King Superbowl champion Los Angeles Raiders backs-to-the-wall of the AFC West have one healthy veteran quarterback Mark Wilson available for tonight's crucial meeting with the Seattle Seahawks had even Wilson coming off a pattering a week ago against the Bears will go tonight with a very sore thumb on his passing hand five weeks ago Mark Wilson was a dominant force in the Raiders 2814 victory over Seattle passing for 309 yards and three touchdowns multi-talented Marcus Allen perhaps the premier receiver from the backfield had only four receptions that day but they were good for over 170 yards meanwhile Seattle with the incomparable safety Kenny Easley has put together a defense that he shutout three opponents this year two in the last two weeks they have a string of nine quarters without giving up a score and the defense has generated over half the team's points thus far this season Easley has five of Seattle's league leading twenty six interceptions and Easley and his colleagues every turn seven of those interceptions four touchdowns santé quarterback Dave Craig will be mark Wilson's counterpart tonight Craig and his offensive teammates while overshadowed by an opportunistic defense but not without some of the game's finest talent Steve large in a wide receiver is a constant threat and his record over nine years is one of the best in NFL history not big not fast margin is always effective Craig enlargen will need the time to execute tonight and one of the key raiders defensive lineman dedicated to not allowing that time is number 77 Lyle Alzado Alzado now in his 14th year personifies the Raiders play it rough play a tough on the edge just win baby win tonight live from the Kingdome in Seattle mr. Raiders and Seahawks in a critical battle in the AFC to a sold-out Kingdome in Seattle Seahawk fans have waited five weeks for this rematch against the Raiders a rematch of the AFC Championship game a year ago let's take a look at the standings in a bitterly fought AFC Western Division Denver on top with a comeback win yesterday over San Diego Seattle is there with eight and two the Raiders seven and three for the Raiders so much on the line tonight they've lost a pair to Denver that'll hurt them a tremendous crowd on hand the Raiders have problems at quarterback Don knows about problems with quarterbacks he's got a very sore thumb done thumb is gonna be a problem I think Frank but last week against the Bears fool Mark Wilson got a lot of things hurt besides his thumb I think the therm will heal up he's been throwing I've watched it he's done a good job Susan Oh adrenaline starts pumping he's going to be ok he's going to be hit a lot tonight I think Oh Jay that's that Seattle deep end well that's the Raiders have a problem they got to try to slow down this Seattle defense which is led by this man Jacob green he along with John and Jeff for Brian have applied the pressure that is made of this team F for the total stat and 26 interceptions that leaves the NFL Franken if the Raiders are going to win they're gonna have to protect the quarterback we're set to go and there is electricity here in the kingdom that's been building all week long t-shirts you can't find them anymore but they're in the audience tonight all in white they're saying Raider Buster's they've written songs about the Seahawks team we're set to go the Raiders will kick off Chris Barr puts it up high and here comes David Hughes and who's out over the 20-yard line the man that will lead them out will be Dave Craig but there's a flag the flag is down and quickly we get an indication from the Raiders that it will work against the Seahawks okay Dave Craig this year 56% took over midseason a year ago he does not make mistakes he's an ideal quarterback for Chuck Knox he controls the offense he had tough sledding however early when the Seahawks and the Raiders got together in that game five weeks ago and then of course he had a disastrous day in the AFC championship game there you look at the offensive unit for the Seahawks of course the man they'd like to go to is Steve Largent he is a great receiver the Seahawks backed up to the 12 yard line holding is the call first down at 10 Seahawks their setbacks David Hughes and Zach Dixon [Applause] Largent works out of the backfield Zack Dixon left and the much-traveled sack Dixon moved for about three yards it'll be second down and seven and this man who went out of that first game with a torn some Akmal is back reactivated just today he is available but they would prefer not to blame there was a question right up until the one o'clock deadline this afternoon as to whether or not they would reactivate Plunkett but this man has more lives than a cat and he made so many comebacks and he if he has to we know will be out there second down and seven now uses in Zack Dixon Dixon so tomorrow news at 46 [Applause] right side and he's offended let's take a look at the defensive unit as use picks up a couple of yards and there they are the pressure course comes from the big man how he long while Alzado plays it cozy but any alternatives the quarterbacks will be looking at this linebacker the quarterback for the Seahawks Brad Van Pelt of course 11-year veteran of the Giants starts at that strong side and the finest corners in football not even arguable Mike Haynes and Lester Hayes third down and three brings them up single setback as we see so often with shadows dan the Gwen good on picking up the Blitz number 30 also good as a receiver from the shotgun Frank stepped in the pot underneath fire to complete the large and enlarge it just got a pass for the one hundred and second consecutive game of his remarkable career he was taken there by Rob Martin first down Seattle and he looked at that statistic for what they usually do on that third that it didn't look too optimistic 17% they make that situation game under with her head and receiver large and I enjoy watching in places he seems to get open and he does the job we can and week out and thus far this game is going just the way Chuck Knox wants it to go he's gonna run the ball morning he's gonna throw the ball and when he throws it he's gonna throw safe passes like that the ball the 25-yard line single setback first down at 10 Seattle News works to the left and he runs into rock Martin and down he goes he gets scrapped three yards to bring up a second down and seven this raider team was really battered a week ago by the chicago bears not so much in the scoreboard but they sacked greater quarterbacks nine times and we have an injured Raider and that is Van McElroy perhaps overshadowed by the cornerbacks but a Pro Bowler and really a super defensive back so they were going to look at Van McElroy as we look at Chuck Knox now in his second year here at Seattle he took them to the AFC Championship a year ago he's been a winner everywhere he was in on that tackle if David Hughes one lip suspect that he preps hit him straight on and probably fixed a nerve in his neck he ran off the field appears to be alright he's been replaced by Stacy Turin rookie out of Notre Dame and a four-year starter there at Notre Dame Horan we're number 30 second down and a long six Zach Dixon good running by diction out over the 30-yard line he was staying behind the line of scrimmage and he scrambles for one it'll bring up third down at for a passing situation or Seattle they make their specialty changes as will the Raiders done you know you would think would be difficult to run against the Raider they have such good quarterbacks that they can play those outside men man-to-man so essentially they have nine guys to stop the run the most people have to play a safety helping out but in your great cornerbacks like the raiders you can let the other nine guys play against to run the rookie Darryl Turner from Michigan State moves up to the top of your screen number 80 to the right he is the man that Greg will look for Turner and a great defensive play to quick Mike Haynes who against Turner and the flag is down it may have been pass interference but it certainly was a pretty chomp of depending came over and got that hand right in front of it and knocked it out he looked like he may have put his right hand on his back just to keep him tripping over him Geoffrey tonight Jim honey pass interference defense number 22 down my games he's one of the best he timed this beautifully but he must have got a hand on there Darryl Turner you receiver coming in there he had that one bump now let's see what it yep well gosh that's just hopefully close man right hand on the back the left hand deflecting the ball first and ten Seattle at the 35 yard line boy they make a tough arm defensive back man McElroy back in the game at three safety for the Raiders large and in motion looks to larsen and this file under pressure under throws good pass pressure against Prague Alzado was in there long was in there they tried a little blitz that time the Blitz was picked up pretty well in the middle of the line Tom Flores has done a remarkable job with this Raider team now in his sixth year there was a little staff you may be mentioned that last week against the Bears the quarterbacks the greater quarterbacks for sack 9/10 that almost has a record director was 10 and they were second that was when Tom Flores and cotton Davidson report why are you going back away down that has been 61 and sixth grade I'll happen to plan all my life you know Glory's first five years he won two Super Bowls as hard the duplication second intent Dixon single setback ball at the 35 yard by no score here from the Kingdome in Seattle this is at Dixon and Dixon it's fine tackle coming up to make the stop James Davis day niveau maybe a yard for Zack Dixon who has been well traveled around the NFL and here's the man that seems to just have extra special days and evenings against the Seattle Seahawks and yet a remarkable game in the AFC Championship game a year ago [Applause] but they have found on third and long the third and nine or more they are over five and they're looking at now at third down and nine better quick [Applause] Gregg in the shotgun [Applause] have Turner he was not there for first down yardage the Treg overthrows and it'll be the punting unit coming on for Seattle and dropping deep will be Greg Bruin great Pruitt who early in his career with Cleveland was one of the outstanding return men in the league and look at that the stat right there though that's animate bubbles will but returns this year that's they talk about Marcus Allen he has a fumbles carrying the football and on receiving but quite frankly Pruitt does not like to fir cuts to football and he has been hit rather hard on many occasion Jeff West he doesn't kick it long so high which he does now and put inside the 20 all right good move to get out close to the 28 yard line by Greg Drew it it'll be first and 10 the Raiders have the football and they bring out their offensive unit [Music] what the city has really been turned on for this past week and winning six of the last seven well who can fall babe has taken over the kingdom it began here in saddle the University of Washington and they do it I guess basically to perfection they're quite proud of it meanwhile the Raiders have a first down and ten their first possession of the night the ball at the 28 yard line Mark Wilson is in there we've talked about his thumb he was then getting x-rayed last week against the Bears a second time he had been knocked out of that game then all of a sudden david the hum went down and they prodded him back out and they finished the game I have already mentioned the Jim Plunkett who has been out for six weeks have been activated he would be available and they also have Jerry Goldstein they've been much traveling that has also been with the Raiders so he knows the system Wilson back looking deep the French intended receiver branch to has been out for two games with a pulled groin muscle take a look at the offensive unit first that offensive line which is very critical to the Raiders their quarterbacks are not all that mobile but it has been made over there are what you could characterize as your skilled players Barnwell and branched great speed on the outside the offensive line however mows bar herding practices past week he's out of the lineup he's replaced by Mickey Marvin but he started two Super Bowls they're at right guard Charlie Hanna left guard in place by Kirk Mars she'll be joined the great New England replaced goose Davison left tackle second down at 10 Kenny king stretches it out and Terry Jackson upset skinny King right at the line of scrimmage got a feeling when you saw mark.wilson open up the ballgame that long bomb he's saying look I don't anybody think my thumb's hurt what's this he's gone broke but my opinion the ball was not thrown as well as as mark can throw it I don't know what that was I guess he's just sitting here let me get this thing out of my mind I don't have a sore thumb hey buddy feed it his purpose yeah we've got some other problems up here because this is the loud stadium and he's a smart fans let me see the wave here is going to be when the Raiders have the ball high third down there goes no Sun Barnwell this time the intended receiver and get easily back there racing Barnwell for the football barn logos down no flags and out comes Rhaegar the Raiders turned back on their first possession of the night boy they are noisy they are naazy and the writers play traitor football there they they threw deep twice and tried one of their little sweet plays nothing happened though hey guy averaging forty two point three yards into the night and dropping deepest kitty easy who took over that job for an injured but now it's can see was back there as easily gets a breather there's can see a former Pittsburgh Steeler apart a few weeks ago and he makes the fair catch at the 32 yard line where it will be first down a 10 second possession for Seattle and Chuck Knox has the last word the quarterback Dave Craig the second meeting of the Raiders and the Seahawks in this AFC Western Division the Seahawks are 82 they trailed Denver ten and one a win tonight and will be one game behind and for the Raiders are seven and three they are in trouble if they lose tonight [Applause] [Music] ten Seahawks at the 31-yard line left side and that's it down to football you're going to watch tonight both of these team feature powerful overwhelming type defenses [Applause] and of course one has only have to has to admire the Seahawk offense even though they are ranked ninth in the AFC 22nd in the NFL and moving the ball in terms of yardage but keep in mind that they lost Kurt Warner in the very first game of the season Kurt Warner represented 1700 yards of offense form a year ago they have hung in there they have made up full on defense and they continue to do so second down and eight Zach Dixon out around the 35 yard line where it'll be third down and six want to remind you live at 8 o'clock 7 o'clock Central Time and that's is 8 o'clock Pacific time Thursday night from New York City New York is the goal tonight in boxing history is 5 members of the 84 United States Olympic boxing team make their professional debut mark Breeland Pernell Whitaker Meldrick Taylor Evander Holyfield and Tyrell Biggs all of one spectacular card you remember from the Summer Olympics this is the third you live at 875 Central here on ABC and Jim Lampley will be talking to mark Freeland at halftime as long as the feature on funny featuring some of the bastards in the NFL third down long rod his brakes capsules away from the generator system picture large above the flag is down let's into clear taken from behind like Davis caught larger but the flag is down and Seahawks know what it is do you see the big old offensive lineman back there and he says yep it's what happens when you roll out of the pocket an offensive lineman blocking with pressure all of a sudden the defensive man moves with the moving quarterback and there is that tendency to grab and hold negated a 51-yard pickup you have to give logic credit though in McCray Craig was looking for large and he's shipped his man loose got away 59 [Applause] [Music] Claire Bush the man in the middle of the center holding you'll see it he provides a snap on the shotgun I think the point you made is good too if you look at it got a wreck tries to make a move he's got him pretty well he's got a pretty well locked in there it looked like he just took bill to kill and dropped him Greg didn't have any place to go so he rolled out and that's that's when they can see him they got those jerseys and the guy makes the moves but he seemed dragging them well you need to look for and he found the margin it's right there down and 18 the ball now