usually you're not going to get the number one defensive prospect at 15th overall but welcome to the modern NFL I think this will be a trend where offense is the priority defense is secondary I think there's just like a lack of high-end Talent at defense but latu 23% pressure rate that's by far number one in this class of course the Colts have some medical issues with him but they obviously cleared him and I thought that just based off of last year he was the best defensive prospect in my rankings uh last year though the Colts were already fifth in ESPN's pass rush win rate so latu could like potentially like send this all the way up a tier where this Colts defense which has always been like kind of average like there's a chance that this Colts defense uh could maybe be a little bit above average uh with this selection and we knew that based off of the pre-draft reports that the Colts were trying to get up for one of the skill guys they all went too early um they couldn't move up there but they bought the dip on ad and I Mitchell I think that was like one of the biggest story lines falling out from the first round I think all of us agree that he has first round ability hasn't kind of clicked at two different stops in college he slid in the draft um and we'll see it's a despite falling this was a very good landing spot for him because the role is so damn obvious all he has to do is be better than Alec Pierce easy that's it he just has to be better than Alec Pierce to get on a field yep to be the downfield jump ball playmaker vertical pass catcher which was his best stuff other than Red Zone usage which might be a massive help here too in one-on-one situations like I know Alec Pierce was also taking the second round back in 2022 and he has his fans out there I think Alec Pierce is just like such a replaceable player so far in the league like just doesn't do anything other than run in a straight line and sometimes make contested catches yeah at I Mitchell even you who had your questions like should if if everything stays on straight should do that be this team's in two wide receiver sets on the outside and three wide receiver sets on the outside yep I think it's going to take some time to develop but the perfect place to let that happen because Michael pitman's gonna be the target hog I don't think that this like changes Michael pitman's role too much I think there's like a many outcomes where Adonai Mitchell was going to be kind of a medium Target guy and just win downfield only uh because I didn't see like that much like Slants and that type of stuff kind of Hit and Miss in that Park but this is a a staff that has his back like we saw Chris Ballard uh in the press conferences attack the media about people attacking Adonai Mitchell's character they're buying the dip this guy it it was mainly it was mainly the anonymous quot that the scouts would put out there uh without their name attached to it that that's what he was getting upset about right I mean they were true but like the we'll see if the Colts can configure this out I think that it's a perfect landing spot in terms of what Anthony Richardson needs like dude we're trying to maximize Anthony Richardson throwing some dots down the field this is exactly what they what Michael Pitman and Josh DS don't really bring to the table I put a together like a minute long compilation it could have gone much longer than this of I know all wide receivers have this but an i Mitchell had about 250 yards that was left on the field because Quinny ERS was his quarterback right you know just offt Target either in front of him out of bounds whatever guess who's not gonna underthrow him on NFL field yeah he's never underthrown a single person in his life he's going from Quinn to Anthony Richardson launching bombs yeah down the field I mean this is this is fantastic fantastic landing spot it could not have gotten better um from like a role playing standpoint now yeah we'll talk about when it comes to Fantasy and dynasty of how much volume is that actually going to get and so on and so forth but like what Shane syon was able to do from shifting his offense from Anthony Richardson to Gardner menu last year and it's still working uh speaks to how good of a coach he is and like you said being the first team to draft a defensive player and getting that at 15 overall I don't even think latu has the same athletic Prof file that Chris Ballard has gone for in the past I mean you can go from Ben bagu to quiddy pay to a bunch of these other guys Deo dingbo who was injured but athletic like I don't think lat's name of his game is athleticism per se it is technical hand use ability leverage all that stuff counter moves and so again this is a little bit maybe a look in the mirror situation and say hey I've kind of whiffed on some of these or they're not as good as I thought they were I'm gonna go with the technician yeah and he's still like an above average but not like a rockar athlete but we also don't have like the he only drafts Rockstar athletes though right but we don't have like the the hand times like this guy he might move his hands faster than anybody in the class and maybe that's this the key ingredient love that also Chris Ballard and his preference of athletic traits he wasn't going to leave without having one of the six offensive lineman on the list Tanner Berto lini uh this team is loaded on the interior with Quinton Nelson Ryan Kelly maybe this guy can make a challenge for that starting Right Guard spot we'll see well what you need is him to be inactive so he doesn't count for your games not started and then it goes into the starting lineup Bengals Cincinnati Bengals pick 18 get their right tackle amarius Mims out of Georgia pick 17 the second round defensive tackle Chris Jenkins after DJ reer departed they had another defense tackle in round three in Jackson McKinley who's even more mass more size and then maybe one of the most intriguing two really picks of this entire draft major third round draft capital for Alabama wide receiver Germaine Burton and pretty significant fourth round draft capital for Iowa tight end Eric all do you still want