hey everyone Arthur here continuing with the Xbox 360 coverage this time we're looking at physical 360 games I'm focusing on hidden Gems or exclusives or exclusive hidden gems that are also cheap and tend to get more expensive as we approach the marketplace closing date next year and by exclusivity here most of them will be 100% exclusive to the Xbox 360 some of them are exclusive to this generation of consoles so PlayStation 3 and 360 and some of them are only in the Xbox ecosystem forward compatible to one or series I'll let you know about all that as we talk about each game stick with the channel for more Xbox 360 coverage after this I'll go back to the digital games as well as DLCs and many other topics and as we approach the closing date I'll ramp up production on 360 videos all right without further Ado welcome to the channel this is from the [Music] void [Music] [Music] [Music] to start things off we have a severely underappreciated game in my opinion quite the epic adventure with beautiful Graphics interesting gameplay and real high production value that deserved way more including a sequel this is Majin and The Forsaken [Music] Kingdom I'm pretty sure that if this game had released recently it would have gotten a way better reception but instead this is a deeply forgotten game sadly it did get attention when it came out but lukewarm reviews in the seven range killed most interest in it so magin and The Forsaken kingdom is both an action game with plenty of combat as well as a puzzle game and with a little bit of platforming too every area you come across will provide an environmental puzzle to solve the twist is how the Majin the Burly Golem dude is included in both the puzzle sections as well as the action you can't directly control it instead you give it orders while aiming at the targets whether enemies or objects so that the giant can interact with them and in order to make the Majin feel integral to the game play they did something I found very interesting but some people may dislike I think this is one of the reasons the game didn't receive great scores but I strongly disagree the battles are very tough in this game so without the Majin you can take on only two maybe three enemies at a time you stand no chance against large crowds especially if there is a big one within their ranks however getting the Majin to join you in the fights is frequently not as easy as it may sound not because because he doesn't obey he actually does obey all the commands I didn't have a problem with that but there are often physical obstacles that will prevent him from joining because he can't climb and jump like you so you got to keep that in mind at all times some fights can be tough even with the help of the Majin so it's always a great idea to analyze the surroundings before starting a brawl so you can knock some of the foes out by using things in the environment like knocking over a wall for instance I love all those Dynamics with the Majin in the game they make the game play way less straightforward but in a great way in my opinion and by the way the biggest criticism this game got was the lack of a competent teleportation system which makes you have to backtrack on foot quite a few times and while that is true and more Transportation rooms would be very welcome this really doesn't justify the seven out of 10 scores it got I'd give it no less than 8.5 probably more Majin is a must playay in my opinion unless you're only looking for straightforward action and puzzles are not your thing this game is surprisingly cheap for its quality nowadays but tends to get more expensive and it's a physical exclusive no digital versions on the marketplace it's also not forwards compatible so this can only be played on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation [Music] 3 moving on to probably the least known of all from software games well maybe not they have a lot of weird stuff this is chromous chome hounds is a third person Mission based action shooter inside Max which from soft is no stranger to of course with the only recently popularized but a very long running armored car series but chrom hounds is different in a few key aspects first it's not set in the future rather in an alternative reality in modern times this makes the the machines not feel futuristic either they are heavy and chunky to control but in a good way because the controls are awesome providing all the tools you could possibly need to succeed and look awesome while doing so you have a specific button for each weapon multiple view Scopes also according to each weapon you can move backwards and sideways with ease and all that is made even more impressive with the Staggering amount of different machine parts and how they can change the game play Not only multiple weapon types but also different movement types like tanks Wheels hovercrafts this is a deep game in many ways but also one that eases you in so it's enjoyable since very early on it's not going to make someone who has no interest in Max whatsoever convert or anything but a fine game if you're into this and as a from software game I don't need to tell you about the potential of this spiking in price right especially considering that this one is the Xbox 360 exclusive and physical only so you may want to grab it while it's still inexpensive following up with one of the highlights on the list for sure wartek s nor okay before even getting to talking about the game if you look online for reviews of this don't they are not to be trusted there is a discrepancy that most people are not going to