2023 Road Glide 3 (Trike) Ride and Review!

I'm ready smile you're on camera [Music] all right guys so take a look at this this is not a Harley Davidson tri-glide this is a Road Glide Trek pretty interesting with the Road Glide front end looks a little bit more sportier I would say check out those Wheels beautiful Wheels all right so we're gonna take this one for a ride see if I remember how to how to start and ride one of these trikes oh yeah so down here you have the the little emergency brake and you have the foot break up here turn down right here all right we are in neutral turn it on [Music] oh yeah all right it almost seems like you know I'm actually six foot four almost seems like I could have a different seat where I can scoot back a little bit more I feel like I'm kind of scrunched a little bit but it definitely won't hit my knees which is good being big you always got to check that out get a little bit of vibration here on the handlebars pretty nice pretty nice all right all right oh let's see if I can get through that little spot right there all right pretty awesome I like the front end very nice very nice all right seems smoother maybe a little bit smoother than the the tri-glide just for the 20 feet that I want right there brakes seem pretty good not bad as it seems like it has a little bit more Rumble than the uh the the trig lines so this is the first year for the Road Glide which is pretty interesting uh suspension pretty nice seems like they've upgraded the suspension a little bit seems like maybe it's a little bit more stable than the uh the tri Glides which is pretty interesting the seat is really comfortable whoa yeah I kind of jumped on that bump kind of jumped a little bit uh let's see if I can get the brakes and the blinkers everything going here pretty nice I really like the color black pretty traditional color uh let's see I think I'll wait for these guys to get in front of me here take it up here this is like the the traditional route here let's see what this thing has here [Music] it's uh loud it's pretty loud wow I'd say it's it's pretty loud for a stock bike they've definitely made it louder now the steering if you've never ridden the three wheeler it's completely different completely different takes a little while to get used to it the first time I rode a three-wheeler it was so hard to get used to but yeah this is uh what my third or fourth year riding these so yeah pretty good looks like we could hit some rain yeah these are always a little bit tricky to get used to you know one thing I've noticed on these three wheelers it seems like it's still the same on this one is they're not like Rock Solid on the road it seems like it kind of wanders a little bit I think that's just the nature of the Beast and if you've never ever ridden a three-wheeler it's you definitely it takes a little bit to get used to it kind of freaks me a little bit when I first started but after you get used to it it's kind of good the wind on this I could feel quite a bit of wind nothing really loud or obnoxious nothing really choppy uh let's see how fast I'm going I'm going about 55 no buffeting maybe a little bit of wind noise seems like maybe over to my left there's a little bit of wind noise so not too bad there well I really like the layout the whole fairing is pretty awesome you got your standard Harley Davidson mirrors pretty typical I absolutely love the Harley Davidson mirrors they're really boating out so we can see a lot behind you and they're kind of stretched out to where you know you can see a lot I think that's why they kind of stick with that with the standard mirrors yeah it's it's a little bit tricky to you have to kind of reverse your thinking instead of like pushing on the right to go right you kind of have to pull a little bit you almost have to like steer into it it's kind of weird the other thing that's weird is when you pull up to a stop sign you don't have to put your feet down or balance it or anything like that it's pretty wild and I have to say on my YouTube channel my number one videos have always been the tri-glide videos always seems like everybody wants to know how well they handle uh you know especially if you're older and especially if you want to like a big bike like this and you don't really have the the body strength to to keep it upright you know anyone can ride a three-wheeler because it doesn't really take the effort that it takes on some of the other ones especially when you're going really slow like a bumper to bumper traffic sometimes it can be kind of a challenge I'd say that's probably the biggest challenge with the big bike is the slow creeping along bumper-to-bumper traffic got the Harley-Davidson clunk through the gears which is typical seems like the steering is really sensitive oh I killed it I kill it it starts in first gear all right so the clutch is a little bit different I'd say than your typical Harley-Davidson clutch so loud you know the funny thing about this bike is it's really loud but it it doesn't really go that fast you know your three reelers they're they're kind of a big old Beast of a bike and they have a lot of weights so it takes a lot to pull these you know to make them go to accelerate very fast which is interesting I'd say it's probably one of the slowest motorcycles as far as um you know I'm assuming this probably has like the 114 engine it's probably the slowest 114 in the lineup just because of the weight of the bike which is you know when you first get on them it's kind of unexpected that's not too bad it's still probably faster than most cars on the road you know normally I'm not really a fan of floorboards and on this one I find the floorboards to be kind of comforting I guess it's oh I think we're getting hit with a little bit of hail but yeah I do like the floorboards you know being really tall like this you know the floorboards always make me seem like my knees are a little bit too high up I wish you know they were down a little bit more but I don't know if you could really do it on this because it's a not really a tall bike to where I don't know if you can put the Florida boards down that much and I know on a lot of bikes you actually have uh the option to uh to replace the floorboards I actually did that on my fat boy it's just two bolts and it just comes right off and you can place the floorboards with pegs which is pretty nice this thing's got some pretty good Rumble to it I mean just cruising down the road it's it's roaring I don't know if you can pick it up on the mic but it's pretty loud it's not too loud though it's got a really nice sound to it really nice deep kind of a purr to it pretty awesome uh let's see what else can I tell you about let's see these are interesting these little uh like blank buttons up here on the steering like three on each side I have no clue what those are for they're just for decoration or if you could actually upgrade to buttons at some point uh it does have a sticker I can't really read the price maybe when