the Javon Baker Germaine Burton yeah I do what was what was our grade uh I gave the Bengals an A minus because I'm a German Burton guy so we'll see what happens there but amarius Mims was one of my favorite draft picks Trent Brown's only $2 million guaranteed for this year amarius Mims I think will just beat him out straight up I know that he hasn't played much football but when he was on the field for as inexperienced as he was he was impossible to get around the reason why is because not many people have his size and his athletic ability so I think like he has the potential to be one of the best offensive tackles in the league he'll start at right tackle and it's perfect timing for Joe burrow who just like needs to stay on his feet I think that amarius Mims is like the best offensive lineman that Joe bur has ever had so love that for them um he would I would have taken him even higher than this uh I don't think that he's even that boom busty aside maybe from the foot injury that he's kind of been dealing with because like whenever he's on the field he is like it's just physics like you can't get around him you can't ball Rush him I'm like what would you even do to this guy tell the people why you're so hyped for J Burton and why you didn't want to make any Wagers pre-draft well I mean there's there's some issues that are and only wanted only wanted to update this conversation once we had draft Capital attached to Jermaine Burton I said let me get any draft capital I thought there's I thought there was a legit chance that he was going to go undrafted like based off of like what I was hearing but they're taking the the chance on him they they say they have um the the locker room in place he's apparently hanging out with T.J hman Zada uh as well um and to me when Germaine Burton just like based like off of his onfield not production because the quarterback was not very good throwing the ball down field but his tape I thought he would be my I'll say my wide receiver six in this class right behind behind lad makoni this guy has great hands great ball tracking ability great speed and then he can also shed some tackles over the middle and while he was only a one-trick pony in college I think there's a chance that he might be a more well-rounded receiver and actually win over the middle so he's going to play in three wide receiver sets on the outside because they're willing to move Jamar Chase into the slot so I think he's going to be a day one starter and then when T Higgins leaves after this next year because the Bengals don't give guaranteed money um into the future and that's what T Higgins wants I think Germaine Burton could be the number two if things work out so we'll see what he does maturity wise but it's the perfect landing spot for him to take it seriously um and whenever he's been on the field he's been very good and I think there's a little bit something more to his game Beyond just being a vertical guy like there to me there's a chance like this guy can be like the full package they also added Eric all in the fourth round who's had two season ending injuries over the last two years like has had small moments in Iowa's offense which is like the worst in college football um but when he has had his opportunities he's done like really cool stuff with them I mean it's a bit at this point of let's get a little hyped for a Cincinnati Bengals tight end I mean they took s second round in 2019 they added Mike giki this off seon you know so at this point and sure in the past that's been because Chase Higgins and Tyler Boyd but just a name to file away I think with uh with Eric all it's all right the Bengals are again I asked Jay Gruden on the Thursday night stream about um getting trade requests he didn't answer my question at all because he said he never got them uh they never landed on his desk it was a great answer it was a great answer he found out that they traded for Alex Smith via Twitter um but they're not going to you know agree to these trade requests at all they're they are all in for this season and I think these moves line up with that for sure yep yeah love it great draft we'll talk a lot about these players and namely like Zach Moss versus Chase Brown again in our running back rankings video when we get to that later on this week Jay guden loves Zach Moss brought him up like five times on that stream yeah it was it was you your your rashy rice comparisons to Jay Gro and his Zach Moss mentions on our stream on Thursday night by the way if you made it this far hit that subscribe button thumbs up as well okay Pittsburgh Steelers Steelers all right Pittsburgh Hayden Winks saw through you kind of but knew you're gonna pick Troy fanu at number 20 overall in the first round uh thinking that that was your Center Spot no no no because in round two you take Frasier the center out of West Virginia round three Roman Wilson the wide receiver out of Michigan also round three pton Wilson NC State linebacker that they trade back into round three four and then a short shuttle guy round four guard South Dakota State Mason McCormick Hayden what grade did you give the Pittsburgh Steelers with three offensive lineman in the first four rounds I gave them an A minus in fact versus my for Arthur Smith right and versus my rankings they added the most like Surplus value based off where they drafted them they got value picks all across the board and like you can see the plan that they had in place they've completely flipped their offensive line over the last two years uh they've drafted Rodrick Jones last year Isaac sealo was a free agent at guard now they found left tackle Troy Futo their new center is Zach Fraser so that's new four new offensive lineman for them the potential issue I can have is with Troy futu there's just some like he's just got a weird playing style for left tackle like typically like you don't want a lot of movement from your left tackle and stuff and he's kind of all over the place now he's super long and he's super athletic so maybe he's gonna make it work but he's an interesting guy uh luckily he's short so Russell Wilson will be able to see uh over the top of