now it's football here on CBS Sports Network a quadruple header it begins here along the banks of the Hudson River where the Army Black Knights are sent to entertain the Bears of Morgan State Jeff pumpkins team a 14 game home winning streak the fourth longest in the FBS to take on oh and to Morgan State Sammy welcome you upstairs to our broadcast position so good to be with you a pleasure and an honor as always alongside Ross Tucker 7 years the NFL my name has been hold it and Ross let's backtrack a little bit before we get to today's game so two weeks ago Army had the entire college football world standing at attention when they took Michigan to the brink last week they were veteran team and he said they were not gonna let Michigan beat them twice but they still haven't played their best game yet it is about army it is about them getting better each and every week they got big goals still this year that's a big statement considering what they did to Michigan they have not played their best game a very very good point so let's get you caught up on one thing injury wise Calvin Hopkins he is dressed he's available if they need him Ross but after what we saw last week Jabari Laws he was breaking every law as a first-time starter he was awesome and they have a by next week so it makes sense to rest Hopkins a little bit more especially when you have a guy in laws that rush for a hundred and thirty seven yards in his first start two of the runs were over 30 yards he's probably the fastest quarterbacks that Jeff Monken has had here in his tenure head coach of the Black Knights he's a good one a speedy one indeed shift our attention to Morgan State their head coach in his first year former Michigan great Tyrone Wheatley ten years the National Football League so you would think and expect they're gonna bring some power one game but they also have a very talented wide receiver to look out for their receiving core is probably the best part of the team including Menasha Bailey they play James Madison the number two ranked FCS school in the country last week you see what he did he included there is a 72 yard touchdown he leads all of FCS division one football and yards per catch to win today Morgan State meets Bailey to make a couple big plays in the air they really do head coach Jeff Monken sixth year here in army 14 straight they won here on the home field at Mikey Stadium Tyrone Wheatley 1st time is a college head coach several stops in the National Football League and other college jobs was never a coordinator at any point but he's got the head coaching job now a Morgan State trying to resurrect their the cork announced as always they are full of energy beautiful West Point Saturday 77 a slight wind and it is perfect for college football here along the banks of the Hudson River Army will kick it away deep man back is Andrew Howell number 21 for more and sticks the ballgames underway [Applause] line and that's where he's dropped his Ross and I touched on the quarterback situation third member of our team eNOS Orazio has more on that hello Tina that's right a load they're been in Roswell senior quarterback Kelvin Hopkins junior has supported his back up Jabari lost so much so that before the season started he actually told us he could wait to see laws playing now that laws is playing he says that that support from Hopkins means so much to him he says Hopkins is like a big brother to him lost told me that he looks up to Hopkins of the way he holds himself goes about his business but also in practice Hopkins has been helping laws and we're gonna watch them on the sidelines as well Hopkins has been motivating him after good plays and also encouraging him after bad plays better well story outfits number 77 five-yard penalty first down Thank You Tina that's Marcus woods our referee today Noah Utley [Music] Liman moving there [Applause] not much there at all minimal gain if anything time to take a look now at our chick-fil-a starting lineups and we start with a quarterback 64 210 senior Ross out of Washington Georgia DeAndre Harris he has really rotated back and forth with DJ Golod but he was the hot hand last week against J mu neither one of those guys has really separate themselves football over 250 yards they keep the truck [Applause] as they come in and get after him in the backfield back at the 5-yard line for a beat-up bun sued yanked him down third down coming up there's a miscommunication I think heap is imposed to hand the football and actually looking at it again it was a run pass option but when he pulled the ball to try to throw the slant and look like Bailey was actually blocking so a miscommunication for Morgan State early and now it's third and forever third and 23 would be the forever they need to get to the 29 yard line to convert this third down attempt they put it in the hands of the fan and they get a little bit of breathing room I'm gonna bring on the punt group here on fourth down coming up a minute and a half into the game Eric Smith on the stop we gonna look at Morgan State we talked about Bailey who