1962 Volkswagen Beetle Walk Around Tour

[Music] I'll write YouTube so this is a quick walk-around of my 1962 Volkswagen Beetle it's a Canadian car that has spent its whole life here in the Canadian Prairies it was bought in from like obviously from a Volkswagen dealer in 1962 went to the second owner in 67 who had it for nearly 50 years and was in storage since the 1980s in his back as you can see it is turquoise and features many many original items to the vehicle and has been a great project for me so I'm excited to share it with you and talk a little bit about its history and and some cool facts so beautiful turquoise couldn't ask for a better color I believe had an accident in the 1980s and so one of the rear fenders was replaced a few crunchy bits underneath of course from the accident but how to repaint at the same time so you know very presentable car it's not perfect by any means but it looks looks great and I can't believe the reaction you get from people and of course when you're driving in and of course that shows and stuff so it's just a fantastic car I believe those are the original hubcaps I do know the wheels are all original they have the original two-tone paint that would have come right underneath the turquoise overspray that was done when it was repainted all the glass I believe his original has a German markings on except for the front windshield lots of original trim pieces to the car I believe the glass in the the front and headlamps to be original as well so lots of lots of originality to it even if it's not perfect it's just absolutely amazing car to drive and have some fun with so let's take a look inside [Music] so as you can see it's turquoise with white and gray interior and the door cards in great shape the seats were recovered in the 1980s and in the back as well the headliner is all there it's some staining of course there were window leaks and you know if you looks like burn holes and life happens sort of thing in the interior of the car but - wise it's all here features fuel gauge 460 - I don't believe that's the original radio but it is it's all there right at the basket because I need coffee and yeah let's start it up [Music] runs pretty good overall check them out releases be and let's take a closer look [Music] forty horsepower [Music] love to be couch like it's being outlawed so runs really well great great car so there you go there's a quick look around at my 1962 Volkswagen Beetle absolutely fantastic addition to the family