the Seahawks again for the shotgun [Applause] and it's the Kel this time fighting through Blair Bush the pressure came from the outside the form of Greg Townsend Greg had to step inside and tickle was there and Fidel is playing for through Reggie Kinlaw who's been there most of the SAP he's out with a groin injury if Miguel just kept moving that was really the defense's second here they had a pretty well-covered no place to go and David couldn't move finally caught up with it there grapefruit he stands at his own 45 yard line an opportunity to get the radio strip field position Jeff West once again he doesn't kick it long he just gets it high as he does once again [Applause] even hesitate he knew with the height of that ball he'd have to call for the fair catch and he did so inside his own 40-yard line Lyle Alzado one of the finest now in his fourteenth year Raiders right now in Seattle Seahawks no score 756 remaining in the first quarter first contender hit comes Marcus out on the left side it is pulling ahead behind Curt Marsh Mickey Marvin both out in front of it and he gets good yardage out over the 45 yard line a game of about seven it'll be second down and three well the Raiders did a good job on that they didn't do any fancy blocking up front every man just got on a man and they just tried to push them and that's pretty much the way the Washington Redskins play that kind of bull goes you up front and the Riddick would be a better running football team if they you get philosophy Raiders have struggled with that graphic will tell you that and Frank Hawkins inside saddled Seahawk territory at the 48 yard line first down Raiders chief Butler defensively there for Seattle thank Hawkins first I wonder if you ever get over that happening that took place in the lost to Denver in overtime tom ploys on first and ten at the 12 yard line he decided to get a little better field goal angle Hawkins who does not fumble the football had carried his 60 times up to that point without a fumble popped it up Denver ultimately went on over time Marcus Allen oh he is hammered by Keith Butler he's hit right at the line of scrimmage and he'll lose about a yard Keith Butler likes it a little more comfortable in the middle he was a middle linebacker in his high school his college days and when he first came up here had him on the outside he likes it back in the middle you see Marcus taking off of the middle and there you don't like to see that do you choose not at all you can think of this man over the middle that looked like a may have been Dave Dolphy maybe good play out of it and I keep butters and I'll be fine middle Aybar an inside linebacker I guess they call him out second down and long Wilson is back what's the Barnwell tried to tuck it away before it got there he was hit by Terry Taylor and I'm sure that he heard Terry Taylor coming they don't really like to see did you see they were looking for a barn well that was a little outside the pot a little bit behind it but not much at all you know that's what behind it well you know the Raiders philosophy is you don't anticipate the past you don't throw it before the guy break they like their quarterbacks to wait to the receiver breaks before they throw the ball so sometimes it may appear as if he's throwing the ball late third down and 11 barn well at once again top of your screen the branch is split to the left mark Wilson and Wilson will get about five out of it but it will bring up fourth down and the shadow defense is strong once again well in that play is one of the play example of why they miss Jim Plunkett Plunkett has the ability to scramble and still look downfield and if Mark Wilson would have looked downfield he would have saw cliff branch working back to him wide open he was wide open Mark Wilson was very busy busy busy scan see if I excused this good thing he says the AFC in punt returns - the same name Greg looks for a corner kick and stab that's close to home so the Raiders with good field position they had the football near their own a 40-yard line but they have to put away and Seattle gets it back at their own 20-yard line following the touch back you better believe the both teams feature the defense and of course for the Raiders defense second the AFC Shadle is fourth in the AFC is that good are there exists in our chief then beautiful signs around here tonight they do love the Seahawks doesn't see our first down at in the ball for own 20-yard line Zack Dixon single setback that's large and moving in motion Dixon Dixon broke behind a block Ron East Inc the left tackle gets close to 4 yards moving out there Rob Martin who finally really last year was recognized for the kind of play that he's been providing and rated for the past five years making his first Pro Bowl attempt he has nine sacks coming in tonight a pair of interceptions that he was mr. everything a year ago and he has been mr. everything on defense for this team for a number of years he led the team in tackles a number of times and he's been voted most valuable difference of player I think the last four years second down in six 24 yard line of Seattle Zach Dixon as a setback for Seattle on [Applause] all right oh and Squier ich was in there quickly Alzado also there but it was Dax qui Riku is filling in for a injured Matt Millen the inside line back on the left side who they say could go tonight if he had to they would prefer that he did not Matt Millen with a pulled groin muscle and Jax quarry makes a key sack we are UNAMID Seattle all the way to the 15-yard line limo Jack Swagger from the Super Bowl last year coming out of that middle linebacker position intercepting the thighs been past and telling that Super Bowl I can't say turned it around he's just about put it on ice for the Raiders he did run a good route though you'll have to give me credit for that four wide receivers now from Seattle Arjun is in there of course Darrell turn of the rookie for Michigan State Chris Castro and and channel will go from the shotgun [Applause] Turner the speedster in motion prey and again pressure trying to get it to Steve Largent Lester Hayes both whipping most of the way and Craig who was ever so careful back there he won't put it up for grabs pray often overthrows it'll be fourth down and once again through it will settle in close to midfield awaiting the pond of Jeff West Jeff is an interesting putter he doesn't kick it all that deep we've talked about how he gets it high but he has not had a punt block since 1978 nearly 400 punting attempts that's the look from Jeff quest [Applause] and again [Music] this time - it does not call for the fair captain but the suit is down there and through it maybe got a couple out of it never the last good field position for the Raiders 44 yard putt that time for Jeff West much more than his average next week we are going to be in New Orleans and that should be a good one the Pittsburgh Steelers Neely toughening up they go against the New Orleans Saints both of course still alive in their divisional races and of course wildcard consideration and then we will move on from there to watch the Jets go against Miami and Miami just keeps doing it somehow we got away from Philadelphia yesterday came back to win that with a block conversion we'll see him on our last Monday night - against the Dallas Cowboys the 42 yard line first intent markers out goes against the grain and he is hammered Jacob green leading the assault of the Seahawks we talked earlier when the Raiders had the ball they were running the ball and I said that they they they're more suited to run power plays you know one on one blocking like the Redskins that's the type of play right there the counter type plays that they don't run well is one of the reasons Marcus Allen is not up there with Eric Dickerson Oh or Walter Payton and rushing because they just don't have the quickness in their guards to run that type of play that's it second down and nine in seven defensive backs my cousin and Wilson gets inside Seahawk territory does not pick up the first down it'll be third down to one but Wilson again being hassled and harried back there in the pocket one of the things that happens I think the quarterback you only had two receivers really damn feel that time and if those two guys are covered you don't have any other choices so demarks credit or defense that time he didn't have very many places to go his backs didn't seem to get in the pattern that time okay touches on a while ago is certainly true though Jim Plunkett doesn't have the arm that Mark Wilson but he has the head the savvy we experience and he can move around back there rather than running the football he'll move around and find the open receiver third down and one Marcus Allen almost breaks it he gets the first down close to the 35 yard line in the arms of Dave Brown 13-yard pickup and it's so easy to do on third and short because everyone is up there so close and they're running a straight power play you'll see number 87 a flash from the past Dave Casper get a pretty good block over here Marcus steps through a good job by Dave Brown coming up to make the tackle one on one got a good lead bought from Frank Hawkins got a good block from Derrick Jensen who is the third to tied in the Raiders like to bring in on short yardage still most for he minutes a nine-second first quarter in the kakuzu Marcus Allen and the surge of the line carries Marcus Allen close to the 31 yard line gain of three it'll be second down and seven then what are your old teammates there he is real good ones hey looking a little older than his true years Reggie's only about 34 but he's had a lot of problems with his shoulder and his knee and he was pressed into service here tonight he hasn't been starting this year but he's starting the 90s his hands Vil cuz I saw him trying to a block deal Patel a few times at the tail got near the quarterback and seven look down to the radius draw them off flags or everywhere look like Henry moved a little bit quickly little too quickly false start number 70 [Music] [Applause] every Lawrence in the right side you saw it that will stretch it out Henry is not pleased with that he says and call that on me this is hundred and twenty second game that he's played in for the Raiders very durable but the rest of that line has been changed around we told you about moles bar being injured in practice tomorrow the bench pittmoss is there and Shelby Jordan is a left top second and 12 anything boo Schulz defensively there for Seattle and that is a surprising call trying to get the Seahawks thinking blitz perhaps on the pass trying to get King outside Seahawks didn't go with it taking her down and ten number 56 great gains did an excellent job while Marquez Marquez went out McLaughlin Marcus was telling me a story about the last time he played against Gaines and 156 that he was surprised how hard his throwing the guy is he came in easy a few times at one time he came in a row third down and chant hoppiest green both wide receivers Malcolm barber number 80 [Applause] [Music] will sign learn while is there he was and again Wilson didn't hang it out Jerry Taylor the number one draft pick for Seattle out of Southern Illinois with wit Barney Barnwell had he beat though and had Wilson put it up barn will has the speed to run under it so maybe that thumb is bothering Mark Wilson the farm well has been beat relatively early and with barnwell's speed if the ball would have been laid out there you would have seen him pulled away from Taylor maybe three or four yards but he had to slow up for the ball you're looking at a guy Malcolm Barnwell who has the most 40 yards or more receptions this year he has six of them out of range of Chris bar so ray guy will find Scott C is back guessing with him look for the left corner puts it up high and it's going to be a guy one of the all-time greats number one graphic so many years ago back in 1973 and so much on the line tonight for both of these ball clubs let's take a look at the AFC playoff picture those are the leaders in the division Miami Lebanon Oh Pittsburgh six and five they're leading the set from Denver course ten and one they're in the AFC West as is the Seattle and the Raiders the other contenders there's how they stand that after 11 games in the American Football Conference [Applause] well the game planned us well I think is well field position we've worked it into rated rated favor they like to throw the ball deep to loosen up that secondary for the second half and I think they're succeeding because of heating them too they're going to start thinking about that they've played this entire first quarter and Seahawks Illinois [Applause] David you bangs his way out to the team he'll get four it will be second down and six as we are in the final 30 seconds at the first quarter bitterly fought game as they have always provided last year even though the Raiders went on to win the Super Bowl it was Seattle who defeated them twice and of course it was the Raiders prevailing in the AFC Championship game they did at 30 14 a lot of bitter feelings between these two ball clubs and we're going to get the end of the first quarter Dave Craig anticipating it will move over and have a word with head coach Chuck Knox they will be out back in the Kingdome in just a moment well nil all in the game that we've been waiting for Seattle have a fantastic defensive pattern and they'll be really relying on that tonight the Los Angeles Raiders one of the big sides have been hit by injuries and the fellow I really believe they're going to miss tonight is Jim Plunkett he's cunning he's got a good arm and he really has that technique of getting out of trouble and getting the Raiders going so far it's been a pretty tough encounter and that's just what the 60,000 fans expected when they turned out to the Kingdome tonight what about those radarbusters shirts somebody's made a big dollar around the Seattle area it looks like shaving up to be the game we all thought it was going to be and that this one could go right to the wire okay it's time for the Johnnie Walker Super Bowl super plays let's have a look at those right now bad snap and getting fast delete to the right hangs it up by McLemore contact that is amazing trouble I read is going to take another one back and one referee goes down he was clipped a referee [Applause] there it is Oh No that moon yells to be didn't have to put much of the new warning their Nazi flags what a nice kick [Music] for a picket line and again he pops it up here's go Henry color you like your old fashioned Rock'em Sock'em defense you're going to get it tonight both these teams really strong on defense Seattle the -13 passing that of course reflects two sacks that the Raiders have applied the Dave Craig as we begin the second quarter that'll be the seahawks ball deep in the hometown boy they've been here pretty much throughout the entire evening we still have no score the ball is at the 10-yard line second and six blue tight ends now for Seattle Charlie young is there Mike theis young 87 he played for Chuck Knox Kentucky Knox was worth around [Applause] [Music] [Applause] who gets away from one tackle every big rod and then McIlroy was there to make the stop he'll gain a yard out of that'll be third down and five McIlroy is the guy we saw go out earlier in the ballgame obviously he's better he's back in there but what's kind of amazing you look at their defense dish statistics and McIlroy by actually a considerable margin is the leading tackler he's the Safety's a third-year guy out of Baylor he kind of sitting there sticks his head in there a little bit three times maybe that's what happened in a while ago well their loss plan is for him to come up and make a lot of the tackles because they got Mike Haynes and Lester Hayes playing the corner they can play one-on-one so they don't need much help and we're going to have a timeout call timeout Seattle they had four wide receivers come in Dave Craig looked it over figured he did not have enough time to get it off within the 30 seconds allotted he used the timeout we'll be back interesting graphic interesting Oh Jay could play with those guys you don't make a comeback hey it doesn't upset Chuck Knox at all this philosophy is conservative offense Rock'em Sock'em defense let's get field position in Baulkham and maybe some turnovers he hasn't had the field position but he's certainly playing conservative offense they're down in five saddle from the shotgun list inside their 11 yard line [Applause] okay he had enlarged and wide open and he also had enough open space in front of him to run with at first down I kind of expected him to do that he's the fourth leading ball carrier on the Seattle Seahawk team 37 yards rushing