be able to see because while the easy to find American reveals sit between fives and sixes harder to find European like Euro gamer and esally Japanese reviews are on the eight range famitsu which is arguably one of the best reviewing outlets in the world cuz they have far individuals reviewing each game every time gave warte a solid eight with one of the reviewers giving it a excellent nine score I almost always agree with fito SCS and this time is no exception wartek is a mix of fighting game with a top down shoot him up yeah fighting game with shoot him up it's a similar idea to Virtual on a game that I will be covering soon by the way but the overhead perspective and gameplay makes it feel much more akin to shoot them ups but without losing the fighting game aspects combats are oneon-one with heavy emphasis on positioning and also counts with a wide variety of attacks for each character including special attacks that turn the screen into a bullet hell situation and that's insane in a fighting game on story mode there are boss fights that feel much more like a shoot them up too but the coolest aspect about wartech is how tactical the fights feel cuz it's not only about long range and special moves you and the enemy keep moving and often you will get close to one another and then you can use melee attacks to do a lot of damage so it feels more strategic than your average fighting game characters also have widely different moves which is great to incentivize finishing the game with each one so yeah this is a cool unique game worth having for sure especially considering that it's going for cheap prices so grab it before it becomes a known game I think this has potential to becoming expensive as I believe not too many copies were put in circulation and try grabbing one with the manual cuz that's the only way to see the character's moves the game itself lacks a move list believe it or not major handicap there wark is a physical only Xbox 360 exclusive a another big highlight goes to cep [Music] Saga depending on who you are this may or may not sound and look like a very good idea but I promise the game play is incredibly entertaining and addictive the codep series is a mix of RPG with board game basically you compete against opponents taking turns by rolling the dice then when you land on a space you can claim it by placing a creature on it then if another player lands there they will be demanded payment or they can attack it so it's very similar to Monopoly but with battles and cards you can use each turn you draw a card from your deck which can be a creature to place or or a spell to improve your dice ODS or move a predetermined amount of spaces or a multitude of other effects but you'll need to use them wisely as they use Mana which is an important aspect of the game The Objective is usually to reach a certain amount of Mana before your opponent cep Saga is 100% exclusive to the Xbox 360 and physical only and it's not as expensive as other games in the series namely cep revolt on the 3DS which I covered a bunch of times so you may want to grab this sooner rather than later when this game I think will suffer the same fate of [Music] Revolt next we have a pretty obscure one that was a Xbox Live exclusive digital game Wick and the Fable of [Music] souls okay this is part of one of several compilations of Xbox Live games released in physical form that no one seems to know about yeah let me say that again there are several compilations of Xbox Live arcade games that made it into physical discs in the case of Wick and the Fable of souls that would be the compilation called Xbox Live arcade unplugged that comes with six games but only three of them are noteworthy for this list so I'm only counting three of them towards the list total and one of them for sure is this one Wick and the Fable of soul which is a pretty unique game like nothing else out there this is quite excellent despite its Simplicity you can check scars online it got 8.5s across the board the game is divided into stages where you must collect all the grubs and throw them to Zam Who's down there wondering the bottom of the screen you have limited time to do so but the fun comes from the unusual controls and how finely tuned they are you can't walk with Wick instead you have to jump and with the analog stick you determine the curvature of your jump Additionally you you can swing from several different types of platforms and all that makes for a pretty cool gameplay it limits you but provides all you need to succeed and then some you can do some pretty awesome Maneuvers using this game's well-made physics before grabbing all the grubs you can optionally get all the coins which is a pretty challenging task so yeah this is a great game the stages are varied and the challenge feels on point you can opt to grab this one digitally or physically in the unplugged collection which goes for cheaper considering that it's one of six games in the pack note that this this game was not made forwards compatible to my knowledge so it remains a Xbox 360 [Music] [Music] exclusive another obscure game found in this collection is Outpost koki X I guess this is a city Builder but rather than Sim City it's much more into a roller coaster tycoon style of gameplay your task is to build extensions that satisfy the needs of space Travelers in the region some regions are filled with creatures in need of information so you build all sorts of news outlets some are looking for chemicals so you build chemistry related stores and some just want some lemonade so you build lemonade stands