[Music] you [Music] morning's Torah portion it's called base shelah and you can find it in your Bibles in Exodus 14 1 through 17 16 and we are going to see the theme of Israel being taken from Egypt by God's mighty outstretched hand and brings them through the Red Sea the mikveh as if he's cleansing his bride preparing her for the betrothal at Sinai and there's many things along the way that we are going to see revealed God unifying his people together and desiring to teach them the power and deliverance that accompanies his people when we are unified the four chapters that we are looking at this morning are chapters 14 15 16 and 17 chapter 14 mainly focuses on the parting of the Red Sea and we're gonna see that Israel was unified physically together there on the shores of the Red Sea they couldn't go any further to the east and Egypt's armies were coming down from the West upon them and they had to be really closely packed together on this little shore this little beach outcropping of the Red Sea so we're gonna see the aspect of physical unity there with not only one another but with God then in chapter 15 we see them unified through the song of Moses mentally when we sing together like we talked about the Miche Bay Rock prayer that we sing together how it unifies us in heart and mind for the health and healing of our fellow man and it ties us in on the vertical plane with Hashem as well so we see the physical unity in the red see the mental unity in the song of Moses and then we see the spiritual unity in chapter 16 where God introduces Shabbat we are spiritually unified with him and with one another as we enter into the Covenant of Shabbat and the principle of the double portion of manna is given on the sixth day and that's very significant for us today because we're at the end of the symbolic sixth day we're at the sixth day which is a day of preparation for the Millennial Shabbat and we're receiving a double portion today outpouring of that spiritual manner which Joshua says I was that manna your forefathers ate in the wilderness so through the revelation that Yeshua has given us the ultimate revelation of God's character of selfless love we get a double outpouring of understanding and then in chapter 17 we see for the first time Israel now being dis unified they're here at the the rock and they're grumbling against God did you bring us out here to kill us we have no water we're gonna die and that discord opens up the door for Amalek to attack and we're gonna see the principle of how miracles are going to attend us in our lives if we will be unified but the minute we are dis unified if you will door in discord it opens up the door for a loss of blessings and protection and attack from the enemy and that's exactly what happened to Israel so what did they do they realize their error and they came back together and they unified more than ever and we've got a big climactic scene of Aaron and her raising Moses's arms over the battle as Joshua was fighting down below and they're totally unified mind body and spirit and they are victorious over Amalek just like we will be victorious over sin and over the attacks of the enemies so we're gonna see a lot of themes in both being unified and what happens when we're not unified this morning and we're gonna bring this out in the parties that we go through every week the plain meaning is just the story of the Red Sea and the song of the sea and Shabbat manna and water from the rock and the war with Amalek that seems like just Bible stories but when you plummet deeper into them you see a common theme of the importance of being unified and we see glimpses of God's character just beyond the literal in the Ramez with God's power and salvation and deliverance always seen when we are unified when we are a cod you know when we say the Shema we say shema yisrael adonai elohenu adonai echad God is one and it's his spirit that is our true identity so as we recognize that we recognize one another and we're one with one another this is the whole principle of love your neighbor as yourself being one together and one in him may we be one in him and may he be all in us we're gonna see a lot of hidden glimpses of Yeshua foreshadowed in these stories like the mikveh of the Red Sea the bride going through the mikveh an Israeli bride always goes through a mikvah before she is betrothed and before she's married the manna as I mentioned Yeshua says I was that manna your forefathers ate in the wilderness and he is the living water that flows from the rock of our salvation so we're gonna see in these stories hidden glimpses at the source the author and finisher of our faith and the Living Waters that cleanses us and renews us with new life and of course the application for us is so important to realize that there's power in our unity and deliverance is going to come in our day when we are reunified you know the house of Israel is very disunity tribes have been dispersed amongst the nations they lost their identity they lost their heritage if you will they're their land and they've assimilated to the ways of the nations and Judah who's left in the land doesn't recognize the lost house of Israel where they're at and it's time for us to be unified through the observance of Torah and returning to the land and doing away with our pagan garb so that Judah can recognize Ephraim as their lost brothers and be reunified and then you're gonna see the nations come against Israel as it's prophesied right for three and a half year time of tribulation but it's when Israel is unified that we're gonna see deliverance once again just like we saw that deliverance from Egypt we see a couple enlarged we'll not in large letters but we see some anomalies in the dross as we compare in the Hebrew Scrolls one Hebrew letter from another Hebrew letter one Hebrew word to another Hebrew word this is what I say I meant when he said line upon line and precept upon precept we see a beautiful anomaly in the song of the sea' which tells us of the praises that the people are singing for God's deliverance and there are words split apart in the Hebrew scroll just like the 12 tribes of Israel are marching through the Red Sea this is an anomaly in the Hebrew that I'll show you a picture of when we get to chapter 15 and of course we discussed the unification physically at the sea and how they were unified mentally in singing the praises to God and spiritually they were unified on Shabbat but discord came at the rock and opened up the door for attack we're gonna look at that principle in the last chapter in chapter 17 and then we're gonna go through an acronym of Moses's name with Erin and her holding up his arms and Yehuda down in the battle and some of the deeper significance that this represents we also see an interesting correlation between the word for our Torah portion this morning base shelach which means to send forth and they shelach has a demetria of 300 in 40 and what's amazing is one hebrew word that has a numerical value seemingly unrelated to another hebrew word of the same value is to teach us there's some deeper significance and one of the Hebrew words that has a value of 340 is the word net share which is the same word that's used in the prophecy that a branch a chute shall shoot forth from Jesse remember it's a prophecy of Messiah Yeshua and this word Netzer is not only a branch it's something that's sent forth from the root of the tree now if you think of God is the route he's the source of all things right and who is the vine you shoe is the vine he's like the trunk and we are the branches so you can see this beautiful flowing out of life from the root and Yeshua was sent forth as the Word made flesh from the father and it literally has a double connotation it not only is a branch we're used like a shoot a new limb or a branch but it also means to watch or to guard net share and this is exactly what God is doing when we are unified is he's watching over us he's guarding us he's delivering us as he's sending us forth whether he's sending us forth from Egypt or sending us forth into the nations and the guy Apsara were sending us forth in the last days we can see that he's with us he's watching over us and he's guarding us so we're gonna look at a lot of beautiful principles all in the context of unity today and if you have your Bibles turn with me to Exodus chapter 13 and we start this parsha in verse 17 and it says after pharaoh had let the people go God did not guide them this word he let them go and the English is actually that word base shelach which means when Pharaoh sent them forth God did not guide them to the highway that goes through the land of the Philistine now Stephen you've got your map or is it in the box okay sure any glare and that's where we get amen he's watching over us and we're to be Watchmen on the wall it's a double there's so many dual applications and prophecy so here is the Land of Israel coming down to the Gulf of Aqaba which is one of the fingers of the Red Sea that they crossed through but they were living up here next to the Mediterranean where the nile river which you can't see on this map would have split into seven different smaller rivers as it empties into the Delta of the Mediterranean and there in Goshen so this verse here where it says he didn't send him to the highway leading to the Philistines Gaza is right here Gaza used to be called Ferrar before it was called the land of the Philistines this is where the Philistines lived because they had actually sailed there from someplace across the Mediterranean and they weren't indigenous to the area so the highway the trade route would have been very easy to go from Goshen to right here just a day's journey just go right along the coast but he knew that they were too weak in leaving Egypt they weren't prepared for war so what did he do he sent them down they crossed over the Nile way up here and they seemed to wander way down into the Sinai Peninsula until about halfway down the Gulf of Aqaba and crossed over and this is where Mount Sinai would be which is modern-day Saudi Arabia which I'll show you some maps on the big screen but I just wanted to show you this on this map here he says he didn't send him through the land of the Philistine because it was close by God thought that the people upon seeing war might change their minds and return to Egypt rather God led the people by a roundabout route through the desert by the Sea of Sioux