Let's think about one issue.

It's striking just how accurate Peterson gets when he discusses the absence of women in elite law firms etc. It contrast to claims of a terrible male tendency to block women from advancement, no doubt part of the ongoing war on women, conducted by the base drive of toxic masculinity, he offers up the reasons that those women actually give when asked.

They want a family. They only have a few years to find the right man. There are only a tiny number of men which they find acceptable (wealthy, high status, intelligent). The law firm demands, and continues to demand even upon reaching the summit, astonishing levels of commitment that are difficult to imagine for anyone (e.g. a gender studies professor) who has never worked in that environment. A woman in a Magic Circle Top 5 firm described her work as "selling her soul". That requires sacrificing the very precious personal life-world that the women need to put a family together. You can't go part-time if you want to advance. So they almost always drop-out.

The men are freaks among men. Most men cannot begin to understand the work commitment of these men. The men have no such time restrictions to form a family. They place their identity around work. They never stop working until forced to retire at 55.

The law firm knows this is how the world works. There is no way to alter this that does not hugely damage the bottom-line. Just the slightest drop in performance leads to other firms crashing ahead of them. So knowing this, they hire very attractive young female lawyers. A majority of the new lawyers will be female. They bring in clients with their looks and they make future good ex-wives for the senior lawyers. And so the life cycle goes on.

These are very specific material realities. Nothing to do with the sins of men, and nothing that can be legislated away. Every legislative move of feminization, results in women choosing more feminine professions, hence we find the female nurses in feminist Sweden, and IT female workers in poverty-stricken India.

The war on women is 2017 Feminism. It is entirely antithetical to women's life needs. It is a con. It would be described as anti-feminism in 1995. The shark has jumped the shark jumping the surfer jumping another shark. Stop this madness. There is no Mr Patrick Archy.

Simply the best!

I'm a little less biologically based in my thinking than Peterson, but I think its an unnecessary argument anyway.

I like Dr. Peterson too. He has his philosophical chops down. But often when the rubber hits the road he just starts bullshitting.

He brings up the gender pay gap, and then mentions how women won't take blue collar jobs. Specifically he mentions the Alberta oil fields.

Lets do a bit of reality testing.

Oil is not deposited conveniently next to the city. It is mostly in remote locations far away from the socializing effects of society. The men who choose to work these jobs are mostly pretty rough. Workers do not commute to these jobs. They mostly live in dormitory style "man camps" while working week-on week-off schedules.

The few women who work in these places are segregated from men. They preform different roles, they work a their own shift, use the cafeteria and bathrooms during protected time and relaxation in the common areas is mostly supervised. They do not work these jobs because of the constant threat of unsavory gang rape.