in space yeah it's a pretty straightforward game the trick though is to do all that while trying to reach some other objectives like building a pond for the space princess poodle or whatever doing it all under the time limit and more importantly finding the balance between the finance and the energy consumption cuz everything requires or produces energy and everything needs money to operate it gets complicated in a good way it's kind of cool this type of game is rather Niche though so that's why this is more of a curiosity than anything I believe but I'm happy to have alul skoki X which is only found in the Xbox ecosystem [Music] and the third game also found in this unplugged compilation is easily the best one Geometry Wars retro [Music] evolved this is the first fully fledged game in the series after its debut as a miname inside Project Gotham Racing 2 which is fascinating right people liked it so much they made a whole series of Geometry Wars games and this is the Blissful first one it's a simple game compared to more recent ones but brilliant nonetheless there are only two modes retro and evolved retro is the exact same found in Project Gotham Racing 2 while evolved is a revamped and improved version of that basically you have a set number of lives and bombs and have to survive as long as possible while while acre as many points as possible every time you reach a milestone score you gain a new life and bomb and I find this evolved mode better than the evolved mode in the sequel so even if you have that this is still a worthwhile title to have what's interesting about this first game too compared to its more well-known sequel is that frequently you get all sorts of powerups that improve your rate of fire or your spread and those were removed from R to revolve 2 this remains a fun game and a classic nowadays so it's very nice to have it physically and soon you'll see that it's not the only one you can on this series on the Xbox 360 believe it or [Music] [Music] not like I said there are a total of six games in the this collection but the other three are barely worth a mention so I'm not counting these towards the list total and those are bejel 2 hardwood back gamon which is a good way to learn how to play back gamon and Texas hold them which I see no reason why it would be interesting to anyone but there you have it moving [Music] on next another compilation starting with another game I bet many don't know can found in physical form and this is one of my favorite games of all time Geometry Wars retro Evolve 2 I spent so much time playing this game you have no idea I still hold a pretty great position in sequence mode I used to be number nine worldwide but now I'm number 22 and I'm totally okay with that 22 is great especially considering that the first 10 position scores are definitely hacked or cheated cuz these are completely impossible but anyway this game is highly addictive and one of the purest sorts of fun you can have with an arcade style game anywhere period it is infinitely enjoyable it improves a lot from the first game adding five new modes including fan favorite pacifist where your only weapon is passing through mirrors King mode where you can only shoot from within the bubbles with a timer and sequence mode which is brilliant providing actual predetermined stages with increasing difficulty this one is awesome it's definitely my favorite and a few more the achievements here are genius to expanding the fun by providing new ways to enjoy the game I mean this game is a 10 out of 10 for anyone that likes a good shooting action in an arcade style gameplay Loop this is only found in the Xbox ecosystem it's forwards compatible but the Xbox version is the only one that has a physical for better preservation with which is a fact I think most people are not aware of so consider getting this Xbox Live arcade game pack you can even get the Asian version like me cuz even though it says it's ntsc j it's actually region free by the way I plan on making a region free video for the Xbox 360 and that should be very interesting so stay tuned for [Music] that [Music] the second game on this collection is illuminous live luminous is a pretty excellent series of falling blocks puzzle games it may take a minute to understand it but once you do you'll find an addictive game here for sure live provides a very similar gameplay to the other ones in the series it's it's all about busting blocks as the scan line passes through the stage and that happens on the Beat of the Music it's hard to explain but once you get it it's quite brilliant as you master the stages you unlock new songs to play to which is great other luminous games may have more to provide but live is still very much worth playing and remains exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem however I believe that luminous Supernova which is a Playstation 3 exclusive has all the features of live with the exception of the online multiplayer which is weird but also adds a few more modes so if you're not looking to play this online Supernova may be a better version the final game on this compilation is bomber Man live okay I have a big gripe with the Bomberman franchise if any game in the series doesn't have a proper single player campaign or story mode I do not like it and that's unfortunately the case for Bomberman live no story nothing just versus battle in multiplayer Arenas against the CPU or other players local or online the thing is that any more recent entering the franchise will provide better options if you're only looking to play this multiplayer