legitimate chance to win well I think certainly Cu feels they've got an excellent opportunity have not fared very well here in Lincoln at seven and to Colorado could assure themselves of a place in the bowl should they win today the speculation that they don't get this victory they might find themselves at home in ball to do so a lot of pressure in the branch on the other hand can go to the Orange Bowl or get this game if they beat Oklahoma next Saturday it is very windy down on the field what effect will that have on Colorado's passing game which many people feel they have to throw the football that can still win I think that hurts to you if the wind really kicks up and it's been doing that the entire afternoon see you is gonna have to throw the football and they're gonna have to do it efficiently if they're going to beat Nebraska may not need a football camp they're overpowering offensively diamond upfront I think the win would be a fact really negative factor to see you Colorado coming in off one of the most impressive victories in the year at the road against Missouri a team that a couple weeks earlier plate in the breath get hit the head mute and no doubt about and Clark went over in Colorado has been shut out seven to nothing by seventh ranked Nebraska Colorado [Music] didn't play like it this afternoon this imagine what is going through his mind but he walked off the food well I'm sure he's you're living right now all those opportunities they had the storage and I too gave the football away or come up with give Nebraska credit for doing what they had to do win the game but but certainly I think the corner at colorado very fine football game with her [Music] [Music] you know we thought we maybe could have gotten one in here we fumbled but anyway a lot of credit their coaches and players and they've got a very fine football team will you team did a nice job on their third quarter Drive for your touchdown going north into the wind we did okay we're pleased to get out of the little win there's a swirling wind in the stadium affect the offensive play sometimes a little bit it's it really went down as the game went along that was good fortunate to get out anyway Nebraska wins at seven nothing will return to Lincoln in just a bit yards Colorado 290 yards Colorado 235 Nebraska's nemeth averaging over 500 yards a game Motul often they're held under 200 yards under Corbett seven points in somehow someway beep Colorado is the only store the football games day helping it in a 59-yard nine play drive and it really was an important driver obviously for the poor husbands they did a good job they took control of the football game again you want to stress it and anybody knows coming into today's contest of the nation's leading scoring club the team that averages over 46 points per game would be held at seven you think you have a pretty good chance to win but you simply cannot throw away opportunities to score that's a very good defense and that's basically what happened here today you saw Broderick Thomas waving to his fans one thing that hurt Colorado they will one pretend through the air that one a big third down catch by parish but when you can only complete one pass pretty tough to win a football well it is tough I think they were able to move the football somewhat on the ground maybe to the pleasant surprise to bill McCarty but you have to come up with big plays and you only get to so many opportunities in a game they had three or four opportunities in the first half maybe one in the second half didn't take advantage and give to the brass to credit for hanging in there and being able to come up with a very hard earned victory JJ Flanagan an excellent day and relief for the injured Erik the enemy the plan again 28 carries 137 yards but did you know you played here he'll be seen that one run forever if he was the head of the pack on his way to a touchdown and the ball came out of his arms couldn't tell if he tried to change hands or what but certainly he'll remember that one forever David's been a joy was a terrific Colorado effort so we'll talk to everybody a week from today as we go
