2020 KLX300R First Ride & Review! | A PERFORMANCE Trail Bike For Beginners?

god damn it's it's pregnant at 292 pounds yeah awesome my friend Tilly he wants to buy one of these so I'll give him my honest feedback okay appreciate that I'll just do a little loop and come back thank you all right on there we go Oh starts right up it feels good well this is my first time on the Kol x300 are no Tilly's gonna love this bite [Music] oh my gosh this is Tilly's machine at a jump oh good suspension cruising alright first impressions it's smooth I mean you have that fuel injection so you can't beat it fires right up doesn't matter the weather it's got really linear power which is nice for trail riding you know you don't have that harsh hit that you get with some of the fourth strokes two strokes obviously but very smooth this seems fully stock you know other than cosmetics so with the exhaust and everything I like the exhaust note Oh oh it's got a good top end it's like once you get going man this thing just sales I lost I want to get here but as long as I stay straight heck yeah oh man very nimble feeling the steering is nice whoo I don't think I have anything negative to say about it I mean it's a very affordable pike that you can buy brand-new come out here and have an awesome time on a reliable fuel-injected efficient machine so zero complaints let's see how heavy this thing is I'm not gonna completely like it over but let's try to do a little a 180 turn here that was more of a night turn but you get the point so I'm gonna go ahead and throw it neutral gently lay it down oh I crashed have to pick it up oh come on not bad at all dude look how blue that pipe is she's definitely running lean so I might want to get some kind of tuner get some more fuel flowing and open her up a little bit a lot of bikes come lean well pretty much all bikes gonna lean from the factory so but I'm gonna go take it back to the awesome owner which I need to get his name very nice I recommended or told him wherever you're riding at today and he came out with some family and friends and he said he had a really good time his son looked like he was on a 140 and I guess he sends it uphill climbs like all the time it took on some stuff so he wanted something a little bit more mellow and Wayne is good for that because he don't have to do the gnarly stuff you can get to a location and hit whatever you want you can do the hill climbs or just stick to the trails and have a mellow day so it's fun you know that so riding is all about is getting out there experiencing different places people terrain and that was awesome meeting you and I can't believe I'm out here on your bike so much appreciated back to the calyx 300 are pulled here oh it likes the rev like I said it gets like a lot of power in the top and I got it doesn't have like an enormous amount of low-end by any means but once you wring this thing out she likes to breathe here we go get some jumps whoo no I'm getting but kinds of bugs in my we up is intense be exactly flying by each other yeah that's my little one take on the klx 300 are fantastic entry level budget machine that will last for years to come and bring a lot of smiles I'm sure you can upgrade these things to make them even more capable than they already are no complaints here fantastic bike whoo I love it oh it really is yeah once you get into it too it's got a lot of like mid-range to high-end to it likes to breathe it's absolutely I mean it's a fun spot you know it really really is there's a lot to do a lot that you haven't seen you had and yeah you don't have to do the hard stuff you know you can get to a spot here's some hill climbs over there or you're gonna stay on the trail you can go around the whole day sounds like can't keep him off the hill [Music] he's fearless but he's not stupid yeah the good balance yeah we come down here about every weekend we'll alternate we have a few like privately in there is that we ride but most of time it's either Wayne or there so I'm sure you'll see us around if you ever come back no that'd be great yeah absolutely you folks are awesome yeah I appreciate that I watching your friend kilee east right he drives 50 RC yeah yeah he just sold the drz and this is what he wants to get stuff oh yeah but you know it's all a trade-off like this is gonna be super reliable with something you don't have to worry about you want ejected ya can't beat it well that's gonna wrap up my first initial ride in review of the 2020 klx 300 our shout out to Robert for letting me ride the thing he's a huge supporter of the channel moving on from that I'm gonna go through some of the technical specs of this machine I don't normally do that so let me know if you enjoy it I usually just hop on ride and let you know what I think so the 20/20 klx 300 R is a 292 CC liquid-cooled four-stroke in its 2020 fuel injection is pretty much the standard now it also comes with a six-speed transmission which is really nice and if you ever wanted to convert this into a dual sport it would be manageable on the street it comes with 43 millimeter inverted Forks and the front a lot of trail bikes normally come with a traditional cartridge fork so it's nice to have a more performance oriented fork on this bike you also have a fully adjustable uni track shock and the so you can get this thing fine-tuned for your weight disc brakes front and rear which is gonna be plenty to slow this thing down and like Robert said this bike comes in around two hundred and eighty pounds which might sound like a lot and it is a lot but as I showed you in the video I'd laid the thing completely down on the side and it picked up no problem the only real time you're gonna notice that weight is when you drop it on hill climbs and stuff like that where you have to work to get the bike moved around and for most normal riding days you're not gonna notice the weight that much I think the last thing I'm gonna mention is the seat height because this is a bike that maybe appeals to more of a beginner to intermediate rider I wouldn't mind owning one personally I think it would be a great farm bike and just a great trail bike in general super low maintenance something that you can just hop on put some gas in it not worry about it ride the whole day it's comfortable but for a newer rider or for people who are a little bit vertically challenged the seat height is 36.4 inches which is very manageable but it's still on the cusp of being a full sized bike I was very comfortable on it I'm six foot four with a 36 inch inseam and I enjoy the ergonomics of the bike and I felt really comfortable on it so once again shout out to Robert this is a bike that I've been wanting to test out for a while glad to see that some of the Japanese manufacturers are actually putting their efforts towards making more performance-oriented trail bikes I know Honda finally came around and added fuel injection to their 2020 lineup and the only thing that they have that is comparable is the CRF 250f which is still air-cooled and has a traditional-style suspension great bike though I'm looking forward to riding one of those in the future look good on you Kawasaki for doing something different and pushing the progression of trail bikes enduro wise I don't know what the future of Yamaha is with their yz250 X so it's nice to see that Kawasaki did this and it pushes other manufacturers to try to
