welcome along guys were those fantastic people at wheels motorcycles have come through again we've had the Seabee thousand we've had the amazing rs3 for 1,100 factory now we're going supercharged oh yes this is the new Kawasaki h2 sx se+ time for a first ride [Music] [Music] this point only has 20 miles on the clock it's absolutely brand-new so I've got a little bit easy in this first ride it's a bit like the yeah Zedeck six low board four wheels you know it some more or less brand new bike so we've gotta take a look gonna give it a few miles just to run it in a little bit so in this first ride we're not gonna go bands I on this but they'll be plenty of time for that later on don't you worry but first impressions is that what is fairly wide so very wide between your legs one legs are splayed out quite a lot I haven't ridden the bike this wide for quite some time and there's a lot of bike in front of you 200 horsepower 147 Newton metres of torque a hundred forty-seven Newton ears at all - this bike has some massively impressive figures not just a talk not just the power but it's also quite heavy with there being you know a sports tourer or hyper Tora I guess you could call it it's quite weighty so it weighs about two hundred and fifty six kilos if I remember correctly so it's not why it's actually 20 or so kilos heavier than the full h2 but I mean it's been designed to put panniers on the back you know you've got that you got you've got ability to connect panniers to this all the rear subframes different there's a lot of different changes to it it's also got a boost gauge a boost gauge the points extremely comfortable you're nice and upright the C is the GLC is ever so comfortable the position of the foot pegs are they're not that low they're sort of in a sporty ish position they have sort of relatively high for a tourer I would say but because your legs are sprayed out it does put you get your legs in a bit of a funny position I guess it just takes a little bit getting used to the bars are unlike the h2 this has rise slight risers on so they're nice and comfortable I'm leaning for I'm 6 foot 2 I'm leaning forward a tiny little bit but there's really not a lot of weight on your wrists I'll say it's probably the perfect position for touring because you've not got all of the weight on your ass you've got a tiny bit on your arms and upper body so it spreads that way quite nicely now this points now got a full IMU full electronic suspension by KYB so it's not an electronic suspension provider it's not someone who's done an electron it's suspension before it's the same system which of course was on the ZX 10 se so it is it's been refined from the SE version because obviously that's a sports bike let's give a little gentle push through these corners good brand new tires on sir you're very bit careful it's a big boy changes direction pretty quickly though you know and it's incredibly smooth the suspension is super super comply and this is no jarring on nothing from break is absolutely lovely it's actually has those new Stavros brakes thus Tolima Brembo calipers first seen on a Panigale before been on the Aprilia rsv4 and it's now on this so you've got the stay Leamas and so much power there even hauling a big bike like this up they stop it beautifully got it feels bigger on there it feels big round outside beds a good play of initial shelves it lays down in the corners nicely I mean salsa smooth Twitter look I got a little bit wary the tires well I'd lay it right down but I've got a slowly better tires in but there - boy it feels like it'll handle this easily so you could come away go to the Black Forest all down to the Black Forest and I think still have a lot of fun in those twisties once you get there tight they load this and it's really no problem for this I think of one of my slide criticisms I think is they're so stable so effortless you actually don't dare varied your perception of the speed you'd earn don't you think you don't slower than you are it's a proper proper toy this office and knowing you've got that breaking power to stop Suri's imagine say that's a real confidence booster even when you're in agreement change direction when your breaker you break quite hard and must be there 20 suspension the boy doesn't want to stand up when you're breaking it's still quite happy to to lay down before you on that front braid that could be this one of the magical benefits of this electrolysis function whether you know are just a preload front-to-back increases to preload when you're on the braids to stop it driving so much you can hear them cuz it's supercharged what's a boost pressure feels it is shut the throttle that fresh is released for the littles dump valve or butterflies out a sound of that pressure being released is a lovely little it can't hear it very well because I've got the boost pressure right up there but that is one of the fantastic things about a turbo door supercharged quite the noises give you a little wall around let's go in the pub give you a walk around the bike the white horse so there it is it's certainly a fine-looking machine you can see a lot of styling cues from the the real HT to the fairing is a very very similar design to the to the real h2 when the front end is almost identical it looks great I mean it certainly got Road presence doesn't it it's absolutely huge supercharged yeah it's also got a scent to stand for practicality which is obviously probably one of the reasons it's a bit heavier than a normal age too as well single-sided swingarm the exact same wheels the h2 has exactly the same the back light and the whole back of the bike is different at h2 because obviously can take a pillion on this there's no peeing on them on the real way to do so you've got all of your panty affixing do breathe it's also got lean angle