and the people of Israel went up from the land of Egypt fully armed so here is that route where our map ended was right about here this is the edge of that map that we were just looking at the here's Goshen and they could have just come right along here to Gaza the land of the Philistines and entered into the land of Israel but instead God took them through this mountainous desert area and down to the nueva shore where there they crossed on a land bridge that is not very deep underneath the water and then went over to aleem and rough Adeem and then to Mount Sinai and we'll look a little bit more at that in a moment Moses took the bones of Yosef with him for Yosef had made the people of Israel swear an oath when he said God will certainly remember you and you are to carry my bones up with you away from here now this reminds us of what Yosef had done for his father Jacob also said you shall not leave my bones here but bury me in the cave with my father's the Cave of Machpelah and the biggest burial procession that ever was in history went up all of Egypt and went to Hebron where the Cave of Machpelah is and buried Jakub years before about 200 years before now Joseph had been in bombed like a feral would be in bombed and his bones had resided in a tomb septic or for the 200 years that Israel was in slavery and now that they're leaving they're carrying Joseph's bones with him and Joseph was ended up being buried up in Shechem this was the inheritance of Ephraim his son and so this is where Yosef bones are to this very day so they traveled from Sukkot and set up camp in at Tom at the edge of the desert out and I went ahead of them in a column of cloud during the daytime very interesting when we did Sutton dissect these words Adonai went ahead of them in the cloud so literally a shims presence was in this cloud by day and this fire by night this was his very presence yes yeah in Israel which protects them from the incoming missiles from Gaza from Philistia yep and it says at night in a column of fire now it's interesting if you look over in judges chapter 13 you see a relationship verse 20 this is the story of Samson and the angel of Adonai is coming to Samson's father manoa and he took an offering after Manoah asked who are you an angel of the Lord what's your name an angel says why are you asking about my name it is wonderful now it's interesting that 1996 this is an attribute given to the Word made flesh his name shall be wonderful counselor mighty God soma Noah took a young goat in a grain offering and offered them on a rock two out of nine then with Manoah and his wife looking on the angel did something wonderful as the flame went up toward the sky from the altar the angel of ad and I went up in the flame from the altar so you can see here both aspects of I don't I being in the very flame that ascended from the altar just like the flame that led the children of Israel by night it says that it was to give them light and to lead them thus they could travel both by day and by night neither the column of cloud by day nor the column of fire at night went away from in front of the people now ad and I said to Moshe tell the people of Israel to turn around and set up camp in front of P huffy Rhodes P Hockey wrote is the shore right here by Nueva you can see this is a little see this little sandy thin trail between these big almost like cliffs the mountainous region and this is the way that Israel came through these mountains and came out onto the shore and all sudden realized we have nowhere to go water in front of us and the Egyptians are barreling down behind us and this is called peacock he wrote now P is the same route in Hebrew like pay we say pay write the pay letter pay is a face so this is like being in the face of ha is the and he wrote has a connotation of like a golf or the the shore there so this is like the face of the the shoreline also known as nueva Beach and it says this is between migdal and the sea in front of balsa faun the camp opposite it by the sea then Pharaoh will say that the people of Israel are wandering aimlessly in the countryside and the desert has closed in on them and I will make Pharaoh hard-hearted so that he will pursue them and I will win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh and all his army and the Egyptians will realize at last that I am yo-dee-hey Vevey and the people did as God ordered them when the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people and they said what have we done letting Israel stop being our slaves so he prepared his chariots and took his people with him he took six hundred quality chariots as well as all the other chariots in Egypt along with their commanders out and I made Pharaoh stubborn and he pursued the people of Israel as they left boldly the Egyptians went after them all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his Calvary and army and overtook them as they were in camp by the sea by pee husky road in front of balsa faun as Pharaoh approached the people of Israel looked up and saw the Egyptians right there coming after them in great fear the people of Israel cried out to Adonai and said to Moshe was it because there weren't enough graves in Egypt that you brought us out here to die in the desert why have you done this to us bringing us out of Egypt why didn't didn't we tell you in Egypt to leave us alone we'll just let you go on being slaves we'll just go on being slaves for the Egyptians it would have been better for us to be Egyptian slaves than to die here Moshe answer the people stop with your fear and sometimes we need to stop one another when we hear any kind of fear-mongering when we hear any kind of doubt in the power of the Lord we have to lovingly remind one another stop being afraid stop being so fearful remain steady huzzah be strong and of good courage and you will see how Adonai is going to save you you saving God and he's gonna do it today today you have seen the Egyptians but you will not see them again odd and I will do battle for you just calm yourself down this is a very good lesson for us in the last days because there's gonna be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation Daniel describes in Chapter 12 and we know that it's gonna seem impossible but what happens when we stop being afraid and we unify out and I will do battle for us and Zechariah 14 says that Messiah comes back arrayed in battle to save his people from the persecution that's coming upon themselves so with these words mo che calmed them I don't know I asked him O'Shea why are you crying to me tell the people of Israel to go forward lift your staff reach out with your hand over the sea and divide it into the people of Israel will advance into the sea on dry ground as for me I will make the Egyptians hard-hearted and they will march in after them and thus I will win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh in all his army chariots and Calvary then the Egyptians will realize that I am Yohei Vevey here it's reiterated again a double witness when I have one myself glory at the expense of Pharaoh his chariots and his Calvary next the angel of God who is always going ahead of them by cloud by day they it went and moved and went behind them and the column of cloud moved away from in front of them and stood behind them and it stationed itself between the camp of Egypt and all his armies and the camp of Israel so that it couldn't see Israel there was a cloud and darkness there but light by night so that the one did not come near the other all night long and the Egyptians could not surprise the isrealites moshe reached out his hand over the sea and it not and i caused the sea to go back before a strong east wind all night long and he made the sea become dry land and its water divided in two so here you can see God divided the sea by an Eastern storm exposing this underwater land bridge and Moses led the way and went over it as if it was dry land with about two and a half million Israelites following him Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground and the waters were a wall to them on their right and to their left what only out and I could have known is that there is a thin underwater land bridge that's very shallow in this area only stemming from this beach and going across the Gulf of Aqaba now in 1987 Ron Wyatt went there and he did some explorations finding the exact pillars that the Bible describes that Solomon built to commemorate the Red Sea crossing so he there was a pillar on both the Saudi Arabia side and on the Egypt side and so he took a team of scuba divers down and you can kind of see a side profile here here's the deep north part of the Gulf and here's the deep south part of the Gulf of Aqaba but here's this shallow land bridge going across so he's a scuba dived across this land bridge and lo and behold what do you think they found across this land bridge chariot wheels yeah now wood will decay and rot and dissolve but the Pharaohs chariots were encased with gold and gold is one of the few minerals that coral will not grow on and so here with the wood being dissolved the gold had been left like a overlay from the sides of the chariot wheels a perfect chariot wheel shape here's some pictures of it you can see no coral growing on this one but corals growing on this one this is an axle with two wheels so this was probably a warriors chariot not a royalty chariot would have a different amount of spokes and it would be encased in gold and you wouldn't see so much coral on it I'll show you this one a little bit closer up here here it is on its side chariot wheel axle chariot wheel and if you were to look through this you would see this is what it would look like this is what the choral has grown up and around for the last 3,000 years pretty amazing there were yeah right and it not only went throughout all the land of Egypt but to all the lands to the north and to the south and to the east and to the west the Assyrian this is why so many of the tribal people in Canaan and in Syria and in Moab already knew of the power of Israel's God because the news of what God had done for them at the Red Sea had spread like wildfire and the people were very afraid of only Amalek was bold enough to war against them ok great ok no that's beautiful so here on both sides Ron Wyatt found the columns that Solomon had erected with Hebrew paleo Hebrew inscriptions recording different names like Moses name it has