else catches your eyes amongst their offensive girl a true freshman tailback gibreel Johnson number 30 had a pretty good week last week against James Madison 50 yards on the ground caught the ball a couple times they're just impressed that is a true freshman he's able to play on all three downs Miranda back deep awaiting the punt of Nick O'Shea sophomore out of Detroit Michigan Monica West Bloomfield High School handles both their punting and the kicking duties and the ball is recovered at the 36 yard line Morgan State's got it this has been an issue yeah for the Black Knights so far this year balls security they have not done a great job there have been some critical interceptions some crucial fumbles and this time just goes right off Miranda's chest he was right there in position almost looked like he dropped his eyes you know what looking at a guess I think it went off of his teammate Caleb John first number six who was Blanc I'm with you on that Ross it certainly looked like it wow I didn't notice that live-action but that second angle Caleb John number six events in fact that was blocking for Miranda it bounced off in first deep taking a shot down there and they were looking downfield for woeful look at the right side of your screen see if it doesn't hit John first and then ricochet off of Miranda who then took a vicious helmet-to-helmet shot there so a break for Morgan State here early on and one of the things you're supposed to do as a returner like Miranda you're supposed to have a call like Peter Peter which gets everybody out of the way so that that doesn't happen you don't want to run into John like that movement on the right side of the Morgan state line most art O'Keefe number 76 popular penalty seven down Alan Jones the guilty one for the bears army does that a lot it's called stemming the front they have the guys on the D line been moved right before the snap you would think Morgan State would be ready for that army doesn't often but when they shifted the line over a gap a couple of Morgan State bears jump one reason why they do it try to get the offensive line little antsy and also change up the look watch the P line see how often today they'll start look they just hit right here right place down soft there over the middle stepping up and blowing that play up nicely from the back end there Cunningham made the hit take a look at the chick-fil-a lineup for the Black Knights here today raw suti highlight it's gotta be Elijah O'Reily man I mean the senior corner five tackles for loss three sacks - forest bubbles and a partridge in a pear tree already this season he is 215 pounds he is the foundry corner he's always to the short side that field was always locked in man-to-man coverage 13 tackles and a tough loss at Michigan dump dock over the middle one of their tight ends they get it out to the 40 yard line well short as the reception made by Daniel Vella as their fourth and eight after a gain of seven it's a big time missed opportunities for Morgan State right there you know you're a big underdog against an army team that hasn't lost here at Mikey Stadium in forever you get a muffed punt like that you gotta take advantage of it and at least move the ball a little bit maybe we get some points on the board Morgan State just one offensive touchdown this season averaging seven points a game first punt for O'Shea was 33 this one a little bit better and Miranda will make the fair cancer on the 22 yard line and that's where Army's offense will go to work for the first time here today early on in the opening quarter we're scoreless here at mighty that game at 16 at Morgan State as they track down loss from behind Teague leading the way their defense who do you like amongst this group Ross Malachi Washington he missed all of last year with an injury but back in 2017 he hit eight sacks and 17 tackles for loss they've got a really good line backing core he plays the Grizz position which is an edge rusher I'm shocked the Bears would have a position called the Grizz I always wanted to have a position that was like me you're mean yeah yeah schools all have that one game like perv seen a bunch of different ones Riz today to the 45-yard line as we approach five minutes expired here in this opening quarter con hearse lumpke with a carry and he's going to come out of the ballgame for the time being Malachi Washington the tackle pick up West Point watch these men on the field doing everything they can do to not let that flag touch the ground army off to a good start offensively nine play 77 yards just under five minutes big play on the draw on Connors lumpke an 18 yard pickup in which he hurtled Carl guards a defensive back for Morgan State capped off on the touchdown run of nine yards by artis Hobbs and armies up seven nothing [Applause] Andrew validated quick all back deep man this ball goes out of bounds so a break for Morgan State there there'll be a penalty against army love good field position to start last drive for Army Ross sort of a textbook drive you had slum couple to stop that part of it's not textbook