Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Shame its not the twin turbo. I went in a TT 300z when I was a kid and It was the fastest thing I could remember back then.
The horsepower and torque numbers for the C4 are actually from an early C4 ZR1. The base C4 made 205, 245, 300, or 330 horsepower depending on the year, and in the 1996 model year, transmission.
It's been 20 years since I drove one, but I remember the z32 handling really well. Also, it's a beautiful shape and has aged amazingly well. I would love to have one... OK, time to browse craigslist all over the west coast for a couple hours!
Edit: fuuuck, 40k original miles in white but it's a godamn automatic: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/5713859406.html
Vette numbers are way off
The only C4 Corvette with 375hp was the Zr1. The model you showed b roll of was a pre facelift which had the L98 which was just 250hp with 300 torque.
very bad episode, i love this man, but so many wrong things said and very important things left out as well... come on regular.
The Z31 was, and still is, pretty ugly. The Z32 was, and still is, pretty good looking. I'm glad they changed it and didn't stay with the reptilian style of the Z31.

I honestly think this is my favorite line from an rcr video
Here's a 1990 comparison review of the corvette and the TT version of the nissan:

Nissan wins based on interior and intangibles. Performance numbers are basically tied. Within a couple years the corvette got the LT1 motor which would have put the performance numbers considerably up. Interior stayed about the same as that 90 car.