the words mitzrayim which is Egypt Solomon his own name for erecting it Edom death Pharaoh mo che yo Dave of hay indicating that King Solomon had set up these columns as a memorial to the miracle of the crossing of the Red Sea now Saudi Arabia does not admit tourists and they know that this was one of the greatest archaeological finds of all times so and it leads the way to the true Mount Sinai which is now in Arabic called Jabal al lawz so once this was discovered that this was a confirmation of the Bible story the Saudi Arabians took this down they put up a flag in its place but they didn't want people to be coming and maybe chipping away at it or to be bringing tourists into the land on the other side on the Egypt side is another pillar so it's showing exactly where they crossed now this picture of Israel being brought through the living waters of the Red Sea by Hashem is a picture of Israel as a betrothed bride getting cleansed and this is what always happens in Israel this is one of the steps of a Jewish wedding Brides in ancient Israel as well as Brides in Israel today experience a mikvah prior to their betrothal and before their wedding the word mikvah means a pool of living water which is used for ritual purification so in essence he's taking his bride his peculiar people from this pagan land full of idol worship and hedonism and he's purifying them before he brings them to his holy mountain the immersion in water is part of their physical and spiritual preparation for the betrothal that's gonna happen at Sinai the mikveh represents a separation from the old life and entering into a new life and it says in first Corinthians Reb I shall recognize this parallel with the mikveh and he wrote in first Corinthians 10 verse 2 and all Israel were mcleod in unto Moses in the cloud and into the sea so passing through the cloud was the type of mikvah cloud is moisture right and his presence was right there they're passing through the cloud and also the sea was a type of mikvah mark 16:16 reads he who believes and goes through the mikveh also known as baptism in english today goes will be saved but he who does not believe will be condemned so imagine this picture as we read about Israel going through the Red Sea they're going through their cleansing preparing for the betrothal that is to come when God gives him his ketubah Covenant at Sinai which is a marriage covenant contract verse 19 next the angel of God who was going ahead of the camp moved behind them verse 21 says Moshe reached out his hand over the sea and out and I caused the seed to go back before a strong east wind all night he made the sea become dry land and its water was divided in two then the people of Israel went into the sea on dry ground with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left the Egyptians continued their pursuit going after them into the sea all Pharaoh's horses chariots and Calvary just before dawn out and I looked out on the Egyptian army through the column of fire so here's another description of him being in the midst of that cloud and he's looking out through the cloud at the Egyptians and he's between the Israelites and the Egyptians and he sees them coming right barreling down into this parted waters and it says that just before dawn he looked out on them through the column of fire and cloud and threw them into a panic he caused the wheels of their chariots to break off so that they could move only with difficulty and that's exactly what we saw under water their wheels broke off and that's what's remaining the Egyptians said I don't know is fighting for Israel against the Egyptians let's get away from them and this is what's going to be seen in the last days as well when Adonai is fighting through mashiac for Israel at his return I don't I said to Moshe reach out your hand over the sea and the water will return and cover the Egyptians with their chariots and Calvary so Moshe reached out his hand over the sea and by Dawn the sea returned to its former depth the Egyptians tried to flee but out and I swept them into the sea and the waters came back and covered all the chariots and Calvary of Pharaoh's army who had followed them into the sea not even one of them was left but the people of Israel walked on dry ground in the sea with the water walled up for them on their right and on their left on that day out and I saved Israel from the Egyptians Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the shore and when Israel saw the mighty and where its might say deed in your Bibles in the Hebrew this is actually the Yad the outstretched arm of God whenever he brings deliverance it is said that he saves with his righteous right hand right his mighty outstretched arm and this is a picture of the implement of his salvation Yeshua and you see this in many places throughout the prophets let's see if I can think of a verse that there is so many places in Jeremiah and Isaiah that talked about his righteous right hand and this is why you sure when he ascended he returned to the right hand of the Father because it was from the right hand from whence he came so Israel saw the mighty hand of Adonai performing miracles against the Egyptians and the people feared Adonai and they believed this word here in Hebrew is all men this is the root of Emunah of our faithfulness they believed in that and I and in his servant Moshe now in chapter 15 we see this beautiful picture of Messiah in the song of the sea' this is literally called the young sheriff Shearer is a song in Hebrew and Yama's se and here is a picture of Hebrew scroll and the way the Hebrew letters are normally written very close together with only one letter space in between the words but when it comes to the song of the sea' all of a sudden you can see a wall to your right and a wall to your left this represents the waters and twelve tribes of Israel marching through and so this is like Israel walking through the walled waters in the Torah scrolls a beautiful anomaly of this picture of their praise for God's deliverance through the separating of the Red Sea mo che and the people of Israel sang this song to Adonai I will sing to Adonai for he has highly exalted now I want you to think about them not only there at their deliverance and the praise that they're singing but think about through your mindset in the last days after going through three and a half years of tribulation and being persecuted and think of the praise how you would sing of God's deliverance so we're gonna see this with the double eyes today I will sing to out a knife for he is highly exalted the horse and it's rider he threw into the sea you know a horse is a vehicle of warfare you right into war with your horse today it might be a tank that we would sink of Asti huh he cast it's the tanks into the sea yah here's the one of the first places where it describes the yo de-evolve hey in a shortened form almost like a nickname yeah is the short form of Jehovah yah is my strength and my song he has become my salvation and what is the Hebrew word for salvation Yeshua so we see even a picture a future picture glimpse of yah is my strength and my song he has become Yeshua this is my god I will glorify Him my father's God I will exalt him Adonai as a warrior Adonai yo David hey Ahava is his name so now it's telling you for his full name it starts off with yah the short version and then it leads up by the end of this now this is all written in Hebrew prose Hebrew poetic verse so it's a poetic song Pharaoh's chariots and his army he hurled into the sea his elite commanders were drowned in the sea of sooth the deep waters covered them the sea of sooth is what they used to call the Gulf of Aqaba the deep waters covered them and they sink to the depths like a stone your right hand Adonai is sublimely powerful once again we see this glimpse of yeshua prophetically as the righteous right hand of God and the prophets say that the right hand the arm of yo David Haye is salvation so in essence what the prophets were saying when they're saying salvation in Hebrew is the right hand the righteous right arm of yo Dave Ave of Jehovah is Yeshua they recognize this and we're gonna look at a couple examples of this because it's gonna mention it again a little further into the song by your green right hand out an eye you shatter the foe by your great Majesty you bring down your enemies you send out your wrath to consume them like stubble with a blast from your nostrils the water piled up the water stood up like a wall the depths of the sea became firm ground and the enemy said I will pursue them and I will overtake them and divide the spoil do you know this term here divide the spoil is exactly what is mentioned when it's talking about Yeshua arrayed like battle in Zechariah 14 it says the spoil taken from you Israel will be divided back to you so when he comes to save all the things that have been stolen from Jerusalem and from Israel will be given back to them so the enemy comes to seek to steal kill and destroy but when God comes as our warrior protecting us he divides the spoils back to us he takes him back from the enemies and gives him back to us the enemy says he's going to Gorge himself on Israel I will draw my sword my hand will destroy them once again this is the yad the yeshua the sword of the Spirit the Word of God made flesh you blew with your wind and the sea covered them they sink like lead in the mighty waters who is like you Adonai among the mighty who is like you sublime and holiness awesome in praised working wonders you O God reached out with your right hand and the earth swallowed them in your love you let the people you redeemed and in your strength you guided them to your holy abode now where's his holy abode roost alone right and this is where he's leading them when you look at some of the other places where David got inspired by this song David's quoting many times in Psalms verses that Moses wrote he calls Jehovah yah in the Psalms he talks again and again about the righteous right hand of Yeshua of salvation in the Psalms and look at psalms 98 verse 1 David is singing a song he's inspired by Moses's song and he says he writes sing a new song to Adonai the old song was the song of Moses right and he's he's experiencing his own deliverance from his enemies so he's writing a song of praise and thanks to God and he's using some of the same parallels as the song of Moses sing a new song to Adonai people because he has