him which is which is pretty nice um so we'll see I thought he was going to be a guard maybe a center I know some teams viewed him as a center they're going to see if he can play left tackle and if he can't we'll guess what he'll slide into guard eventually so he's a good player um thought the value was totally fine and then I thought Zack Frasier was like so Pittsburgh football it's like yeah the perfect fit and West Virginia is so close to Pittsburgh too I mean it's almost like this team hired Arthur Smith as our offensive coordinator you know like in Atlanta how much investment that offensive line had with Arthur Smith and even resigning a bunch of dudes yep uh and then again Banu who's a bully Zack Frasier and then even Mason McCormack and I did this on the NFC version of this so I also need to bring it up on the AFC sorry for repeating myself everyone but since 2010 just 28 offensive linemen recorded a 447 short shuttle or better at the NFL combine 24 were drafted those 24 went on to start 84% of their NFL games it's a cheat code for offensive line evaluations this year there were six of those uh and the Pittsburgh Steelers took one of them in the fourth round uh I want to bring up Roman Wilson for a second please because speaking of Arthur Smith I don't think that he had a Roman wils type player in Atlanta I do think that Russell Wilson has played though with Roman Wilson esque routes we looked at Roman Wilson at Michigan and it was a lot of east and west crossers from the slot deep crossers in fact yep Russ off deep play action would throw those all the time in Seattle to Doug Baldwin to Tyler Lockett so on and so forth so so I did not think that Roman Wilson ran the hop skip and a jump type slot routs that we were accustomed to it was again a lot of these Crossing routes over the middle of the field but if Russell Wilson who is by the way in the lead for the quarterback job at this moment is that is the starter and they don't really have a slot receiver at this moment uh I can see the fit yeah I think play action long deep deep post routes deep Crossing routes I think that he can do that uh he's not like as nasty as tire lock it is and those guys physically and ball tracking wise in hands and whatnot but uh I see the vision on here in fact I think that he can be a two wide receiver set starter in this offense he's I mean that's what he did at Michigan we'll see what they do I mean who's he competing with right now it's like yeah maybe they bring in Tyler boy yeah I think that I would rather have Roman Wilson than van Jefferson on the field so he's like not your typical two wide receiv receiver set starter but in this play action offense and stuff and uh he's not going to face that much press man coverage and that that particular offense I think that he can do that so it was a good landing spot he went later in the draft though than some people thought you and I both had like third round grades on Roman Wilson he went like deep into the third round um so this to me is like more appropriate for him I thought it was a good landing spot for him and then the other Wilson pton Wilson linebacker we learned that he does not have an ACL and then he tore his other one so there's medical concerns but the dude made a million tackles they can use them on blitzes play some coverage um so we'll see what they can do with pton Willis but he was supposed to go earlier than where the Steelers got him so just like value value value short shuttle over there as well so I think this was like a a really solid draft for for Pittsburgh yeah let's not forget they spend up boatload of money on Patrick Queen to be one of their starters at linebacker um I mean just looking at their depth chart this is one of the most reworked offenses in the entire league from the person calling the plays to two new quarterbacks to potentially two to three new starters along the offensive line and two new starting wide receivers as well yeah by the way this Center 30 bench press reps and then he was uh like a 4.5 GPA guy and then in high school he was a wrestler 159 and two I think Daniel Jeremiah mentioned that the average length of his wrestling matches in high school was 53 seconds or something which is just absurd sounds like a problem he was a heavyweight and that is that is an absurd number if you don't know those are six- minute matches they have in wrestling so if you're walking around Pittsburgh if you see somebody built like a house stay away yeah hip Dro hip tossing people that get out of there dolphins Miami Dolphins first round pick 21st overall chop Robinson The Edge rusher out of Penn State second round pick 23 Patrick Paul the developmental tackle out of Houston and then Mike McDaniel can't help himself in the fourth round pick 20 Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright and they add other people like Mo cra The Edge rusher out of Colorado State and even Malik Washington the wide receiver out of Virginia what grade did you give the Miami Dolphins this is just an opinion take but I don't I'm not a big chop Robinson guy so I gave him a C+ um but I actually like their last picks like the Malik Washington I thought was a good pick Mo Kamara good pick Jaylen Wright will get to him obviously perfect brand play but chop Robinson for those that are unfamiliar is Mr like burst Bend absolutely lit it up at the NFL combine but he had four sacks last last year his pressure ra is at 14% which we're talking about the other guys 19% 23% and he had 15 tackles because they would take him off the field in some obvious rushing situations so he's pretty one-dimensional and you have to project for him so like not typically somebody I want to take with the 21st overall pick that said it is a good landing spot because they have Jaylen Phillips they have Bradley chub he can be the third guy in a rotation only out there to rush the passer but pretty rich for like that type of role and that type of projection these guys bust all the time cuz I think that he has what is it he has 30th percentile weight in a fifth percentile wingspan Jake Ruden said that defensive line if you don't have long arms get out of