however conspiracy minded Disney fans have come to the conclusion that the perpetrator was one man in particular welcome back to the Binger everyone when we think of Disney movies they bring to mind charming characters talking animals and innocent entertainment according to some fans though that perception couldn't be further from the truth detailed examination of Disney's movies by these fans have led to some truly dark theories in this video we're exploring some of the darker theories about what's really going on in our favorite Disney films fair warning though these could ruin some of your favorite childhood memories we always assumed that Aladdin was set in the distant past but one fan theory claims that the movie is actually set in the far future and that future takes place after the apocalypse the roots of this theory go back to the genie when he's released from his lamp he says that he's been trapped there for 10,000 years so unless he has time-traveling abilities the genie couldn't know about game shows and all the other pop-culture references that he makes however genie could know about all that stuff if the last time he was active was in the 1990s plus the theory explains why no one questions the magic in the movie magic carpets it's just a form of hovercraft technology human-like talking parrots that's post-apocalyptic mutation or advanced genetic experimentation there's even speculation that the Cave of Wonders is a fallout shelter the theories backed up by the movies video game - which included modern elements like a stop sign and an atomic bomb a whole new world is right the idea of never growing up in Peter Pan seems like wish fulfillment but what if that's not exactly what's going on one fan Theory has it that Peter Pan isn't just the leader of the Lost Boys he's actually an angel who appears to children after they've passed away it's his job to accompany them to Neverland which is actually heaven there's actually some evidence for this theory JM Barrie the author of the book Peter Pan is based on had a brother who passed away at 13 in other words he never grew up in fact Barrie is said to have read the book to terminally ill children to alleviate their fears of their short lives ending all that makes this theory seem pretty plausible [Music] the idea that pan is an angel has a sort of bittersweet innocence at the other end of the spectrum is this next far more disturbing theory about Peter Pan in it The Lost Boys are very much alive however Pan is the only one in Neverland who actually never grows up and he finds the other kids aging out of the Lost Boys demographic unacceptable so when that happens pan eliminates the unacceptably old Lost Boys this is another theory that comes straight from JM Barrie's book the book contains a passage that says when Peter discovers the Lost Boys are growing up he thins them out if the meaning of thins then out seems less than harmless in this context one of the most popular Disney villains of all time is Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent the cold is ice evil fairies seem to meet her demise at the end of the movie however there's one fan theory that claims it didn't happen according to the theory because Maleficent was a dragon when Prince Philip stabbed her it was this super-sized form that met its end in fact in one blink and you'll miss it frame of the film Phillips sword appears to turn black perhaps in that moment Maleficent's dark energy fused with his sword if Maleficent was still alive and trapped in the sword it stands to reason that at some point she would have been released when that happens Maleficent could go on to wreak all sorts of havoc around the time the movie takes place in fact the theory attributes some of the most tragic events of the 14th century to a living and very angry Maleficent let's move on to another bad guy focus theory this one speculates that not only did the Evil Queen survive the events of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but she appeared in another movie yeah the Evil Queen continued her quest for youth and beauty in tangled the Evil Queen reinvented herself as Mother Gothel making tangled a sequel to Snow White it actually makes sense when you think about it the characters look pretty similar the both obsessed with their looks they both do terrible things to maintain their beauty they both understand magic and if that weren't enough the dagger Mother Gothel keeps looks a lot like the one the evil queen hands to the Huntsman coincidence I think not there's another snow-white theory that's even darker and this one pertains to the princess herself reddit user she Rosati posits that the movie didn't actually have the happy ending that we all thought it did that's because the prince isn't a prince he is actually the grim reaper and when he kisses Snow White he isn't waking her up he's preparing her to go to the next realm the idea is even backed up by the white horses that Snow