so that'll tell you what the other three have been doing for us again what they lost Kurt Warner in that opener and would have to wonder how Curt would compliment this defensive unit you know I was talking to Mike McCormick at lunch today GM here and he talked about Franco Harris gun I said oh really sorry Franco didn't work out for you he said you know in so many ways he really picked our ballclub up because they were so down when Kurt Warner went out and that's not a bad things day again that's the look from Jeff West this time his first bad kick of the night and grapefruit has time with the 45 the special units of shadow they played so well that was very plain the ordinarily with start as a setback he's the captain of the special teams and they have been superb throughout this season characteristically freighters now with their best starting field position 46 yard line of Seattle we're in the early moments of the first quarter no score there's Mark Wilson and I do believe that second quarter brother I do believe that mark Wilson's thumb is bothering him he is a superb passer of course they watched him here in high school he went to George West High School right here in Seattle before matriculating to Brigham Young he is a great on several occasion miss receivers tonight first down in ten the Raiders mocking banging inside the 40-yard line you'll get eight out of that it'll be second down and two Keith Butler made the stop at halftime very interesting profile and one of the Raiders involved in it NFL bachelors what is it like it's kind of interesting of course an interview with mark Breeland knew it will begin his pro career Thursday night right on ABC for other Olympians so stick around well join Jim lappy in New York for those particular events Hawkins close to the first down he'll have it near the 35 yard line I was watching Marcus he was trying to put his hand down he didn't put it down normally that would be illegal procedure but you know you talk about bachelors and Marcus is a part of that halftime show he's a neighbor of mine in Brentwood California and believe me that's one bachelor at least an interesting like is it active Chris Collins right it's another when I remember one time at his superstars we had Chris fill out some kind of questionnaire was his hobbies he says well one of them is women and then down at Lover's didn't get any other hobbies easy up girls kind of Silverman hello I father was sick first down and ten [Music] in possession there was no flag and his bar good straight-arm good move lay on a tooth down the sidelines and he turned a two-yard pickup into a five-yard pickup Marcus Allen has been especially devastating to Seattle over his career he has been really something special a year ago in the AFC Championship game he ran 454 yards with moves like this he's got one of the best dip arms he got those Popeye you know like Steve Garvey forearms and hips a little weight he keeps a little barbell he's always doing push-ups and between sets of tennis he's doing push up to develop that step on it's over a second down and five looking for Barnwell he's there Simpson was that a good job by Simpson he was one of three of the Seahawks who returned for touchdowns a record 330 yards against Kansas City a week ago and he was there that time against Barnwell from up here it looked like that barn wall had it you see the fall baby it thrown a little bit back over his head had it not been maybe loved it more but I mean he would have been able to get there we look at it from the other side you'll see that Malcolm slows down a bit and starts moving back over his shoulder but look at Simpsons got that hand right there third down and five and still Mark Wilson continues to go deep we have not seen Todd Christensen the 50 receptions on the year he likes to work to him underneath we have not seen that much of Marcus Allen out of the backfield here comes Hawkins he has the first down full of his feet and works his way down at the 16 yard line in the arms of John Harris and the Raiders now prowling that was a situation where the parish was thinking of blitz that time went up and they snapped the ball caught up in an altered position he ran into one of his own men and he couldn't get out to pick up Hawkins so all those kind of mistakes that happen I tell you you wonder why the rate of the throw in the ball deep so often well when you throw the ball deep that much Don as you know the secondary is looking for help and you get the line back of trying to cover these backs and the weight of the taking advantage of that now Thursday at 10:00 [Music] his bark asylum coming out of the backfield so effective hawkers over with the leaf lot and Hawkins inside the 15 to the 14 a gain of a couple that'll bring up second down and eight crank it on the guy while ago I think we'll see that in here that's tot Christmas and he's the leading receiver on the team one of the leading receivers in the league and he has a great knack of just fine at open space here's all the fight during a commercial while ago that's where he in front have been so successful guy he's a great improvised pattern runner when he's not open on his initiate here you can make adjustments and Plunkett is a real adept at finding him whistle Seattle is not giving giving up a point now in ten quarters but that two consecutive shutouts against San Diego then Kansas City and the opening game of the season they shave off the season [Applause] [Music] we'll see and that will be the tight-end Todd Christensen with the five-yard line first down goal to go he also made that kind of little move he turned back into the inside and just moved a little bit had some time to throw it always kind of seems to start with that does it Todd goes to the outside he's got like man two covers that Simpson again Simpson he comes back in seem to slide into the inside of a what a move to Don he had the he's a former running back second round draft pick of Dallas a few years ago they let him go after one year of injured reserve the Giants let him go typically of the Raiders they brought him out looking over mating a tight end he didn't do nothing until his second year last year he led the entire NFL or we shot to go Jennsen and lectures will be a lead blocker [Applause] [Music] Kristensen again and Kitty easily one of the best was right there and Don Christus is saying to the referee hey what about face guarding what is this stuff and this interference comes back across look at it again he could easily right behind him easily long as he doesn't waive those arms he's all right beautiful play that wasn't really welded on the roughing it Kenny Easley was another member of that Seattle secondary that took a touchdown interception back against Kansas City Dave Brown got the other two [Music] to the one-yard line Frank Hawkins not tall 5 9 210 pounds a tips round draft pick an 81 after remarkable record of gaining over 5,000 yards at the University of Nevada at a repeat Reno they thought he was too short narrator's found a way to use it he is very effective down close why do you have a feeling that they're going to call air traffic control right now that man Marcus Allen is going to take off a Vicki might a little airborne [Music] [Applause] [Music] there Allen started to go up there his penetration kept his feet into the end zone and the string of unscored upon quarters for Seattle has ended and that puts Marcus in the league with touchdowns in the NFL well it was working against obviously was working against Seattle because you play field position that's a game within the game every time you put the ball you want to get it back if you see Marquez go over steps over goes into the end zone and each time the Raiders punted the ball they got the ball back and better field position than when they punted it good effort by Kirk Marsh and Shelby Jordan on that left side leading the way for Marcus Allen here's Chris Barber and the Raiders are on top they lead seven to nothing 949 remaining in the first half good football game a defensive game and Marcus Allen's 39th touchdown in his 36 professional game and put the Raiders on top seven to nothing Haley one of the great football players he can do so many things for you there is AK Dixon number 31 you got a look at David use of a 46 in Chris bar will kick off [Applause] why is crowd here for a moment [Applause] [Music] [Applause] carries it to the goal line where David who is good for there was a mixup between Hughes and Dixon and used took it with the momentum carrying him backwards and that made the effort at a return very difficult I look at the scoring drive and they just kept giving the Raiders field position they couldn't get anything happening and the Raiders finally took it at the Rome 46 yard line and worked it into the end zone [Applause] good hard-hitting game once again the Raiders seven and three they feel they must win this game tonight and if they do so they'll move into a tie with Seattle and then Seattle and the Raiders will both be trailing Denver by two games if you'd be mine channel the master of their own destiny because they still have to play him for twice in this AFC West at the 15-yard line first in check [Music] Greg is back it's it's a David you and use will be good move out of the 20 yard line before he's up ended by Bob Nelson I will bring up a second down at four and we'll pause five seconds and allow our stations to identify themselves [Applause] we've been watching a bitterly fought defensive game between the raiders of the seahawks both trying to stay close to Denver in the AFC West Raiders finally have capitalized on a 46 yard drive a few moments ago [Applause] [Music] [Applause] rookie out of Tennessee and he has piled up out of the 25 blood line he had to get just out over the 25 for the first down is going to be very close that's transpired as far as the Seahawk possessions are concerned unable to deal with a tough Raider defense and the youngster out of Tennessee is short of the first down it'll be third down in less than a yard boy it's couldn't heat it out there I saw Lyle Alzado have a few words with someone my man regiment kids do too of course when we used to call him who's over there calming him down a little bit about a foot to go for the first down [Applause] I'm a man Lyle Alzado colliding with David Hughes and there'll be no first down well they say Lyle don't dominate a game for the entire game the way he once could but they say on some plays he can totally take his side of the line away from an offense and you saw him do it on that play he just came screaming down the line of scrimmage they made him mad to play before that was you psycho way to go Lyle football fan would love any football coach would love to see this late off the block and he met him head-on didn't he so many great years at Denver then of course three years with the Cleveland Browns finally coming through the Raiders in 1982 but he was gonna retire last year said he was changed his mind as we look at Jeff West set to punt once again for Seattle another high towering kick great foot at the 31 yard line he didn't even hesitate he called for the fair catch right at the very height of that football which was far over our heads and we're on the third level of the Kingdome here in Seattle that's where we're bringing you tonight's football game between Seattle and the Raiders we're pulling for the hoes up there was to the Raiders a win tonight for Seattle it'd be one game out behind Denver and Seattle will have five games remaining as will the Ravens of course but seattle st games but the thins are home and away and then they have three more opponents they're all under 500 Cincinnati Detroit in Kansas City next week they'll be at Cincinnati the Raiders have a first down and 10 the ball to the 32 yard line Marcus Allen and Allen out of it a 35 to the 37 he'll get four it will be second down and six reminding you once again CFA action continuing this Saturday as big eight powers get together number one ranked Nebraska and 6th ranked Oklahoma meeting that all-time classic rivalry or you watch number 10 ranked Texas battle surprising TCU in a critical Southwest Conference showdown you check your local listing for the game of your area on CFA college football live at 3:30 Eastern you'll see it right here on ABC Raiders second and six Wilson with a lot of time the flag is down as Christensen is at midfield it is interference either owns business and other defensive players because that's he had bumped into a couple of when he came across Shelton Robinson the linebacker was all over Christensen and I believe it's going to be Robinson will get the call deston said he's a dangerous man to be covering with a linebacker but I think it's the penalty that will not work against them because he caught the ball and normally you'll give you a player that's the tip that stat opposed to taking the penalty I didn't have it bigger game holding defense number 58 decline he's over the plane as Bruce Schultz Schultz and Robinson savaging christeson at the line of scrimmage and Schultz gets called for the holding and the Raiders have the first down at midfield midway through the second quarter Raiders have southern jerk themself offensively what's in again pressure in traffic crystals he like where he was he did not move and finally Wilson delivers and it's another Raider first down it's exactly in racket Wilson was transcending movies I'm not gonna move I'm open me the ball does that a guy that's face of a million sacks yes sir he found him a home Binney Lyle well you wondered why they raided to throwing those bombs earlier in the game well it was to open up their short passing game and it's wide open right now Alzado give it everything he got he is the oldest offensive line man starting in the NFL we've built plays like the kid on first contender that is about Marcus Allen with the good hand reaches back collects the ball gets to the 32 yard line for a gain of four before Jeff Bryant takes him there hey Marcus Allen adds another dimension to a football offense can do so many things just a little checkoff there Wilson had it behind him kept his concentration got it in their hands and they'll mark it inside the 32 so it's gonna be second down and five and he is of the good thing he leads the AFC with 12 31 yards of that combined yardage in scrimmage grants popular screen Allen once again beautiful running by Marcus Allen you'll have a Raider first down in the 25-yard line that was the play designed to go the other way and Marcus saw immediately they were slanting that way and he improvised on his own he went just the opposite direction that he was a schedule to going he may be excellent runner he got Oh Jeff Brack gonna grab it a tear there didn't he if the events have inlaid a little quick move to the inside well because of these offensive line and their pass blockers they're not the best I mean they're good run blocker but this offensive scheme is not running Marcus will never dominate as a runner but he could be the first guy to get a thousand yards receiving and rushing in one season first and ten he had two guys opening Eddie he left France crossed with Kenny King they were both open and Wilson overthrows King and something has to be bothering mark.wilson he's really a gifted pastor and he's having trouble being on target tonight and has to be that sprained thumb it was either that or is the fact that we call welco they had a combined sacks on in last week against the Bears and you know you went out of the game a couple of times I think sometimes that happens to guys you get a little bit kind of a jumpy act back there well that's easy in his face they were they had a safety blitz on and he really didn't have much time he has that right hand heavily tape second antenna [Music] over one tackle or down to the 15 close to another first down he should have it [Applause] let's take a look at it it's once again is little trapped late a tackle trap saw the type of combine make a nice block and Hawkins does an excellent job of running the ball good 101 block by Dave Dalvi against the nose tackle Joe Nash first down and ten the ball at the 15-yard line that's the tape I spoke of this constant across the carbon I am The Protector thumb listen Tom Kristensen with the great cats he has first down yardage the flag is down at the line of scrimmage nice effort old tots part there wasn't no Jane made his little spin picked up the extra couple of yards show some curds went up for the ball a lot of times you don't want to go up over the middle holding gonna be illegal motion and it'll be brought back once again our referee tonight jim tony la convulsion 46 down remains you saying it's only right that if