motorcross has been a part of my life ever since I was born just because the track was right there and write her up I didn't finish me quite a bit I mean we've got a national caliber track in our backyard you know I wrote race and my whole life so I know a few tricks the special trick may be the fact that we got about 10 15 years of extra practice on the track that's definitely advantage I haven't my brother you know being the pro ranks for couple years before me helped out quite a bit because you know as he was going through that and I was getting towards the end of my amateur career I was able to watch him grow and to see him make the steaks and then learn from them you know I've been here for a little bit longer than him but it's fun to you know to have him there at the track and you know we go out to dinner and stuff I get my most memorable moment we probably redbud had my best overall finish I got third overall first career outdoor podium so it was it was a great day I'd say probably the biggest advice my brother's ever given me was mainly just to worry about myself you know and focus on me and do my deal and don't worry about what everyone else is doing you have to take your time and put you're working during the week and then it'll pay off eventually [Applause] and we showed you the house we're gonna show you actually how close it is there's the creek bank of Spring Creek there's the banners and there is the tract and they did have to stay in a Motorhome this weekend or a hotel they literally walked to the pits we'll be right back see how they do a moto one of the 250 class [Music] [Music] that was last week at Washougal Washington eli tomac the first rider this year to go 1-1 and closing with him one point of Ken Roczen in the series standings now on to Millville what do you need to do to go fast here it's the Rocky Mountain atv/mc keys Jeff well once again this week I enlisted some of the riders okay reigning champion Blake Baggett he says you got to get through the whoops clean and he meant around the start through the first two sections of sandwich he says he wants to get to that point so if you have the hole shot then you've obviously done that if you're in the pack it says it's really easy to hit someone or go down also the Martin brothers this is a sister place it's also use a home track your advantage is Jeremy Martin right there 77 my plasma ha you're gonna see well there's this house well we showed it right there just with the San whoops and that section of track just behind it also Alex Martin he'll be number 37 on the Rock River Yamaha there he is right there so you think both these guys they got to be pumped up for this race I hope not too pumped up don't get too nervous because you see how it's trying to relax on the 37 let's give you the motorcycle superstore comm holeshot rules we mentioned in the 450 class $25,000 on the line at the end of the year 15 grand in the 250 class for the rider that has the most hole shot points you get those points by getting hole shots basically getting to this scaffolding outside of turn one first and then the rest of the track well we'll show you to you the best way we can with our Kawasaki tank man all right now we have seen how this starts going to shape up how the whoops have shaped up actually changed some of the lines so the overhead view this time follow that Kawasaki arrow through the motorcycle superstore comm hole shot built Ford Tough tabletop this is that jump word last moto Ryan Villopoto just went down on the 450s Sam whoops are starting to change a little bit we're starting to see certain sections wear out a big run here as you go to the right side of the second set we do know that the track has that hard base right now it's got a lot of loose stuff on top massive tabletop uphill triple make a right drop back down and look at the angle off camber turn now this double this redbull double is gonna be a little bit more difficult for the 250 outfit less horsepower hopefully smaller piston in that engine but gonna make a left at the top of the hill catch back up at the tabletop drop back down more of these zigzags left and right left them right you can make up time to lose time through here each other that Kawasaki KX 4 on the bottom of the track of course this is straightened out I'm gonna head up final you turn up the hill back down take a ride over the lucas oil finish line jump that's another lap here at Spring Creek motocross this track certainly gave us a great battle in the first 450 moto we hope to see another good one here in the 250 class let's get an update send it back down to the starting line with Kelly Jason this 250 class championship has really come down to a 2 man battle between Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac and when you look at the numbers between these two riders you see just how evenly matched they are just one point separates them in the championship standings advantage to Roxon they've each won 7 Moto's but Eli Tomac has three overall wins to Kenny's to and even when you look at the number of laps lead it's a hundred and nine laps led by Ken Roczen 103 by Eli Tomac very close the only big difference between the two is when you look at their average margin of victory in those moto wins Ken roxxon's averaging about seven and a half seconds ahead of second place while for Eli Tomac it's - 20 seconds so when he wins he really makes a statement now the only thing we haven't seen is these two really go head-to-head and Eli Tomac admitted it's been a bit strange to have this great championship battle with someone he's hardly really seen much on the track I know the fans are looking forward to it Eli Tomac says he'd rather just run away from him I like that plan but today's the day I mean these riders have dominated this season and with the weather being like it is the type of track I look for these two guys to get out front and just you don't take off this is incredible we ran through some stats this week when you take their battle in Monster Energy Supercross in the West region which came down to just a handful of points Roxon just edging Tomac there and that all the Moto wins they have so far in Lucas Oil motocross they have taken the gate dropped 26 times this year and they've won 23 out of 26 of those races that's incredible Jason Anderson won a supercross Blake Baggett is one-one mode of this year Marvin mu scan is one-one moto that's it no one else has beaten these guys more than once yeah that's it's been pretty pretty competitive and you can see the Moto one board up here and like I said I look for these guys to dominate this moto here today there's a lot of great riders on the line let's see if they can get in mix it up maybe help their teammate out a little bit but I don't know when the championships on the line you get to this point of the season that intensity internet that level of desire when you know that the number plate is within your grasp neither rider has ever won it it's all out it's all out so Tomac your fastest qualifier earlier today yeah carrying that momentum in again tomax first one one overall performance of the year last week I said it was the first one one this year Roxon and a 1-1 in the opener that was tomax first one to get an overall last week I wash juggle aim with fast qualifying award today certainly the 17th Changsha momentum he also won this race last year so the 94 is got to try to turn that around here yeah and I mentioned Tom Bakk was your fast qualifier 153 point for so track was faster than what the 450s in last hours race was Roxon was second with a 154 eight these guys are flying there hey and just when we start saying it's a two-man show remember that first 450 moto was completely blown wide open the Ryan's weren't even on the podium so anything can happen to motocross here we go let's go racing a Millville [Music] and it's going to be will Hahn again another hole shot but guess who's right with them Jeremy Martin ah home track specialist literally it's right there the 77 and trying to go the lead and it's poblano 34 at moon Scouts 25 I believe well Anderson right there so there comes Kid Rock's and there to the right of your screen looks like Cole Seeley's in there Oh Martin makes a mistake doesn't lose a position but loses a little bit of time where is he like Tomiko rocks and gets slammed by anderson and the 43 lucas oil trail a Honda of CO sealing past Anderson now trying to get past Bogle they almost come together there's your reigning champ back and goes by Toback off the track to the right side of the screen he's buried tries to go to work he has been the holeshot master so far this year it continues but watch out for the home kid and the Frenchman now battling 2nd and 3rd now we had a press day here on Thursday rider and 3rd 3rd Marvin Bruce can they're on a Red Bull KTM he went down hard damaged his right shoulder he's obviously he can ride he says I just don't have the strength that I normally would let's see if he rises to the occasion and puts the injury behind him Oh Bogle is trying to put him behind him and he does he gets around a moose can and roxxon's gonna follow suit [Music] percent it is 250 class and these other riders will make you pay here comes Anderson next in line 21 Rockstar Energy Racing ride track start to get a little bit choppy now in practice the riders said it was really fast you know kind of like a freeway you can just go all out now it's starting to get a little character to it where the bike setup chassis setup suspension spec is really gonna play a key part in trying to get around bogel this is the battle for third with Han leading at Martin's second vote we're going to do everything he can to keep boxing behind him Tomac 14th at the end of lap one it's the golden opportunity the damage when they do have together second point seconds off the lead so like we have seen this year it seems to be like the top 15 riders are just so compacted wheel to wheel so if you know a mistake you can really drop a lot of positions quickly and I'll tell you rocks it has been a master and taking advantage of that he's had a couple of motives where he really hasn't had a good start but he's passed riders so quickly when they're in that group on the first