2018 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special & Road King Overview

hi Andi bhumata here and I've got some great news for you cycle city Hawaii has in the 2018 Harley Davidsons and today we're going to be talking about the Street Glide special and the road king now first the similarities they both have a 26 and a half inch seat height now I'm five eight I got a thirty one and a half inch inseam and I can flatfoot both of these bikes they both have the 107 Milwaukee eight motor that gives you four valves per cylinder they produce 94 horsepower and a hundred and eleven foot-pounds of torque now the difference would be this one the street guys special has the fairing attached to the handlebars you see that and in there is the boom entertainment system it's got GPS it's got bluetooth it's got voice recognition it's got a little place for your cell phone with a USB port so you can charge your tunes while you're taking that long trip they both have cruise control but this one does not have all that stuff but a removable windshield now here's what's very interesting to me this one is actually seven pounds lighter than the road King how do they do that and how do they feel on the road or what do you say when you go find out you ready Milwaukee aids let's go [Music] what always amazes me about these street glides is how nimble they are no I'm sure I've had two sports iners that aren't as good as maneuvering around in short distances like I just did and by the way speaking of short distance that's the reason I'm not wearing a helmet you know this is a closed course nobody else is around but wear one I usually do it's hot out here whoo they still sound good even when their counterbalance amazing do I have to return this [Music] you know I didn't think I wouldn't notice the extra seven pounds but you do and I guess the weight is more down here than it is up here but you really do feel it it's not bad it's just it's definitely there and this windshield when you're used to the lower fairing you know I find myself wanting to look over it when I go wait a minute it's clear I can see it and guess what it's not distorted I really like that and you can of course take it off if you want you know I got to tell you when you're on this bike it feels more classic you know you want to get an old leather jacket and kind of bust it up and and you know hey I've been around for a while I got that classic style but it's still brand new and it pops man I gotta tell ya haha what fine if I had to choose between the two I think it would be about what type of riding do I do longer distance I think I'd go for this Street Glide special around town maybe a little bar hopping with a long-distance cruise every once in a while I think this would be the tool what a decision maybe I should do some more testing okay love that sound stock pipes no less [Music] you you