and then the block [Applause] nobody out there one of the things I love about Army's offense is the blocking of the wing-backs the wide receivers they are the best blocking bats blocking receivers in the country it's so fun to watch how those guys do their work on the edge you take a lot of pride a those receivers and the backs when they're not handling the football no question about it ball is gonna be spotted here at the 35 after the penalty so we'll see what Morgan State can do here on this possession is DeAndre Harris 253 yards last week can run but instead here hands it off puts it into the back army swarms to the football about a yard and a half pickup there brings up second down Eric Smith Andrew leaving the charge man was he good that game at Michigan is he good last week too for him he's only a sophomore he's got 16 tackles two for loss one and a half sacks what was coach Monken telling us yesterday they have to tell him to calm down on Thursdays he'll be blowing up offensive guards and Thursday practices Eric relax a little bit relax a minute dude it's David's dad save some of it anyways right that's what you want go Bob yeah you want to have to tell guys to calm down yeah I get that at me now missile stopping this play already been for penalties on Morgan State well start offense number 65 five-yard penalty second down same thing yeah and they should be ready for is the scam of the defensive line stem just means the defensive line shifts you'll see watch the defensive line they're gonna move a little bit and you'll see them sly get just that little bit and causes them to flinch and was on Myka Jarrett and he finds his way to the sidelines second and 14 now as a result of the penalty that's five penalties for 32 yards on Morgan state Paris and off the hands of the intended target and a nice piece of work there defensively so impressed by Jabari more true freshman cornerback top of your screen playing off coverage comes up form tackle that badly needs to catch that ball yeah but still a nice job line to Lori Moore he played a lot last week as well you know how hard it is to come to the Academy and be able to play as a freshman it is very rare indeed a nice job against Michigan tonight he placed up last beginning in CSS third and 14 he's been playing more Jalen McClinton is off agenda sweet deep shot they take it there is Bailey a 72 yarder last week and minashi Bailey a beautifully thrown ball by DeAndre Harris 69 yards and in Morgan State a point after away from tying this thing up exactly the guy we were talking about any demise jabari more the freshmen top here screen is just a deep post and it looked to me like more thought he had deep health the way he played that but cam Jones the safety was nowhere to be found that was a beautiful throw by Harris and Bailey who's got pro football aspirations ran under it before that was nice there was beautiful as though she comes on tax on the point after in a seven seven game to throw the catch in the run that was a beautiful play exactly what army was trying to avoid they did not want to allow any kind of big plays like that the bear has already got one and they tied this game up [Music] you please [Music] a touchdown pass Ross minashi Bailey top of your screen now cam Jones is the safety inside I thought maybe more thought he at safety helped but they're both playing man-to-man cuz cam Jones was tracking the second receiver inside of them but the way Jabari more kind of opened the gate there and let Bailey have the inside makes you think he thought he had inside help that's what happens by the way sometimes when you have a true freshman playing corner and cam Jones is usually the boundary safe but he's playing field safety because Jalen McClinton number Seven's out so your wonder if there was a miscommunication there Ben with having multiple guys play in different spots well Morgan State as a result just their second offensive touchdown of the season a ticket short here he'll have good field position there close to the 30-yard line on the short return look at that big split because that's where they want to run the ball army will mess with the defense they'll have bigger and smaller splits between the offensive linemen on purpose knowing where they want to go with the ball another big split here on the left side of the line the bow he wants his second career start first here at Mikey Stadium and they're all over them in the backfield they're gonna lose about three on the play second down upcoming mode endo in there on the stop for Morgan State well after the play laws was looking at slump Joe yes so something some type of miscommunication there I think he wanted to give the ball to slump kazanka went the other way mm-hmm he's not you know right there that's a mental error by somebody you see slump who's talking about it with his coach after again a 14 when they get the edge like that with laws and the pitchman and defense has problems at that point I mean if laws gets the Lyon scrimmage for the head of steam and there's nobody on the pitch man army is in