and second lap that's attack what he's trying to do here to get second from Martin even with the bad start two or three laps in he's right up front and that's exactly what he's done here he gets the chin the whole track specialist who's going to try to cut back on him here gets him and he does Jeremy Martin making it happen Wow nice pass back right there that corner has been a part of the track and that left-hander for as long as I can remember and he used a great line just stayed low so you're saying that Jeremy's probably ridden through that corner a time or two roxxon's got to go back to work to try to get second away from the my flash Star racing Yamaha rider with holo to the Geico Honda just ahead I like how Roxon looks on the bike right now also nice and relaxed and earlier today qualifying time times for the most part were off the pace a little bit even had some problems in sections of the track but right now he has definitely focused I spoke to him earlier I said you know he wasn't happy with with getting beat last week losing some more points in the championship but he also yo says he's ready to respond it's like okay let's ride so it's not the one [Music] yeah it doesn't appear like the pressure has really affected him that much and chalked it up he said Tomac out loaded him last week and will move on to the next one although he's had two hands full trying to get around Martin now that empty spot let's sit down to tell a bit more on Roxon boy talk to Kenny earlier he said one of the reasons he wasn't particularly happy with this practice times was on his best lap or what would have been his best lap he went down pretty hard in the woods he said luckily he's okay he felt just fine but he said he never got a clean lap again after that but he wasn't really worried about he said it's not be the same as the race place I'm not worried about race pace I know I have it and as he said not very happy getting beat last week he said now he's definitely got to be more aggressive he's ready to go for it he absolutely loves today's weather it feels very much like the weather that he's used to writing it and Europe's all the conditions playing into the hands of Ken Rox trying to go back after Martin for the number two spot and Morton is close date on Honda so it's a three rider dueled for the lead right now yeah it looks like we've scanned Andersen's right there Hill Durham the two Kawasaki riders are seventh and eighth and they're only seven seconds off of the lead and Durham's in eighth said eight riders within seven seconds and Tomac isn't Ted so that's a closed pack in front of him he might be able to make moves quickly like Roxon did roxxon's still can't quite get around Martin well on that side you notice how close these riders are getting over those jumps locks it really has got a good Drive over that finish line jump but kinda has to check up because how Martin's going from the left side of the table top to counter to the center Roxan going to try to set this up entering the whoops these lighters are working so hard right now this section here it just really takes a lot of brute strength you're hanging off the bike you have to keep yourself perfectly balanced if you get over the front too much too much you bury the bike in one of those big sandrov's there's a really good chance that you're gonna go down rocks I get to try the outside line this is where he made a move earlier cannot make it happen that's where he got Vogel couldn't get Martin and Martin is all over hard and then it kid that battle right behind a moose camp Oval Anderson hill all right there yeah Tomac has moved up to eighth he's 7.1 seconds off of the lead as deep three riders look at this Roxon trying to get him under braking down the hill boy holds him off again and now Bart goes after all you know if Martin takes the lead here this whole place is going to erupt his first time throughout a pro national at his home track and can he even get a Lapland roxxon's gonna have something to say about that he gets around Martin while Martin was trying to set up hon so now the 77 has to go to work he managed to Pat's rocks it back once we talked a lot about girl on because he's just been out front setting the pace but this has been the best ride for will Hahn so far this season started the championship late after an injury Starks have been exceptional now you're starting to see him ride and a pace that is more like what he was like a supercross championship earlier this season when he won the title Johan is the East region two bhindi Supercross champ rocks in the West region champ ahaab broke his hand at the final Supercross race still clung on pardon Fudd to win head title but then has taken up weeks off get surgery get healed up seems to be getting stronger by the week and look at this battle we're still remember Tomac was seven point one seconds behind in a blast lab he's now passed hill behind it 7-7 riders within six seconds let me throw this at you we had theorized a bit during the week the roxxon's situation wait a minute flaxen is down I thought I saw that out of the court of my on that previous shot Roxon is down and apparently down hard holding his head is this the entrance to the whoops he just called this is coming down that fat straight after the start you get on the right side of the tire right here it's really slippery let's see what happens I'll lose his front wheel traction Wow Wow does he get pitched off the bike hard and that is really fast right there watch right here it catches the inside right here loses it's like a bomb went off something just that was really odd how quickly the front end this is practice earlier today in the sand whoops has a massive line going right there makes a big mistake goes down what looks to be hard he gets back up pretty easily but the second one here in moto 1 looks like it's really good a ticket to toll and it's gonna be very costly in the championship absolutely Tomac probably rode by himself on the ground now he has an opportunity to make up points meanwhile these riders are going for the Moto win he got conned Martin and boost em right back in it booth this be to tame that everyone here in Minnesota spooky for Jeremy Martin goats on the way to Ken Roczen is hurting [Music] battle is on here at Spring Creek it's the Red Bull national charity bar to the 77 and Barbara moose can the 25 try and get well on the lead I can't repeat it enough Martin is a native of this track he lives at this property and he's going believe oh he's close on the inside he's got it and the crowd could select they pop back into view and they see Martin the Minnesota native in the number one spot for the first time there couldn't have been a better spot to take the lead that's like a stadium area of the track or there's a hillsides filled with all the Minnesota fans unbelievable leading here in moto 1 it is hope national it's feeling it right now she wheelies out of that corner you take the insurance company or one on Terry Martin take us through this look at this the uphill triple pod just doesn't quite scrub good enough there he leaves to drop a little bit Martin stays low has the inside line watch right here as they drop over to the fan to really start to erupt because they know that their home now taking the lead unbelievable and trying to extend it a little bit now over hog mousse can has gotten around him for the number two spot and after the Beatrice Johnson and Java raga world flyweight championship they exclusive post fight coverage begins on FUEL TV that's live tonight 10:00 Eastern tell you what Jason if Jeremy Martin wants to win this thing he better get on the gas and you served that local knowledge with a clear track disadvantage because now number 17 here can't go Honda rider Eli Tomac from mid pack being off the track at one point has now passed his teammates he barman who scanned and Hahn in the stands in his way yeah Honda's gonna buzz back here sorry yeah Holly got past my boots can Tomac and Anderson some bad so Martin is your leader moose can second and they got first and second two and a half seconds Martin is doing what he needs to do he's trying to run it - Tomac right now and we're only we're not even to the 15-minute mark yet it seems like there's been a Moto's worth of action the 30 minutes worth of actions all were already in this first half so late in the Moto when your physical fitness and all of that really starts to play a big part is still yet to come and Tomac has already worked his way up to third [Music] a lot of momentum here check out that countdown clock top of the screen it's a guy go 15 minute mark 15 minutes and two laps left in this race and in 15 minutes you can save 50% or more on car insurance by calling it is the Geico Honda man Tomek Martin is trying to run it high but Tomac is the one who can turning in the fastest laps he has come from outside the top ten to this number three position how much farther for can he go taking a look at the lap times last lap around Jeremy Martin nearly or 158 seven whose can a 159 Tomac a 158 seven and still top six are only separated by six seconds of bogo's still putting on a great ride hanging in there look at this there goes first second third fourth fifth six right there near straight this has been another typical Jason Anderson moto who seems to be writing a big battles every time but the poor guys seems to know everything month gatepost new material it's running strong he's in fourth he's sixth in points his best photo finish a series of 14 shots out of this fight everyone's focused on Tomac first three scamper second as Martin tries to get away they live loose can riding with that injured shoulder he is putting in a great ride to work his way up to this position doesn't look like the shoulder is bothering him much at all really working to find a nice smooth landing perfect timing on there not coming down hard at all some of these sections so there's nothing you can do it's going to be rough like this area right here it's what claimed Roxon who is now officially out of this photo so even if it ended like this Tomac will make up 20 points on próxima standings and of a 19 point lead but you know Tomac wants more than 3rd row man he's out to go with these