does this sound familiar Michigan fan it's a rivalry that only takes a few words and you line up on one side wow I don't think too many people whether they be maize and blue scarlet and gray or any point in between thought we were gonna see what we saw on Saturday not Ohio State winning but the magnitude and scope of the dominance this was a woman this was getting your man who had taken from you as we watched key players hobbling off the field it was a beat-down and a beating and that third quarter might be the worst most embarrassing and humiliating quarter I've ever experienced in my 35 years the Michigan fan it was so bad I just tapped out didn't watch the fourth quarter took the Sun to see Creed to which by the way was enjoyable when I asked him if he wanted to go to the movie with his old man he looked at me and said I don't know we're gonna see a grown man actually win something yikes see he's going on 12 this isn't a rivalry to him it's a perennial beatdown from the legendary horseshoe here in Columbus we've got the greatest rivalry in all of sports and the stakes couldn't be higher that's number four Michigan comes into town to take on the number ten Buckeyes of the Ohio State University for the Big Ten East title 46 baskets to throw it's gone Geraint Haskins putting that parents Campbell gets out about that he gave sixteen this is one of the things that Ohio State is so no college team hell no NFL team has four guys that can cover in space man demand gives man defense a lot of trouble that's exactly what Michigan runs on almost every snap right there Haskins delivers an accurate ball and allows for yards after the catch first down and ten at the 30 yard line [Applause] false start offense number 78 five-yard penalty first down Demetrius knocks the right guard he's right here right side and just gets a little bit of a lunge right side right side right side right side and just gets a little bit of a lunge they've had problems with all about 35 yards Michigan make for their second series you're likely going to see them get right back into what they want to be which is that run first oriented team multiple tight ends on the field fullback possibly and yet here's the issue that's what Michigan does the adjustment is out of their character to get into zone coverage and that's why when we play lesser teams we dominate that ease and we put them so far in a hole offensively they can't hang around with us even if we're having a slow day or an off day or a flat game because they just don't win enough at the line of scrimmage to keep to take advantage of it but we play teams that can hit us back that can hold their water at the point of attack for an extra second in terms of pass drop and they and they have receivers that can get off the line quick and they have a quarterback who's got an NFL release touchdown in the first time and the pup guys take to 22:16 what about standing job here of Dwayne Hoskins recognizing that Michigan blows the coverage you got three Wolverines with their eyes in the backfield they don't put their eyes on Dixon he's wide open and Haskins delivers it for another touchdown this passing attack for team and so we're gonna construct a game plan to mitigate and hide those weaknesses and accentuate our strengths as much as we can here's what the michigan coaches did they ran the same damn game plan that worked against michigan state and a slogging rain with a quarterback with one arm they ran the same game plan against different that they ran against wisconsin whose coach panicked and said let it we're not where they did attack their perimeter on a few plays that's when Hickman had his biggest runs by the way but they rarely attacked the perimeter they've got these three guys in a receiver in uniform who looked like an NFL team they rarely threw the ball down the field to them banks brakes it's a go but just gets back barely to the line of scrimmage Paterson over the middle catch the the backfield he'd love to score against his home state team touchdown we've been waiting all year to play their best game of the year well under admire they wait for the final games against their arch-rivals in the game but guys blowing the wolverines away now enough to make a Wolverine scream Mike Weber in on the action 41 to 19 oh hi Oh stink on top of Michigan deep in the third quarter all smiles on that Buckeyes sideline does it include his own health issues to Russia see I think our coach has to win in a box a fantasy [Applause] chicken wings see how he's just gotten he's he's holding Nikko Collins with that right arm I know it wasn't a ton of contact but he is impeding the wide receivers route to the ball and that's a flop Patterson throws to the corner Nick Collins goes up and has his second touchdown of the day Patterson the Collins for more time now that you wait for it there now if they score again they're forced to go for to the rest of the way out the state so chasing points I don't think pays off right there for Jim he'll go tomorrow McCoy and if you think there's a massive talent gap between these two is Ohio State more talented yes is there a massive talent gap no and and and you're gonna see Michigan's defense look like the next two NFL drafts was essentially a farm team a triple-a franchise for the NFL I'll bet you all 11 guys that started on Saturday all 11 and then guys like quit IPE and jaws each a that plays significant minutes I bet you'll see all of those guys in NFL training camps either this children this coming July or July of 2020 mark my words there wasn't a massive talent gap there Jude touchdown now [Applause] what a day for Paris Campbell [Applause] you want to see what speed does to you check out the safety in the backend that's not worked the injuries have taken their toll on this Michigan team during the course of the game and the game plan for Ohio State has been master class the 26 Madison under Crescent again to just