business the previous play is run before the review we're gonna look back at it to make sure he got the first down and he didn't step out beforehand he's gonna send this one up the Donald collar and Bruce Palmer he handles the replace does Palmer they faked the dive to Barnard and you get out there once they get there and there's nobody on the pitch man you're in a good targeting foul one would be defenseless player had to hit to the head or neck area the other would be crown of the helmet but I think that they're looking at where he went out of bounds yeah we've been told that's what it is on that angle it looked like you clearly got the first down I'm surprised they felt like this was review worthy let's take a look I mean he got the first down looks like he's right about 47 to me that's where they needed to get was the 47 [Music] [Music] so the call on the field Barney out at the 47 yard line they continue to take a look at this here on level 4 down to our right here as we look back from a different angle here Ross well from that angle it clearly looks like yet 5-yard penalty law sit down and be third down in the 34 I that is really that is a good job by the replay offeri good job really good job you know you look at the position it's where the ball goes watch where the ball is he throws it just past the 40 and he catches it 243 that good call yeah it is really good call what happens is it's almost visually deceiving because laws was forward more than Hobbs was and he was pitching it back but because of the flight of the ball where he actually pitched it and where they actually called it it was a forward pass excellent job by the replay officials because that is very hard to catch in real time watch it because you'll see laws come down these are the 41 Hobbs against e9 when he pitches it now but the ball left his hand at the 41 and Hobbs caught it watch the ball leaves his hand right about 41 and he catches it 42 and a half that's a good call really good call even though how she was at the 39 when the ball was released it really is the replay official bruce palma sends on me back trouble ball came out and it's picked up by washington a morgan state he was white they're waiting for it to leave the field as a fumble recovered by morgan state first now rico candidate came in and made the hit he was here in 2014 at the Washington picks it up JB hunter the right tackle number 55 wasn't blocking anyone [Music] chip reel Johnson Heep dances in for the touchdown Morgan State's got the lead a 25 yard run for Tyrone Wheatley's guys and they're on top here stunning the home crowd the silence in there right now is definitely this is as quiet as this place has ever been it just inside zone to the left huge hole cam Jones had a chance to make the tackle Johnson ran right through it not able to bring them down and the Morgan State bears have to leave so Nick O'Shea on for the second time here today tries to make it a 7 point game and does just that so with 329 to go Jeff Monken steamed down by a touchdown muffed punt now a fumble the play by Rico Kennedy the recovery by Malachi Washington and that led to this 25 yards to the house for gibreel Johnson army has not been sharp at all today so far here Ross Tucker they mop up there and it didn't get any better and it hasn't since then now then yeah Jabari love getting sacked on what looked like a miscommunication in the backfield and then finally Rico Canada off the edge strips laws of the football Malachi Washington picks it up that led to the second touchdown for Morgan State and Morgan State oh and two they've gotten blown out in their first two games by Bowling Green in James Madison they have come to play today and they are taking advantage of some uncharacteristic army mistakes Shea's gotta TWP they'll kick it short again and a battle ford ensues army just not sharp gotta unfurl the bodies here you barely got that bad is really lucky he got it Jeff Monken is spinning and fire and I understand why is AJ Howard bobbled this thing and he's lucky he got it back her army got it back this is the fourth time they've got an issue with the ball he had to keep fighting even just to keep that so it's not sharp to the end we'll try to get something going here offensive ly as slump context it for about a three yard game let's go down to Tina down on the sidelines when Jeff Monken made the entire team surround him and taken me and he was screaming earlier he said that this is absolutely embarrassing you are missing tackles it's horrible on special teams you've got the wrongest Simons and balls on the ground he said I'm going to put the scout team out there he said and I'm editing this get your bucks going Thank You Tina yeah he is no game they can take lightly he'll tell you time and time again we're never going to be the most talented team on the field no matter who we play athletically and you almost wonder if after playing Michigan and on the road and San Antonio it feels like there has been some type of letdown here mentally mm-hmm another big split between the center and left