so I see little reason to get this one but it's included in the pack so I guess it's no harm if you're looking for the other two and this is 100% exclusive to the Xbox 360 but there is another game that is very similar to this one called Bomberman Ultra on the PlayStation [Music] 3 [Applause] now moving on to a fighting game for a change and a pretty interesting one battle Fantasia This one tries to bring the 2D finding genre to the fantasy RPG realm but only in setting not in gameplay itself so you can expect a straightforward fighting game here only with a fantasy medieval backdrop with characters that fit that setting such as aspiring Knights actual Knights Pirates tabern workers a priest and a princess they're all pretty interesting interesting with cool fighting styles the game plays excellently well the graphics are enjoyable and the stories of each character are well made which I really appreciate as I like the single player aspect in fighting games and those are sometimes completely ignored so it's great that this is not the case for battle Fantasia you're not going to get anything completely bombastic or out of the box here but a solid fighting experience for fans of the genre for sure battle Fantasia is stuck in this generation of consoles it is not forwards compatible so your only other option is the PlayStation 3 [Music] wi next game on the list is probably not considered a Hidden Gem and it's also not exclusive but it has an exclusive feature that makes the Xbox 360 version the best one of all we're talking about Sonic and Sega Allstar Racing with banjo kazui [Music] this is a pretty great items based racer on the 360 and this of course is the only version that comes with Banjo Kazooie as playable characters both their car as well as their character models though are based on the nuts and bolts game so it's the chunky Square shaped banjo which is admittedly not the best look they've ever had but still a nice addition to the game for sure and Sega and Sonic Allstars Racing plays perfectly well with an emphasis on the drifting which feels fantastic you can almost drift nonstop here and some tracks are freaking awesome too my favorite is this monkey ball inspired one where the path is so crazy even the computer has trouble doing it but in a good way it's pretty cool granted the sequel Sonic and Allstars Racing Transformed is an even better game with the transformation change UPS in the middle of the tracks but the original is still worth playing in my opinion and with how how cheap the physicals are it's easy to justify picking this one up especially considering that this game is not forwards [Music] compatible next we move to another compilation of games and a damn great one too the Dreamcast collection featuring four games of which the most notable in my opinion is definitely Space Channel 5 part two ladies and gentlemen this is Space Channel 5 this is a terrific rhythm game quite unlike anything else it doesn't resemble at all the Guitar Hero style nor does it really fit the Rhythm Heaven style it does its own thing Space Channel 5 is all about memorizing and mimicking whatever your opponent did in his turn and it becomes complex really fast you have a set of rules that permeate the entire game for your button inputs so it's not like rhythm heaven where each stage changes the rules but that's not to say that the game doesn't pull all sorts of twists because as the music changes so do the specific sound cues you need to pay attention to it's really cool and loads of quirky fun throughout as per the title this is obviously a sequel to the original which was a PlayStation 2/ Dreamcast game but part two was released for the Dreamcast only in Japan it was made available on the PlayStation 2 worldwide and it's also on the PlayStation 3 and PCs but physically I believe this is the only option on other than the Playstation 2 for the [Music] West up down down up down down two two two right right left left two two right right left next we have Sonic [Music] Adventure this is a well-known 3D entry in the franchise most like it some don't I find some of the platforming too wonky for my taste but I love the fast actions the boss fights and the locations the game grew on me a lot as I played I mean a whole lot cuz I was not liking it at first and ended up a fan the game is flawed no doubt lots of flaws in fact but the bottom line is a great experience for the right person of course this is not the director SC version though but that version doesn't add a whole lot so I think it's fine to stick with the vanilla Sonic Adventure and other than the PC version I don't think that this game has been brought forward I think it's stuck in this generation of [Music] consoles and then we have Crazy Taxi this is an arcade game through and through and I'm a Noob here this is the first time I play Crazy Taxi I suck at it all right that's what I mean I have no idea what I'm doing I read the controls you can do some crazy boosts with some weird inputs I tried it barely worked I still failed to succeed whatsoever but even then I was having fun and I trust its reputation and fan base you conclude it's a great game so it may be another reason to get this [Music] compilation and similarly we have Sega bass fishing this is also an arcade game but playing it in a console continuing will not require quarters or anything so it becomes an easy game to be but there's a lot to do in including Secret locations special fish you can catch and challenging achievements to try out I was skeptical about this beforehand but I got to say this