town he's I think scarred from cbon Chason which is pretty similar to chop Robinson so that was my concern with the first round draft pick the other ones all made sense to me Patrick Paul lots of starts at left tackle when toron Armstead misses time and retires he can go be the long-term starter there and then and the funny part about that is OA masterminds I'm sure all of you know about that now Toronto Armstead is like a main state with that and actually is basically almost an instructor at those camps and so Patrick Paul has the opposite of chop Robinson the longest arms you will ever see and almost like pterodactyl uh defensive lineman but right again sit there be the swing tackle at first it was interesting we thought with their first two picks they'd go in both of these directions because they had need on both sides and it's just amazing how sometimes ha best player available also feels a need on the roster like 90% of the time it is weird when it it does happen like that by the way 36 inch arms like you said with Patrick Paul still hit 30 bench press reps that's that's insane okay let's talk about the running back let's talk about Jaylen Wright in round four so when you and I do these Prospect profiles which we did 35 of them this year we are kind of looking at these prospects of areas where they succeed where they win and maybe some Quest or areas of weakness and we again look at it through the lens of 32 NFL teams it is always funny to me when he goes to the one team where the negatives questions weaknesses literally do not matter yeah and with Jaylen Wright who saw fourman boxes at times never took runs against eight-man boxes never ran on outside runs which is goingon to really change in this offense but was all speed and against one-on-one DBS was able to break a boatload of tackles he goes to the system that is gonna get him one-on ones a bunch of alleys to utilize that speed yeah just learn under Raheem Mo for the next year Mo's 32 years old does not have guaranteed money in 2025 they gave him a pay bump this year after you know scoring 20 touchdowns but uh he's not long john rins for a 30 plus year old running back yeah and also like 200 pounds at that too yeah this is like why we don't completely cross out prospects pre-draft we're just waiting for the fit especially at this position and this like you said this is the perfect spot we don't know if his vision is good or bad because he never had to make a decision in the back field based off the volunteers offense and in this it's just throw to the outside and let's see if you can break one off and for the most part this offensive line scheme is is beautiful now we'll see after an full offseason every single defensive coordinators probably spent a week studying this offense we'll see if they they're able to repeat that but this is like Mr Raheem moer I think probably going to start as the number three running back and then probably going to be more relevant in 2025 yeah we'll have a Devon Anan conversation uh in running back rankings videos we have a bunch of time to prepare for that one uh but it's an interesting backfield whenever you add even fourth round draft Capital to that Jaguars pick 23 Jaguars take wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr out of LSU second round pick Mason Smith the defense tackle out of LSU third round pick jeren Jones the Florida State cornerback Javan Foster Jordan Jefferson were both offensive tackle and defensive tackle prospects in the fourth round uh and then they have the rest anything you want to say about the grade that they have here for the Jaguars that I'm sure for you is mostly tied to their first round pick yeah I gave them an A minus first of all they were sitting at 17th overall they trade down and they basically added a third or fourth round pick by trading down and if they were sticking and picking I would guess that they would have taken Brian Thomas anyway so they basically added a free third or fourth round pick and they still got to me one of the most high upside players in the first round of Brian Thomas and he's just gonna sit there in the Calvin Ridley role and just try to win all down the field next to the sideline the frustrating Calvin Ridley role but I think that they actually share some of the same qualities in exactly what the Jaguars offense is looking for and it makes more sense you zoom out they lose Calvin Ridley they're not going to pay him a bunch of money they only had to give up a third round pick now they draft this player who's gon to be the same exact role and I think longterm could probably develop into a true number one wide receiver uh By the time Christian Kirk is out of the contract Evan Ingram's out of the contract so gonna be boom bust this year expect a lot of passes down the field probably some frustrating drops and balls right out of bounds like what we're used to in Jacksonville but to me the process of this made perfect sense and then I was obviously just really bullish on what Brian Thomas can turn into long term yeah I felt and even after talking with Trevor Lawrence during a day at the Super Bowl he was going to be upset if they lost Calin Ridley and so when they did it was pretty obvious that this team was going to add something to help them out because they weren't just going to replace Calley with Gabe Davis and oh this roster is going to be better in 2024 because Gabe was supposed to make things easier for Calvin Ridley but I think now Gabriel Davis makes things easier for Brian Thomas you know like Gabe can just be this downfield glued to the sideline extended play contested catch guy and I mean even Brian Thomas on this te on this team can be if they want to utilize it the speed motion fly motion get him up to a Sprint and let him Rumble I will add he needs laum surgery we believe right that was the mentions coming out and I'm sure any San Francisco 49ers fans have been watching to this point will know that Trent balky has a bit of a history during his days to the San Francisco 49ers of taking injured players and thinking that it's a value and it not totally working out like this is just anecdotal but I