bar look for a run in left bulldozes his way across the 40 up a second down decent pick up there for about five he was tackled by Dietrich Washington gained a floor officially so watch this split again look at the split left side of screen Jackson Beaton when you have that big of a split like that you are creating space before the play even starts because the defense lines up on the offense there's a toss through there pick up the first down is Walker over the midfield line tackled made once again by Dietrich Washington eight first downs the tube at Morgan State where it matters leading army here 14 to 7 9 yard pickup for Kel Walker you have so much success it seems like anytime they get the ball to Hobbs or Walker on the edge Renard and at fullback keeps his body low gets another first down miss Bernard [Applause] number 23 disqualified yes Jordan Johnson freshman out of Maryland is tossed and that's because he hit with the crown of the helmet laws was not a defenseless player in that situation so it wasn't a deal where they it was a head hit to the head or neck of it defenses player and it was crown of the helmet which is what got the target he fell and is why Jordan Jon's out right side of your screen here comes Jordan right there and right there with the collision of his helmet that's really your forehead and above I line in above now there's calvin hopkins looking on and army will not run coach Tyrone Wheatley he told me that their quarterback DeAndre Harris did bruise his left hand but he is available he will play in the second half and he said second half they just have to protect the quarterback better the army defensive line is getting the best of them they really need to just sustain that rush run the ball more in fact expect them to run the ball more with play-action and by the way I saw Calvin Hopkins he kind of warm it up here he has not gone under center but we may see him in the second half he had his helmet on really warming up his arms and legs guys all right Tina thank you [Music] yard and a half and only with a 14 game home winning streak fourth longest in the FBS there is Christian Anderson talked about him that beautiful pass he had and one for six but the one counts big time baby well they they started to get it going with the fullback dives in the B gap which is between the guards attack Anderson gets the first down out to the 47 yard line nice job by Anderson there with the read he sold the defensive end crash left side of your screen he'll see the defensive end crash on the full-back he can pull it and then take it one of these impresses you so much about the Black Knights is that no matter who comes in there including their third string quarterback they know this offense so well he's been doing it for three years good read by Anderson their linemen there they tripped him up Colby warrior finished him off boy they had the right call to pin watch it - inside trap right here and look at this in court breaks that one tackle right there he goes a long way nice job by the sophomore to get down the line because they had the right call they saw the same thing we did that which is that there's nobody in the which is the gap one either side of the center Payton reader Boyard Kokoschka moving Ursa near side dropped perfect front was dropped right into the hands there of the target and unable to come up with it was Christian Hayes well you goes up on the linebacker and leads to a relatively easy touchdown for the Black Knights what a love to have been a fly on the wall in that locker room at halftime the army locker room I don't know if the NFL both times it was somebody falling in the back of him in most injuries it seems like happen when you have someone roll up on the back of your legs like that back to it here is how I'm there on housed in Staten Island yes I've 7a but 90 I'm convinced on some level banned the shorter you're running yeah they can't see you usually they have those big thunder thighs Barry Sanders in my book the best running back of all time good tackle there by Eric's was the sophomore linebacker had a really nice start to this year everybody we talked to whether it's Cole Christensen with the offensive coordinator the on aloof they call him a hammer on a hammer he is the hammer at army that's pretty good how old checks out of the game Demaryius Goodwin battle running back and they swing it out to him he's got took a heavy shot gisu christensen but cam Jones is still down Jeff Monken immediately out there and Goodwin he is dazed and confused as well that was a big time collision let's listen man and the older I get the tougher these are to watch some on and frankly in my book yeah that should be a targeting penalty on Demaryius good winner sophomore running back from Cleveland it looked like he lowered his helmet and delivered the blow with the crown of his helmet yeah it certainly debt called very often on offensive players right let's take another look at it did he put his helmet right in camp Jones his chest watch Wow both men are still down cam Jones number 20 and Demaryius