get to river I said you wanna get he is gobbled up on Thanksgiving weekend by Jonathan Cooper but a fly [Applause] and Patterson is hurt [Applause] personal foul face mask defense number 18 after this is to the goal from the previous reaches gets that facemask right there just for a moment and Patterson went down awkwardly and he's still down is now the Michigan team is going to get us there and Mason going to have great quarterbacks they may not both have great quarterbacks I did this year I said the odds that they both won't have great where max is much much lower than the odds they both will have great quarterback to be given here most of the time one of them certainly will at least pretty much every year at your back and sometimes they both well never they go fault and we don't beat through as a family knowing what urban is going through with his health the pain that he's dealing with due to that cyst in his brain the people have said and written about the Meyer family and urban Michigan faithful it's going to move to Owen for now against Ohio State and in the year in which he brings the team that was favored a veteran defense that was ranked number one in the country number one pass defense in the country how statement than having so many problems all year you thought points they don't win this one Ohio State and then to come out and play like this and to keep up 62 - the Buckeyes this is about as bitter as it gets for Michigan coming into today who is own thrill move to Owen for scoring margin it's obviously gonna increase a little bit turnover margin - four against Ohio State coming into this ball game and now they're - two in this game so the struggles continue Michigan faithful and trust me I've heard you they hit me up on Twitter and everything they thought this was it because they thought this was their year these are his players versatile high o state now they had plate so many close games in Kapolei that they're gonna give the disappointment for the Michigan fan base right now here's your sidekick [Applause] and it goes on Wow that blow not walk so just a humiliating loss that it was that embarrassing lost a deflating loss that surprising loss that's shocking stunning whatever whatever you want to describe it as that's what that loss was on Saturday they're not good enough they're not as good at the team opposite them the coaches are not good enough the players are not good enough and that's what happened on Saturday we don't need to make excuses for Michigan flat-out okay they had 19 points after the third quarter people banned about this whole well the score 39 points in the game so what he expected be I okay he needed scored 39 points in that game they've scored 14 of those points with backup quarterback to the third and forcing quarterbacks in the game at the end when Ohio State was it was garbage time so the offense and the defense was an abomination the number 62 points allowed the most in a game besides the 65 that a Rich Rodriguez defense allowed in triple overtime to Illinois the special teams fail everything failed on Saturday and I don't know why people can't actually look at that and say okay okay look we screwed up in every way conceivable when our measuring stick our barometer is a Big Ten title and be in Ohio State we didn't come close and you're for we got a buck handed to us we were closer in year two we were closer in your three in year four we got manhandled and I don't know like people can't look at that objectively with honest eyes it was critical eyes and ask how it happened and why is it not gonna happen going forward better just give me the you know everything's going funky Dori they won 10 games the third time the last four years just shut up Dwain Haskins gonna Tekken be in the game 62 man right now we're a football program that if we want to win nine or ten games every year with the waiver recruiting we will well Jimmy needs to get his guys in there right he needs to have more of his recruits that are playing this game that's why they're still the chief difference well 74 to 80 one scholarship players on Michigan's team right now are Jim Harbaugh recruits 20 of the 22 starters that were in that game against Ohio State on Saturday our Jim Harbaugh our Cruz 15 of those guys were either in the third or fourth year so which one is it is it that you need to get if you need to get your guys I mean those are his guys those guys and if you need to have veterans well most the guys playing in the game on Saturday were either junior or senior class so so which one and this is these are the type of narrative fee that you and I hear over and over and over again this week and again you're right Jim Harbaugh I guarantee you stand here and all the same excuses the same excuses mm-hmm but you know what hopefully better days are ahead I really hope that Steve I really I really want to think this success but I'm a realist and I don't see the ceiling being punctured any time soon not under the current approach under the current approach are going to be a 9 or 10 win new year six kind of a program but you are not going to consistently with this style of ball no doubt about it won't work appreciate it man good to talk to you sixty-two to 39 tell you what and they stormed the field here in Columbus so hard to describe you know grown up in the state of Ohio much respect to this rivalry and my gosh at our guys play they played as hard as they could no player on your team has ever lost to Michigan and today Dwayne Haskins he led the way setting war records but he got a Big Ten championship game coming up what can we expect from you guys moving on well we go back to work we enjoy this elite warriors we get your enjoy your victory and you wait for your next assignment your next mission and go to work and that's what we're gonna do here seven for seven how do you have the edge I just love this robbery I love all house days that's almost say all