done great wonders his right hand there it is his holy arm have won him victory it's Joshua who God uses to win him the victory another place Jeremiah chapter 27 verse 5 God is speaking through the Prophet Jeremiah and he says I made the earth humankind and the animals on earth by my great power and my outstretched arm who created the world in the beginning was the word the Word was with God the Word was God and all things that were created came into being by him and through him and the word became flesh and dwelt among us John 1:1 through 14 is saying the same thing that Jeremiah saying that this outstretched arm which is the word of God which later becomes manifest as Yeshua is the creator of the heavens and the earth and humankind and animals and so we see this glimpse and I could take you to many other places that refer to this righteous right hand of God as the implement of his salvation of his yeshua yes yes that's right awaiting the resurrection totally proverbs 30:4 partner yeah what is his name and what is his son's name if you can tell me I mean you see the replete throughout their scriptures when you know the whole of the scriptures and you have it written upon your heart you see how God works how he manifests himself and he's always manifesting his word as the implement of his salvation so it's God who gets the glory and it's God who we worship in praise but he is manifesting himself through his word in a certain way that unless you have the spiritual blinders taken from your eyes you're not gonna see it you're not gonna recognize that he can yes Amen very good to ponder and this is the joy of our hearts to meditate his word and to compare Scripture with Scripture line upon line precept upon precept so that we can see these anomalies and these correlations in not just one passage or through one writer but replete from writer to writer throughout history I mean we see that Moses originated this concept and David continued it and Jeremiah the Prophet continued to promote it and then Paul who was a rabbi among rabbis and a Pharisee of Pharisees he recognized it all of these men and now today we are a small group of people that are holding fast to the commandments of God and have our testimony in this righteous right hand of God's saving grace and power and this is what really is a description of God's people who hold fast to his word in both applications the written word and the Living Word the written Torah and the living Torah we don't do away with one and and think that God changes he's manifesting himself through his word to save his people and we are so blessed to have that revelation and to be his people yes that's right the whole plan tofu boho you know that came that's right the darkness there is no darkness in Hashem remember James says we serve the father of what light in whom there is no variation or shifting shadow not even a shadow of darkness in him and this is such a pleasure to be able to share with the world our Heavenly Father's true character that he's only life he's not a mixture of life and death he's only light he's not a mixture of light and darkness this is Satan's life from the Garden of Eden that mixture of good mixed with evil but Isaiah says woe to him who calls that which is good evil and evil good God has given us a revelation through Yeshua of his true character that character is a character of ultimate selfless love in that he would lay down his life willingly to save his children amazing beautiful inspiring and we see it here in the song of Moses you that's right and but darkness can't coexist with light so it seems like a consuming fire to those who are harboring darkness you're right yes nope that's right we just reflect that light and then we an if we vibrate at the frequency of selfless love we are harmonious with it it's beautiful that's right yep and in last week's 12 portion we saw him as the slaughterer and the destroying angels that went through Egypt once God had removed his presence there was this vacuum that the Fallen Angels the destroying angels were quick to fill yep and it is the greatest lie and misconception perpetrated upon man you know that he would put his own fallen characteristics upon God and he gets men to worship the father with his characteristics so when we say God is a harsh judgmental punishing angry wrathful God we're really worshipping a different entity aren't we and who has been seeking worship all along even from the heavenly sphere it's been hasatan so we see his MO like you said and we rebuke it and it's our job to vindicate his character not only by talking about it and sharing it with others but by living it out in our lives it's our job as overcomers to vindicate our father's character by living selfless love being the love and the change that we want to see in this world by so exemplifying his character like you shouid it'd that it's through that that the serpent is crushed finally that's why Paul in Romans 16:20 says the God of the peace he's not the God of violence the God of peace will soon crush hasatan under your feet it's through you vindicating his character just like Yeshua did it's beautiful all of this is inspired from the song of Moses the people have heard and they tremble anguish takes hold of those living in the Philistine then the Chiefs of edom are dismayed trepidation ceases the heads of moap all those who are living in Canaan are melted away terror and dread fall on them by the might of your arm they are still as stone until your people pass over Adonai till the people that you purchased see now is rayul is like a redeemed slave girl it's like he's bought her he's paid the price to redeem her from slavery in Egypt the people you purchased will pass over you will bring them in and plant them on the mountain that's Sinai and more specifically the end result of their journey is Mount Zion he's gonna plant them in his holy temple which is your heritage the place Adonai that you make your abode the sanctuary Adonai which your hands establish and this is what we're going to get to experience in the Millennial Kingdom Yeshua says know ye not that you will be priests in Kings or maybe it's mistranslated instead of being priests and kings with me it will be a kingdom of priests the way he intended Israel to originally be so no you not that you'll be a kingdom of priests with me reigning with me for a thousand years in my temple God's holy abode which Moses is speaking about here which Yeshua will establish with his own hands in rebuilding it in the Millennial Kingdom out and I will reign forever and ever for the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and with his Calvary into the sea but how did I brought the sea waters back upon them while the people of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea this was the song Moses taught the people and then his sister Miriam who was a prophetess she took the first couple verses of this song and she made a course out of him with her tambourines she sang with the women the first two lions sink to add an eye for he is highly exalted the horse and it's rider he threw into the sea mo Shane led Israel onward from the sea of Sioux they went out into the shore desert but after travelling three days in the desert they found no water they arrived at Marah Marah means bitter it's the source of the Spanish word Mar for sea it's basically a connotation of brackish water where salt comes up from the springs and you have a Mar like Playa del Mar means the beach of the sea all of these words originated from the Hebrew Mar means bitter because it's got a brackish saltiness bitterness to it this is why they called it Mara or bitterness the people grumbled against Moshe and asked what are we to drink Moshe cried out to the Lord and I don't I showed him a certain piece of wood which when he threw it into the water made the water taste good they're add and I made laws and rules of life for them very amazing statement he teaches him the principle of turning brackish water into pure living water and there he makes laws and rules of life for them do you know it's at the place where the living waters flow from Jerusalem in the millennial kingdom that he will be teaching us his laws and rules of life his eternal principles I call them and they'll be written upon her heart so that will live them out naturally we will not even need to refer to a scroll any longer by the end of the millennium there houghton I taught them but he also tested them he said if you will listen intently to the voice of a deny your God and you do what he considers right and you pay attention to his myths vote and observe his laws look at all of those synonymous words if you listen to the voice of the Lord your God and you do so this is the essence of Shema you don't only hear but you do what is right and you pay attention that means keep your focus on him through his commandments his mitzvot and you observe his laws I will not let you be afflicted with any of the diseases that were brought upon the Egyptians because I am Adonai Rafi I am how Dan I your healer now we know the prophecy of yeshua in malachi ford i think it's verse 22 where it says the sun of righteousness it's a play on the word sun will arise with healing in his wings the Hebrew word for wings is the same as the corner of a garment where you tie your --zt so in essence the prophesied Messiah the Savior would arise with healing for people's sins and their sickness in his observance of the commandments because that's what the tzitzit represent and it was the woman who was afflicted with the loss of blood that knew this scripture in Malachi 4 for 22 and she understood it in the Hebrew that when the Sun of righteousness appears he's gonna have healing in his wings and she needed elene this is why she reached out and touched the hem of His garment where the Zizi were and she was immediately healed and he immediately felt a flow of power go out from him and he asked who touched me and she said it was i sir this prophecy was fulfilled in that day which is so beautiful here it's alluding to it God is our healer and Yeshua is just the implement of his healing and salvation so they came on to Elam where there were 12 Springs and 70 palm trees very interesting correlation here because 12 is a symbolic number of the tribes of Israel which is why you should chose 12 apostles and 70 is the number of the Sanhedrin or the the judges of Israel and so here we see