believe back in 2013 they took uh tank kerine and like Marcus Latimore Like thinking that these guys dropped because of Medicals and then it just turned out they couldn't stay healthy now very different injuries to what this is yeah but I also think that it's potential that the reason why he was there at 23 is because of the labor issue that is there I think we got to think long term Trevor Lawrence could be there ever and yeah this lab room thing is not going to matter long term um and he's also played through this with great success already so um speaking of Trent balky though the second round defensive tackle 35 inch arms and when you watch him it's like insane it's the first thing you notice you're like wow like the defens tackle is not supposed to have the reach that he has um out of LSU he drafted a couple other LSU guys too so it was Brian Thomas and multiple def yeah but big arms and big schools and this is a complete brand play for him I thought that Mason uh has some potential there gonna have to get groomed up uh into that role I didn't know some of the other prospects out there but to me it was just like moving down and still getting somebody that I think could be a true number one wide receiver and while he's developing he doesn't have to be that in this offense because they get the ball to Kirk and Evan Ingram so much but better and best ball potential to be like Trevor Lawrence's long-term number one I think this was like the the risk that they needed to play and I think them losing out on Calvin Ridley is a blessing in disguise yeah he doesn't have to be like a primary he he's gonna go through some growth as a player definitely needs to what 75% of his production this past season was on two routes 72% so he can run those two routes right now and be a help and then learn another one and learn another one and learn another one and uh by the time we get into halfway through 25 there we go Chiefs the Kansas City Chiefs pick 28 select wide receiver Xavier worthy out of Texas round two a name that was mentioned with them and linked to it this sometimes happens in round one uh BYU tackle Kingsley Su mataya fourth round Jared Wy tied in out of TCU also Jaden Hicks safety out of Washington State what grade did you give the Kansas City Chiefs I feel like I'm being lenient here but I just loved A lot of these picks I went with an A minus for for them just because if there's there's only so many offenses where i' fully trust where Xavier worthy would be maximized obviously Andy Reid is one of them he's not Tyreek Hill he's not nearly as good of a route Runner or physical but we can see how Tyreek Hill is utilized in Miami and we can see them do that with Xavier worthy as a rookie they've tried this with micle Harman cadarius Tony and Sky Moore Xavier Worthy is so much more talented than those type of guys way more productive than those guys were coming out as well so it didn't cost much to move up the board uh we'll see if this going to burn the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Conference games uh down the line here with the trade that they made here but I thought that Xavier worthy uh I just trust Andy Reid's gonna get the most out of them and I think that for somebody of this kind of Boom bust profile small guy downfield we've seen this bust all the time I thought he just had a little bit more body contr start stop ability Tempo in his routes to develop into something more than just the John Ross or mccole Harbin type of profile it's funny in our profile for Xavier worthy we brought up all like the 165 to 175 pound wide receivers and who made that list uh deshun Jackson made that list who coached Deshawn Jackson in Philadelphia yeah Andy Reed Deontay Lee who's a great follow on Twitter really brought this up these are Philly like additions for Andy Reid not just DAV worthy who also was a similar weight to Mars Brown coming out of Oklahoma too who now he gets to play with yeah these volume players that they have in the middle of the field like the high opportunity Target guys Travis Kelce and then after a suspension rishy rice now other than mvs this past season who did they have to you know remove the trash and the Defenders from Over the middle of the field in those high volume areas no one and now you have Hollywood Brown and Xavier worthy to do that so to me despite these frames and it not being typical out there I can easily see on more than half the snaps Xavier worthy and Mar Hollywood Brown being your outside wide receivers when you have Travis Kelce and Rashi rice over the middle of the field to now work in a less clogged area yeah that also this past season despite it being more clogged you still won the damn Super Bowl I know because Patrick Mahomes despite not not all being great during the season because it's fine margins when there's so many bodies in there yeah is still able to understand and dominate you so they got better yeah unfortunately for the league the Chiefs are much better this year than they were last year there's not they don't have to do a wide receiver triy out this year we know who they're going to be it's gonna be Rashid rice it's gonna be Maris Brown It's Gonna Be Xavier worthy get out of here with the rest of these guys it's going to be Sensational the league is so much more fun when Patrick Mahomes is like the MVP candidate not like the guy that's trying not to lose his mind rightfully so um and then I thought the other picks were Rock Sol too King Su MAA he's a developmental guy to me five star traits he's cousins with pen Su he's not as thick as pen Su he's got to grow into his body and he's super inexperienced they're probably gonna have to force him out there in day one which scares me because he was so raw and he had like the highest blown block rate of all the tackles that we kind of talked about on the show um so that that makes me a little bit nervous but Patrick Mahomes is so good under pressure and they'll obviously know how to navigate that and a couple years from now he could be um a premier offensive tackle um and then Jared Wy super athletic tight end I don't think we need to discuss him overly too much but