night and it's actually looking really nice with this blue hour light but there should be a really nice little test to see how it looks at night oh my God that is looking gorgeous there's just enough blue left in the sky that is really nice I just gotta put in my cable release which goes right here and I'm ready to shoot [Music] [Music] [Music] this is a really nice composition there's still like a subtle blue glow in the background and the light from the motels is super bright and it's really casting a nice glow on everything too all right [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] well made it to the sand dunes for Sunrise is looking pretty insane so far I have my very last roll of Kodak gold loaded up I have my flash on my Mia 7 I tried to take one picture with that already at the very first light but I'm gonna see what we find I feel like this is probably gonna be As Good As It Gets we've been hiking for like 30 maybe 25 minutes but the sun's definitely gonna rise so I want to be at a spot when that happens [Music] probably turn this off this could be pretty nice there's really like no foreground element here which is kind of unfortunate but I figured it was better to pick a spot than to keep walking and end up somewhere that had nothing at all even though the sun hasn't risen yet I'm probably still gonna take one just to see what this kind of light looks like Kodak gold and this is f11 at a half second right now all right foreign now just wait for the sun to rise I'm waiting with my shot lined up waiting for the light to hit and it's hitting over there not over there so I am feeling kind of dumb right now but that's just how it goes that's how photography goes now I just got to decide if I want to run over there or wait over here all right the running was worth it eye level with something like when you're slightly above it it just adds this really nice depth I think foreign gosh I gotta get this I really would love to get this mailbox out of focus which is a little bit hard right now because it's so bright out so I'm going to 500th of a shutter speed [Music] let's see [Music] [Music] yeah this tree is gorgeous foreign [Music] the lights fading quick now [Music] it's a beautiful tree [Music] foreign that could be really nice I love the the branch in the foreground there's really not a lot going on here so having that Branch I think adds a lot perfect [Music] amazing [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] nice pink gradient in the background can you see that it's like a blue pink Earth shadow thank you [Music] so nice [Music] we're walking to the car to go get the tripod hopefully do a little bit of long exposure stuff because right now the light is just too low I'm shooting at five six at 1 125th and that's on portrait 800 so I really want more depth than that in my photos so I think I need the tripod if I want to be shooting at like f11 or 16. all right there's like just the right amount of color left in the sky now that I'm back on the tripod I can really take my time there's a really nice gradient going on in the sky and I think the foreground light is perfect right now nice all right I think this composition here really has the best light it has that nice pink and blue contrast in the sky [Music] all right that's the one [Music] we found this beautiful glowing cross gonna try and shoot it the only Annoying Thing right now is there's some ambient lights on the house that are on which I really wish weren't on let's see dude I gotta get my handheld meter out for this one really quick whenever it gets this dark I really don't want to use the internal meter on the Mamiya 7 so I'm taking out the external meter here three two [Music] all right I think the better angle was over here for sure though [Music] thank