Goodwin they're number 32 watch him lower his helmet and that's right in the helmet it was the crown of his helmet to the side of Jones's helmet Khurana the helmet anything except the facemask basically and that was with me on that Ross in my book they should take a look at that yeah I'm sure lying on the offensive player in the NFL started that rule last year and they only did it really one or two penalties last year yeah well they tend to both men still down on the field will step aside with six eleven to play in the third quarter delivered the blow that knocked most both men down for a few minutes cam Jones has just gotten to his feet that's what the clapping and applause is for that he's able to walk off after that kind of collision the Morgan State sidelines Goodwin has not moved all right Tina has told us our truck that he has moved his hands and legs so that is a great sign but they are still being very very careful with the Marius Goodwin he actually moved right after the play they saw him on on his hands and knees okay and then he rolled over and laid back down I didn't see that but I certainly take your word for it very careful with him we had a similar situation a couple weeks ago in the rice game against Wake Forest and the point I made then and I'll make again is they take every precaution when it's potentially a head or a neck injury so there's a certain protocol they go through here as they should the hits that men that play college football and obviously anything that in the National Football League it is just so violent in the sense that collisions it's it's amazing to me that some of these players continue on playing after some of the shots they take Jeff Monken was right out there I mean he was out on the field when a morte when the Center for Morgan State stephane to ani was injured he's still watching over Goodwin says a lot about Jeff Monken doesn't it no question he's out there and he's that concerned about a player on the other team classical coaches know sir that these are just college kids you know trying to get their degree and enjoy some college football playing the sport they love the last thing you want is any type of serious injury to any of them there's Tyrone Wheatley right next to Jeff yeah so Demaryius Goodwin strapped down to the board food ones really their fourth or fifth string running back yeah Lavelle ting Williams is out today we haven't seen him the bass Josh chase is out today we've seen Jabril Johnson number 13 who's been he's played well we've seen Andrew Howell number 21 so good ones really the fifth string running back mm-hmm now if you're the fifth string running back you're absolutely trying to make the most out of every touch every opportunity that you get now kept in his high school days the Ginn Academy under Ted Ginn senior and Nike Stadium crowd in the Corps of Cadets is they'll take Goodwin off on the stretcher well for the best for him no question about it ambulance coming on to the playing surface here at Mikey's Stadium to take him out I can remember in 2004 playing for the Buffalo Bills against the New England Patriots in a game that was on CBS Mike Williams our big right tackle had a neck injury neck scare and they put him on the stretcher and the ambulance drove down on the field very similar that's one of those things that really gives every player out there pause understandable the whole stadium feels that way and he's important to note then just just because they're going through the protocol and there's an ambulance does not mean that he necessarily has a serious injury yes they're just treating it as if it could be a serious injury [Applause] well get him to the nearest hospital and check him up we are certainly thinking of him and hoping for the best for him the first play after a play like that is always truly unique yeah let's get down to Tina she's added a view of this Tina what can you tell us well specifically about Goodwin I did see him moving his hands and legs but they were taking that full precaution that Ross was referring to that protocol so they did stabilize his neck it was incredible to watch how they just you know stabilized his entire body to get him on to that first stretcher and then lift him up he did continue to seem to move through that whole process I'm in touch with Morgan States so I will keep you guys updated with that and I'm gonna keep my eye on cam Johnson as well with any further information Thank You Tina 6:11 ago you take good went off and the ambulance take him to get tested really weird been this first play especially but even their whole rest of the game because he can't help but be concerned and think about your teammate if you're out there I I relayed the story a couple weeks ago when we did that Wake Forest at Rice game but the first play after something like this happens it feels like it's slow motion you know if you don't feel like you're really playing full speed and then the second play it's like it never happened at all I don't know how to explain it I've been in the situation a couple times Morgan