you're gonna have a pass taken away from you it you should be the cause of it he was in a hurry to get out there the great year Todd Christensen had last year 92 receptions he was a holdout during training camp he came back however full speed he had 50 deceptions [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the famous channel says they have it a team that has lived on a turnovers by Govinda Indian tonight with 44 such happenings we told you about their twenty six interceptions the 18 of fumble recoveries and this time the Raiders are turned away as Frank Hawkins pops it up the Seahawks before a delirious partisan problem the first down at 10:00 if the rooms in return a interception against Kansas City 76 yards last week is just picked off the prank Hoffman's crumble and she had the football back at the roll 19 listen to the crime the motion complete the Charlie as first down yardage out over the 30-yard line then let's travel Philadelphia where he was all-pro in his early days and he played for Chuck Knox with the Rams and then of course has recently left the 49 s he is now back with Chuck knops credibly loyal is Chuck Knox his assistant coaches that with him all day and they're good ones Tom Kaplan has done a great job at the defensive court coordinator the offensive coordinator ray Roscoe they've been with Chuck Knox to him veneers of head-coaching from the 32 on person 10 granny there's a foot race back there that McIlroy was just roaming the secondary helping out Lester Hayes and they play it so well Hayes plays it in short on the outside reading it all the way van McIlroy the free safety floating floating until finally the ball is released you know it's really something when you think of the Seahawks ability to constantly come up with the Turner work turnover you know it's not by accident that it happened because Tom Catlin the defensive coordinator you just mentioned he coaches that he big coach on their defense for the first guy to wrap around the guy and everybody else to go for the ball when they come from the top most teams will do that relate in a football game if they're behind but they show it from the first quarter on and that may be one of the reasons forty-five pickles I guess every one of them saddle has five yards passing 60 yards quick snap on a second down of Jim the Blitz is on a Friday down there was contact made and the whistle blew while Alzado getting his hands on Dave Craigan very kindly does not pop him down on this surface false start number 64 Don remains the same o start has got to be that the Raiders were showing that blitz early they were jumping around Ronny sink over left tackle probably figured he did not have the right angle he moved a little quickly and Seattle will be backed up five [Applause] yeah they call that intimidation especially a good listening team will was split the down linemen will split to give those linebackers more room and the deeper offensive lineman is already in his stance and there's nothing he can do and he knows if he doesn't get over it quick he's going to get beat on the first step for wide receivers and we'll look at it from the end zone a good shot watch that secondary starts to move and coming back [Applause] down once again and it was how we long this time is not having the great year he had a year ago but this is one of the strongest cats around it really is he could move quickly and he is powerful well big how he has been getting double-teamed allowed he did a real nice trick here he's up against Reggie McKenzie he pushed him back a little ways then he went outside as that people Devine Lyle Alzado was coming inside picked Reggie off and he was wide open rate high spoon is only been around so much you'd ordinarily find how he long on the left side that time he was over on the right side the loss is all the way back inside the 20-yard line [Applause] in 23 third sack now by the Raiders against a prey we'll watch it again from the end zone this is when that defensive line really puts the ears back and they'll come a great Mogi procedure gets its adorning hey the down goes joining far short of first down yardage but getting a little breathing room out close to the 30 and out comes the punting unit Mike Davis with a good tackle on Dan Dornoch oh damn Dornoch you catch that little swing pass and you know you got about 20 yards to get to the first down it's like a picket fence you see eight defenders coming at you you start throwing every move you've got you may be one of them but it's rare you're gonna beat the a then make it up some move Jeff West is getting a lot of business tonight Seattle unable to fathom the Raider defense g45 the clock is moving remaining in the first half is six front of the ninth deaf West grapefruit the lap time up to 32 mine's a little bit of that picket line and he's out close to the 40 yard line where will be first down in 10 traders with 231 remaining in the first half those diamonds letters will be coming back okay but look how they pick off when you see my TV screen they get the big screen I get this little thing black and white to look at anyway so what are you talking about that's good did you get this as part of your package when you went to USC look out I like it set to go the Raiders first down to 10 the ball just inside the 40 yard line the starting position on their possessions the 39-yard line is Marcus Allen keeps the pass rush honest over the left side gets a couple yards out of it it'll be second down and eight and in comes the specialty past defenders for Seattle and seconds are ticking off towards the two-minute warning and they're going to let it tick off Marcus Allen those have been bitter yards too strong defensive teams both trying to stay close to Denver in the AFC West [Applause] saddled 82 the Raiders seven and three Denver [Applause] tries to lay it up to doki williams and dokin williams well covered by another UCLA alumni kitty Easley remind you have time we're going to be joined Jim Lampley in New York and they're gonna take a look at some of the interesting bachelors who have very interesting white in the National Football League and we are also going to be talking with Mark breelan the gold medalist from the recently concluded Olympics Marcus Allen is in the feature on bachelors by the way Cousineau George started it for Washington offensive lineman Cris Collinsworth [Applause] [Music] 1:54 remaining the Raiders f3 China blitz is on watch some reads up gives it to flip grants but he's buried at the 47 short of the first down Kenny Easley defensively along with John Harris so Seattle will get the ball back seconds are ticking off and the writers will tick it down as much as they can keep in mind seattle use one of their timeouts Dave Craig Kennedy when four receivers came into the game he didn't want to make a mistake down there his go lines we call timeout balls can't see back around the 10-yard line city the first time where a guy has been able to kick away he's watching that clock he'll snap his fingers to get the snap and we're down to three seconds he'll bring it down used everything he could not a good kick dancing at the 17 and he gets out of bounds up near the 25-yard line hustling down there was Stacey currently working from Notre Dame we have 55 seconds remaining in the first half Seattle is down seven to nothing in a penalty whether Seattle lost thirty fourteen they have not got beyond their own 36 yard line tonight here in the first half of 55 seconds remaining Chuck knocks says and readily admits he says hey we just got to get our offensive team playing he's got rusty children with the special teams and he's got his defense playing so well is the offense just really has been performing too well I bet in halftime he will not feel too bad he will not get on the team you'll they feel they're right in the middle of this game this is his type of football game a 1 touchdown game they sure are first intent of all Justin shadows 25-yard line and they open right out [Applause] but unable to get there with Mike Davis in and out of the hands of Darrell turn around a little much a little too much steam on it I agree that is really uncharacteristic of Dave Craig is a great touch [Applause] that's well isn't it let me say earlier the largest single support is that through four cycles going crazy now hit em again Frank I mean the largest single con finish night sir single only Hill is something Oh we'll get it back once there again fake thus far in the first half for of 1034 yards he looks over at something down and ten for the shotgun [Applause] Frank [Applause] trying to get it to vine Walker complain [Applause] well it's not a flag either [Applause] arm wrap that came off one of the players he also lost his shoe tell his Mike Davis deep downfield third down and Jen a lot of you consider night God has really been turned on they've written songs about the Seahawk team they've been playing them constantly thousands of people are here in t-shirts that say Raider Buster's but thus far the bulk of the busting has been done by the Raiders [Applause] this angle you now a chance to see what kind of zones are open back then it's basically zone D got his past patterns going and hey that's his benefit Dan darning short of the first down out of the 31 yard line short by about three in the arms of Howie long 38 seconds will the Raiders stop the clock I believe they will timeout is called by the Raiders let's go quickly to Jim Lampley of New York in Frank the NFC showdown took place in Busch Memorial Stadium in st. Louis Gary Hogeboom back is the starting quarterback for Dallas but this touchdown pass to Springs which led to the victory one of only a few big plays for the cowboy offense much credit for the victory to the Dallas defense which sports six turnovers Zack Neal Lomax five times and now with Dallas tied with Washington the NFC has a look more in keeping with its recent history Denver against San Diego the Broncos continue to show that they have the confidence to win this Elway fast ball to Ray Alexander set up Sammy winders winning touchdown run with just 38 seconds left in the game Alexander bobbled the ball but was able to hold on ease to the game another controlled game for Elway no interceptions and San Diego 13 Pendleton's back to you Frank and Jeff West is on but once again deep is Greg's foot this second part of the night and this was grown flags fly and that should be a first down for the CEO a first down yardage if they mark it off against the Raiders I thought I saw a little move and all that offensive line two opinions well nose will be right [Applause] the Raiders and there was movement at the line of scrimmage and now Jeff West will kick from five yards of deeper [Applause] rusty tilman there you saw in front of Chuck Knox and he's the defensive special team of the special teams coach he was a great special teams performer for the Washington Redskins in his career where he was and he has the best special teams in football here in Seattle networking is deaf West 37 seconds remaining Raiders use one of their three timeouts they want to get the ball back let's see if they can do something with it [Applause] but once again by West great from the 30-yard line had already indicated the fair catch at the very height of that ball he knew he would have no opportunity and it could be those eight fumbles that grapefruit has come up with the bothering just a little bit nice I'd like to see that good luck Franco from me too no I think I'd greet fans up here gonna do I mentioned earlier but for the things that McCormick was saying he says that they really thought their whole season was gone because they've you know wondering we had such a great year a year ago you know even the expectation that Franco would get it together before the season was over I picked up his young football team Raiders leading 7 to nothing you have 30 seconds to remaining in the first half they have the ball near their own 30 yard line they have two timeouts neither team has been offensively 50 mark.wilson you have to wonder [Applause] [Music] from what we have seen in the past that sprained thumb here comes Kenny king Kenny king will get eight yards it'll be second down and two this is lighting away something like the Raiders normally you would think the Raiders of all teamed with try to get in field goal range with two timeouts they gotta let it run down and we'll remind you to stick around for a halftime we're gonna take a look at some of the sporting Baxter's in the NFL and also have a word with mark Breeland NAB so much on the line Seattle eight and two in the AFC West the Raiders are seven and three the Raiders with the win tonight they draw even with Seattle they will poke the two games behind streaking Denver Denver is ten and one Santa will kick off Warren Johnson will put it in Blakeley Montgomery 28 Doki Williams on the five the speedster is back for the Raiders Seattle struggling offensively against a very rugged greater defense in the first half we Montgomery Ethan is in zone he pays the price of a 15-year line and once again the hustling special teams of Seattle yet the Raiders started deep in their own territory please take a look at the stats in the first quarter that -13 passing again reflects two sacks against quarterback Dave pray and will dissolve now and come up with the halftime numbers key thing is Seattle only averaged 1.7 yards per play in the first half satellite only one first down in the second quarter there's a penalty on the kickoff [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] even farther back half the distance to the goal line they mark it inside be a guard line Gabe Kapler comes into the lineup number 87 he was activated before the chicag am a week ago we've been with the Raiders after being released by Minnesota in training camp but he had suffered a very severely sprained arch now say anyway he's memorable years for this veteran not only with the Oakland Raiders but with Houston this down in Cherokee a yard line Seattle is saying they have it no it's covered by the Raiders I believe it was Dave Casper I think Casper fell right on it and it didn't really advance er that's the ball just jumped out look like well something was done because the Raider coaches were trying to signal the timeout as you can see you see Kenny gets outside it maybe should have gone up there as I say the first man is as you can see you saw easily go after the bail first man tackles the runner the Knicks guys are time to get the ball now watch number 45 Kinney easily it'll be me got some great games on the stop you hit it off Jay even he goes for the ball and I believe they got they looked that falls on the inside of them yeah it looked like me that job before that it was on the inside of the playing field caspere made the recovery right at the line of scrimmage and again I did not see a flag I guess it is far across the field but apparently the options are being discussed with Seattle here as our referee Jim honey there are your formation no end of the line of scrimmage penalty is declined second down that was probably gas Purdue was it well he was out there hovering around for a fumble any King at the line of scrimmage penalty its second down and ten [Music] hit hard by Jacob green they got to the line of scrimmage and that's it that's the first individual call Jacob's gotten tonight but he's the guy we missing the top of the show that leaves a demon quarterback sack but that's something else too that the Raiders also Nolan I've been watching you need they kind of have at least two guys play a little bit fishy to Jacob he can make a difference we've got one guy pretty good on him Henry Lauren that's true Wilson in the first half 7 to 15 66 yards he does not grow tonight like the Wilson we've seen so many times badly sprained thumb wearing tape on it as Marcus outside of Allen Park fumbles it could be with scram before John Harris provided the hit on Allen I'd like to be at the bottom of that I wouldn't want to be close I'll get to come away with your socks you see counselor reach in there and Phil pull I don't know who look like theis or somebody pulled off up here well you know the guy who pump in the muck the most weights get the ball Seattle now seven and nothing this is their second turnover they have not turned the ball over themselves that's their 46th turnover of the year they live by it you see mark is the play was designed to go outside he knows he needs a few yards for the first down about eight he's cutting back almost runs into Hulk and is hit by Kenny easily once again and as you can see number 44 they're trying to slap the ball away and they come up with their 46 takeaway and they had the ball at the 13 yard line