in New York City they never left after beating the Yankees and they will go out to LaGuardia and fly someplace here's a base hit for Cavell [Applause] puts it through the hole between Schmidt and Bowa bunts it nicely to Birdman only one plate of first base the sacrifice is good Bob does his job Hoos go up to second base well figure some time in this game our ground ball Birdman has it but 40 late to get over but they get throws and Bowa moves up to third base hunter x over ball four George Vukovich coming out to bat ground ball shortstop Reynolds throws lukovitch's [Applause] the bottom half of the ninth-inning bill seven houston seven three of the four games already of gone expertise but an incredible series [Applause] Birdman a hard ground ball at Manny Trillo Trillo throws and Bergman is out that's one down of the night one down bottom half of the ninth inning 7-7 bouncing ball Manny Trillo he hasn't rose and Ashby is out that's two down in the ninth inning dick Ruthven Bible the families are in the World Series Bob Boone a touch of sitting there with pennies boy what a ballgame foody had [Music] can't believe the game he played today more than any other filly in my opinion he's to be given credit Gary man out your big bass yeah look at him I'll tell you a season of us pounds and highs and lows ends up with a Phillies in the 1980 World Series Dallas Green hunting Paul Owens Phillies general manager another touching scene there's the Pope in Dallas there they are Paul Owens has been their ball club followers built this team he knew they could get there they have arrived there in the World Series in 1980 [Music]

Let me start by saying “Yeah, I know...get off my lawn” but I wish games today were like this. No three person booths vomiting out drivel to fill every second of the broadcast. No over the top graphics telling me how many hits Bake McBride had vs right handed pitchers born in Texas (although the score balls/strike graphics we gave today are an enhancement). No Cowboy Joe or Angel Hernandez making an NLCS game about them. Rose looked like he was jawing about everything and he wasn’t thrown out. It was just baseball. Kinda ugly. Kinda raw. But baseball.