this hinted at with the twelve Springs and seventy palm trees so they camp there and now we see the principle of the manna being introduced to them as they prepare for Shabbat they traveled on from Elam and the whole community of the people of Israel arrived at the scene desert between Elim and Sinai and on the fifteenth day of the second month this is a full moon day after leaving the land of Egypt there in the desert the whole community of the people of Israel begin to grumble against mo che and Aaron the people of Israel said to them we wish had and I had used his own hand to kill us off in Egypt how can you imagine after this miraculous experience in the Red Sea they have the audacity to still grumble and to miss Egypt at all how the hardness of our heart goes so thick we have to really pray that God remove any hardness of our hearts to have that baby skin so that we would never doubt him even in the midst of being tested trials and adversities that we have complete faith in His saving power Egypt I mean Egypt had really done a number on Israel for the last 200 years and had really made them follow the lust of their own hearts eating the fleshpots of Egypt and even for the last 80 years it is said in the book of Jubilees that Israel forgot the holy days of Jehovah they forgot to observe Sukkot so one of the first things that God is doing and bringing them out through the wilderness to Sinai is he's gonna reintroduce his holy days and he starts with Shabbat and then on Mount Sinai he introduces them to shava ode it was this reason that their slavery intensified when you leave the Oracles of God you lose that blanket of protection and blessing and from the time of Moses birth that was about the time that they had stopped keeping Chava owed for 400 years almost 400 years they had observed the feast in the holy days and had pretty much lived in prosperity in Egypt but once they forgot out an either God and His holy days you see the slavery intensifying so here they people are grumbling and they are remembering Egypt it says there in Egypt we used to sit around the fleshpots with the meat boiling and we had as much food as we wanted but you have taken us out into this desert to let this whole assembly starve to death out and I said to motion here I will cause bread to rain down from heaven for you that people are to go out and gather a day's ration for every day by this I will test whether they will observe my instruction my Torah or not see something simple he starts them off with something very simple I'm gonna give you enough food for one day only gather enough food for one day I don't want you to gather more and don't gather less can you even follow that simple instruction can you see how some of the Torah is the most basic of instruction it's like meeting the hard-hearted people where they're at now Tory is applicable for us today but we're not to stay there with just the outward actions of what we do and what we don't do the spiritual hierarchy is such that God wants to take us into the application of how we think how we speak how we the desires of our heart aren't even going against his ways so that by the time your show comes on the scene when he says you have heard it said you know Moses gave you a writ of divorce but from the beginning it was not so he's basically saying it was because of the hardness of your heart and he says you've heard it said you shall not kill your brother but I say to you anyone who even is angry with his brother or hates his brother or calls his brother a fool is in is in in what danger yes of the Hellfire and he says you've heard it said so what he's doing is referring to the written word right where God met Israel because of the hardness of their heart after so many years in Egypt you shall not commit adultery but I say what is your doing he's taking us further in the spiritual hierarchy don't even think about a woman that way Paul tells Timothy later every woman older than you you shall think like a mother treat her like a mother with honor and respect every woman younger than you take care of her protector like a sister with respect keep that separation and that honor and that purity all of these principles are spiritual principles but look at where God had to meet Israel with the basic don't do this or do this or don't do this right and here he's just testing them with can you just pick up a day's worth of the manna but the people couldn't even follow that instruction they went up and they hoarded it and this is what happens with the lust of the flesh is we hoard a lot more than we need to ourself but there's this prince a spiritual principle not to take more than what we need from the resources of the earth and so God tells them that every day you're gonna have enough for that day but on the sixth day I'm gonna give you twice as much a double portion so Moshe and Aaron told all of this to the people this evening you will realize that it has been out and I who brought you out of Egypt and in the morning you will see a denies glory for he has heard your grumblings what are we that you should grumble against us Moshe added what I have said will happen when I don't I gives you meet to eat this evening and your fill of bread tomorrow morning a Danite has listened to your complaints and grumblings against him what are we your grumblings are not against us but against God and that's the way it is also when we grumble against one another or even the leaders that God has put to lead us in our lives when we grumble against one another when we commit Lashon Hara who are we really speaking out against God because it's his spirit that is your true identity so we have to be so careful to only use uplifting words edifying words encourage the body along the paths of righteousness but not grumbling because when we grumble or when we say namely negativity we are speaking against God he said Satan he told Aaron say to the whole community of Israel come close into the presence of Adonai for he has heard your grumblings and this is what the whole Torah is about it's God's way to meet the people where they're at so that they can begin the cleansing process so that they can draw near to him they can come close to him as Aaron spoke to the whole community of the people of Israel they look toward the desert and there before them the glory the Shekinah of Jehovah appeared in the cloud and out and I said to Moshe I have heard the grumblings of the people of Israel say to them at dusk you will be eating meat and in the morning you will have your fill of bread then you will realize that I am out and I your God now God in Romans 1 it describes cause wrath not as an angry punishing situational God but that God he seeks to protect us even from ourselves we don't know what's good for us right sometimes we eat too much sometimes we think the wrong thoughts God is desiring to protect us from the cause and effect of that imbalance of these wrong principles this cause and effect in our life and what he does is at some point because of the freedom of choice he allows us to experience the cause and effect of our choices in Romans 1 it's described as him giving us over to the lust of our flesh very apt description because this is exactly what he's doing to Israel he's saying you want meat I'll give you meat I'll give you so much media will be coming out your nose you'll see what this meat does to your stomach out in the desert you know they needed to be totally purified in the water they drank in the mana that they ate so that they could be close they could draw near to God but flew through flesh eating we are taking death into our vessel into the temple of God and you don't have that closeness as much as when you're fasting or when you're eating a vegetarian diet like they didn't Eden so he's basically here going to give them the lust of their heart and he's gonna give them meat in the form of quail that evening quail came up and covered the camp while in the morning there was a layer of do all around the camp the dew had evaporated there on the surface of the desert was a fine flaky substance as fine as frost on the ground when the people of Israel saw it they asked each other man who Mon in Hebrew means what and who is it what is it because they didn't know what it was Moshe answered them it is the bread which out and I has given you to eat it's both spiritual bread and a physical bread it's perfect sustenance here is what not and I has ordered each man is to gather according to his appetite each is to take in Homer which is about two quarts per person for everyone in his tent the people of Israel did this some gathered more some less but when they put it in the omer measure whoever had gathered more had no excess miraculously and whoever had gathered less than an omer had no shortage so each person had gathered a perfect amount according to what they needed their perfect amount of sustainability and according to their appetite was totally taken care of moshe told them no one is to leave any of it until morning but this one little test they did not follow and they hoarded leftovers until morning and it bred worms and it rotted which made Moshe angry at them so they gathered it morning after morning each person according to his appetite but as the Sun grew hot it melted and on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread to OMERS per person and all the community leaders came and reported to Moshe and he told him this is what out and I has said tomorrow is a holy Shabbat for Jehovah make what you want to bake boil what you want to boil and whatever is left over set aside and keep for Shabbat and this is what the origin of using Friday the sixth day of the week as a preparation day we make twice as much food so it can carry us over into Shabbat so that we don't have to do any work on Shabbat this is why soups have become so popular on Friday because they last and they go a long ways tomorrow is a holy Shabbat he told them so they set it aside until morning as Moshe had ordered and it didn't have any rottenness or any worms in it miraculously it was perfectly fresh just like when they had gathered in and Moshe said today eat this because today is a Shabbat for Adonai today you won't find it in the field God told you to gather at six days but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest so on that day there's not going to be any however on the seventh day what do you think the people did