first down the 10 they trailed 7 to nothing honestly they have been struggling it was Harris who came up with the recovery but in the first half Frank was 4 of 11 for 34 yards great defensive play by the Raiders [Applause] rookie from Tennessee and he gets inside the 10-yard line he'll get three yards it'll be second down in seven that's the big fella right there Sheldon Robinson that covered that ball you saw Harris 44 that pulled it out out you know Jay what continued mented I never heard of that before they went up go for it but I've been watching they've been doing that yeah Tom Chapman he's been around he's been a great defensive coach for a number of years for George Allen down in LA with the Rams of course with Chuck not severe and in Buffalo and now up here is going to excellent job second down and call at six this mark near the 9 yard line [Applause] to see if he has piled up hit at the line of scrimmage will squeeze the yard of it it's going to be third down and five Chuck knocks trying to move the ball on the ground [Applause] well let me tell you they running above me because I think they just planted a little safe but coach Meredith I would keep my eye on number 80 Steve Largent right now he's the man for this Seahawks team whenever they get him into this type of situation and I'm sure Dave Craig as has a play designed to try to hit Steve Loggins margin in the slot [Applause] he wears number 80 okay Lester haze was raining all over Steve Largent he took him on and out poof he took him back in over the middle and so up will come the field goal unit let's watch a great defensive play by Lester Hayes he just was glued to larger well foj knew they're gone through a lot don't you think Lester knew they were going to also now he's really on eBay yeah well unless there was supposed to fall for that out move but let's do pitting you know what he does so well Lester Hayes looks at the eyes of a defender he is playing the defender when that defender receiver looks for the ball brings those hands up in Lester hazel plays the ball George onsen 15 of 17 on the Iran for the field goal attempt of 27 yards Jim Zorn the backup quarterback will place it down Seattle it's on the scoreboard here in the early moments of the third quarter following the turnover there is Lester Hayes one of the finest if not the finest has ever played that's fine on Monday night that's not bad unless you're a Raider and they are twenty one two and one on Monday night boy so many memorable games with these Raiders and that one loss that Seattle has is to the Raiders dorm Johnson to kick-off Lee Montgomery is deep along with Doki Williams Johnson hangs it up the coverage get deep down fear there come Sophie Williams Oh [Applause] oh my back really all activated on poop back should be along any the man they told us about he is really something on special team down a New Mexico State a rookie he's got to be a rookie that good is a lot when they get to the second year and you got you mentioned on do fact number 35 you see coming in there to is what activated today oh that was do fact underneath and young on top he got it do Peck has been cut by the Seahawks five times he keeps coming back they keep getting it back in there Reserve today tomatoes 15-yard line powerful hitting you tonight Wilson check flop Marcus good because I keep sensing at about a seven yard sprint to get to Alan one of the great open field runners and he made the tackle now if I was in charge of the wave juice I would have it flowing right now because you can kind of sense though momentum shifting a little bit and they say it bothers only that offensive team this is what it get up and do it yeah I think they were the Raiders wouldn't be able to hear the count and they certainly wouldn't be able to hear any audible that Wilson may want to call second no.10 with the 17 yard line Hawkins he almost lost that one again Joe Nash and Jacob green us a lot of Defense give him a yard a yard and a half on that but it's a little third down and long and there are those Raider Busters t-shirts that I spoke out earlier and that's exactly what the Seahawks are doing right now busting up some waiters 40,000 of those t-shirts were sold in with Seattle area and there goes away kind of a treat loon of a way [Applause] as we watched it in the first half that screen font has been bothering in time to get at the Norfolk Island was well-covered Keith Simpson was there also linebacker Fred young we're gonna hear a lot about Fred yagi hit they're dissipating grace the Mexico State crowd loves it every guy comes on to punt for the Raiders balls can't see drops back stance is going tonight instead of Kenny Easley who replaced Paul Jones who was injured earlier in the year and Kenny easily came into the night leaving the AFC and returned but tonight Seattle chooses to go with scan see while the Pittsburgh Steeler ray guy it's a beauty scan see and works out over the 35 to the 36 Seattle ah the first down and 10 I talked about the excitement the energy that you could feel in this city over the Seattle Seahawk team they've done a lot of things and written the song local station KUB II put it on the air is called Raider busting let's hear a little bit of it when things get tough for old Chuck knocks who's he gonna call cuz the Raiders are coming in to play the Hogs who should be calm [Music] [Applause] they've had a lot of fun up here but there are some pretty bitter feelings [Applause] this series between Seattle Raiders last year the Raiders 2004 two of those losses were to Seattle then of course we beat them in the AFC Championship the Raiders bananana thirty fourteen in tantrayana Dave Frank hasn't sat it away Boyet Charlie young wide open in the middle there if somebody missed their men I see rod Martin is pointing to Charles young tell him one of his teammate that was your man Dave Greg is smiling he smacked his fist into his hand he saw what you saw Don Oh Jay Charlie Young was wide open so his completion percentage and you know David certainly a fine young quarterback I think coming into this week's game he was like fourth in the league for greater than at least in American Football Conference but against the rigors he's never completed 50% of the class had a quick look at Jim Plunkett could be ready to go tonight if they needed him activated injured five weeks ago muscle tear in a game that the Raiders won against Seattle 2814 this is the second meeting second attend the pitches on breaks the market for a home and a safety just bizarre that could spark this ball club you bet it good Mike Davis was on a safety blitz if somehow Kraig got away from the sure-footed Mike Davis as you can see Davis is coming from the left side of your screen Reggie McKinsey goes over put a pretty nice block on him but by doing that he opened it up a how he long who Craig was able to avoid and a hustle down field and get the first down Craig to the 47 yard line the longest run from scrimmage tonight that was draw guards TUC defensive play look at those offensive lineman said this was going to be a fast guys change it off I was Bob Crider the right tackle coming down the line of scrimmage at great years in New England false start number 78 five yards down remains the same good about five seconds and allow our stations to identify themselves as they mark it off [Applause] bitterly fought important game in the AFC West Seattle eight and two the Raiders are seven three trying to stay with Denver at ten and one defensive game in the first half Los Angeles with one sustained Drive hitting seven points they moved 46 yards for that the seattle seahawks got a turnover early in the they got a 27-yard field goal from Warren Johnson that's to score seven to three the Raiders of the Seahawks first down fifteen break again getting out of trouble in Prague again picking up yardage back to the original line of scrimmage or close to it as he's chased out of bound by oldest McKenna Nik Howie long is so close and yet so far away you mentioned earlier Frankie's not having to hear yet last year I think he's still playing good ball he just couldn't double and triple team and that's twice he was within a foot of sacking Craig and he just couldn't quite get there oh I think he's one of those truly great ones coming on but he is he got a lot of people's attention a year ago he got Craig's attention the last two plays to Keaton went for 13 sacks a year ago went to the Pro Bowl out of Villanova big number 75 both quarterbacks thus far tonight have one receiver completion to a wide receiver then that kind of game [Applause] from the shotgun in September 81 geralt Ernie's got a lot of speed and he's hammered down Otis McKinney but Darryl Turner they look at the Michigan State with a 44 yard pickup it'll be first down at the 10 yard line Seattle and the good thing that Darrell Turner did on this play he never gave lester hayes an indication that the ball was coming watch this Lester normally could have still taken a shot at the ball but he never gave an indication that the ball was coming and unless there never knew when to react to the ball what did Chuck Knox say about him when the we're in San Diego two weeks ago he's deceptively fast had a great career at Michigan 78 receptions second round draft pick and he had just given Seattle an opportunity to take the lead in this game they trailed seven three eight 51 the clock is moving here in the third quarter Gregor's back this time he'll go down the Blitz was on Bob Nelson was in there from linebacker and bill pickle the nose tackle I think that's one things that happens to the quarterback when he has a little success running he doesn't go back and set up you see two guys pushing and it's got the old buddy Reggie out there he's mad at Sonny I thought he was fighting one is going in there trying to keep him away from the defense Frank was able to squeeze back towards the line of scrimmage so there was only a loss of two it'll be second down and 12 we're seeing a lot of Pakal tonight because along with Matt Millen the strong side linebacker and a good one indeed Reggie Kinlaw ordinarily would be in there there Mikell is out to the groin hole as is matt village [Music] [Applause] yeah goodbye and good play it was Jeff Barnes a linebacker on the left side who was very close to use all the way out of the backfield well I think Reggie has gotten a little too excited I saw him get fit mares right before the ball was snapped he's had a history of getting sick on a football field Ahmad Rashad used to tease them because his weight is so low that he's always the guy to eat he eats a lot of bacon the morning of a game and uh leave your big fresh ones I saw him again he just left the football field but he'll be back in there let's don't get too graphic third down goal to go the shotgun and no the Raiders one timeout they looked at perhaps a different set so the Raiders have expended a timeout they could gain 10 up he's a little lighter but he's back in there yeah well rich you know he leaves a lot to this team he was voted the most inspirational player by the guys who came in he started team meetings and he really got this team thinking like a team but he came into the league he played with me at 233 pounds that was a rally you know rather light for a lineman so he has to eat a lot to keep that weight up I don't want to know whatever third down goal to go pray Delilah in the second half three of four before the entire first half he was 4 of 11 for 34 yards Goggan ridge from the shotgun third and goal - in motion it comes down with it between two defenders great effort then McIlroy was there Esther Hayes was there and larger one of the superb players though that is brand Walker byron walker i thought it was I thought it was larger to look like a large that we seemed to hit so many pens Dexter out of Citadel he has the hide he's 64 but he makes a spectacular catch in between McIlroy and Hayes there's Hayes covering man-to-man he'll get help from McEnroe on the inside and down he comes that ball had to be there didn't it a little place that we could have been Seattle moves out on top the second half you also saw Reggie come back make a good block as a matter of fact referee once again tonight Jim honey relatively penalty-free tonight Pfeiffer point was successful offside defense there he is Byron Walker got it in on a third down and nine six 490 pounds and you're right Don Dave Craig had to have it right in there you see right behind that was Reggie McKenzie this had a block in here this kid almost drops the ball if you look at it from this angle he had it once the priests have pulled it back in come back home he said come back home lester hayes at position a great pass by dave pray if you were with us earlier dokey Williams ordinarily would be back brake fluid is in there dopey Williams really hammered by Fred young the rookie from New Mexico State he's getting a little Jorn Johnson to kickoff who Lincoln [Music] watch it he'll cover it that ball is alive so the Raiders with momentum switching will have a first down at 10 after 20 yard-line let's take a look at the scoring drive for Seattle they can evolve with their own 37-yard line that yellow is a penalty big long black one was a nice pass completion over the middle actually again to the inside of Lester Hayes the touchdown pass was inside of Lester Hayes and not really knowing the defensive coverage Lester maybe should've had help from the inside on both little fellers big play was a 44 yard pickup by the rookie for this just eight Darryl Turner first down and ten the ball at the 20 yard line Mark Wilson back good protector Wilson gets the ball to Malcolm bar [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you would have to be able to cut down inbound with both feet Barnwell had he come down not being hit by the defender no way he could have come down with both feet inbounds well he has his man beat once again it's the pass that's a little off line I don't understand what Malcolm could have been debating this is not the mark.wilson we've watched before a great arm and again he has that white thumb but the sprain week ago against the Bears heavily Jake second down at Jim they frankly have to admire his courage I know that has to be hurting I don't know what they've done to it but we can go against the Bears he was knocked out of that game on a big day for Richard dent of the Bears the Bears applying nine sacks to the Raider quarterbacks and Danny was taken out of the game with a very severely sprained thumb he was in being x-rayed when David Hume was on as the quarterback he David her mother and David Hahn went out with an injury quickly it was mark.wilson back into the lineup ray Kyle had some nervous moments because he's the emergency quarterback opponent for the third down and ten djenka dreams have 177 the two outside men Mike Fanning who comes in on the floor man down [Music] they love it they are aware of the standings in the AFC West Denver on top ten to one a Raider lost tonight they've brought the seven and for Seattle to go to nine and two and they play Denver twice in the remaining five games where a guy on the punts can see is deep awaiting ray guys punt scans easily going forward big Simpson is saying I did nothing Otis McKinney was saying yes he did it was fourth and 14 [Applause] and Jim Tunney will sort it out [Applause] well this drought is something they just hold their breath between plays on us great sports fans up here [Applause] holding indicated against Seattle well we mention their game within games number 96 ten yards first down the holding took place after the scan see a field of the ball the supercharged Kingdome in Seattle Washington all these fans seemingly dressed in white with those t-shirts that have been selling like hotcakes and said radarbusters across the front with the earlier game five weeks ago the Raiders who won 28 14 and it was the Raiders in the AFC Championship game a year ago they won thirty fourteen over Seattle Roy Craig has a hot hand [Music] [Applause] to profession he's all of the in field goal [Applause] plus the first downhill missile by about a foot I believe Jax Wyrick made the stop of the former Washington State star came to Seattle a couple of years ago the defensive player out there was Bob Nelson he'll swing back to the outside look for your man here comes Dornoch looking for the inside I think you're gonna see Reggie show up right there maybe you saw Robert practice 61 came up then put a heck of a block on Bob Nelson who Reggie's came up a little later on it short the first 30 yard [Applause] filled it out the first out with venom has definitely switched I was saying before we went to commercial that there are games within games