point you know they are looking for the and no one's a Travis kelsky replacement but we've talked about like once he moves on how does this team navigate their offense I think it's easier now with you know Xavier worthy Maris Brown's on a one-year deal so let's not go crazy with that in the future but like Xavier worthy involved here so like yeah I mean it makes sense taking a shot at tight end now and maybe every single year until you find one that you believe can be your every down tight in once Travis moves on yep and then fourth round safety I don't want to bore people with this but Jaden Hicks was a box safety there's not many box safeties in the NFL just because how teams are playing with three wide receivers on the field but this dude made 24 run stops which is top 10 among safeties that is a ton and it just goes to show you that Steve spagnolo values players that can tackle into secondary and you see that all the time if you watch the Super Bowl and they lead up to it that was like the big thing and then Jaden Hicks can do that so not every single team's gonna have a plan for somebody like Jaden Hicks and that's why he was like supposed to go round three slides way way way deep into 133rd overall because he's not going to be a scheme fit for everybody but Steve spagnolo he just has like a good feel and he puts these guys into position and Jaden Hicks has one thing that he can do well he can rally to the ball and Tackle and I thought the Chiefs last year were the best defensive team in terms of secondary tackling closing word uh said it in the profile but Xavier worthy to me is more than just speed like he he does legit wide receiver stuff he tries to play bigger than he actually is he has a little bit of a dog in him too yeah um it's so obvious that everyone's gonna get excited when he lands in this offense but I'm also just excited for the individual Talent yeah basetball rank is gonna be tough Rashid rice Hollywood Brown Xavier Worthy all going to go right next to each other this is why later this week you should come back and check out our wide receiver rankings video for your best ball drafts which by the way best ball you can find on Underdog fantasy launching very very shortly $17 million in prizes this summer or $15 million best ball is 15 we're starting there's two other $1 million uh $17 million in total and a ton more is coming that's just that's just to get that's an appetizer right so if if you have never played best ball I know you have played fantasy football before uh what if you it's just the best part of fantasy football it's just Drafting and then you get to draft again and again and again and you never have to touch your teams that's it play it for the first time click the link in the description down below and we'll match some of your deposit Ravens the Baltimore Ravens pick 30 selected Nate Wiggins the corner out of Clemson then round two end of it Roger rosengarten The Tackle out of Washington you're guy round three Adisa isach Penn State Line ER TZ Walker vertical wide receiver out of UNCC in the fourth round to go along with a corner another one TJ Tampa out of Iowa State and then a few day three players Hayden what grade did you give the Baltimore Ravens so classic they just scooping up value and gave him an A and the first a the first hard a regular a not an a A plus like the Chargers a solid a not Everyone likes Nate Wiggins I understand it he's super skinny like alarmingly skinny but if there was a team that he's perfect for to me the Ravens would be one of them unlike most of the corners sit in zone coverage he played man coverage on 60% of his snaps and he had some dog in him and he like really could stay with wide receivers in this division you're dealing with Jamar Chase you're dealing with George Pickins you better cover some some some ground out there and he can absolutely run it like nobody else so the rest of the secondary Kyle Hamilton their linebackers all those guys you guys make the tackles you goes fit the run if you guys need somebody to cover a number one wide receiver on the perimeter and you're worried about getting beat down the field then you put Nate Wiggins on there so I think that he has like legit cornerback one potential there and I thought they got him 30th overall I had him ranked 19th overall would not be a fit for everybody but in this scheme I thought Nate Wiggins made a ton of sense this team lost three starters on the offensive line John Simpson Kevin zitler Morgan Moses they trade it away I think Roger Rosen Garten comes in and starts at right tackle immediately uh he's also has left tackle experience I don't know if you heard this but when Michael pinnick came to Washington they moved Roger rosengarten to the right side to protect his Blind Side wow interesting that's why he's a different build than so many other of these right tackles a bit leaner a bit more athletic and all that type of stuff and so I think he can play either side I I thought there was a chance he would go in the first round obviously that was off he went deep in the second round but like of course the bottimore Ravens take him they needed to start it right attack when he could be it he looks like a volleyball player out there he's like so stretched out but he gets on the move he gets to the second level going to love that exactly and that's the same thing with the Nate Wiggins thing he's not a scheme fit for everybody but in this offense if you want to get some guys on the Move awesome and Derrik Henry I think everyone thinks he runs right up the middle it's stretch runs it's outside Zone he turns the corner that's where all the big plays happen and Roger rosearden can get out there and really set the corner uh with the stretch run so I think it was a perfect scheme fit and this is why I think the Ravens because they're just scooping up value with players that aren't fit for everybody they end up getting guys I probably should have get drafted a couple picks before where Baltimore selects them so you're not telling the Ravens to scroll down you're just saying pick the top ADP pick the best place pick the best place bills okay three teams