Moto's improved everybody that that he's the guy lately has been so good he looks really comfortable on the bike it doesn't seem like that any amount of intensity bothers him the more the better he seems to respond so what news wave for now just trying to find a place here last time around all three riders into 150 there's that big uphill tripled this is the area where Martin got the lead from Han Han is now back in fifth behind Anderson this is second and third Tomac gonna try it on the inside of his cab on an off-camber inside barely a rut to Bank off having made it how a moose gets gonna try to get him back whose can't forces him wide they're side by side but I believe that outside the epitome max gonna take second now he's gonna set his sights on your leader Jeremy Martin on the Yamaha that was an impressive past that was not the Maine where he slept in the toilet tub that's tomax in that zone and you just have the confidence to put the mic wherever you want he does you feel like there's no rider standing in your way it's a great place to be in I can tell you that well this is the pressure point right now twelve minutes and two laps left a three-second lead for Jeremy Martin the fans certainly know who they want to win it's Martin who lives here at the track and he delivered a victory in his first ever professional moto here at Millville [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] and here is Ken Roczen out of this moto after a big crash while running for the lead intended to buy is a dad there's also a Stephanie who's the PR manager for the Red Bull KTM team hope Katy is going to be a right to even bounce back in race moto 2 later today on NBC Sports Network yeah that's not good body language that we're seeing right there the crash was one of the fastest sections of the track he got off the bike broken bones or anything like that but he's so costly in the championship while we were gone Justin football was able to get around his teammate and good friend will oddly wouldn't know it the way they were battling they really pushed it hard will point hon actually ended up off the track and that puts Bogle into fifth on six Jeremy Martin mired in lap traffic and we do have Roxanne update Kelly let's headed to the pits Kelly what's happening yet Kenny a hard fall first most importantly are you okay yeah it's my my chest hurts pretty bad I don't know I think the front end talked or something and I just feel backwards but yeah knock the wind out of me and it's basically just my knee my chest you hear that hurts pretty bad right now but I know it's still early but do you think you're gonna try to get back out there for Moto 2 yeah for sure I'm gonna try you know I'm gonna give my best but right now like you're not going out of me and everybody wants to work on then but try to get finger ready for a second one thank you it's because the way that our schedule is we have all the 45215 formula 250 back to back to back to back for hours solid of racing sort of no extra extra race there in the middle with the women's race or any intermission and it didn't look like at that point that that he could breathe - - right at the pace of Auto meters yeah that crash is probably 20 minutes ago or so is getting down to the wire in this one Jeremy Martin he needs less time on that clock up ahead because Eli Tomac has caught him and we are about to have a battle for the number one spot and there's still plenty of time Tomac to make things happen seven minutes before the two lap board comes out now look at Tomac so aggressive through that line you know Martin he wants this one man oh yeah so he's gonna he's gonna put up a fight so just be pretty impressive right here Martin to pull this off but seems like the clock in this boat Oh 20 of the 450 photo 1 if the clock just went down the see you like that in this photo this like it taken by so slowly especially if you're Bobby Regan [Music] or anybody the Martin family throw the flag not manipulate the results or time even if they own the tractor wolves in the rolls 30 minutes in two laps and Eli Tomac is all over him now but he'll have the boots on the fans seem that can help all a little mistake from Martin II takes looked over his shoulder tomax gonna be on the inside barns got it closed off Tomac is really good at debt he has a great instinct it's kind of checking up before a turn or we're gonna cross lines with the rider in front of you and he has a way of doing that and then just timing it perfectly to try to get to drive and pass the rider in front of him it's like the head fake here he goes down the inside oh I see a little rain coming down right now I don't think enough to affect the track maybe vision though yeah if you did a little bit of sprinkles here is a good shop right there on our camera lens pop is his debt oh wait now it looks like it's raining hard yeah so what happens is now with the roost comes up sand and some of the dryer bits of dirt will stick to got some water on your tear off so then you go through your tear offs quicker I saw Martin just for three of them in one straight away alone and he's leading toe back over just a downhill work he used this line a moose can not gonna work on Martin fine so a lot happening here we've got the weather changing more tear offs being ripped by Martin Tomac around the outside this could be the move in a driving rain nonetheless and Tomac takes the lead with authority did you sleep job that tabletop and that's risky because if you ever jumped at get into those braking bumps and for that last mistake they're off that drop-off it could be really costly but Tomac I mean till soldered to where he's happy yeah he is totally on fire and it's not taking away from Martin he is a rookie Pro he is riding phenomenally well he obviously knows all the fast lines on this track but Tomac has just been superhuman the last couple of Moto's and he might spoil this homecoming party they'll be pumped and Martin's up on the podium at all second place is pretty impressive but what can you say about the set of team yeah he's been he's been exceptional but with Tomac I mean it just seems like this is last couple of weeks right technique has been grazed his confidence has been there starts have been batteries had to right through the pack in this moto but for the most part he's just so in command of his motorcycle and really starting to show his dominance now in this championship coming into this first a bitter loss that Supercross title that had to hurt at the time they were still flirting with the idea of potentially racing off 450 here in the Nationals and he was still in contract negotiations for next year they've got that all sorted Supercross is behind him he's obviously links to the 250 class this summer not the 450 his deal for next year at Geico is locked in he has full focus and it is showing right there as he pulls away from the field again to moto wins last time out of Washougal working on another one here and if she is to literally dominating the competition it's what's gonna lure large as well then rocks it out we could make up maximum points also there's the to the best he's Vanstone second [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] battle raging here late in the first moto here live on FUEL TV Red Bull Spring Creek National Blake bag and you're defending Series champion see him anywhere on the radar early in this one has closed up on his teammate Justin Hill who has closed up on will Hahn and here goes hill down the inside this is a battle for 6th 7th 8th place side-by-side Hahn and Hill baguette started mid pack didn't really make too many moves until just in last couple laps now he's starting to get together Hill makes it happen on Hahn and baguette might also and they both get around the 19 and baguette gets around hill seville had 60 place for a matter of two corners now I'm trying to get him back look at that side-by-side the teammates still going at it but he'll not able to jump that double into that right-hander Laos back into just inch away now Hills trying to capitalize in the momentum he built with a career best finish last time I was his home race at Washougal we did it with our motorcycle superstore Don Tom hole shot replay watch right here as they come into the first turn Hahn has this all by himself Martin 77 on the Yamaha trying to hug the tight line in their moguls in there too but across the stripes will Hahn number 19 let's see oh yeah he's got it clean all the way couple riders going off the track they're in the background and on I believe it's leading the points in those all shot standings looking for 15 grand at the end of the year there is Jeremy Martin had a pair of hole shots at one day and that gave him four on had just been dumped in it yeah Hahn missed the first three races yeah championship no problem we made that ground up in a hurry here is Tomac lead is 6.9 seconds over Martin a great ride for Martin Tomac has just been something special in the last month or so his championship at least started the phenomenal second moto at folks we rallied from about thirty first it's going to SAP been smelling Red Bud strong at Washougal strong again here in freemartin obviously he'd be the dream come true he win the Moto but still a heck of a ride yeah second place definitely here in Anderson up to third now real moon scan up to third and looking at Anderson's last lap 159 Tomac just goes by the stripe with the lead at two-minute mark McCool wants a tax cut due up slow down for these guys just a little bit finally 16 laps of the book already sniffs a finally a podium opportunity for Anderson who has been so close so many times this year like we said what he's six the points is that a couple of fourth place finishes might finally put the rock star energy racing machine in third then you saw him stand forth mobile infantry other waters say they wanted something to build off of the solid performance of Bobo last week certainly that's exactly what he's done here is building building off of that well it reads your confidence and you're able to set those micro goals right okay so like one week ago when we talked to the Kawasaki rider Justin Hill said his goal was to get a pit with backed it up with the seventh