and one game you play as the game of field position meant in first half the Raiders won that contest and they were ahead in the football game and here in the second half it's been all Seahawks they've had the ball around midfield on each punt and their head in the football game ten seven right at the 49 yard line at the first time margin goes up with a copy of screen to the right general Turner standing for Michigan State those are the wide receivers perfect into the arms of committee unsanitary Yong 30 yard pickup boys by Craig and his right pressure and he had to throw it perfectly Don look at dad door ting number 33 he had a good pick-up lock from the other side that was perfectly brung right over the outstretched arms of Jack's fire certainly helped when you get this much time to throw the ball you don't feel the pressure Charles young once one of the great receivers in the game of football when he whipped Philadelphia that was a lot of years ago but we got a good career all over the league he went to the Super Bowl obviously with the 49ers and that's probably the biggest play of the year in dad for this Seahawks 15 3 section the Charlie young and that is the biggest the drive is still alive Turner with another spectacular catch you see laughter hey Vince on health Turner now is Bernays twice 44 that led to a Seattle score now he hits the 20 yards out another well throw Paulo je his rifle this ball look at that follow-through and I've Esther's planning to the outside and after this blade he gives Baron McElroy a long look and I think he did expect to get some inside help but it was a perfectly foam path and he meant family's alert to it I don't know if he could afford anything about it Daryl Turner has really taken up the slack for the loss of wire diseases local towns Warren Johnson on for the conversion shell already needs to 18 there it is they make of 17 area is an outstanding rookies second-round draft pick from Michigan State we saw in San Diego a couple of weeks ago looking good the kickoff and during the commercial this crowd went absolutely bananas they Montgomery is back with grapefruit Seattle Noah they can't count on the Raiders equipment they don't know what it means to win [Applause] really special here in Channel to fact once again activated today listen to this problem our Raiders have watched the momentum switch first and ten at the 15-yard line if you need to get something going Wilson steps into the huddle and the youngster the Michigan State Darryl Turner having a big night and against the Primera t back in football Lester Hayes a couple of touchdowns given up a 44 yard pickup by journey Wilson under throws the fifth branch but he was under pressure it'll be second and ten once again CFA action continuing this Saturday is the big 8 powers get together number one Nebraska sixth ranked Oklahoma and what a classic that will be barrio watch number 10 ranked Texas get it on against the surprising TCU in a battle for Southwest Conference honors down there today local listings for the game in your area CFA college football live at 3:30 Eastern here on ABC the threaded Frog from Fort Worth or have raised their head they're going after this shoe Dennis Wilson old for five here in the second half good hearts come running and that's what you get for Hawkins they get seven out of it well the pressures on the Raiders off at the unit they've been pretty ineffective in recent weeks in the matter back in the last eight regular season game that they've scored less than 20 points in they have not won and in the NFL today I believe you gotta you gotta be averaging in the high twenties and mid twenties if you're gonna be a winning football team offensive points that is right third down along to a record crowd has been announced here in the Kingdome 64108 canard set three in the Seahawks net the Dallas Cowboys Wilson and he comes down with it that was on a third down in free Jerry Taylor the first round plastic out of Southern Illinois I'm sure not thinking deep but again Wilson got the completion but had he just let Barnwell a little bit if six points you got to give Malcolm bone farm we'll all the credit here the ball is thrown over his outside shoulder unning down the middle of the field makes a great adjustment there really if they catch the ball falling away from it is it's an incredible catch on his part in a specially we consider the the value of the catch at this point in the game if nothing else the Raiders will have field position from the rest of his portal yeah that's a young mistake by turner terry taylor they're looking for Southern Illinois he had good good position he just didn't think that Wilson is going to hang it up there on a third down the first time was at the 33-yard line the hands of Frank Hawkins too much on it maybe a little too picky or a little too critical but again that was an eye example if Mark had laid the ball more out in the center of the field I think Malcolm had the speed to judge he adjusted behind him they would have testing he has that speed to go deep I mentioned earlier in the game he has already caught six passes this year over 40 yards the thing about a sore thumb everybody's played with him I Playland had one kind of crack a little bit you look at the big Jacob Green Lake everybody knows he's there but that soweth arm act he could be getting a little bit more sore later in the game because he's been using it and getting that snap from center he's pounding right on that right hand I would take a green just forget him he launched the man he's been working against all night adjustable with second down and ten the drain almost got so Wilson but Wilson is able to get it to Barnwell and Barnwell will at first down yardage at the 20-yard line Keith Simpson laying off Barnwell because of that great speed well these guys have certainly taken some liberties with the Raiders historically they're not a team that you points a finger to and argue at two of too much they're a little different rate of team you know when I played they they're a team that got a lot of two of these mostly be closely the aggressive time he always came out on the field I got a lot of fun Necessary Roughness as you pointed out it was supplying game last week we only have one pin will be for five yards and of some characteristic of the Raider team that is in the first quarter first and ten when trying to get to find what he is well covered by Dave Brown and Dave Brown was getting help from John Harrison three safety these safety theme he having very little trouble and reading Wilson because I saw him get a real Chuck on in that time the minute music over there asked came over and there's a good thing the ball was thrown high otherwise I'm I think the Seahawks would have had another turnover you see that the 21 foot branch walked over and said something to Mark Wilson when you better believe after 13 years in this league that Mark Wilson is going to listen uh number 21 cliff branch multi-view see this when I slipped into that second pretend I still look with John Chrysostom down there Christians head first down bobbled the ball with blue channel has again the end of the night leading the NFL along with Denver with 44 turnovers they had three tonight Christensen has the first down it had been birth down goal to go dick Brennan makes the recovery well done you call it you said they'd be looking for Todd they almost had to you go into that center part of the field out there with you big guys he just a little turn in missed him right there and there's a qiblah Simpson and he did nothing but go for the ball he knew the tackle whether Sheriff John Harris riding his back accepting this bet the ball loose but you know you run the risk of having a lot of broken tackles when you try to town for the ball like that but I guess they do a lot of tackling deals updated the first man does an excellent job of securing the runner and the other guys have that latitude after the boy [Applause] [Music] joining this is what they really need to pull it together defensively there you see a little bit of little bit more gear when that Raider of defense but they they didn't score but the best next best thing is to make a punt real quick like oh you're right now we're saying the team that's been having the offensive success has been the team that's had the pill position if nothing else the Raiders should if the game continues to go the way it has had the field position if nothing else for the rest of the game we're seeing a lot of dawning tonight because David Hughes injured his wrist he was the starter along ribs brother man along with back Dixon guarding quite an early videos all along holding on passing situations but he made big plays tonight and he just picked up four yards with second down and six Gregg he moves well that was incomplete Bernie was well-covered Jack squiring defensively once again squire akin there at linebacker or an injured Matt Millen well they say that he's been a qubit being conservative which he is in LA for a while they even call Chuck Knox teams boring but that one thing you can say he's always won and he won the division every year he was there for six years once he went up to Buffalo with you Oh Jamie turned around a program up there went into the play putting the division once annoying then as a wildcard last year in his first year here they got Seattle into the playoffs the first time in their eight-year history Vermonter coach this is the biggest play that there's a second thing don't jump outside third and six then van MacElroy and he held on to that football he was spun around he was shaken up earlier in the game well I tell you that with damn Dornoch who was running the pattern I think the ball with the gym uniform and all he did was just reach one arm out and grab McIlroy's leg as he was in the air and he flipped right over on his back that McIlroy once again slow getting up let's take a look at it from the endzone it ain't lonesome up there it's not lonesome yeah this is a little scary and it's noisy in there that is rod Martin was there he gets the ball trying to get it to Dorney he did throw it behind him and look at this flip he just got his rap on the head looked like he came hopefully if worst thing that me just knocked the breath out of him because he looked like he hit round his back rather than his head well we'll talk about the great fans that'd be a lot of fans would be cheering for a hit like that but this is the quiet concerned fans up here in Seattle you can see makes a very nice jet the balls dead at this point even if he would have dropped it the ball was already dead because he was on the ground and he had the ball secure McIlroy if you weren't with us earlier he went out in the first quarter they worked on his neck and it appear that though he had on a tackle jammed his neck and if you've ever had that happen to you you know that you go to a stinging ringing type of feeling but now he is being assisted off the field we'll try and get a definitive word on the extent of the injury that he once again he appears to be all right and he is shaking that hand and I just hazard a guess that he is once again hence the nerve in the neck bands awfully tough back there you know we talk so much about the two corners that they have but when you look at the safeties they're not bad either of that I mentioned the tackling statistic that McIlroy has with him so he's got to be a tough cookie Seattle's first turnover and it gives the Raiders great field position they trail 17 to 7 we have 136 remaining in the third quarter have the football inside the 27 yard line let's bring it out outside great games stringing it out and Alan will get three mcelroy boy he is a good been doing you don't hear much about him because the great play of my Keynes and Lester Hayes that McIlroy in the AFC for interceptions year ago and went to this first Pro Bowl the third-year guy out of Baylor Frankie's graphic earlier indicated wealth in a section of his career that's not bad they've marked it inside the 24 single step back second down and six good blocking over the left side where Shelby Jordan is working along with Kurt Marsh steps out of Keith Simpsons hands there Keith he made a pretty good cut on him but keep this good keep his beaters balanced and frankly able to move right through it inside the 15 first down in 10 time flurries and you can bet Tom just told Marcus to tell the whole huddle you know those guide to going after the ball I wouldn't remind my box about I wouldn't even say anything about it normally I would but at this stage of the game I'd say away from one defender good yardage to the 10 yard line gaining a four it'll be second down at six Joe Nash will tackle sliding off a block to make the stop you might see an indication in a situation like this we're a team thinks that they have the best chance of running I know Jay we used to have someplace we had run the left side some we wouldn't run to the right vice versa they've run to the left side here the last three times where it is the van McEvoy should be back second down and six as we ride down [Applause] good running by Hawkins and he should have another Raider first down inside the 5-yard line box top with two seconds remaining in the third quarter and I believe that's just two untile the Seattle defenders the offensive line for the Raiders seem to that more surge in the last Seattle over the Raiders 17 to 7 but the Raiders were threatening we'll be back for fourth quarter action after back as we begin the fourth quarter action 17 to 7 the Seattle Seahawks over the Los Angeles Raiders it'll be third down less than a yard to go for the Raiders that was a very close match when it was so close as a matter of fact on the scoreboard they already put up a first down and goal to go they still have it up there yeah they sure do well partisan crowd partisan slug deeper flare it down in inches this is really interesting they have been spectacular on third down and short third down and three or less 17 consecutive time [Applause] [Music] [Applause] one of the reasons long letter 5 9 to 10 he gets the first down now it's first down goal to go anything that was certainly a big plus for the writers not to make that first down they picked up an extra down there now first down and go for the three time to call air traffic control again maybe little early a couple of couple of flights couple of short flights file Alzado has gone into the Raider locker room some kind of a leg injury we'll try and get the word on that when he had a big first half what unusual to see great through it in the game now but I guess not they thinking about throwing the football obviously that was your air control with a different jet sitting over the top down close to the one-yard line it'll be second down goal to go I think we get a little commuter flight coming in there it comes 32 532 from LA the Seattle Marcus Allen in our second delicate and he went for four touchdowns against San Diego we understand the mark something had to leave the game because they have stick him on his hand that's not allowed anymore we get it off the guys the watcher the two outside guide that people turn that corner hit my before just for the line of scrimmage and jump Marcus Allen they caught him in midair came down maintained his balance somehow got into the end zone and the Raiders draw closer now that was the good play was it the cookbook good Taylor took football was such a good athlete great body control he gets down around that endzone he reminds me of Paul Hornung smells what they call it smelling Mangala hailing the goal line look at that tap a nice balanced beautiful yeah that was pretty that'll bring Chris far out for the conversion a tip for bringing the Raiders to within a field goal [Applause] the three-point separation Seattle still maintains the lead 1714 over the Raiders in a very important AFC Western game 30 Moffat said the fourth-quarter Seattle with a 17-14 lead over the Raiders and now we have another return man for Seattle back there is Randall boys to look you out of Tennessee joins a Zack Dixon and Chris bar will kick off [Applause] fix it at the nine-nine [Applause] 25 down in Seattle let's take a look at the scoring drive remember it is a van McElroy interception turnovers it was so important in this game yep interesting note all runs sooner he helped the start on the bet when you let your thumb rest if you're the quarterback you weren't with us earlier Mark Wilson one of the pure passes in the game today has had a difficult time reaching his receivers tonight he has the thumb to spray the week ago against the Bears heavily taped but obviously it has affected his play tonight [Applause] Alzado is back whatever