what's up guys silas back again today i am so excited to have my crusher going again this is just awesome being able to crush cars i crushed a few in the last vlog but now i'm going to crush a bunch for you guys this vlog will probably last one two maybe three days i don't know just whatever i feel like recording i'll record it and when i have enough to put it together into one video i'll do that so we'll see what happens but let's get to work one thing i need to do bad is get an actual table set up because right now this is the table i'm using for my phone to record stuff not working very well [Music] [Music] i've had a few people ask me is that all the flattery it will crush these cars and the answer is no it will crush them much flatter especially if i crush two or three together but then the problem i have with that is that when i go to the shredder with them on my trailer and they go to get the claw and they go to grab them apart they're all stuck together and mangled together and they have to rip them apart and it's dropping cars on my trailer and it just it's really hard on my equipment on my trailer and my truck and so as long as i'm hauling them in myself and my trailer i just crush them halfway and kind of squeeze them together a little bit that way they can get them apart easily but when i get back to crushing them loading semis or dumpsters i'll go ahead and get back to crushing them all the way flat busy busy day loads of appliances loads of iron loads of metal loads of heavy iron that axle is super heavy i work my butt off just to get the road open and i've already brought in 13 more cars since i got the road open so it's starting to fill back in again already and then i bought another big load of radiators this is the third load from the same location they saved them for a lot of years this little guy i felt something crawling on my neck and i don't like to just swat stuff when i feel things on my neck because you just never know what it is and if it's a bee or something like that you swat it it'll sting it but anyway i felt something crawling so i brushed it and he was hanging these things are harmless they don't really do anything bad they eat mosquitoes i think so he gets to live i'll leave him in the loader for a little while good morning guys i'm back again today i didn't record a whole lot yesterday i kind of got busy with cars coming in i bought about 15 cars yesterday bunches of loads of just iron and that sort of stuff so it was a busy day and i just didn't have a whole lot of time to record but hopefully things will slow down a little bit today and i can record some more questions for you guys i know you guys probably get a kick out of watching cars get crushed some of you get really offended uh my video just posted last night of crushing the square body chevy truck and that's the first time i've ever posted a video and immediately started losing subscribers but i mean that's okay i kind of expected that a little bit i knew that would ruffle a few feathers but it is what it is everybody wants you to save everything but they don't actually want to buy it they just want you to save it because they don't want to see it get crushed and business doesn't work like that this is what puts food on the table and what really shocked me is the people that got offended over the mid 90s ford stuff i crushed i mean that stuff is extremely common dime a dozen you can buy it in perfect running condition for dirt cheap around here and i had people all sorts of upset me about that sort of stuff and so i was not expecting that to happen but once again it's okay i'm kind of immune to it i've crushed stuff my entire life i've been in this business forever so it always cracks me up when people have no clue what they're talking about try to tell me how to do the business but enough of all that talk let's get busy working i ripped off a few converters already i want to look them up see what they're worth the way i pull these off a lot of times is i just use the forks the loader and i roll them over on their side i already rolled this one back down i roll them over on their side and i just i know the pressure points to where i can snap them off pretty clean without breaking them every now and then you have a little bit of pipe left on them but i'll solve that off and i got those off and then i got these three off and so as you can see i can get them pretty clean with just the forks now if i want to i can rip the whole exhaust system off and back when converters were a lot cheaper that's what i would do i would just rip off the whole exhaust system and then i could throw it in the pile and nobody would steal it because converters weren't worth the effort to cut it off of the exhaust system and so i could just throw a whole bunch of complete systems in a pile stack cars on top of it didn't have to worry about it nowadays with converters bringing anywhere from 100 to thousand or fifteen hundred dollars a piece they will do everything in their power to steal them so i have to actually clean them up and take them and lock them up in storage a little bit of good news for all you guys that like old cars getting saved is this one here is kind of going to get saved the guy's going to come out next week and he's going to completely strip it pull the motor out the training out grill the bumper the interior doors i think i don't know what all he's going to get off of it he's probably just going to take the whole thing but they use it for a camping wagon so at least it won't get crushed [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] this one just came in they drove it on the trailer needed some body work done it was wrecked on the front just needed odds and didn't work but it was worth more for scrap than it was to fix so actually one of my subscribers brought it out to me one of the local people that watches my channel so that's pretty cool i paid 600 for this one a lot of people ask me what do i pay for cars what do i get out of cars i paid 600 for this one i kind of took a chance on it it has three converters on it i was kind of gambling they would be good they usually are on these mariners so i got those off there and that will make my money back and then the rest of it i can crush pull the aluminum wheels off so when it's all said and done this thing will bring probably in the eight to nine hundred dollar range and if you compare that to fixing it it would have cost to fix it right probably fifteen hundred to two thousand dollars to fix it right unless you got really lucky and found a donor vehicle the exact same color that had everything this one needs and then you might have a 2500 vehicle so definitely money ahead just to crush it and go on with um that one's for you frank i'll tell you what it has been a busy afternoon just tons of junk coming in got these big tanks big pile of scrap cars converters you name it it's been coming in like crazy but i got a few cool things over here got this old i believe it's an m m minneapolis moline it's a very neat tractor i really don't want to crush that i don't know what to do i haven't decided yet it's got a good look to it back in the day that tractor would have sold really good for wall or not yard art but nowadays you never know then i got this old s10 in it's got the old style gauges in it those gauges like that used to bring about 150 to 200 bucks so i really hate to crush those i haven't decided if i'm going to pull them out yet or not but this is the coolest piece it's a little bit on the rough side it's a 1950 olsonville 88 futuramic it's pretty rough the driver's door's falling off and the roof's crunched in pretty good go check out the dash in this thing the interior it's got the globe in the steering wheel got the speedometer there still has the radio and the clock in it you don't seem like this very often anymore not also wheels see a lot of chevy's this year but don't see olsonville and buick too often 88 last tag in 1967. it's crunched in pretty good over here on this back door looks like they hit it with the bucket on the tractor or something like that fairly recently even hard time it's got a really neat front bumper on it i like that how it's just big and bulky looking that nose will make a good wall hanger but check this out this is my favorite part of the whole car is the old oldsmobile rocket engine the funky sideways carburetor generator up on top super cool valve covers even has a battery in it an old battery just like they parked it i'm not sure if it turns or not the hood doesn't stay open on its own so i'm gonna have to hold it with my back and put the camera down for a second and see if that engine turns oh i don't believe it turns now i'm stuck good job it's times like this that this job isn't exactly fun it is warm out here today and i'm crawling inside the back seat of this car in the heat and it is hot inside this car to pull his battery out i'm doing it one-handed so it's a little bit complicated so i have to go back to using both hands but this type of job is not fun on days like this got quite a few crushed some of these i crushed yesterday some of them i crushed today i wanted to get a bunch more crush today but i just had non-stop people bringing cars out today so far this week i've bought 71 cars but as you can see i'm kind of running out of room a little bit i have just enough room for people to drive across the scales i've got a little bit of room left here in the middle and then i can barely get to my crusher and i have to back all the way back out so i am really running out of room i'd like to ship the cars but i know price is going to go up 10 or 20 any day now and so i've been waiting for about a week to ship anything and so that's gotten me really far behind and got me completely out of room but if i would have shipped in 500 tons this week and then price went up 20 dollars that's ten thousand dollars i'd be costing myself by getting in a hurry so i'll just wait i should find out tomorrow what price did hopefully it went up 20 if not it just went up 10 i know it's going up so whatever went up i can get the shipping ship a whole bunch of it in make some room in here and do some more crashing videos for y'all i've got a video idea in mind for this car here i'm not sure when i'll get around to it hopefully when it cools down a little bit i'll do it i don't really want to do my idea right now it's a little bit too warm for that but i'm sure some people will like my idea some people won't but we'll see how it works i'm going to go ahead and in the video here i am exhausted and hot and done for the day probably won't do much recording tomorrow i got a busy day tomorrow i might record a few things here and there but for the most part i'm just going to get busy and get some work done so i'll start the recording again next week i've got several videos done scheduled ready to post and so it usually takes me about a week to get them up there hope you guys enjoyed it if you did hit that like button please consider subscribing and above all else remember get out there and find an adventure we'll see you next time