moto2 so then okay well now I've gotten a fist and now what am I gonna do now I want a fourth or a third or whatever so you don't just go out your first race and say I want to win even though he like coming in data typically how it's done is you keep setting those little small goals to eventually get yourself up to the front so it's been a few years since Tomac had won that opening round and had a real drought but now here and what is going to be his final year in this class things are really starting to come together he's benefited greatly by by winning two Moto's but and then also this mode of benefitting by the championship points leader Ken boxing going down in that nasty crash so with this photo he was one point down could put him 24 points up after this moto that's a big swing yeah and not a ton of time for Watson to make that ground back up they're all maybe seven more moto after this once you take the checkered flag a moto wanted milled will be back by the way it load up to in just over an hour's time on the NBC Sports Network right after this you can switch over to NBC and walk to the second 450 moto one more time around sure Eli Tomac working on a third straight moto victory in his Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Eli just seems to be in such a good place right now right was seen him at dinner last night just happy smiling really carefree and you're that way with your confident when you know that you done all the work that you can do and that your preparation is where it needs to be when you've left no stone unturned what's interesting is this training session throughout the rest of the season might be a little easier than normal because of dad having that injury not gonna push him on the mount by quite so hard he could collapse a little bit baby spawns incredible healing powers have to be noted we had some fun last week we saw John with a pair of cast a broken elbow and a broken thumb one week later we see him at dinner last night Casa Gong he's healed already he healed in seven days okay napping nine days I think it's what it was but that's John Tomac for you one of the all-time legends maybe the greatest of all time and mountain bike racing his son Eli and John have worked together this program it's all starting to pay off it's real part of what they have going on great family unit here you know and they they stay focused they stay quiet don't make a lot of doors no bad press ever would belie we've had some ups and downs in this championship over the last couple years but it's great to see it coming together for him right now yeah absolutely we mentioned all the things he's dealing with win this championship began contract negotiations the rough loss of the Supercross Championship it's all behind him now GEICO's got this guy locked up the next couple years and that's a pretty smart move because he's one heck of a rider Eli Tomac wins moto 1 here at Spring Creek how about this it's not a victory but it's still a darn impressive Jeremy Martin finishes second and what is yes literally I've got it used to word literally his home race and that's right here I love it it's home x1 in Colorado round 2 and we said that was his home race he lives seven hours on that track was just his home state Martin's gonna be happy for sure and also Jason Anderson's just see him back there the number 21 takes his first podium finish of the year outdoors on the Rockstar Energy Drink machine so he's got to be happy as well so we'll have a bunch of riders pumped up in the 10th when we come back to talk them right after this break we're back here at Spring Creek great first moto completed in both the 450 class and the 250 class want to mention you can catch an all-new USC tonight's to visual source of news and information on the USC with host Chael Sonnen and kenny florian that's Tuesday at 10:00 Eastern powered by Ram trucks only on FUEL TV now let's give you the race recap of this 250 motor we just finished Ken Roczen going to the lead against will hanaman disaster strikes I'm not sure what happened the front wheel crossed a little bit but he goes down hard he gets pitch off of the Red Bull KTM he would not finish this moto therefore he would give up the point's lead and Jeremy Martin at his home track takes the lead then from on and the crowd explodes at Spring Creek that was a very popular pass and Martin was out front trying to hold off Eli Tomac here but Tomac on the gas just too strong too fast goes around the outside an aggressive move Tomac takes the lead and from there Tomac able to pull away solid ride for Martin though to finish second the width the crash from Roxon Tomac is going to take this series points lead as well show the results from this one Martinez mentions second Anderson third loose cannon the bad shoulder in all fourth Bogle another solid run fifth bagging through traffic for sixth Hill seventh on eight since rillo just inside the top ten and we have Kelly back down to the racetrack Kelly well it's three moto wins in a row now for Eli Tomac but Eli you didn't exactly make it easy on yourself you ready to work your way from the back of the pack again how did you make all the moves to get to the front yeah it was a disappointing start you know this this gates really sandy here so I think gate prep is really important I think we might have jacked up a little bit but anyway hey you got to make it happen when you got to make it happen and I went I was shuffle back there the first few laps made my way through found some better lines and the rollers in the back section which helped me and then this road to the front Jeremy was riding the awesome race I was like man I might have to settle for a second but I made a last push and made it happen so you know just will come out swinging here in moto 2 you took maximum advantage of the fact that Ken Roczen fell and it was out of the motor at what point did you know he was out of that race I I did end up seeing kin down there never want to see a guy down like that so it's definitely a bummer you know you know you know we're both battling right now for the series title so you know hopefully you know we'll go out there and battle again second moto all right congratulations Thanks so think certainly shaking up the championship Tomac rolling ten rocks and just hoping to bounce back and score some points in moto 2 later today [Music] we're back very short break between our first and second moto is our second 450 moto coming up at the top of the hour on NBC but we're gonna put a cap on this 250 class set it back down to Kelly with our runner up and we know how badly Jeremy Martin wanted that win you were so close to how cool to lead a moto here and wind up on the podium on your home track yeah it was a great feeling you know I told Mack was coming and he's just a machine just kept going and going and going and inching in on me I tried as hard as I could and you know it was great it was a great moto just to be able to come out second have you ever experienced this track under these weather conditions uh you know I've raced here a few times while it's raining so it's not the new to me but you know when I was out there and I just passed will for the lead I couldn't believe how loud the crowd is cheering for me it's probably one of the coolest moments of my life great effort out there thank you alright and we'll be racing shortly again here on Fuel TV the built Ford Tough Unadilla national will be here live on August 10th at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time that's the legendary track up in upstate New York let's send it back down to Kelly with our third-place finisher Jason Anderson has come so close so many times before what does it mean to you to get the first podium of the season yeah it's good I feel like I've had it in me I just needed to get a start and my rock star energy racing bike put me out there and you know I'm just happy I finally was out there riding like myself and no accident so the sick trikes a bit different from what most people are used to a little bit harder what did you learn in moto one that can help you in the next round definitely it's hard to pass out there but you know just to start and just trying to ride your own race and those whoops are grueling out there you know the bottoms are a pretty square edge so you got to not swap out and just try and stay on two wheels and ride fast Jason and we're gonna take you through this Ken rocks and crashing flies watch right here it looks like them just the front wheel locked up real quick somehow take a look right here doesn't look like bike was really straight it looked like the front wheels started to push and then it just hooked on him and just such a fast section taking always he watch right here the front will go sideways and and that's the section where the bike is tracking really straight so that was the odd crash not sure exactly why that happened but you can see just how vicious of a crash this was for Ken Roczen it shows it how close these guys heart of the edge every time they get through these sections usually quite easily but they're not far away from disaster anytime here's your upcoming schedule only three races remain after today in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Attila and the first ever built Ford Tough Utah national in Salt Lake City Miller Motorsports Park and then Lake Elsinore in Southern California will wrap it up on August 24th well we were wondering what was going to happen as far as this a 2v2 title chase has certainly been shaken up another rider now starting to move forward and points a good solid run let's send it back down to Kelly another solid effort here from Marvin was scan just misses that on the podium but Marvin we know you're still recovering a bit from that crash how tough was it to sort of muscle through within your neck back in shoulder aches well it's actually not too bad but yeah if you for sure I feel a little bit a little bit tired I mean today because of my crash I hit my head my shoulder and stuff but you know I brought my cure back to dr. G and he helped a lot it helped me a lot yesterday and this morning we try our best and I got a really good start I'm happy about that but drugs really really tough I mean