'20 Habitat Flats DUCK OPENER!!! [Glory Days Ep. 32]

[Music] well duck season's finally here man you know we talk a lot about mother nature and she never leaves much doubt who's in charge two weeks four season major snow in the dakotas big big front tens of thousands of ducks here licking our chops i mean it's going to be the opener of all openers bring in the full moon and a week of 75 80 degree temps and they go on the night train the hunting still been been good but it certainly wasn't the opener that we were anticipating i mean shooting a lot of ducks prior to 8 30 and then a lot of ducks after three o'clock in the afternoon it's been a lot more of a grind than most years but we're still getting getting some really good hunting in and then you know you show up and and you get days where the wind's blowing 20 miles an hour shooting time and everybody's down by nine o'clock so i mean at the end of the day we can only control so much and what we have been able to control looks great water levels look good the habitat looks very very good the only thing that doesn't look great right now is the the weather and that's mother nature you can't control her [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] down [Music] [Applause] looking at the weather it uh i mean whether or not you can believe the extended forecast tonight i don't know but the extended forecast is showing nothing nothing drastic by any means kind of mid 50s to low 60s for highs and lows around 40 degrees i mean that's that's not great duck hunting weather by any means but uh hey it's still going to be duck season there's going to be a good front coming here at some point i like where we're at right now we're coming off the moon the moon's pretty well gone now so the ducks should start to fly a little bit better uh the ducks that are here but as far as any big any big migration events i don't see them coming in the next two weeks as long as the forecast holds the way it is right now i mean i like shooting the singles and the pears and seeing all that stuff but for me it's the bunches and i'm looking forward to a little bit better weather from mother nature and seeing those big bunches coming in [Music] so [Music] so [Applause] trump [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
