1956 John Deere 60

okay 1956 John Deere 60 a fresh cylinder this one's a power steering model also has the rollomatic front end a little bit of damage on the grill tins mostly straight the one Dent up here got the original badging on it still runs a generator this tractor runs terrific we'll start it up here in a minute hand clutch tires not too bad fair amount of tread not too much uh dry cracking going on so should last a good long while this one's got the link arms for the three-point but not the the actual hitch arms so does have all the Hydraulics PTO the rear light still not hooked up okay let's hop on and see if we can fire it off for you here okay so no key of course got the switch here first click ignition second lights third backup lights and fourth I'm not sure maybe dash lights as well but so we go with the first click give a small amount of Choke got the foot pedal starter here okay make sure we're neutral starts and runs very well do a little throttle we'll go ahead and going run it right on into third gear break off independent turning brakes pedal on each side get a little throttle again shove the hand clutch ahead this machine runs great really lug it down too saying won't stop for nothing got the Johnny popper two hor cylinder motor just a lot of fun got pretty cool patina to it but also a great candidate for a restoration so straight pip a little bit noisy Z air reverse little challenging with one hand all right all the gears in the transmission operate smooth it's really a joy to drive around does have a very small water leak on the bottom looks to be just a maybe a housing gasket some kind haven't investigated it too much but no crap accidentally to cast iron hand clutch seems to have a lot of life left in it may he lugs down real nice not real easy to find a 60 in the just good of original condition anymore of course turns on a dime being a tricycle front end there we go it's a great Runner