they wanted to go out and test the Lord see if it's really out there see if they could gather more there was none out there out and I said to Moshe how long will you people refuse to obey my mitzvot and teachings and he's still saying that today how long will you people refuse to obey my mitzvot in my teachings I had a long dialogue with a brother this week about which commandment should we keep and he was taught that only the Ten Commandments are applicable for us today and he didn't realize that there were so many other instructions in righteousness throughout the Torah and so it was a blessing to have this Bible study with him back and forth how'd and I said to Moshe look I have given you the Sabbath this is why I'm providing bread for you for two days on the sixth day each of you stay where you are I don't even want anyone to leave your house now on the seventh day because you've gone out and you've doubted me and you've searched for this manna so the people truly rested on the Sabbath day they stayed in their homes and they rested in the Lord the people called this food manna and it was like coriander seed you can see them gathering it up in pause it was like a dew coriander has a beautiful flavor they use it a lot in Indian desserts this would been like like the best baklava you know it was sweet like honey and tasted like coriander and just melted on your tongue like a little wafer Moe she said here is what Adonai has ordered let two quarts of mom be kept throughout all your generations so that they will be able to see the bread which I fed you in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt do you know where this man was kept in the Ark of the Covenant itself and for all generations to remember the Providence of God Moshe said to Aaron take a jar put it put in it two quarts of manna and set it aside before out a night to be kept throughout all your generations just as out and I ordered Moshe Arens set it aside before the testimony to be guarded the Ark of the testimony or the Ark of the Covenant and the people of Israel ate manna for forty years until they came to an inhabited land they ate manna until they arrived at the borders of Israel which it was called Canaan so looking at this principle of the double portion of manna they said what is it Deuteronomy 8:3 it says any humble D and suffered thee to hunger and fed thee with manna and you know it's good when we allow ourselves to suffer a little bit with physical from physical food because it's the spiritual food that will really sustain us both physically and spiritually if you try to fill yourself with physical food there's a principle where you won't even feel like studying your spiritual food because the blood rushes from your brain and from your frontal lobe and goes to your stomach to be digested this is why this thin little wafer was just enough to sustain both the physical body but it was also spiritual food it's likened unto angel food you see rabbi shai will referred to in the New Testament so mo che in Deuteronomy is reminding them of how God is provided this is at the end of 40 years it says he suffered you to hunger and he fed you with manna which you did not know and it's kind of like Yeshua saying I was that man of your forefathers a and many people have been sustained by him and their life is preserved by him and they've been saved by him and yet they don't know what is it man who who is he we don't even recognize how that has sustained us neither did your father's know that he might make thee know that man does not live by bread alone see what Yeshua was quoting from Deuteronomy is the essence the spiritual principle of man shall not be so dependent on the physical food but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God how many words every word is the true food that we are to eat as children of God the true spiritual food this is what he was quoting but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of yah hava does man truly live and it's talking about the difference between feeding yourself physically and and maybe living for a day but dying tomorrow versus eating every word of God and living forever this is the spiritual principle this is why I encourage so many people to follow the practice of the Essenes and return to fasting more and types of self-denial of physical food because it's in those times of fasting that your spiritual plane is heightened and God can reveal things even visions and dreams are enhanced when you're fasting so the Essenes made it a regular practice of their life too fast for a week at a time regularly they said less than a week really it doesn't have a deep significance seven days that's when you start to have breakthroughs and of course Yeshua and they had certain practices and techniques that I can teach you at another time that could sustain them for 40 days out in the wilderness which is really beautiful John 648 says I am the bread of life this is Yeshua speaking your father's did eat manna in the wilderness and our dead this is referring to himself he says this is the bread which comes down from heaven that a man may eat thereof and not die this is what I'm talking about we need the spiritual Word of God this is what we need to sustain ourselves on start eating more of that and less of all of this physical food which is so so less than the way God created it even especially the processed foods you don't even want any processed foods in your diet but return to the Eden diet if you're gonna eat anything in between your fastings eat those things with seed in it the way God commanded in Eden for perpetual life every fruit bearing seed after its kind and every herb bearing seed after its kind this is the bread which came down from heaven not as your father's ate the manna and our dead he that eateth of this bread shall live forever he's talking about the Word of God because he's the Word of God made flesh and what is the Word of God like you to seed it is the seed of God that gives life and that we are to eat revelation 2:17 says he the half-a-year speaking of a spiritual ear spiritual discernment let him hear what the Spirit says - and this word that's been translated as ecclesia are actually Assembly of called-out messianic believers these are the different assemblies that are being spoken of in Revelation so this is a message for us today to him that overcomes I will give to of the hidden manna God's calling us to overcome one of the very first things that we do to overcome sin is start fasting and denying the flesh cuz all sin is self focused I will give him also a white stone and in the stone a new name written which no man knows saving he that receiveth so your name is indicative of your character and the areas where God is gonna develop your character and enhance it that's the area that you'll be given a new Hebrew name which reflects that aspect of overcoming in your life and you will be given the right to eat of that manna once again and that a neat thought to think of in the Millennial Kingdom we'll be able to eat that spiritual food there's times when I'm fasting where I don't even desire to go back to with physical food it's like you feel so close to a shim and I can imagine eating that manna will be the same way you won't have any desire for anything else but of course there'll be fruit you know the Tree of Life it says has a there's a different fruit every month and the leaves are the leaves for the healing of the nation so there's a purpose for certain kinds of food but its purpose is for healing certain things it's not to be gluttonous and not to overeat or to feed the flesh so he's speaking here of this hidden manna he who overcomes I will give the right to eat of the hidden manna and what is the hidden manna the manna as it was laid up in the most holy place in the ark under the cover of the two cherubim obtained the name of hidden as it was preserved for future generations was preserved for us it was hidden away for thousands of years and it's now unseen Moses said to Aaron take a pot and put an omer of manna in it and lay it up before the Lord to be kept for your future generations this is what revelation is fulfilling when it's talking about will be given the right to eat from that hidden manna the savior yahshua has risen and ascended to the right hand of the Father between the two cherubim in the heavenly most holy place and thus the hidden manna which is yeshua which our forefathers ate of which we are receiving a double portion of our day here we're at the end of the sixth symbolic day the sixth Millennial day and we are preparing for the Millennial Shabbat and Yeshua is outpoint a knowledge and spiritual principles of how to return to God by returning to Torah and we are eating of that spiritual manna in double portion and it's gonna carry us into the Millennial Shabbat beautiful prophetic picture manna was provided for 40 years until Israel crossed over into the promised land when Yeshua comes back and the world recognizes him as the Messiah and the age of Meshach begins he's going to take he is elect back over we're gonna cross over back into the promised land so it's an apt parallel manner provided life in a barren wilderness and it is even called angels food in Psalm 78 verse 23 through 25 the manna mentioned in Revelation 2:17 is set in direct contrast to the things sacrificed to idols people claiming to follow God have been eating earthly pagan food but the overcomer is promised heavenly food from above so more and more we need to be called out believers we need to be totally set apart and also set apart different kinds of foods so now we go into the principle of the water brought forth from the rock chapter 17 first one says the whole community of Israel left the Sinai desert or the scene desert traveling in stages as that and I had ordered and encamped at refa Deane but there was no water for the people to drink the people began to be discordant they begin to quarrel with Moshe a demanding give us water to drink but Moshe replied why pick a fight with me why are you testing God however the people were thirsty for water and they grumbled against Moshe for why did you bring us up from Egypt once again the same old argument you know first it was we can't get through this water why did you bring us out from Egypt then it was we're hungry why did you bring us out from Egypt now we're thirsty why did you bring us out from Egypt it's the same old argument