is a surprisingly fun and action-packed I was impressed not a bad addition to this weird collection and also one that is stuck in this generation I believe it wasn't brought forward since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox [Music] 360 and then next is my favorite game on this franchise Beautiful [Music] Katamari this is a treat if you haven't played any game on the Katamari series you have no idea what you're missing there is nothing quite like it even if you have never played one of those you probably know what you have to do here right roll the katamar over objects to get them to stick to it thus increasing its size so you can grab bigger objects I hear this game play is a criticism to capitalism and how we behave in it always consuming more and more no matter if we really need the things we want and it's a brilliant game in that criticism too you actually feel the urge to collect more and more no matter what you're grabbing the destruction you're causing and even when things get out of control when you start grabbing people and even bigger things than that the controls are weird but there is a reason you use both directional sticks like each of them is controlling one of the princess hands it's very interesting it's unusual for sure but turns into a great control scheme once you get used to it because it starts feeling organic the game is quite challenging especially if you want to score big and here the king of the cosmos very rare praise the story is crazy and hilarious here too by the way each stage may also count with different rules like having to consider the temperature of objects you collect going for amount of calories instead of size having to collect specific typ typ of objects like electronics and much more this game also coms with a meaningful set of DLCs if I remember right there are six DLC stages each for $1 and they are very much worth getting some of the best stages in the game I'll get into more detail about this and other DLCs in the Xbox 360 in my upcoming video so stick around for that so yeah beautiful katamar is just that a beautiful game I love it digitals and physicals are on average Clos in price so I'd stick with the physical for this comes with with a nice manual this is forwards compatible but it's not found outside of the Xbox [Music] ecosystem okay this next one is highly divisive and that's why I think it's important to talk about as it's definitely a game that draws attention but many may not know what it's all about so this should be interesting and there is a lot to talk about so settle in we're talking about Cameo elements of power Cameo is an action adventure game made by a claim developer rare when researching it online this game immediately piqued my interest because reviewers either gave it low scores like fives or very high scores like 8.5s and that usually means the game is Niche but great now I'll tell you right now having played the entire game recently and without any Nostalgia for it I think it didn't age all that well but not to the point where it's a five I'd give it a solid seven so I think it's important to explain Cameo as well as possible because it's definitely not for everyone I had fun with it in the end but this game has glaring problems especially in the control scheme so this game is all about the Transformations your main character fairy person Cameo can shape shift into exactly 10 different creatures but all of this is made at least problematic by the single most baffling scheme for an adventure game in all of humans time on Earth so far think of any 3D Zelda game right how do you do your actions which buttons do you use that's easy right A B A bunch of C buttons on the GameCube and N64 zeldas X and Y nowadays those right the face buttons the obvious most accessible buttons on the damn controller right then secondary things like targeting and maybe blocking can be on the upper buttons the L and rs okay guess what Cameo does without the face buttons just guess they are all locked in for the Transformations they wasted all the most accessible buttons in the controller for transforming which don't get me wrong they are important things in the game but obviously not as important as the actions themselves like attacking jumping running and all that so what are we left with to do all the things the L's and rs right well at least there are still four of those right that's plenty yeah it would have been but for some reason Beyond Comprehension they decided to use only R2 and L2 or Trigger or bumper or whatever Microsoft decided to call that button and that's it and of course in any action adventure game we will have more than two moves guaranteed some creatures have like six moves so what ends up happening is that after the second action we are out of buttons so the third one will be performed by pressing L2 and R2 combined which is bad enough because the Xbox 360 controller is goddamn asymmetrical right which I like by the way I love how the controller is asymmetrical for all games except this one because the asymmetry makes your hands be positioned in slightly different ways but enough to make you often press the upper buttons a few milliseconds apart and that's enough to mess up the input then you do a jab instead of burrowing the ground or whatever and then you get hit and it's in infuriating but that's not even the worst part not even close we're only in action number three guess how the remaining moves will be performed we are already out of combinations right between freaking only two buttons so what's left I'll let an NPC from