Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Love the music choice at 2:35.
On another note, I still remember when this car came out and dealer markups were crazy! I have not checked prices on these in quite some time, but I would hope that they've settled down.
It's hard to make a call on whether or not this car is "overpriced" or not, especially with COVID causing price increases. I know some will say that they would "never pay 40k for a Civic," which is valid, but I would still kill to drive one of these!
For anyone who hasn't yet seen this gem:

It's like the car world's version of something with gaming in the name.
I love it. It’d be my hot hatch of choice, and I wish I could pick one up someday.
The whole hot hatch segment isn’t exactly a “mature” or “classy” one, at least in the US. It has a youthful and immature vibe to it. I love it how the CTR takes that to another boyracer fuckyou level.
It’s like choosing an Urus (CTR) over a Q8 (Golf R).
I wish i could afford this. I went with an Si instead, still a great car, but if i win the lotto, def going for this lol
Having this beside my S2k would be like actual sex.
I'm not sure having 2 raceboy Hondas would lead to much actual sex but I would dig it.
I am an older millennial (35) and I wish I could get on board with the styling, because it sounds like Honda has really nailed everything else. Would love to drive one someday and see how it compares to my M2. I am not a brand loyalist and enjoy changing up what I drive... I just can’t see myself pull up to a client’s location in one of these at my age. I drove an 02 WRX that had some very “youthful” styling additions that were added by the previous owner, and I didn’t have a problem with it at 22. But that car cost me $11k.
*Edit: To all those who say “it doesn’t matter what people think,” I’m sorry, but it does matter sometimes, and they do care. I work for a Fortune 50 company and if I pulled up to pick up my VP from the airport in a CTR, he’d shit a brick. 90% of people don’t care, but the 10% who do? They matter. C Level executives are often over 55 years old and the simple truth is that a majority of that market thinks this car is overly flashy, “look at me,” and reflects on me as juvenile. My job is to be trustworthy, levelheaded and respectable and fair or not, this conveys something that is opposite to that.
While yes, the argument of "it's a dying breed" in terms of modified consumer class cars... the reason is they're simply not profitable. They're merely advertising for their other brands.
I remember talking to Ralph Gilles at carlisle mopar nationals one year. BTW he's a really great and personable dude, he even signed the inside of my hood. But a few of us got into a conversation about an SRT4 based on the dart. Basically they tried to build one but with a car that was already tight with cost to build v price it simply wasn't feasible while keeping the car competitive with mid range performance cars. It really isn't as easy as "slap a turbo on it", like most seem to think. Minor things like a different spring rate being ordered in a limited run is SO much more expensive to manufacturers.
I’m 36 with 2 kids. Love my 2018 Civic Type R. Always been a Honda fan and also had a STi before.