and there's gonna be a time where we who do not take the mark of the beast will not be able to buy or sell are you gonna be prepared through your fasting in prayer too in a sustainable state without grumblings or are you gonna cry why did you take us out from the cities where we used to be able to go to the store and eat meat galore and have our barbecues and watch our football games or are you gonna already be so separated and sanctified that it's not much of a transition at all to just be like John the Baptist's or Elijah or Yeshua or Moses fasting for 40 days and beat sustained by the heavenly manna this is our goal but character change doesn't happen overnight so this is why we're learning and talking about these principles and we're internalizing them so that we can begin each one through the power of the Holy Spirit to begin to apply these principles to our own life and be prepared for that time man amen yes we're gonna have a wilderness experience before we enter into the Promised Land and he is preparing us to sustain yes that's right because it's about what you hear and what you do so the way you think is affected with whether you're gonna be a part of the babylonian system or whether you're going to truly follow God's mandate and can come out of her my people so that you participate not in her sins which what is sin but transgression of the Torah and you receive not of her plagues what are plagues but cause and effect of living out of harmony with God's ways and you're removing yourself from his blanket of protection and then you receive not only the sins but the the plagues the loss of blessing and so the way we think is reflected in that he will seal us in our foreheads and in our hand the mark of the beast is just a counterfeit the way they think and the way they work they're going to be working on Shabbat they're going to be working to save themselves all of these are principles contrary to the character of God where we are going to be resting in him and trusting him for our deliverance and it's a good point so here we see mo che taking these grumblings from the people and their arguments then they said why did you bring us out from Egypt to kill us our children and our livestock with thirst so Moshe once again prostrates himself before the Lord and he praised what am I to do with these people they're ready to stone me how tonight order answered mo che go on ahead of the people and bring with you the leaders of Israel take your staff in your hand the one that you used to strike the river and go I will stand in front of you there on the rock in Horeb so here's that rock they were gathered around now this is a huge big basin a plane where the mountains to the east and the mountains to the west but there's a huge flap valley here and then there's this outcropping now you can see the size of a man and as he gets off in the distance he would only be about this high this is a huge big rock and when God told Moses to smite this rock this rock split open and fountains of living water gushed forth and to this day you can see the waters home down the rocks there's no sharp edges on these rocks these look like river rocks because the water flooded out of this rock tumbled down and filled this Basin like a lake so that two and a half million people with all their livestock could all have enough water and the Israel camped round about it one time I jumped into this on Google Earth and you can actually see the topography of the land with this kind of in the center of this valley just beautiful so he tells them take your staff the one that you used to strike the river and I want you to go and stand in front of the rock you are to strike the rock and water will come from it now we know Yeshua is the rock of our salvation and through our sins and our grumblings and our hard-heartedness we have struck him Isaiah 53 says that he was afflicted by our transgressions right he was beaten and bruised for us it was like striking the rock but are we to keep striking the rock through our sins no I by the end of the 40 years what did God tell Moses to do when they needed water speak to the rock that's the principle have an intimate relationships so close that you have a dialogue with the Word of God this is the principle but through the hardness of heart some will still strike the rock and this was Moses sin that Satan claimed against him and did not allow him to go into the Promised Land by striking that rock in frustration twice is like committing knowing sins over and over again and just expecting you sure to magically take it and they expect that you're gonna have eternal life while you continue sinning this is the lie that is perpetuated so many believers around the world that Jesus has done it all you can keep sinning you don't have to observe the Torah now sin is the transgression of the Torah so in essence what are you saying just keep striking him don't worry about it you're gonna magically be saved and perpetuate sin through all eternity no this is why the living Torah is calling us back to Torah observance so that we can stop sinning the wages of sin are death but the gift of God is eternal life through Yeshua the living Torah who teaches us how to live out Torah even on a higher spiritual plane and level so here Moshe is symbolically striking the rock so that the people can drink of these living waters that flow from it Moshe did this in the sight of the leaders of Israel the place was named masa which means testing and mervy which means bitter dispute or quarreling because of the quarreling of the people of Israel and because they tested out an eye by asking is God even with us or isn't he that doubt is so severe and out ultimately leads to our destruction and it was this contention this lack of unity that created an opening a loss of blessings of God's protection over them a lot an opening for the attack by Amalek because you see in the very next verse then Amalek came and fought with Israel at refa deem the minute they doubted that God was even with him and they quarreled amongst one another they lost that unity there was protection and blessings in that unity but the minute we step outside of God's blanket of blessing of protection everything else is a domain of death in which fallen angels are quick to attack and this is the principle that we see here with Amalek the spirit of Amalek is prophesied to arise in every generation whenever God's people are divided this is when you're gonna see somebody try to attack them Amalek came and fought with Israel at redeem Moshe said to yahushua choose mint for us go out and fight with amalek tomorrow i will stand on top of the hill with god's staff in my hand now yahushua who is from the tribe of ephraim he goes out as Moshe had told him and he fights for Israel so it's interesting how Ephraim I swear it for meit's today America and Britain and who are the two people who are standing up for Israel who are fighting as allies for Israel America and Britain interesting and this is what yahushua represented he did as moshe told him and he fought with Amalek then Moshe Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill and when Moses would raise up his hands Israel would prevail in victory but when he would start to get tired and let them down Amalek would prevail this represents the blessings of God over Israel however Moshe his hands grew heavy so they took a stone and they put it underneath him so he could sit down now even the stone is symbolic of Yeshua you know the word for stone in Hebrew is evan and evan looks like an olive which represents Elohim right and this word olive bait is the word for father so you see the father hidden in the stone now the word stone pen has a noon so feet this aspect represents father ABBA and the bait and the noon Ben Ben means Sun so here you see him supported by the father and the son in this Evan stone and Erin and her held up his hands one on one side and one on the other so that his hand stayed steady until sunset or in the Hebrew until the coming of the son interesting may we be supported by the father and the son and be supported in brotherly love until the coming of the son which has a connotation of sunset so here's Aaron's name and you can see I've written it also on the board here a on and you see hers named Erin and her are on his right side and his left side supporting his arms Yehuda he's down fighting I mean yahushua i shouldn't have written you know yahushua is down fighting the battle and Moshe sitting on the stone and blessing the people and if you take the first letter of each of their names Aron her yahushua and mohei being the meekest and the most humble of all men he is on the the very bottom you get this acronym of a team which means brothers an awk which means brothers singular is also the root of a cod which is unity so you can see here's yahushua some reason that's thinking of you who to this morning I wrote Yehuda but yahushua and mo che and you take the olive and the head and the Yoda and the mem and you get a word which means brothers unified together this is when they were victorious when they were all working together and they were unified as one we see that I don't I said to Moshe write this in a book to be remembered and tell it to yahushua I will completely blot out any memory of Amalek from underneath heaven Moshe built an altar and he called it out of 9ec which means Jehovah is my banner I'm on my miracle and he said because their hand was against the throne of yah out and I will fight Amalek generation after generation so let me change this here because it's yahushua I'm going to show you some more symbols of each of these men's names yeah Joshua so mo che symbolizes the Torah it is said that there that the world is supported by three foundational spiritual principles the Torah service to God called Abu deem and acts of kindness if we will incorporate all three of these things into our lives we will be sustained in the world by teaching it to the nations will be sustained well you can see here yahushua is acting as our protection right he's the warrior down below he's our protector and this is an apt description of yahushua both ben yosef and ben de vide her was the husband of Miriam Miriam is like the living waters that flow out in blessings so we think of acid acts of loving-kindness exactly what Dan is doing by feeding the poor this is called hessin the principle of Husson so we could call it