was the rollers over there at the same section it's a really technical but uh I mean I wish I could do better you know I mean can he crash you know I was the opportunity to do better than that I used to do but you know those guys are doing really good and Anderson was pushing Martin was was leading and then he did a good race I mean I don't want to I don't want to be behind those guys but you know I just want to try to do a better second moto and and be happy with this weekend considering mymy crash Thank You Marvin and turning to our fifth place finisher Justin Bogle put it together a solid weekend at Washougal you're off to a good start here what will be the key to backing up moto - with another successful Mota one with another successful motor - um you know just get starts you know I've last three three Moto's I've got off to good starts and put myself in a good position so not having to deal with all the funky stuff in the back is definitely a plus so Geico Honda got me off to a great start once again my boy will Hahn pulled the pulled the holy once again it's getting a little frustrating I think it needs a you know chill out on that but no it's cool so good to get up here and I just need to you know put myself in position for a second moto thanks Justin they've got a great atmosphere into that Geico tent Bogle and Hahn are just a riot to hang out with off of the track even and obviously with Tomac winning team getting up on the podium all these whole shots things are looking good right now yeah it's gonna be a battle there with the mechanics the gate prep all of that the engine guy has been dialing it in building the horsepower into those things we'll see if Roxy get bounced back at moto 2 which will take place in about an hour on the NBC Sports Network though be sure to switch over to NBC for our second 450 motor we hope it's as good as the first one which was a farm owner foretelling snap it's and Jeff Emig I'm Jason Morgan thanks for joining us here on Fuel TV congratulations to our moto winners Eli Tomac in James Stewart you our 450 class in Minnesota is complete the fans are excited about that racing but an even better battle is coming your way in the 250s [Music] [Music] Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac are rivals this winter Roxann edge Tomac for the 250 Supercross West title by a mere 5 points and this summer it has been Watson and Tomac again in a battle for supremacy in the 250 class the Red Bull KTM rider has the point's lead by the slimmest of margins over the Keiko Honda rider there are eight Moto's left in the season and four short rounds we decide the championship Roxon and Tomac Tomac and rocks in the rivals take to the track for Moto 2 right now [Applause] [Music] we're live at the NBC Sports Network for round nine in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship sanctioned by MA Pro Racing it's the Red Bull Spring Creek national from Millville Minnesota hello everyone Jason Wygant joined by three-time pro motocross champion Jeff Emig we are ready for our second 250 moto of the day here in Millville it was a wild first moto we're going to show you the highlights of it this took place just over an hour ago gate dropped 40 of the fastest 250 moto cross riders in the world come firing down and it was Geico Honda's will on number 19 with the hole shot followed by Yamaha Jeremy Martin and Martin his parents owned this racetrack and he lives right here in the property they were fired up about the good start then Ken Roczen makes a move to the front and goes down hard goes down really hard the front end twitches on him in one of the fastest sections of the track he hit his chassés it's hard to breathe he is gonna make a go of it for Moto 2 yeah your points leader though gave up a ton of points Martin would eventually go for the number one spot once Roxon was down he was up the second again and here he is getting to the inside of Han to take the lead one of the best spectator areas on the track Martin takes the lead the crowd erupted but Eli Tomac was on the move Tomac started this one in about ten just unstoppable as he raged through traffic rain coming down he didn't care he takes the lead from Martin still a great ride for the hometown kid but right now he lied Tomac is just too strong too fast for anyone to stop in this class he won two races the last time out in Washington State he wins the first one today here in Minnesota and he'll try to do it again Erez moto 2 is coming your way here your results Martin does have a shot at the overall win we will combine the results from this first race and the results of moto 2 upcoming determine your weekends champion Jason Anderson his first podium of the year solid third and earlier Kelly stavis had a chance to talk to our first moto winner Eli Tomac well with the Mota one when eli tomac takes over in the championship standings in the 250 class Eli does it feel any different to now be the guy at the top of the charts you know I mean it yeah it does it's nice to be in the lead now but still gotta get the job done we got to go out here in the second moto get a get a little bit better start try to get to the front a little more early and just make life a little bit easier there's a lot of guys riding well out here today including a Jeremy Martin the local boy so you know it's good fun battling and you know I'm just I'm missing a good spot I know thanks Eli certainly is but they're going to take it to him here in this second moto that's coming your way and man we've already had three Moto's complete to 450 races and a 250 race fans have certainly been treated to some action more upcoming we're back to the Red Bull Spring Creek National Millville Minnesota we're ready to go racing live here the NBC Sports Network but first let's show you the track Millville is definitely one of the riders favorites Jeff Emig tickets for life all right this is the riders view the Kawasaki arrow gets the motorcycle superstore calm holeshot come down the fast section this is where Roxon are points that are crashed in moto 1 a couple of jumps get into the Millville sandwich these are gonna be deep they're gonna be rough they're gonna be nasty here the most challenging time of the day here the last moto for our 250 class got to do it all over again there's two sets up and down up over the big tabletop a triple up the hill gonna make a left chute down this turn is going to be really tricky getting over this single then up over this rutted redbull devil it's gonna be one of the toughest sections for the 250s here in this final moto then you're going to come down a really rough section here big drop-off section of turns here we can get on the edge of the tire get a double jump they've straighten this section out a little bit you're gonna head straight up the hill make a left at the top come down make a right head down a lucas oil finish line jump and that is your last lap that millville and we'll show you what it's like on board here Jason Anderson this is the start of moto 1 on the Rockstar Energy racing machine our GoPro Hero can dare you see just a Bogle 34 Martin on the blue Yamaha and will haunt out front see how the outside kind of sweeps around looked like he had a good start then the outside carried a lot of momentum he goes for the option right here as moose can goes by it's gonna put him back to fifth and look how much the bike jumps around and remember the rider and also the helmet they're buffering how much movement there actually is the camera stays still as the rest of the bikes jumping around see Kid Rock's and sneaking around the outside there damn what's the hit on but also Sealy there mostly goes by great section here trying to get through these sand books this first time that's for the two good looks smokey understand their third in moto one so much competition here in this division here motorcycle superstore calm holeshot rules will hand out $15,000 at the end of the year for the 250 rider that gets the most hole shot points you get them by crossing through this scaffolding out of the first turn first you get points for that Ken Roczen is back he's going to give it a shot here in moto 2 this was a brutal crash yeah you know that you know he's sore after this watch the front wheel everything straight it looks great then all of a sudden a little twitch right there and the front wheel turns to the right it hooks and pitches him over the front of the bike that is a really really fast section where you carry your momentum Wow okay we are ready to go I don't know if Roxon really is he's on the gate he's gonna give it a shot we talked to him what with Kelly 20 minutes after that crash and he still sounded pretty shaken up yeah he could barely take a deep breath ride like a full breath and that's gonna that's gonna be tough for him here in moto 2 but championships not over he's gonna go out there try to get the most amount of points and you never know after 12 rounds twenty four Moto's how it all shakes down so many things to follow not only that championship fight but how about the home track favorite Jeremy Martin's second in moto one if he wins moto two he will be your overall winner on the day on the number 77 he has certainly one to watch here in this race and you see the 37 his brother Alex he was 13th in moto number one let's go racing here from new [Music] [Applause] and it's will Han again dominating the starts this year another motorcycle superstore calm holeshot for him Blake back into the number one and Martin are right there and look at his Ken Roczen who wants your points leader coming into today is that him in fifth place right now I think so but loose cannon Bogle in the 94 there he is he just got passed by Bogle well what's great for a rider like rocks and you would have that parades laughs to kind of loosen up and see how he feels on the bike but he's out deaf paddling where is moto one winner Eli Tomac he's apparently buried right now so it's Baggett go to try to put the pressure on even six that moto areas right there middle of your screen mid pack start for Tomac a lot of ground to make up this could shake up the overall but we're gonna hold off on discussing that and just look at this battle for the lead hon let a couple