another rare game explain this [Music] [Applause] [Music] one you see those buttons actually you'll find ATT contct sensitive and yeah uh well actually the uh uh Press B Press B oh yeah the light comes on and it makes this noise Ting where a Ting noise you guys Ting there look Ting that's it that's it yeah okay I'll press me hello I found [Applause] you how what does that mean it means contact sensitive it's sensitive to context try over there yep context sensitive and while that works for conquer's Bad Fur Day in Cameo it really doesn't you can't expect the players to memorize all the actions of all 10 creatures and the contexts that enable them like pressing one of the buttons or both while moving or while standing still or while holding a snowball or an enemy or while in first person or whatever and since all these are optional moves that only exist to improve your combat abilities you end up not using most or all of these isn't this the most baffling thing you've ever heard like instead of all that context nonsense and button combinations how about just using the face buttons they're right there what's wrong with that I mean what were they thinking and by the way I love weird control schemes if there's a reason for them we just talked about Beautiful Katamari so yeah that's my main gripe with the game man the controls the entire game would have been much better if the actions were assigned to the face buttons instead what we got is stiff to control creatures that feel weird the entire game it feels actually much more like puzzle solving with action abilities even in combat it's weird and there's more to say the textures and Graphics are pretty great for the time but the character models are also butt in my opinion including the protagonist with her 9 in Long forehead all the creatures are unappealing to me the designs are not very interesting with a few exceptions that's also true for NPCs and as for the Transformations half of them have really interesting gameplay ideas that are fun to use like burning creatures with Ash spiking and throwing enemies as Chila fast attacking with this other guy and rolling around with ruin which is always fun but they all control weird in one way or another because of the damn control scheme like I said the only great creature to play as in my opinion was thermite check it out yeah pretty awesome right problem is that this is the very last one you unlock only in the final 10% of the game so yet another unfortunate decision but like I said Cameo can be fun for someone looking for something different an adventure that is methodical in game playay much more about problem solving than the action itself and also someone who can Overlook a good chunk of shortcomings in what could have been a stellar game if they had made the right decisions and probably if they had more time to develop it too cuz Cameo I think was a launch title for the Xbox 360 so they probably rushed it this game is exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem so physically you'll only find it for the Xbox 360 [Music] and last but not least is Magna Carta [Applause] 2 this is an action RPG but just because it was a RPG with realistic looking Graphics made by Japanese developers at this particular point in time it was thrown together with several other such games that were being mocked by Western audiences at the time very unjustly so in my opinion for being out of touch with Gamers or whatever but now all these years later people have moved on from that biased position thankfully and are now looking back at games from this period more fondly and Magna cartu is definitely one such game that deserves that it may have a slow pace in terms of the story and several cliche RP G trop such as yet another Amnesia protagonist I mean come on but the battle system is great and manages to stay fresh for the whole game and this is the best aspect of the game for sure like I said it's action oriented but different from other action RPGs from this period like say Tales of asaria you enter the battles seamlessly without the need of a separate battle arena which feels great and you can use any of the several characters in your party and they all control pretty differently toggling between them is very f fast it feels great and it allows for combo chains so there is a whole incentive to do so especially considering that there is a need to strategize here it is not about hacken Slash at all your character overheats if they attack several times in a row but gains a boost in attack before having to stop Al together so that's how they Incorporated the turn-based aspect in an action RPG it's quite brilliant especially for the time so yeah this is a great action RPG if you put a lot of importance in the battle system and this is a Xbox 360 exclusive not forwards comp edible not found digitally and not in any other platform so take advantage of the fact that this is not too expensive yet as it certainly tends to get more so [Music] soon and that's it for today stay tuned for more videos focusing on Xbox 360 games next will probably be on DLCs or maybe region free games those should be interesting so stick around leave a like I think it helps getting the video to show up more subscribe so you don't miss out on the next ones and if you really enjoy my work and can spare some change you can join my patreon page I rely on patreon's generosity to keep the lights on here and anything even $1 makes a world of difference so thank you so much for those of you who already do thank you so much for watching and I'll see you [Music] soon