loving-kindness if you will or charity Aaron as the high priest his sole focus and job is to do acts of service to God for the people he's a type of intercessor and sir our service to God is called Avedon Hebrew so Abu Dharr just so you remember service to God now they even have more depth of meaning in that Torah is like the food that we eat it's the spiritual manna it's every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God that we're called to eat right if you sure is our rabbi we're his disciples and he's teaching us hey guys I'm gonna teach you some deep spiritual principles how to really live how to really go to the next level see this food it's not all that the physical food feeds the physical body and everything that's focused on self leads to self-destruction so let me tell you a higher spiritual way eat the food of God every word the Torah is the manna so you could literally think of this as the manna or the spiritual food that we need to eat every day this is the true spiritual food that leads to eternal life the acts of kindness were accompanied by the Shekinah whenever an offering was accepted by the Lord you would see the Shekinah glory dwelling there and so Aaron is likened unto the Shekinah or instead of saying Aaron I should say service to God remember Sarah's tent the shekinah dwelt with Sarah's tent because of her service to God through serving her husband Abraham says the Shekinah attached itself to her tent he never left until her death then it ascended now her he is the husband of Miriam and Miriam comes from that word Mar which is a type of brackish bitter waters right but through loving kindness through acts of loving kindness it's like we become the hands and feet of Hashem we become the living water to sustain life of his people so you can see some correlations between the three pillars that support the world torah hesed and Ovid ah being likened to the Shekinah the living water and the manna the spiritual food which is Torah we need all three elements in our life everyday service to God and study of Torah without serving our fellow man means nothing right because his selfless love is not put into application into action and vice-versa serving your fellow man all the time at the expense of prayer and meditation and studying Torah you're gonna lose that connection with the source of life and pretty soon the reason you're doing it is the wrong reason it's not completely our altruistic it's not gonna be lasting it's not going to be eternal so any one of these mixed up without the third one is not gonna be lasting a it's like a three three toadstool you know it's skin support you you take out one of the legs and you fall over this is very important for us to understand in our life and who is yoshi yahushua he is the shekinah hebrews 1 says he is the exact representation of the Father the very essence of the Shekinah he is the living water he is the manna so you see yahushua right at the center of it is reflected by all three of these elements in our life so in closing I thought we would go into some of the parallels in our haftorah portion just so you can get familiar with what the haftorah portion is and why it is chosen as such this week it's in judges chapter five and it's the story of Deborah and Deborah and what was the prophets name brach I think he and her had victory over the Canaanites in this huge battle and what do they do in chapter 5 in our haftorah but they sing a song of praise to the Lord much like the song of Moses so this is why when we couldn't study Torah during the time of the Greeks they used this as a parallel to remind the people of the song of Moses and his deliverance from their enemies in Egypt and you'll see some parallels here then sing deborah and barak I'm sorry did I say Baraka Brock the son of ABY Noam on that day saying crazy the Lord for avenging of Israel so God avenged us from our enemies the Egyptians he avenged us from our enemies the Canaanites and he's going to avenge us from our enemies in the last days who come and seek to divide Jerusalem when the people willingly offered themselves here's a connotation of unity they are together and giving themselves to the Lord so that theme even comes through the haftorah hero ye Kings and give ear o ye princes I even I will sing to the Lord I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel Lord when you went out of Seir so just like you when he took Israel out of Egypt there's a parallel of him taking us out of sea air this is when we were against the Edom and they lived in the descendants of Esau lived in Sierre when the AU marched out of the field of Edom the earth trembled and the heavens dropped and the clouds also dropped water the mountains melted from before the Lord even that Sinai from before the Lord God of Israel so I'm not gonna read all 31 verses of this chapter but I just wanted to show you the first five verses and how it parallels the tour portion that we're reading today with God's deliverance with the people's unity and with the songs that we are to sing in praise and thanks him in closing I want to fast forward now into the future revelation 19 we see after these things John hears a voice of much people in heaven saying hallelujah what are they doing they're singing praises why because of his recent deliverance Yeshua has come and delivered the bride who was being persecuted they say Yeshua and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God for true and righteous are his judgments for he has judged the great who's the a false Babylonian system that's permeated all of the cities of the earth and have controlled God's people and enslaved them he's delivered them from that which did corrupt the earth with her fornication just like Egypt corrupted Israel with her fornication and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand and again they said halle-loo yah their giving glory to yah and her smoke rose up for ever and ever and the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne saying amen hallelujah and a voice came out of the throne saying praise our God all you servants and you that fear Him both small and great and I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude and the voice of many waters as the voice of many thunderings this is the very voice of God that they heard at Sinai sounded like many waters but is also like thunderings and those who weren't right with him it was fearful for them to hear his voice this voice is saying hallelujah for the Lord God omnipotent reigns let us be glad and rejoice so the Saints are singing this song of praise to God for his deliverance so we saw Moses and Miriam singing after the deliverance from Egypt we see deborah and barak singing after god's deliverance from canaan and we see us and all the saints singing in the heavenly sphere after the deliverance that yeshua brings let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him for the marriage of the lamb has come this is the second coming and his wife have made herself ready so tell me what time of year is this when are we singing this song in the fall at yom teruah yeah now Sukkot will be when you see the marriage supper of the Lamb but first the wedding has to occur and the wedding occurs between those seven days between yom teruah the day of trumpeting which can fall on any one of the two days of the first of Tishri first or second of Tishri and then you come out of the hoop of the heavenly Kupa with the veil lifted on yom kippur and that's when yom kippur actually means covering so it's like the covering is being lifted and you know him even as you are knowing and then there's the final five days between yom kippur and Sukkot for the merit the marriage supper of the lamb so here we're talking about yom teruah language the marriage of the lamb has come and his wife have made herself ready how has she made herself ready exactly what we've been talking about today by overcoming sin by living out these spiritual principles by denying the flesh and living and feasting on God's Word even more than the physical food it says that she is without spot or blemish it says the white raiment that she wears is the righteousness of the saints and to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen clean and white for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints so those that think that Yeshua is going to do it all for people we have to think again there's a work for us to do this is why it says to him who gains the victory I will give to the right to eat of the Tree of Life to him who overcomes I will make a pillar in my father's temple and he said to me write blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the lamb and he said unto me these are the true sayings of God so in closing be encouraged the same deliverance that we see god enacting for our forefathers from Egypt and had he continued to protect his people against the Canaanites he is going to come and he's going to protect us after the time of trouble and he is going to take us to the marriage supper of the lamb he's not only redeemed us but he's going to restore us and he's gonna restore all things in the Millennial Kingdom including fulfillment of Jeremiah 31 verse 33 writing torah upon our hearts and mind and soul and recreating us in the image of god so that we can live in eternity with the father and no longer have any element of self separating us from our God and our creator and the lover of our souls so with that let's stand and we'll close in prayer Abba Father we thank you so much for revealing your principles of unity and the importance of submitting to you and being overcomers of sin through the power of the blood of the Lamb father we thank you for your schewe the greatest example of your selfless love ever exhibited in his into this world through his selfless sacrifice and we just pray father that through beholding you through him we can become changed into your likeness and we pray for you to remove all elements of self and ego from us and help us to live out your three pillars Torah and acts of kindness and service to you in our daily lives father we love you we thank you and we feast upon your word and we asked your blessing upon the physical food that you've created for us to feast upon as well and we ask a blessing upon this fellowship and upon all the world assembly have called out believers in your holy name we pray amen hallelujah look forward to that day you