State players actually doing a little stretching a loose loose yep armies guys they're on the defensive group on the field broke in their huddle for the most part they're set to go third and five once we resume here for Morgan State trying to Morgan State's actually you had a pretty good Drive say yeah there's their first now sustained Drive and they've done it Ben we're throwing the ball to the running backs out of the backfield a lot I'd like to see them do it even more that really is where I think they have the advantage that they get the ball to their backs in space against the army linebackers but how many running backs they have left Jabril Johnson limped off he did two guys we mentioned Williams and chase aren't playing they may have forced to throw it right now Goodwin's obviously out so the only healthy running back that we even had written down reeling in our notes is Andrew Howell now 21 we had five running backs down he's on the field he might be the last one left now so the ambulance heading off the field there as you see on these defense making their way back into position it's gonna be third down and five here from the 36 yard line for Morgan State with Howell in it running back DeAndre Harris got the start here today at quarterback remains the quarterback at this moment so this has to be four down territory right here they're not going to try a 53-yard field goal that would really surprise me so if you're morgan state you really have two downs here to get five or six yards they could elect to throw the ball to the back out of the backfield again and of course Bailey is always a threat looks like he's gonna end up being at the bottom of the screen as the ambulance heads out man Elisha Riley 23 is put together he is 215 pounds Bailey's bottom of your screen down here so here we go from the 36 third and 5 Paris time now takes off Paris can't get away he's dragged down nice work by Cunningham who came in to replace cam Jones who took the shot from Goodwin who is now headed to the hospital fourth down and three yeah you got to go here have to mean you're down by 17 points now by three scores I don't think they feel great about trying a 50 1/2 T 1 yard field goal his career long 39 you only have to get two and a half yards in all four one on fourth down is Morgan State Bunch set to the top they usually try to free somebody at out of that bunch set get somebody lost flow snap but Harris gathered it quick throw and it's caught hunting ham wrestles down wolf full but in the game because of the injury to cam Jones Tina what can you tell us yeah army safety cam Jones did walk to the army locker room under his own power but he was very days being guided on both sides of him now at the initial hit he was knocked unconscious when he was face down then when he was when he came to that's when they were able to flip him over and then begin the process of checking him step in the right direction for Tyrone Wheatley's Morgan state programs yeah certainly is near midfield in the midfield stripe at the 49 he was taken down by Dietrich Washington lost his helmet they need a new quarter but he's got a come out replace them I think Hopkins gonna go in there Hopkins is going in nothing like your third string quarterback being a guy that's on the Davey O'Brien list and six of the six watch list I would imagine he just hands off yes they won't take a chance of messing with whatever lower body injury he's dealing up they want him healthy got the bye week coming up and then a huge seven-game stretch before another short break so Hopkins does hand on Connor slump get right up the gut moves the chains for the Black Knights what kind of Washington the fumble recovery earlier in this game may the stop there's an injured Dayton reader yep and in his pace later remember he got banged up last week along with Jackson Deaton yeah and JB hunter this has been a brutal game so freely has and I feel like that happened even more in Army's offense just because of the nature of the offense you're gonna have a lot of guys rolling up on each other so Anderson Academy or triple-option offense is having a center that tall because usually you want a quicker yep center that is a little bit better of an athlete and have better leverage trust me it wasn't that they just needed to touch the line because it was a touch back so it's almost like the 35 is the goal line they're usually to get the ball to touch the 35 so Johnson checks out after converting it the second half of this game I'm not sure we played a heck of a lot better in the second half than we did in the first missed tackles we dropped passes we missed assignments let block slide off I mean just really poor you were able to get touchdowns from five different fullback six running backs and all how are you able to generate that and the 50-plus points well what North fault I can assure you that we weren't doing a very good job we should have blocked them better all day long and we didn't it's a win it still counts but I'm not pleased at all with the way we played all right coach thank