left and we're already into the second round with the first pick of the second round Keon Coleman Florida State wide receiver then Cole Bishop later in the second round Utah safety Dwayne Carter from duke a defensive tackle two running back selections excuse me just one running back selection for this team in the fourth round Ray Davis out of Kentucky uh and then they took you know some fifth and sixth rounders too uh what grade did you give the Buffalo Bills we're at the point where I've have not finished my write-ups on these things will placeholder give them a B minus Keon Coleman was somebody that I was surprised went this early I thought it was going to be more of a second like a mid second round pick but I'm just kind of confused on where we're going to put Keon Coleman because I think like that's do you have do you have an answer with that or yeah so brenon Bean got up there this is what he said can he just learn the x or can he learn multiple spots we will have to see so if I'm reading between those lines he's going to play him on the outside as an X and as a downfield player he talked a lot about I disagreed with some of Brandon Bean's evaluations um in this I think what he has done has been quite good in the n NL but here's were some of his quotes for a big guy he drops his weight most big guys are stiff he drops his weight at the top of his routes that's where I disagree you can see him make Above the Rim plays has great feel for extended plays we have on with Josh which is very true that's where Gabriel Davis was at his best he has really good release among the bigger guys he had a good release I agree with that part I think Keon Coan carries his weight and his athleticism yeah better early in routes than he does later in at the at the top of his routes yep yeah I think I think he can bend and sink his hips and he's got good releases he just doesn't have the long speed to kind of hold on to that if he was an outside receiver which is sounds like what's going to be the plan here and that makes sense when you have Curtis Samuel and KH Shakur as your like slot wide receivers and those guys aren't playing on the outside the that was where I drew the comparison to Gabe Davis ironically if he's gonna be the outside guy I thought he had more potential if he's going to go kick in the slot maybe the long-term vision is for him to get out there but they are going to be kind of throwing him to the wolves with this one and that makes me a little bit nervous for how Keon Coleman plays um the quarterback play at Michigan State in Florida state was subpar of me now he has Josh Allen and there probably is a little bit of the Gabe Davis Factor where I think Keon Coleman will be able to make plays uh out of structure when just goes sideways and when you have KH Shakur and Curtis Samuel you almost have to draft a wide receiver with size you know you throw it up to him yeah I think you are I think they're parameters of what they were looking for at wide receiver was different than other teams again we talked about Xavier Legette and Xavier worthy which were almost back-to-back picks I believe in round one were 56 pound difference yep so not a wide receiver is not a wide receiver is not a wide receiver right so I I think based on his terms that he was using they wanted to draft a bigger wide receiver and they just weren't as many of those yeah and they didn't they were not willing to take out of night Mitchell maybe because they were worried about some of the same problems that they had with Steph dicks okay I thought it was very weird that they moved down one pick here's why if you move down one pick technically it might have been to listen to trade offers for that 33rd overall selection but they never moved off of it so why move down one pick to basically just move up like 30 spots in the six round to the fifth round or whatever it was when now they lose out on the fifth year option for Keon Coleman why not just take him at pick 32 and instead they just took him at pick 33 there is a big difference between first round pick and second it's like $2 million in the amount of money it costs and they they knew that nobody was gonna take Keon Coleman there well because it was just them but but now they were probably hoping like you said they're hoping to trade down again and just couldn't couldn't pull it off they were in a tough spot I talked about this in the mock mock draft show or whatever show it was they they were looking for one type and once Brian Thomas left it was 80 Mitchell or Keon Coleman and and obviously the grades on those two guys were completely different or you roll the dice and we're drafting Javon Baker in the fourth round yeah but would that make Bills fans comfortable I'm not sure they were just in a tough spot so Bean said they weren't even close to a trade to making a trade so I guess my question is why sacrific the ability to have the fifth year option it might be the $2 million that you're talking about but they didn't get anything really yeah you know to move one spot so they just sacrificed the fifth year option to do anyways that's just those little right tra thought process train of ideas that like didn't really make sense to me yeah and the Xavier worthy trade like they did not pick up a whole bunch just moving down a couple spots they were just pigeon hold there um it is an interesting conversation though for Keon Coleman and how to Value this because I don't think this is the best role for him like where he wins on the field leaves me with question marks but he is the number one wide receiver for Josh Allen like that is a good thing so I don't want to play this game where I'm like I don't think he can separate I have to be out on Keon Coleman we'll see what the the price tag is in fantasy because he is like he can do Gabe Davis things like I'm I'm pretty sure you can at least do that Browns the Cleveland Browns did not pick until the 22nd selection of the second round they took intier defensive llyan Michael Hall out of Ohio State 63 290 that is so much their type so much their type then we continue on to the third round Zack zenter the guard out of