was troubling Lyle Alzado was alright he saw him walking down the sidelines board the Raider bench [Applause] first warned under down he goes it was bill Pakal the nose tackle is filling in very well tonight for an injured Reggie Kinlaw there'll be a loss all the way back to the 20-yard line [Applause] they continue to number 54 of the raiders metacourse of Daryl Byrd backup linebacker and Hakeem in with his special teams the crowd is certainly quieted down a little bit happy I think they've just realized that Moe may have shifted again let's shift it back and forth tonight two great defensive teams but they're not able to generate anything attack there in terms of office large it moving around out there number 80 great play Mike Hayes that was a terrific play large it started a little Rufe motion one way came back another way Mike Haynes was right with it ran right with him and there's another one that has a great instinct to just reach out the last moment look at it and black not that thing that large and hasn't been able to really beat them on a lot of passes with moves so but they what they've been doing with them all night is running a long cross patterns just to run away from the defender and Mike Haynes it's a tough man to run away from down 16 which once again oh it's so fickle [Applause] bust her haze quitter let him go that's past as well overthrown Gerald Turner but Lester Hayes has been burned tonight he has given up a couple of touchdowns and a big gainer that got Seattle back in this game 42 yards on that penalty Buster takes so much pride in his ability to play that position you might get to that point this stage of the game where he's pressing a little bit there is a Seahawk that is slow getting up you can see that running I think they're gonna get their legs got it sort of tangled right here blows their legs got tangled there 80 Turner was slowing up to come back to the ball Hayes who had been playing Turner looked back for the ball and ran right up Darryl turned his legs on the third and 16 this the Hawks will take it any way they can get it won't him and say I blame him we're not trying to identify the saddle Seahawk until we get no I think it's Darryl Turner I find on his number Yahoo's Turner he never got up from that entanglement entanglement that's very good first down and ten for Seattle they'll have the ball near the third shaken up on that play that group asset appeared from Lester Hayes in a 42-yard picked up at a shadow first down at the 39 yard line saddle on top 1714 early minutes of the fourth quarter in a critical game of the AFC West [Applause] Hey as the ball popped out of his hands I don't want his arm is in motion and I the flag is down we could get the holding call against the Seahawks they'll be backed up so much pressure one of those offensive linemen felt he had to grab how to remind you coming up tonight on Nightline with Ted Koppel a look at us the US bishops controversial stand on the economy there's a dangerous medley guests include one of the bishops and William F Buckley Jr that's tonight on Nightline following your late local news on most of these ABC stations Blair Busch the center detected holding Gregg had little or no chance then they swarmed all over him tried to just pop that ball loose and that was rather a dangerous effort [Applause] it'll be first down in 20 especially fast event players come into the ballgame those are the penalties that have been assessed tonight [Applause] [Music] [Applause] drop play joining out of the shotgun there's a seal the Raiders Dornoch it's four out of it back to the 45 yard line where it will be third down at about 17 that heads-up play by Otis McKinney that damn obviously they were looking for the pastor that fast defense and it's kept his head up so dad coming through the line second down I'll correct myself I think I said lay down but he stuck it down in 17 and with Alzado on the bench and we were looking for him he came back from the locker room the rookie Shawn Jones out of Northeast good pass but sure they think they're going to have [Applause] and in and out of the hands of Chris Koster Paul was there just ran a field James Davis good coverage back there now it'll bring up third and 17 and he got the big four guys up front putting the rush on they played man 2 covered man man back here the back said look at him every one of those guys have got one little Seahawk for their stick it to him aren't they great shot now here's David Davis perfect position and right the last it didn't have to that was James Davis in strength ninja number 45 at good position boy they play that man all of them looking at the man not even a glance back to see if the ball has been released twittering tonight for Seattle a rookie for Michigan State Turner almost pops it loose gets to about the 43 yard line only a gain of three but again a flag is down we could have another holding call don't Seattle waiters really putting the pressure on those offensive line and it just apparently feel compelled to hold trying to make sure that they've Prague survives holding 78 offense be primed forked up Bob brighter over the right side that'll bring out Jeff West to the punting unit great crew it will settle back around the 10-yard line Jeff West doesn't kick it long but he ride up there time to believe in the NFL kicking it out of bounds inside the 20 he's very good at it [Applause] fix it hi this time he's just looking for the coverage and he's going to get it scrambled and just down they're not gonna write did they knock it out leave it in I think that was bred young down there first and I believe he tried to cover it goodbye get a handle on it I've lived without the inside [Applause] bring it out to the 20 it's a touchback and they had great position on it we'll watch it from the reverse angle that's why we have this camera there he is number 50 and he had it right in his hands and bless his heart is his slipped on half that was awfully close look at it that is the half lay closer [Applause] [Music] [Applause] crowd doesn't like it the official right on top of it so the Raiders rather than being inside there we did go to the Denver Broncos the Broncos are looking on they still have to play Seattle two games remainder of their schedule they are ten and one of the AFC West Seattle ended and I the Ravens seven and three first down a ten delay was the ball at the 20 yard line [Applause] Marcus Allen and Alan will have the first down after the 30 to a 13-yard pickup just take a look at the playoff fiction we mentioned that Denver on on top 10 to 1 Danny's home Danny's don't watch it builds that's the a that's a tight race to Dallas in Washington tied up there at the top in the simple division of the NFC it's Chicago with a runaway lead look at San Francisco sitting there intending one those guys were glance the ball we got Fred Dean back now they're gonna eat me Tucker we have them a little later in the year against the Rams on first contender what's in his back Christiansen Israel Christian said that desire the first down marker doesn't quite get to it as a black been dropped back there kind of a deep secondary I gives down at the 45-yard line it yep yeah cliff branch over there he's been double-team can be easily with one of the two guys and maybe they got a little too aggressive yeah well let him sort it out sadder does not seem too happy about it and while they do let's take a look at that AFC picture we mentioned a moment ago laters desperately needing a victory tonight there it is in the AFC Miami with that Lebanon OH mark by the margin bonus conversion yesterday now here are the other contenders and they are just that contenders at this moment and the Raiders with good bTW they can be a lot of trouble seven for sitting right here with not to me left to play five games after tonight throw to the first down is Todd Christensen still haven't got this flag each play here comes Jim honey [Applause] to the number 22 is declined place down it'll be second down with contact against Dave Brown I think he was bumping the receiver past the 5-yard lemon as she double bump right bump bump bump bump golf shoe five another Raiders off to take that what if it doesn't first down they almost on the first down right here they're so good at that that's an incredible statistic it's you mentioned earlier Frank up up but 17 pounds in a row that third and one was ending tonight remaining 18 today 18 in the past this would be a perfect situation for the Raider to go down field but as we saw before the end of the first half I think there will be a little more conservative and just trying to get the first down so situation we're good back look for it because he knows they are all be a good friend keep you from getting the first down and you may be able to pop it go all the way [Applause] Frank often has it easily out over the 45-yard line the Raiders keep it alive within 45 remaining here in the fourth quarter at Seattle on top 1714 imagine Hawkins is going to wrap his hands around that ball don't you imagine well he had a little hesitation I can see that he thought at one point maybe I can bounce outside if you fear to have a limitation at the line of scrimmage you looked outside he said I've got it get the first down okay so that big offense at last our movement boys do not think I'll follow them posting 10 inside the 46 yard shadow comes with the blips the France all along the man-to-man coverage Dave Brown covers foot French but not until he moves into Seattle territory near the 49 gate of five the cliffs first catch of the night for second second catch of the night you know he's the guy that we mentioned at the top of the show he's missed two games two and a half games and Raiders lose but no Cliff's not there he's not been terribly effective tonight but maybe just have him back in it gives him the big lift it needs one more down for about 500 500 that's the end of the most amazing career thirteen years he's been doing it averaging just under 18 yards a reception at 67 touchdowns over that time [Applause] [Music] John Harris that was mine that Mark Dolson given the throne he knows it yeah he sure does he struggling tonight that bomb is about to be affecting his performance really too many times really does he also had Todd Christensen open about 10 to 20 yards down the field and his mind made up when he went out there he's throwing when he grows to his left you see him try and throw it all on a whole arm trying to protect that son but he didn't even come close to clear feta mark on Harris brings it back to the 20-yard line in Seattle leading 1714 with 921 remaining in the game whatever first damage in a good tackle by Marcus stays in single setback we told you David newsgroups listen turning around the neck though who works for about three yards it'll be second down and seven let's watch the way he throws done you could finally talk about me you see he's just right there he just didn't get his body through it and that thumb you know I don't really know how you can't tell that how much is it hurts but you know it hurts himself but he really didn't get his body back behind it and he's you're proud of it aren't you John I don't blame him John Harris picked that one off but that was like almost fair catch and that one's up there so long they watch somebody Quentin throw a baseball with a sore finger that's how Wilson was delivering the ball that's the time remaining in the game we got out of trouble around into a bunch more in the form of Jack's wiring I lost in the play in that play you saw what Rod Martin played in the Pro Bowl last year the all his man he forced Dixon to think about going up then he forced him to go outside then he got in on the tackle let's take care of inside there bad piece of news for the Raiders Lyle Alzado probably will not be back he currently a pulled groin so many pulls on this greater team surface at the Coliseum where they've been playing it ever really put back into shape after the Olympics posted it right into the football season sandhya spots that's how you get the poles [Applause] I think Craig's arm was hit that will be an incompletion and another flag is down we'll hear from Jim Tony again eliminar indication illegal use of hands on the part of Seattle and hey the Raiders have not stopped coming all night till they do to the hand 78 pink wine worth that Bob brighter he's having a tough night against how he long been such a good ball game defensively all night you got to get these guys figure that's there now if this stays in the game the Raiders got to get this ball back there are three points down they've got to come away released a vehicle key possession and they should get it in relatively good field position depth West doesn't kick long he's getting well tonight but he'll put it up there high breakthrough it awaits the ball at his own 40-yard line [Applause] it did go hot and Gregg didn't even hesitate almost when I left the foot he knew how high and how long is it hang he makes the fair catch at the 40-yard line good field position for the Raiders they have 738 remaining with a hot hand yesterday for the Saints alive if you live for a while fired shot misses even have C West in the steamers [Music] sound of generator on 49 Marcus Allen puts the head down pulled for about four after the 44 yard line great games on the stop for Seattle they were lucky to get a gain on that somebody must be leaning or tilting because the Seahawks seem to know exactly what they were running and everybody slanted to that way and the linebacker was on his toes leaning forward he almost commits to tried to get over there it's second down and seven [Music] a remarkable athlete the cast attempt of Malcom Malcom Barnwell the once again no zip on that ball you know the thumb has got to be a problem for Mark Wilson I just hung up there that didn't have any zipper you can almost see him throw the ball off of his fingertips rather keeping that thumb involved where he comes across it with that thumb lorica palming the ball a little bit good job by easily as a matter of fact know where that Alabama's is he did a good job I think it helped him should have stopped at one point maybe this maybe was supposed to run enough at him but he wide open maybe if he would have stopped he wouldn't have to lead him up feel so much it's such a good athlete that Sports Illustrated article on this week I asked him where are all the American decathletes he said they're all playing strong safeties on first and 10 dawnie gain of about 3/4 Dornoch and they are working on the right hand of Kenny easily that as you can see has already been wrapped he has obviously in pain he said just don't touch it just leave me alone for a minute just leave me alone the smart will go away it hit them with a hammer it feels so good would it stopped hurting move it out over the 39 so it's a gain of 4 second down and 6 time starting to become a bit of a factor with sianeth can roll up some breakdowns data leading 1714 david frank being ever so careful at this point in the game didn't want to have the wrong thing called against the right defense so he'll use a timeout and seattle will have two timeouts remaining and confer with head coach Chuck Knox when I remind you again five this Thursday night 8 o'clock Eastern 7 central 8 o'clock Pacific it's the goal tonight in boxing history as five members of the 84 United States Olympic boxing team make their professional debut you saw mark Freeland talking to Jim Lampley at half time for now Whitaker will be there Meldrick Taylor Evander Holyfield and Tyrell Biggs all among spectacular cars that's this Thursday live at 8 o'clock Eastern 7 central right here on ABC and I don't want to miss that if you watch what Howard Cosell said compared or maybe was even better than the 76 boxing Olympic team and of course out of that group in 76 games Sugar Ray Leonard who knows maybe mark Breeland is the next Sugar Ray Leonard they kick it all off and Thursday night their professional careers but my choice for the next Sugar Ray Leonard out of that group would be Parnell Whittaker the big fan of his you'd really get the watch butts in the boxing but Hollyfield myself no no it's not big one epic West Sugar Ray Leonard 613 remaining in the game [Applause] have a second down and six the ball near the 39 yard line [Applause] a late flag coming this time is dirty that's after about the 42 yard line [Applause] holding is what the purpose the indication we get from Mike Davis who from the Raiders holding Seattle with this record crowd here at the Kingdome is going to take away a third and to situation for Seattle they'll be backed up jack knocks the only head coach let's listen to Jim Tony offense 67 [Music] regi Mackenzie