I stop I can tell you the price and the kind of some of the specs actually underneath the video I'll look them up when I'm editing this video and uh I'll put all the specs underneath so you can take a look at them see how much this thing costs see what horsepower it is let's see there is a spot uh that I normally turn around at here coming up I think it's right here this is like the normal route that I take every year and let's see how it turns around I always like to turn around here and see kind of like the turning radius and this one you don't have to worry about it falling over wow wow look at that I can really turn this thing on a dime way better than the last drag line there's definitely some upgrades wow I can turn I can't believe how far the handlebar goes in that that's pretty awesome wow that's definitely an upgrade you can almost turn like twice as far on the handlebars that's crazy I'm so trying to get used to this thing [Music] you almost like you almost have to own one of these to really get used to it as far as the wind you know we're actually going like into the wind now I'm going 55 there's a lot of wind uh as far as what I can recall from the uh the tri-glide which is the version before this it's not like the the Road Glide model but the track line uh I remember on that one there was like no wind absolutely no wind so that is a huge difference between that one and this one I could feel wind all the way around me really just really just takes it off my chest I could feel a little bit on my helmet I could feel it on my hands my knees all the way down to my boots so quite a bit of wind which is pretty nice today because it's like 75 degrees it's like the perfect day to run which is pretty awesome let's see what else can I tell you about this bike you have uh some analog gauges wow that's some loud wind coming from a crosswind on the side wow it's not really choppy wind the side uh it's like this the cross winds are loud that's kind of interesting because all the different fairings and the the you know the aerodynamics of the motorcycle you know sometimes the wind can be totally different from one to the other sometimes it's completely silent but sometimes it's choppy I've actually been on a couple bikes where there's a whistle somewhere which drives me crazy like where's that whistle coming from it's like something on the bike it's just like I don't know if it's a factory defect or what but some of them have a little whistle or the wind just whistles through this one there's no whistle no choppy wind no buffeting it's just it's not really I guess it's it's not really as loud as some but it is kind of loud wind which is interesting uh let's see we have a digital fuel gauge or an analog fuel gauge we are full with gas which is nice don't have to worry about running out of gas of the uh you better pay attention to what I'm doing here so we have the the analog speed uh limit uh speed gauge speedometer which is really easy to read underneath the speedometer you have a little digital looks like they're uh like um like a mile tracker or something like that let's see if I can do this without killing it [Music] wow ah I take it back it's got a pretty good pickup actually think it's I think it's way better than the the last year's Tri Glide but still pretty slow compared to I'd say compared to most bikes it's slower which is to be expected really so not too bad but that did kind of surprise me but boy it is loud it is super loud taking off if there is I can I can't tell if it's more or less than last year uh than the tri-glide but it maybe seems like it wanders just a little bit more it kind of wanders on the road a little bit more maybe it's just because I'm still not used to it seems like it's slightly different handling I think a lot of it has to do with the wind too so not too bad it's got some nice big speakers up front I've been trying them out I usually wear um earbuds in my helmet so I usually don't run the speakers but so far the seat is very comfortable very comfortable the position as far as you know being a big guy on this I'm you know six foot four it seems like the position's nice uh you know I'm I'm not too far or not too far back it's a nice stance even though it feels like maybe my knees are a little bit too high I think that's just the nature of the Beast I don't know if there's much you can do with that but not too bad not too bad I noticed it has these cheap Harley Davidson grips on it this is like uh the the grips you want to replace it's funny that hardly it seems like on a lot of Harley Davidsons they have a lot of stuff that normally you just uh you know swap out like the grips and you know when I bought my brand new 2023 fat boy it had a green plastic caps on the valve stems I was like yeah the first thing you want to replace is the valve stem caps which is kind of funny oh yeah you gotta get used to this turning around the corners I'm so used to pushing instead of pulling I'd say that's probably the hardest part of getting used to getting used to a three-wheeler we're definitely getting some rain so I'm actually at uh Harley-Davidson the demo days here in Golden Colorado this is the first bike that I'm riding today I think they have 18 bikes uh on the website they said 18 so but it looked like they had a lot I didn't actually count how many they had of course A lot of them were out uh let's see them turn in here and they have the electric bikes the live wires which is pretty cool uh yeah it's a challenge it's still a challenge to get used to the the corners on this thing it's pretty wild but yeah it's a pretty nice bike would I buy this bike depending on the price yes I would definitely buy this bike it's pretty awesome so today is a really windy day so that kind of has a an impact as far as you know the ride the you know the ride comfort and sometimes if it's really windy it kind of pushes around a little bit not some you won't notice it so much on the big bikes like this but on the small bikes you would definitely notice demo bike return only uh well that's interesting I don't think it can get through [Music] okay I guess what I'm gonna have to do is hit the uh um I'm gonna have to move this you can't quite get through so the hard part about this too is getting on it so to get on it you have to actually put your foot here first and then kind of jump up which is interesting emergency brake all right this yeah it seems like it's really really easy to ride these especially just kind of like taking off let's see if I can actually figure out how to back it up into here that's going to be kind of the tricky part so the reverse let's see you have to actually put it in neutral uh you hold this until the reverse button comes on I figured it out all right and then I think I can just put it in first to stop that [Music] all right it was awesome yeah let's see no what's the price on this 33 what does that say I can't read it 33. sweet maybe I'll buy one all right there you go that is this is the 2023 RG3