Michigan jari thrash in the fifth round uh and because of the Watson Judy who whatever other trades they've made Elijah Moore they had basically no other draft picks of no so uh what grade did you give to Cleveland Browns here I only graded on what they had and I thought that the Michael Hall selection was fantastic I haven't written him up but let's give him an a I thought Michael Hall was one of one I mean obviously they're not adding that much to their team but of the picks that they made Michael Hall was a good ass pick let me tell you why if you guys watch watch three staps snaps of this guy at Ohio State this guy is up the field and through the a gap before you even know it this guy is lightning quick uh his pressure rate was fantastic 133% from an interior player he's super young coming from Ohio State like this is the type of guy that you want at a premier position a huge position of need everyone knew the Browns were going to go defensive tackle and then this is the guy that they went with and this was after the the Ruka roro trade and the deantre sweat this guy's better than all those dudes that I just mentioned there so I was super excited about this one then Zach zenter the guy had a thousand people chanting his name once he broke his leg last year there's power that he takes within that and he will be a multi-year starter um long-term at guard I mean I have no thoughts on this team like I hope desan Watson plays well this year for them that's that's it the rest of the roster is so good though you you you know what did stand out to me and I had heard that they were very interested in running backs and really specifically Marshon Lloyd they did not take him obviously in round two or round three or any of that stuff is this a sign of confidence for Nick chub you know they didn't take a single running back they have Deontay Foreman who they brought in and nahe Hines to go along with Jerome Ford you know so these are just things I'm reading into not who they drafted but who they didn't draft I think that's like a four top four running backs to kind of compliment each other like they're all veteran types not like super intriguing but yeah I don't think that anyone should have any opinion a strong opinion on Nick chub coming off this injury like there's like no precedent for this Texans we'll close out with the Houston Texans a team that did not draft until the uh 10th selection of the second round took Georgia Corner Kamari Lasser then 27th pick in the second round tackle Blake fiser out of Notre Dame kayin Bullock the safety out of USC in the third round Kade Stover who I think I mentioned to you Hayden they were linked with Ohio tight end in the fourth round and after that you know we get sixth and seventh rounders what grade did you give the Houston Texans if you've even landed on one yet uh I'm starting out with the C+ I still got to write them up uh for sure Kamari Lasser is like does not have the side speed traits of a typical uh Corner he's probably going to play nickel for them obviously uh if Kirby Smart thinks you're good I am okay with that um but he went a little bit earlier than I was expecting there in the middle of the second round Blake fiser right tackle out of Notre Dame I thought he was more of like a work in progress guy and I had like a third round grade on him he goes late in the second round we'll see how that works out they got a lot of depth off the offensive line and they're going to try to figure out who the longterm options there my favorite pick was was Caitlin bolock no surprise USC guy but he is like oddly built for safety he looks like a corner um and he can cover ground and he's like super tall and rangy um so he's like an intriguing guy and I think it's just pretty smart to draft guys that Alex Grinch coached because uh he probably didn't put them in the best position so I think there's room for growth and then he's just like an interesting guy um there's a lot of hits like uh Jesse Bates for example was like a similar body type where kind of caught between positions ends up being a good Pro yeah obviously this team spent a second round pick on Stefon Diggs they also picked up a second round pick next year in that trade to get out of that first round uh added Joe Mixon to this offense I Loki really liked the Blake Fisher move because you remember they had to rework like their entire offensive line last year when Titus Howard got hurt juice Scruggs got hurt everyone got hurt and so they moved Titus Howard back to guard right tackle outside of guard and all this stuff Blake fiser might go in there and like start at right tackle for them immediately there's a chance yeah there's a chance and when they were healthy in the second half of the Season especially to me it was a top seven top eight pass protecting unit that they had uh run blocking a question but that cohesiveness can be a major part of it too so um yeah and then we've seen a whole bunch of additions on defense I mean the combination of Will Anderson and denell Hunter plus you know deno alry in the middle pass rushing uh now as you said combining Kamari Lasser who's potentially a nickel with Derrik Stingley too like this is just adding more and more young talent to this team yeah I mean this team this can get hot in the playoffs I it's not not a uh contrar in take to think the Texans can go on a run but the Texans are like they're they're very lit to me I did not realize that they added both Jeff okuda and CJ Henderson as their other outside corners even to go along with Lonnie Johnson who was a second round pick in 2019 they basically said hey at one point the NFL drafted these guys either top 10 in the first round or in the second round one of three is gonna work out for us yeah Brad holes like I'm very picky on corners and then cerio's like I have no taste let's just go uh all right that's going to do it we fit all 32 teams if you didn't check it out the NFC video version of this is up on the board 32 draft grades for Hayden Winks um we'll be back probably like Monday or Tuesday with dynasty rankings for all these udes for your Dynasty drafts and then after that it is hot hot