of some moto number one trying to lead their photo to but he's got baggage Martin and moose Stan down to the inside makes the pass on Martin and rocks it's gonna try to get him as well rocks it gets them both let's see Oh three riders coming into the turn rocks in gets around the outside a lot of English there's you scrubbing that tabletop it's Chris just amazing what riders like Ken Roczen his teammate Marvin who scans both riding injured yep the ability that you have is a pro athlete when it's time to do your job it's like you just shut that off the pain you just block it out you'll focus straight on-the-job worry about recovery and all that stuff later and go out there and ride the motorcycle Blake bagging your reigning champion he's been doing the same thing all season with a broken wrist right wrist that he's been trying to recover from it's good analysis from a guy who once broke his thumb here in practice and then went out the blood [ __ ] live it up it was mr. Jeff Emig he didn't even know it whoa bagging a big mistake of that finish line chump now trying to go back after Hahn on the beginning a lap - I mean Hansa rider that's recovering from an injury also first week of May broke his hand trying to ride himself into shape the great thing for Hahn is he is so good off of the start it's unbelievable the start he is now ahead in those hole shot standings by a large margin Rock Singh up to third closing in on Baggett thanks moose can I am really impressed all looking back at Hill and see if he carries this momentum for the outside odd makes a little mistake baggage got him and he's into the number one spot six the first moto now he takes the lead this class even though Tomac went both Moto's last week yes class is so competitive coming to the end of lap one it's shaken up enough where you can't even count out baggage with a sixth and a first have potentially winning the overall Roxon goes by he's in the second what a performance from Ken Roczen he is pattered he is bruised but he's not broken he wants to follow back improve traffic and he's up to the number two position and when the championship is in play it's it's really amazing as a pro athlete the things the the mindset and what you will do to achieve that what you will put your body through it's pretty awesome seeing rocks and I did not think you would be able to perform at this level now it looks like he's catching Baggett possibly I mean he's going after the Moto win yeah what a rebound that would be we were just wondering if he could race at all it is inconceivable that he would potentially win the race or maybe even make some points back up on Tomac but it's very early pharisee that's a Geico countdown clock top of the screen we have 26 minutes and then we'll have two laps to go and after that so we'll see how long rocks it to block out the pain coming across the stripe here looks like Tomac has worked his way up to eight he is now your championship points leader after that win at moto one and roxxon's D&F and crash in this very same section then I can look over his shoulder in the Sam booth it's good to have some awareness know what's going on but now now that you know that it's Roxon back there it's time to really focus on your own ride concentrate and try to pull away try to put it in the best laps you can try to hit every mark just perfectly keep your momentum get your gear shifts at the perfect time in the rpm range and you see a deep pack back behind them F 4 through 10 and somewhere in the middle of that is Tomac he is eighth and only seven seconds behind Baggett that's the beauty of this tube that last attack is so close even if your ass up top five and you're not completely out of reach of the lead that's exactly what Tomac was able to take advantage of a moto one yeah the Minnesota fans would be happy to know Jeremy Martin he's in sixth right now his older brother alex is running 16 but Tomac got him Tomac has gone around Martin that'll put him the seventh part back to eight that it's Anderson so strong in moto one a third but Tomac trying to go around it oh and I think he's got it once again that's the same spot that Tomac used to pass Martin to take the lead and eventually a win in moto 1 I'm interested to see how Jeremy Martin on the Yamaha was going to respond now if he's you know hold on to that pace of Tomac if that inspires him to pick up the pace remember 21 here Jason Anderson he was third in moto one so all three riders that were in the top three are grouped together now in moto 2 how about Baggett 1 moto wins so far this year for your defending Series champion he has been fighting through a badly broken right wrist it's healed he doesn't have all his range of motion back he's just trying to get this one done with old-fashioned great [Music] two things have changed out here at Millville first the clouds have opened and it is raining and second Ken Roczen seems to enjoy those weather conditions because the moment the rain started he closed the cap back up on Flint baguette and we have got a battle for the lead and one we did not expect Ken Roczen what a performance considering the huge crash earlier today yeah I definitely did not expect that one thing I noticed the Blake Baggett has been pulling tear offs can get constantly I noticed Ken rocks and he's using the roll-off system where you'll have upwards of a hundred poles of clear film that goes across your goggle tear offs are the complete space of the goggle but you may only have 2025 chances to clear your vision and it seemed like Baggett pulled seven or eight in the midst of that lack final there lap we just completed and now locks instead of trying to complete the pass for the lead and he does ten Roxon unbelievable grit and determination to take the spot from Baggett as bad as Roxon looked like he was bruised having trouble breathing after that massive crash at moto 1 for him to come back and to be in the position and now to battle and take the lead from the reigning champion look at there now go it's just ultimate adrenaline his desire to be champion he's a former world motocross champion on a 250 he has not accomplished that championship here in the US in AMA racing and Lucas old pro motocross championship this is unreal out of kin Roxon all right take us through this Jeff all right so comes around just gets a nice line now watch the drive he's gonna get right here scrubs that double doesn't look like Baggett was really had too much intensity right there to fight back back it had been looking back over his shoulder at Rockson constantly to see where he was at let's see if Baggett has any response for this well I think Baggett's picked it up but guess who is now lurking in the number three position Eli Tomac is up to third and he might make it a three rider battle before this one is over Jason there's no doubt about it right there the top right of your screen Eli Tomac dominant in moto 1 won both Moto's one week ago he is your your points leader at the moment he has been so strong lately the this is going to be a big moment for both of our championship contenders along with the reigning champion who's now in the middle of them but it's going to be interesting to see what sort of fight Roxon has if Tomac is able to fly himself up to the back of his bike City event points Tomac for the overall he pretty much has that thing tucked away but I doubt he cares he wants to finish in front of Watson in this race and make up more points and here he comes about two seconds faster the last time around than your leaders will back it at one point had turned to 157 last lap around Tomac was fastest with the 158 let's see as they come by 158 159 and Tomac a 158 so now it's three second between first and third [Applause] baguette all over rocks and this battle is not over I'm not sure what happened to baguette when the rain started he had a bad maybe two laps he has recovered go back after it Jason's do what a champion does I mean he's got that number one plate for a reason and he's he's digging deep he's trying everything he can the motor win is right there in front of him okay and he knows that there's some urgency to make this happen right there playing the championship spoiler doubt that gets some 60 points behind Tomac and rocks him in the series I don't think he's got a shot at defending that number one plate but he would love to stick his nose in there steal points wins Moto's from them [Music] Roxton digging deep bagging and Tomac doing the same we've got a great race on our hands at Spring Creek battle-ax zone not just for the lead that's Ken Watson of 94 but Eli Tomac has caught Blake Baggett for a second and once Tomac gets you the way he's been riding lately he's awfully tough to stop while he is carrying so much momentum right now working the Honda left right doesn't matter or looking the drive he's got now next to baguette baguette looks over at him it's a drag race up the hill Tomac was underneath him scrubbing those jumps he goes to the outside and he's got the second place spot although back it's gonna try to square it up can't find a line Tomac on a roll again man it is so awesome to see a rider ride like with that type of flow right here look at this he over jumps it a little bit but keeps his momentum going Baggett had the opportunity if he wanted he could have took him wide but he didn't and now we have Tomac see what happened here this is Baggett and he's lost a bunch of grounds the last trip through the woops well here we go this is rocks in your leader Tomac has caught him and Toma how slices his way to the lead Wow takes an inside line takes number one the number one spot from Ken Roczen that only took half of a lap in the length of time we had the replay of the past for second Tomac was right in front of Roxon now you gotta give Roxon a little bit of credit obviously he's riding less than a hundred percent after that crash he's just trying to minimize the damage he's trying to hang with Tomac here time running out in this one I could point out see the Geico countdown clock top of the screen 15 minutes you can say 15% or more on your car or motorcycle insurance we are within 15 minutes of the finish to this one 11 minutes and then two laps and Tomac might have his second