turning cornering lights so it's the bike turn corners it's like the GT Super GT these lights come on to shine in the road where where the bikes tipped up we where the lights are coming off of the road I try and take around the dark and see if I can show you that working for a taller but I don't come much better-looking than this I know the h2 looks always some people hate to look at that thing is ugly I think it's incredibly cool looking it's mean it's not beautiful it's made angry and got a real presence and I love it look at that now that see that in your mirror you know it means business love it before we go let me just show you the dash oh yeah so I love it analog wave counter with the TFT lean angle sensor your throttle I'm a Trotter you're giving it then a break quant no just throttle and then this here that BST is your boost gauge which goes up and down you can toggle through the modes and you've got your maximum lean angle 30 degrees 34 degree that's not too bad and I'm betting the tyres in I have the information on that and my house 37 miles is all the bikes done and a trip and that to your Lane again and there's all sorts of options you can also connect your phone to the bike which I'll show you later one it's got bluetooth on here you can connect your phone and you can put information this is why I've put my ultimate add-ons phone man on the bike because you can then have information on your fuel gauge other information showing on your phone so you've got a TFT there and also and also TFT on your phone we've all have information on so and also navigation and stuff as well switch gear is really nice bit busy you've got cruise control here you've got all the menus up and down to preload adjustment because it's electronic suspension it's like the Super Duke so if you press the preload button and should i doing right there you go so one person with luggage two people with like it were in my way Amazo leave its to people with lucky Tommy about right then it's a lovely bit of kit let's get back on hahaha effortlessly quick absolutely effortless I think this is going to be a boy I could be like the rsv4 could get you into a lot of trouble without you even realizing you're in trouble there were balls on those tires our brakes are amazing really gives you confidence to push on this is just a road while it's still this roads are popular around our suspension is just dealing with her it's a missile I'm not even open down the end I can tell it's gonna be an absolute missile what's the maximum lane angle now after that fools 234 30 degrees 34 degrees to the left 30 degrees to the right got a bit more work to do let's see we can get that 240 by the time I give it back maneuvering it round it's heavy it's a bit of a bit of a prospect but you get a little bit nervous when you have to go too low and maneuver it I guess it's fine once you're used to that way but it's a little bit nerve-racking trying to just maneuver around a little tight this like that special gravel so this is now sporting can feel that throttle it's a bit more aggressive the suspension is tightened up it's a bit for bouncy a bit harsh let's put it around this little bumpy section of road here Farrell's he's upset a little bit smash it in the sport mode so a bit a bit a bit aggressive on and off the throttle mountains of power absolute mountains those breaks are just so good yeah very composed I think there's the standout features for me so far are the brakes and that suspension absolutely incredible that's what's standing out to me is as being exceptional at the moment on the motorway eighty miles an hour to coin a phrase I'm gonna bubble the car it's absolutely lovely I've got you know it's just so still the air here the screen isn't particularly high I guess you could get a double screen and have an even higher but the wind is hitting my helmet well the winds up here somewhere that should it's miles away because that's not Moses so tweeted or so long it's such a diverting the air over my head very well indeed yeah make an absolute superb Autobahn blaster as you would imagine I mean listen a lot of this bike is designed for this isn't it the open road is to see a high speed and I can tell he would do that extremely well Oh another supercharger why isn't everybody out there so all of this loveliness how much is that gonna cost you that is the that is there that the bugbear this is an expensive bit of kit this boy costs 21 and a half thousand pounds in this spec but this electronic suspension the new revisions twenty one and a half thousand pounds it's a pricey buy it's the same price as the rsv4 RF you could argue you get a lot more for your money with this it's not just a pocket rocket you can tour on this it seems like it's pretty capable ram twisties I actually did a track-day a couple of months ago six weeks ago and the GSXR and there was a guy here with on the track David one of these not this model Brad last year's model and he was hustling their bike around even on track he was going quick it must have been quite hard work but was really impressed with the track prowess of this point so I know he does handle and this can still handle so I'm gonna be interested to get those Trebek slide those tires visually better did would have a low heat cycle through them I can lay it down we could go through the twisties that we can see what it's actually like to be used as a proper sports tourer well there we go guys first write down I'm impressed with it it's an incredible break it I'll lay the hell get on with it I'll bring you a couple more videos on this I'll bring you a test going for a bit of a tour bit of a trip down to Wayne Murphy on for the day on some faster road some tighter roads and twisty road serious light we'll also go out and do my sort of final summit of the boy want