White and the prince ride off on she Rosati sees them as a biblical reference to the pale horses mentioned in Revelations snow even waves to the dwarfs like she'll never see them again and if she was leaving for the afterlife she wouldn't how's that for making you completely rethink your childhood if it hasn't become obvious already many dark Disney theories have to do at the end of characters lives and Kristof's looks like it's made of reindeer pelts so fans have speculated that Christoph's clothes could be made from spends mom say it ain't so Kristoff does that mean Sven doesn't no Kristoff is wearing his mom even if he's not let's face it Kristoff wearing any reindeer in front of his reindeer buddy is dark enough here's another theory that takes us right back to Neverland it claims that the Little Mermaid and Peter Pan share a universe through Ariel's mother Queen Athena and The Little Mermaid we never see Ariel's mom or learn where she is however and the directive video prequel movie The Little Mermaid Ariel's beginning we learn Queen Athena's life was ended by pirates Peter Pan's nemesis just so happens to be the dastardly pirate Captain Hook and the denizens of Neverland do include mermaids witch Captain Hook says he despises furthermore there's a mermaid and Peter Pan who happens to have red hair and a green tail which is suspiciously similar to Ariel many suspect that the mermaid is Ariel's mother and she meets her fate at the hands of Captain Hook given all of the evidence this theory actually seems pretty plausible no wonder Ariel's father King Triton says he hates humans one of the video games Ralph visits during wreckit-ralph is called hero's duty the game's fronted by a character named Calhoun she and her platoon fight a creepy menace called SCI bugs and Calhoun's commitment to her cause came from her tragic backstory on her wedding day she forgot to do a perimeter check and when she and her fiance were at the altar a side bug attacked it ate Calhoun's fiance before she could take care of it an incident that's haunted her ever since if there may be something the story left out however that makes it even more awful later in the film King candy is eaten by a sigh bug instead of that ending his life though he seems to have merged with the bug and becomes some sort of King candy sigh bug hybrid as if those stupid things weren't creepy enough you know if that's what happens when sigh bugs eat someone that means Calhoun didn't just take out a sigh bug she took out a sigh bug with the face of the man that she was about to marry if you look closely at Snow White in the Seven Dwarves dopey and Pinocchio Gepetto you'll notice they share an eerie resemblance same oversized ears same round nose same Dewey face they also behave similarly in their respective movies they're both kind clumsy and a bit confused on tumblr a fan named dress Abdali proposed the characters are actually the same person and the reason why is pretty disturbing the theory suggests that there were originally only six Dwarfs at one point they found a baby who they believed was a dwarf they took a man but they abused him and made him do the hard shores at the time of Snow White he was quite young and unable to talk however when he grew taller and the dwarves realized he wasn't one of them they kicked him out after that dopey changed his name to Geppetto and became a woodworker for the rest of his life he held a torch for Snow White so when he created Pinocchio he made it look like what he believed his and Snow White's child would look like which explains why Pinocchio shares so many of Snow White's traits if that doesn't make you rethink both movies nothing will the fans have also speculated about a possible connection between the movies frozen tangled and a Little Mermaid and frozen Anna and Elsa's parents lose their lives in an off-screen shipwreck on Facebook a fan named beautiful sin speculated that they were on their way to the Royal Wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn in Germany if you look closely during Elsa's coronation in frozen you can glimpse Rapunzel and Flynn greeting Hana so the characters from the two films definitely know each other if Anna and Elsa's parents were sailing to Germany from Norway around halfway between would be Denmark and Denmark as the assumed under home of the Little Mermaid in fact on tumblr there was a terrible disparity between rich and poor in Agrabah Jafar wanted to fix the problem but had to stop the Sultan's irresponsible spending to do it his plan was to take over so he can make Agrabah a better place so despite the treacherous scheming and creepy plan to marry Jasmine Jafar was simply misunderstood he just wanted to save his home from an at ruler instead of fulfilling his noble dream to save the city though he was thwarted by a confessed thief and con man poor Jafar which one of these dark theories completely changes how you see Disney movies are there others that we