straight 1-1 well Tomac has Eli Tomac has always been a rider that has been known for being physically fit and who trains extremely hard is extremely focused spends a lot of time working on his technique and it shows here the way that he's riding with the type of intensity the way that he's working the bike just manhandling the bike it takes a lot of energy it takes a lot of strength to do that now it's it's interesting to see how Ken Roczen will respond and if he can up his intensity up his game here because this is championship points between the two of them it looks like he has he's trying to hang with Tomac Tomac just so strong the last couple weeks is not going to easy for oxen to get him back now here's something shocking Eli Tomac won his first Pro race it was our season opener Hangtown all the way back in 2010 by virtue of winning that race he held the point's lead going into round two three years ago and you'll see a shot here of him at that second round that season a free stone in Texas running the red plate he'd actually tied on points of the day with christophe pourcel so they both ran the red clay the heat humidity at Texas got the Tomac in a bad race he relinquished the point's lead to herself he has never had the red plate again until today it appears he will finally get it back three years later Tomac is going to be the points leader for the second time in his career he did it in one day first time around this time it has taken a long climb and you see the gap he would leave here with a 27-point lead over Tomac it ends like this that's a good day going from one point down closing in on the championship points lead and then two to leave 27 points up they got a little lucky Ken Roczen had a big mistake through this section right through here in moto crashed hard E&M but look at Roxon yeah not letting Tomac go trying to put the pressure on because you just never know in the sport of motocross so much can happen and unless you're trying unless you're out there just giving it everything you have to be in the into place to take advantage of someone else's mistake then you you know just no way to make up those points but rocks an outstanding right here also in moto 2 ten minutes and two laps remain in this one and Roxon is doing everything he can to keep the heat on Tomac [Music] for the fans that are definitely sufficient it goes on not my sharks though I don't then here's the shark of the 250 class eli tomac too bad starts today but she knew he was lurking back there he did his damage now we have six minutes and two laps to go in this moto he has a 4.3 second lead over Ken Roczen you gotta get Robson credit even when Tomac got the lead from him he hung with him for about four laps and I think that's all Roxon has he took a big hit in that first moto maybe that's catching up to there yeah you got a wonder just how rocks with the bodies feeling at this point especially when he was having trouble breathing bruised his chest took a really hard fall he's only 4.3 seconds off of the of the lead right now but the big thing is just the damage in the overall points for the championship it's been a really bad day for him but a great recovery even if he finishes in second this moto Blake Baggett got a couple of laps led in today but the intensity the two championship challengers eventually overwhelmed him he's third then it's moose can't here on the number 25 and fourth he is also dealing with some injuries crashed on press day here on Thursday the cameras what happened new scan would end up second overall it's a tie between he and Anderson off points tiebreaker goes to the better second moto finished so Anderson is still digging down he would like of course to finish second rather than third either way it would be his first overall podium of of the season and they're pretty close right now in fourth and fifth so that could change before it's over Vogel would be next in line he's six minutes on Martin Osborn and when rounding out the top ten still see a little bit of rain coming down that's gonna riders going through the roll-off system to tear offs quite a bit right now you really have to conserve those tear offs if you you know you have to have a count know how much how many tariffs you have under your goggles make them last over him got some serious momentum here for Justin Bogle couple of course last week fit the Moto won six here in this [Music] then you saw Han and I believe Martin battling yeah there's Martin in the 77 here is Han he had your whole shot in this one again contractile ease showed you just pick a replay from any dart motor you want this year he's gotten so many of them here it is in the second motor today yeah but look at 175 Webb on the outside of the Yamaha oh he was in there but had nowhere to go on getting a bunch of starts today they are both used leaders in the motorcycle superstore holeshot standings Han a gigantic lead over everyone else in this and since Han entered the championship four rounds late due to injury he told me of course it's going for the holeshot money it's one of the few things he has left to shoot for $25,000 his teammate Eli Tomac he has the big prize with in his sights now the championship it's gonna leave here with potentially a 24 for sorry 27 point lead over Ken Roczen although Tomac knows full well same thing that happened to Roxy 101 which certainly happened to Tomac over the final six Moto's of the year or even late in this one that's the way motor sports work battle here between the rookie teammates since really hill that is for eleventh and twelfth wheel the wheel on the hill is going to make the pass on sincero and about ten seconds behind them as their veteran teammate Martin Davalos so3 Kawasaki is 11th 12th and 13th seen Cerullo comes back down to the inside on Hill makes the pass so that's 11th again yeah it's being at Brands Kawasaki has 12 wins here Suzuki and Honda both tied for second was seventh Yamaha has three and KTM won overall here in the 250 class at Spring Creek you know Yamaha has not won how long the overall this class since their own Jeff Emig 20 years ago so happy Anniversary Frome we were wondering if Jeremy Martin could make be delivered today at that second in the first moto as we watched this battle between since Rolo and Hill unfortunately Martin back in eighth I don't think the dry spell for Yamaha at this track is gonna end this is unbelievable between the rookie teammates yeah this is a great battle and you notice they're having it do this as they work their way through traffic 3:53 Pam there I'm sorry camp 23rd get some photographers out here they can handle the poster shoot for next year cut back in amount of photos they need to buy because they're all in the same shot it looks like Hill has finally secured the position who seems Cerullo here one minute and two laps left in this moto Gayle walking down 11th Tomac now a seven and a half second lead over rocks in looking for four straight moto wins [Music] make sure to check out racer TVs coverage of grand national cross-country racing from Mason town West Virgina that's coming up in a couple of weeks August 10th right here on the NBC Sports Network that's three hours of racing through the rocks and trees and hills of West Virginia gets it down to a 30-minute show here are the NBC Sports Network here is Eli Tomac two to go looking for four straight moto wins is a nice solid lead over Ken Roczen in this one Jeff you set a time and time again this 250 class you even been through it yourself in your own career the second half of the year often one of these young riders finally puts all the puzzle pieces together it starts to go on a charge Eli Tomac is the candidate to do it this year it appears to be that way he's won the last three Moto's on his way to make it four making it four straight that's momentum that's what you have to do to win this championship I've been really proud here of Ken Roczen horse we talked about it this massive crash in moto one while he was chasing down the leader watched this comes down behind will Hahn front wheel tucks ever so slightly he gets ejected off hits his chest hits his back hits his head doesn't finish the Moto was doubtful if he wouldn't even be able to ride the second moto one more look at it watch how quick this happened once the handlebars hit him in the chest right here Wow right side and handlebars hit him in the chest then he lands on his back so he's got a front back gets up was definitely a bit dazed at one point was leading moto two unbelievable yeah and so it's gonna be disappointing to give up the points in moto one it's gonna be disappointing to not win this moto give up another three points to Tomac and overall on the day had a one-point lead coming in so he's going to give up their points in the championship but that aside this moto 2 has been a really great ride for him what a way to rebound on such a devastating day let's check back in on the hometown kid Jeremy Martin 77 we will have a multiple play tie if Martin can get around will Hahn and take over seventh a three-way tie in points for second overall today moose Ken Anderson and Martin moose ken has the better second moto finish and that would be the tiebreaker so Martin continued into battle no changes in the top five Baggett still third loose cannon Anderson still battling fourth and fifth not quite the same fire out of Martin here in this second moto after finishing second in moto number one but again he's a rookie Pro he's gonna have many many more years to try to get the overall victory here at his home track but today the man who wrote it like it was his own backyard is he live Tomac you just having the flow he works hard at his craft here drain lard Geico hard that definitely has taken that that top position in this class their team is the dominant their bikes have been outstanding this year riders like will Han Bogle have been great off the start Tomac has been able to finish it off and take the wins these guys are still going out on the last lap Han and Martin and Martin trying to let the inside got it Wow yes sir this is going to change up two points for the overall I mean for the podium I should say I think due to the tiebreaker mousse cam will still have second overall