our dimension technics is the only coach in the game who has taken three different teams to the playoff he did it with the Rams winning five straight division titles out there anyone up to puffle oh and did it with the bill winning a division going in as a wild card and last year his first year here wrong with the assistance he brought Tom Catlin and offensive coordinator ray Bosque Roscoe second down 16 9 Shawn Jones Ricky from northeastern is saying he was drawn off who's gonna argue with him then getting a little sticky a little messy little sloppy here in the late going but India has been a hard-hitting game and Jim honey you better not mess for the media is pretty firm out there [Applause] but watch the center number I guess this 59 at move number 59 in the middle of your screen just the twits John Jones made the move Blair Busch whether he did or whether you didn't he still had to deal with it didn't yep well you call it a feint that's what they call it in boxing safe a ninny maluca okay you can move a finger on that ball and the way those guys are wired out there are the passing situation they're gonna move so now back to close to the original line of scrimmage every second down a little more than 10 608 remaining [Applause] enlargement has first-down yardage but again that flag is down where you'll always get the holding call [Applause] one really big long play callback tonight well you if they say how he long is doing a job as well as he played last year he's not getting to the quarterback as we listen to the calling 64 [Music] rod efforts trying to block all along but he still just like last year getting a lot of holding felt against him the ninth penalty 75 is how he long s Inc is number 64 and he's pretty well gone human in there hey a lot of times offensive lineman after a couple of calls against his team well they kind of figure they're not going to call three or four in a row and so they take the risk and obviously that's a cos got his hands full with how he long he's being forced into that by the superb play and strength and one Howie long second down 21 a lot of time for the Raiders they're down by three 1714 six minutes rename [Applause] the waiters go get it Gregg has the ball slapped out of his hands as he tried to scramble out of the pocket and the Raiders will have it back through the 25-yard line [Applause] Dave Craig shaking his head doesn't make many mistakes and that was one and he probably could not have avoided because somebody just knocked the ball out of his hand as he raced out of the pocket built the Cal fell on one of those things of what might have been if we look at this again but the release it had it not been an only penalty they were better first down keep tile number 93 great Townsend as he tries to go outside he comes back slaps the ball he certainly then he's been watching the Seahawks it comes to Cal Raiders first down in ten the ball just short of the 25-yard line of the Seattle Seahawks an emotional trip this again for the partisan fan the record crowd of over 64,000 they've been up for it all week they have watched the fortunes of the Seahawks soar and then Paul Hawkens I'll tell you they are hitting Gaeta for it'll be second down and six well the Seahawks over the last few years have played the Raiders probably as jump as any team in football as you know last year they beat him twice in the regular season so always a physical football game and this has been a big weekend for LA versus Seattle USC beat the University of Washington this weekend this is the second in the LA Seattle battle second and six safety blitz boom piled up we'll get a yard out of it it'll bring up third down and four a passing situation for Mark Wilson with Joe Nash big nose tackle who stepped around there and made it you'll notice that tempo is picked up a little bit the last few minutes that's it they're slapping around each other the Raiders play that kind of game with you but Seattle is not backing away from them this has really been a rough football game [Music] he says goodness goodness of an official timeout or something here our person wants to know himself there comes Jim Connie to tell us please put 10 seconds back on the clock 10 seconds please put 10 seconds reads 451 Jim Tony ones 10 seconds put back on the clock you've got it all right third down and four there is Chris bar having a good year 17 of 22 6 out of his last seven not funny year long kickers here 50 yards alright Don you were one of the games great quarterback don't worry about it what do you call now you have a quarterback with a sore thumb your team has been running relatively will yeah I roll out to the right I thought I hit try to get the ball up upside in a big time this is some mixed up that's what I was going to say Wilson is having a problem and Wilson uses another Raider timeout they have one remaining you could see him Frank in the huddle something was not right they've been trying to get messages to the sideline back and forth they didn't where they had the right players in there not example ocean on the left there the offensive line coach for the Raiders that's Tom floor he's in the middle I would imagine that what happened really was is there's some kind of mix-up and sitting in that flight so now he's coming over there let's just get it straight what does it shoot me the Ron coach here we go we're the third down this has got to be the big play you know we may be here till morning if this thing doesn't know three-fourths is going to tie it up they once run against that but get on home once again so much of the line Seattle eight and two into the night a win tonight they go nine to two they're one game behind Denver the Raiders and the win tonight they will tie Seattle with an eight and three record I mentioned the schedule of Seattle which includes two games with Denver and three teams under 500 Cincinnati grit and Kansas City as for the Raiders the remainder of their schedule could say it's marginally temper next week their home for Kansas City then they have Indianapolis they have Miami at Miami that's not gonna be a lot of fun they will be on Monday Night Football again December the 10th against Detroit in Detroit will the end Pittsburgh on the surfer surfing should say the Raiders have the tougher schedule Romania done this in a moment ago they have had the lates to with mix-up here in the second half then B balances can roll out to the right and look for the tide here that's it maybe Marcus coming out of the backfield third down and four whistles last two passes if they intercepted Wilson the sack the crowd listen yep Brian and what does that do for Chris barn it is really lengthened out the field goal attempt well the good news he's right in the middle of the field no he likes killing the light - Marco doesn't he lost the Denver game trying to get that right hash mark tell you got to give the rate of some credit they needed five yards for a first down and I think every wanted the receivers were at least 15 yards down for 45 yard attack Mark Wilson Rojo [Applause] everyone is locked or not hurt it look at the CR we're celebrating already I think that's the ballgame it is far from over and emotionally-charged crowd somebody may have got a hand on it good have been nice number 72 you bet boy let a fine football player he's turned into a great nose tackle now in his third year out of Boston College he's in the free-agent he's solid in there when he made a great play the channel has been making those great [Applause] special teams [Music] [Applause] away break out of the 32 the 37 who gets six that one timeout remaining for the Raiders could be a factor they're not going to be able to control the offense of the Seattle Seahawks they almost have to save it for a possible field goal attempt in the closing minutes play that Jorn if you got to give him credit tonight he's been cutting back against the flow and he's been getting positive yards and he's the only guy that's been doing much on the ground for the Seahawk he came here in 79 for the glass he had five hundred yards rushing he's been in there before [Applause] the 39-yard oh this crowd well you mentioned earlier the two time-outs that the writers used but very definitely come back to haunt him I mentioned that Chuck Knox very loyal to former players the lead blocker for Dornoch on that first down was cullen bryant who played the Chuck Knox for the Los Angeles Rams John Egan has made key plays tonight he was with Jeff Koz with the Rams first and ten [Applause] they get buried by Howie long there be a loss while they flip Mike Davis on that play there's a man John Nance and played super nose tackle for this team this season the most improved player on this defensive unit he's the guy that made it happen for Magli this year but Mike David did a good job of lifting on that plane I think at this time of the game is when the Raiders really missed Matt Millen and now that Lyle Alzado is out both the T guys were a real tough against the run and you can expect them to run the ball 2:25 remaining in the game that's it there are no more timeouts they're gambling that they can prevent Seattle from getting a first down they can stop the clock they're using the two-minute warning they didn't want channel just to run off 25 three seconds because that's exactly what they could have done so they use their final timeout gambling and maybe rightfully so on a defense that always over the years seems to rise to the occasion and the strategy game is played out on either side of the field Craig talking to Chuck knocks always cool always calm always collected Jim Zorn is getting in there with the word it over the other side of the field the Raiders defensive captains from the field of gathered around Tom Flores it really expect them to try to do a lot of dangerous things offensively but I think they probably will try to throw it once second down and about 13th but I would look for something really pretty safe whatever that might be you're gonna throw it fairly short maybe out flat hope at the back you know elude a tackler pick up some yardage because one first down would just about do it with those announce left well I tell you a violent Chuck Knox I'd rely on my defense I'd run the ball I'd get a good punt off I have a team that came into this game with nine straight shutout quarter and he'll a raider team here through 14 points and I think I put the pressure on the defense let's go second down and 13 not bad fire fire or wide receivers are in but we might see the draw Jeff Knox likes to get rid of the risk they'll go from the shotgun Darryl Turner the Ricky for Michigan State at motion there it is gain of only a yard or yard and two Raiders looking for that one Sean Jones in there on the stop the second round draft pick out of Northeastern and now Santa will let the remaining seconds to the two-minute warning tip off the clock Seth knocks 11 years at dopes three different teams eight times he's been in the playoffs at two minutes remaining Seattle on top 17 to 13 the Raiders have 1714 brother three points differential and the Raiders have no more timeouts third down and 12 Gregg has received the final word from hypnosis Chuck knocks Greg on the night in a hard-hitting defensive football game 11 of 25 152 yards a couple of touchdowns of one interception Gregg with the clock stopped at the two-minute warning we'll get this play off rather quickly but from now on you'll use it all graders really have to be thinking turn over the first man will hit the ball carrier the second man is going to try to pull that ball but the running backs Cullen Bryant at Dan Dornoch are well aware of that Darney built up it away covering you with both arms and he's out of the 40 to the 42 it'll be third down and seven then the clock continues to tick the one thing said Frank you can let me let that thing run down another 30 seconds so you're gonna say it's 145 right now starts a 30 second block right now so it's gonna be closer to about a minute minute and 10 seconds it's underway now and Jeff West the punter will watch it very carefully as Greg crew it drops deep [Applause] they could even take a delay a game yeah they'll take every second they can get off that pot and run it right down to another nine seconds eight to go they're gonna take a five-yard penalty they could care less about that we're more concerned about seconds [Music] the others marked off five and then the Jeff West tip punt of the night then that kind of game may be splitting edges a little bit here too much has not had a punt block from the 380 attempts that could be a Nolan that we have that up now normally that's the jinx has the jinx as an almond Jeff don't listen to anybody kick the ball that's also a pretty good record great crew even is on 25-yard line [Applause] hi birth had already indicated the fair catch as jeff west again lets it up there so high is coverages right down there in the face of breakthrough it now we have 102 remaining mark.wilson fourteen of thirty hundred and sixty four yards couple of interceptions obviously affected by the spring found from the week ago when trying to do the near impossible crowd is already sensing victory and they are all here not a soul have left on this rustic setting proud for the 64,000 the Kingdome Wilson the block with 57 seconds he would have had a little Running Room a little but not lunch and he would ever they will stop that clock this is really the tough situation because of the no timeout situation that they're in you're going to give them a little bit of that middle of the field so you might want to think about hey trying to go for it big down the middle I do somebody can break loose the Raiders 21 2 & 1 into the night this hunt was in dire jeopardy let the two speedsters over here to the right look under pressure fires that one two Christensen but the second will continue to tick yeah Oh mark is down again no he's not mark I'm sorry a Raider is down Jordan that is shall be joyful crowd as booing there really is no advantage anymore to faking it so I'm not going to speculate on that and I think I'm here pine football players and football today they're coughing a little time to it they I mean a body seconds had run off the clock as he laid there they could have gotten to the line of scrimmage and maybe got in the playoff in another three or four seconds so I don't think it's a much to their advantage to be trying to fake it at this point Mark Wilson is over dr. Tom Flores most down yardage carried out to the 34 yard line this telecast is presented by the authority of National Football League it's intended for the private use of our audience any rebroadcast or other use of this telecast without the express written consent of the National Football League is prohibited we talked about the schedule of Seattle and the Raiders Denver's schedule will be Minnesota at home next Sunday when they have Seattle twice and Denver the final game of the season for Denver then they anza city in San Diego and Shelby Jordan being helped off the field and we'll bring in Bruce Davis well if he's faking it you need to get a Screen Actors Guild card because he's doing a good job of I'm afraid that he may have a severe knee injury there the way he Pablo did when he first got up again the situation the Raiders have no timeouts they had to expend all three of them in situations I know they would like to have back they have a first down and ten at the 34 yard line 43 seconds remaining in the game now they start the clock as soon as roided-up to the sidelines Marcus Allen we get out of our own they'll have to hustle up to the line of scrimmage throw the ball get the end completion stop the clock and take it over 20 seconds Willson sack of though like fanning his second of the night another former Chuck Knox player with the Los Angeles Rams well you got to throw it up inside 10 but for the defensive fire another side I believe it was bike panning again along with donuts turn out the lights what is over they say that all now Fanning is getting it on with Dave Daffy things buzz in take Fanning gave him a big head slapped right there they stopped the clock to let the receivers get back to the line of scrimmage as soon as they do they'll start the clock well now there's a flag that has been thrown that was big Jacob green once again who made the sack I don't know if it was a fumble or not but he laid it to mark.wilson four seconds on the clock here's Jim honey [Music] valving Danny let's start the fire look at the secondary back though Wilson again the contrived offensive foul look Bearcats pretty easy the second interception tonight [Applause] [Music] the Denver Broncos listen to this crowd every one of them stayed to the end you
