the night C Mac that's new they're gonna focus on trying to slow her down as I know Reed Sundhara was gonna try to slow down Joey Rasmussen but I did not think Hawaii would slow Jordan down that much he went for 30 kills last week against San Diego State and tonight more errors then kills a lot of credit that though has to go to Hawaii's blockers they had 10 blocks tonight that really made things difficult for for Jordan and when Hawaii wasn't blocking the ball straight down to getting credit for block you're getting great touches and then running transition plays off the touches and doing this for the majority tonight without Skye Williams last week's Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week v tournament MVP I mean the interchangeable parts that we are in essence seeing here for Robin mo in this club it really has given her a lot of options and has given her the confidence to call the number of some of the players who are waiting in the wings exactly they all have confidence they get when she calls their number they know that she's got confidence and then they come in they deliver every single thought every single time it's rare that you see one of the subs come in and not play well look how Wagner came back she was pulled out the second set all of a sudden she comes back in the forth and play some good volleyball okay I had to come in to replace Rasmussen so you know you just never know where Robin I'm oh it's gonna put put the line up who's gonna be put where and when but I do know one thing she's got a lot of good volleyball players to pull to pull from she's got a team that's confident right now they're playing well they even though Rasmussen is out for who knows how long they're gonna find a way to continue to be good oh the cruelty of sports you welcome back McKenna Ross and then Jolie Rasmussen goes down the hope is it is not one that will be an extended injury but we wait to find that out ye back on the floor tomorrow against background okay well obviously I don't think that was my best game but it's okay because I learned a lot of patience throughout this week something with Coach Robb and the team so yeah y'all might think not think I look like a freshman but I think in my eyes I'm like a little freshman I don't know but yeah that came from Baton Rouge Louisiana was coached by two very good coaches shoutout to coach Rob Smith and Donna pic slay they're great coaches they learned me they taught me to like play with heart and just yeah just play ball moving in back to tonight's match you just had a spectacular match it's pretty obvious you've been working really hard and your connection seems to be getting better with the setters how has that come about for you yes okay so the beginning is hard like I need like a connection with my setters but obviously it's easy for an array and if we have a connection so after practices we usually do extra reps and everything and that helped we did extra reps on earlier today after practice and that helps a lot so yeah just like extra practice all the time you know it obviously was a very sad moment when we saw Jolie go down what was that like for you folks on the court and what would what would your reaction saw that kind of ice on my face it was like really sad because I was not expecting it like I looked down then I looked up and Joe it was like on the floor and we were just talking about in the locker room that it's still sad that Joe got hurt but like um we have it we're like a team we've always talked about being a team and then these anyone can come in and pick up from Joe and but yeah we still play with Joe for Joe and we hope she gets better soon so yeah we were told that you played high school huh fiercely but you just played at the open level of club volleyball what got you involved in volleyball really another do you play other sports or was it always volleyball no I did not play other sports I cannot shoot basketball to save my life but I was in fifth grade I started volleyball and freshman year actually started Club which was a little late for people but it's not a club freshman year and yeah I what was the question you said I forgot to I'm just I thought maybe you were like ammo how I started oh yeah yeah yeah I love volleyball I think it's like about sport so a little bit about the relationship that you've built with Skye Williams I mean after his game three there she had the whole group over and you guys were talking and she was not even on the court anymore but she just took the whole team aside and she started sharing information with you and she speaks so highly of you and you are her Isle of Skye I'm like like she's like a big sister to me you know but um yeah even when she wasn't on the court she brings the same energy like she literally told us like I feel like I'm on the court like she just wanted energy from us constantly on today but I love her she's such a big leader she's just a junior and she has one more year but she's such a big leader so far I love her what was it like for you outside of volleyball just moving here to Hawaii what were some of the things that you had to get adjusted to viet new pitching slangs organic food what were some of the things that you have to make moving from Louisiana all the way to Hawaii well there's a classic answer but the food's different but I like it I like spam musubi I really like that yeah but that's good and um what else is different we have to walk a lot but it's college life so um hopefully I can get a car but um parents no but yeah that's it usually it's fun I love the adjustment it's really fun here so there's nice it's a long way from Louise oh yes nine hours what sold you on coming to the University of Hawaii okay yeah the coaches there's probably classic answer to but the coaches are everything they're probably the they're like one of the reasons I came here because obviously they're Olympians but um the just the way they coach like I used to watch them before I even started talking to them and I just knew that on Hawaii played with like such heart like sometimes they were down like maybe ten points and they would still like come out and win the game and I love playing with people like that they just want to play volleyball but yeah all right amber well congratulations continued success