they'll be all tied up points but he is running ahead of him in the second moto as a tiebreaker he made that pass right past his house that's where Parton's house is off yeah said early in his backyard yes literally inspection I'm a pest I like that okay Tomac looking to put the finishing touches on another one one day and a huge gain of points we talked about it we showed you the clips it has been over three years since Tomac has held the point's lead in this championship that doesn't matter as long as you hold it at the end of the year and he takes a big step toward doing it winning the overall here at Millville gonna have hold the red plate yeah go ahead Geico Honda gonna have the red plate maybe the first time watching won't have it this year Roxton won the openers have the point's lead since good ride for Jeremy Martin second in moto 1 battling to try to get an overall podium I think he might just get edged out by moose Canada Anderson will crunch the numbers once this one is over fans are happy either way though he put on a great run [Music] the Martin brothers Alexson 16th right now Alex by the way is bouncing back from a concussion mr. Reysol I'll shoot oh I don't think he's quite on 2% both I'm gonna finish solid runs today well done for Jeremy Martin at his home track I know his dad John two former a factory rider in the off-road ranks gonna be happy with his boys performance today but nobody happier than the folks in the crew of Eli Tomac who has today's victory back at Spring Creek it's the Red Bull national and fans have gathered on the podium we've just completed our second 250 moto of the day we're going to show you our Lucas Oil race recap great start for will Hahn what else is new Blake Baggett on the number 1 takes the lead from him now watch this momentum from the outside bounces over that last one Rainey champ takes the lead then it started to rain and that seemed to slow back it a bit and put a little spring in the step of Kent Roxon whoever surprised could even race this event after a big crash earlier in the day here he is taking the lead the rocks and out front Tomac buried in mid pack off the start but he was working his way forward here gets up to Roxon in second two slices to the inside takes the lead from rocks and Roxon held on for a while kept the wheel for a little while but Tomac was not to be denied again just too fast too strong down the stretch Tomac wins its fourth straight Moto's second straight race of him sweeping it let's give her the results here of his second moto Baggett hangs on for a third moose can Anderson and Jeremy Martin were having a battle for the podium Baggett in that mix as well straighten it out just a second Osborne and Webb end up ninth and 10th in Webb almost had that hole shot off the track Hill wins that battle was since thrill of his teammate for a lemon there's the rest of the top 20 there's Alex Martin another home track for him 16th let's send it down now to Kelly with our winner Eli Tomac sweeps the Moto's here at Millville and you will get that red number plate back for the first time since 2010 how sweet does that sound it's gonna be awesome lot you know I'll be I'll be proud to run it at Unadilla I think that's our next round so awesome this day was other than my starts to struggle a little bit but I was having so much fun out there that didn't even matter because I think this track has really liked my track at home so I was super comfortable all day bike was working great you know I can't thank my team enough just for the keep my bike together and just staying there you know behind me you know week in week out and have a great day for motor wins in a row and no matter if you get a good starter a bad start you seem to finish in commanding fashion is this as confident as you've ever been yeah I mean that's just every time you want to race confidence just rolls and builds and that's this part of competition so you just got to keep it going we talked about you and Ken you're both moving up to the 450 classics there's there extra motivation to get this title before you move up to the bigger class yeah I mean I definitely want to get a 250cc title outdoors so that's what we're shooting for and you know I think well we're good shot at congratulations Eli well done there for Eli and let's try to carry that here's the pass for the lead Jeff watch right here Eli on the gas did not hesitate one bit takes the lead from Roxon only a problem Tomac you're actually gonna have a little time off in this series most of the industry is going to focus on the amateur finals at Loretta Lynn's next weekend so Tomac will have to try to carry this through a break here's your overall today look how close that was moose can Anderson Martin tie for second the second moto tiebreaker goes to moose can and that'll pump Baggett all the way back to fifth one point off of second place that is close Rockson salvages 9th overall despite that huge crash yeah it's not often you get a pair of forest give you a second overall that's we'll have to ask more in about that Kelly's down with him and another cell a day for Marvin musk and it's good enough for a second overall Marvin are you comfortable with where you're at or do you want to be back up here pushing for moto wins nah for sure I mean the guys to win second overall but I mean I don't care I take it it was a really rough day and I'm so sore right now I mean my body for from the crash on Thursday here at malevolent Wednesday but I mean like I said earlier I mean I brought dr. gira the chiropractor and I mean you know I tried everything to do and to get better and to tribute to the good race today and then I mean ended up pretty good still good for the championship to I mean I'm standing third and I mean I want to thank that the team replica team team and everybody around me my wife and Franky my mechanic Delta G and and everyone in France watching me and supporting me and thanks everyone I know that you're so recovering from that crash if you get healthy for the weeks to come what else do you need to do to be pushing up here with the top guys obviously I mean I was risking his cannon alight at the beginning of the model and they were they were faster and the Tri chug was really good but but rough and physical but I mean I tried I tried my best and I feel like I was consistent all morrow but obviously I need I need more intensity and a little bit faster to battle with these guys and but uh yeah it's tough I mean I try my best and now we have a weekend off it's pretty it's good for my body and my my shoulder and then tried to ended up the championship like I'm doing on the podium and then take some rest Thank You Marvin yeah show you the point standings here the big shake-up there's Ken Roczen to the right he's been the point's lead all season long until now and that bad for his moto leads him with a big gap moose ken makes up a little bit of ground but he and baguette are basically gonna be title spoilers from here on out watch out Jason Anderson a good run today making a run at Zach Osborne for fifth and points let's send it down to Kelly with I'm sure a very sore Ken Roczen Ken Roczen comes out and really impressed everyone in moto 2 how deep did you have to dig to get back up there and get on the podium well you know that first moto we I had that big crash and um what's hurting a little bit I'm definitely gonna be sore tomorrow but uh had to try to make a good start from from far outside and actually did that and rode up front pretty good but I don't know I was just feeling tight and Eli is just you know holing out there at the moment but overall black weekend for me you know I guess I gotta make the best out of it the fans supported me very well the team and all my sponsors supporting me very good so uh you know just can't wait to be back home now work on a few things and you know come back swinging in the next race I think that's all I could do great effort Thank You Kenny yeah good news for him lead you have that weekend off I said that Tomac that might stop his momentum a little bit rocks and get some recovery time we'll have a highlight show this coming up in a few days we won't be back racing live until August the 10th that's the built Ford Tough Unadilla national live on fuel Sports Network and then a week after that we'll be in Salt Lake City for the built Ford Tough Utah National let's send it back down to Kelly with the hometown boy Jeremy Martin a solid day for you how good does it feel with all these fans out here supporting you it's a pretty cool feeling you know I've grown up here and everyone you know I see a lot of familiar faces out there and I'm just having a great time thanks Jeremy and Blake Baggett our defending champion you've led for a while but it looked like it soon as the rain hit maybe you're having an issue with visibility or something yeah I had to pull on my tear offs I got a little bit of water in there but I gave it up to a Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team who said everybody for helping me out Scott goggles Dunlop tires ash trick you know my mom my dad just everybody that's digging deep and will keep plugging away at it all right Thank You Blake and also Jason Anderson a fantastic day for this guy how will you reflect on Millville you know Millville is a sweet track and it's my first podium outdoor so I couldn't be any happier I'm just stoked to be up here my Rockstar Energy Racing buddy got me up here and just waxed it today so I'm so lots of competition in the 250 class as you see to the way the points turned out today for the overall podium Baggett moose can Anderson Martin practically tied for second overall but right now the star of the show is Eli Tomac does the weekend off change anything you think stop that momentum a little bit well no I don't think it's going to change anything freelite Tomac it is gonna be good for the riders that are injured and need to recover and need a little bit of time off for Eli it's it's gonna give him extra time to keep building this fitness as confidence want to remind you that all these riders are graduates of the Red Bull amateur national championship at riddling ranch and we will have live coverage two hours of out race next Saturday so
