if you're looking to start a new big building project but you're not sure where to begin then you have come to the right place these build ideas aren't something you can whip up in a matter of minutes they are intentionally timec consuming sometimes we just want a big project to work on over the course of a few days weeks or even months it depends on how far you want to take it I suppose all of these builds are ones that I've thoroughly enjoyed the process of and will most certainly keep you busy first up is a full-blown roller coaster ride on a minecart this was once just a random Mushroom Island I found in the middle of the ocean and turned it into a multi- biome theme park except this theme park just has the one ride I sectioned off multiple parts of the island and transformed each piece to look like a specific biome and chucked in some decorations too not before leading a mineart rail all the way around full of twists and turns ups and downs even some slow parts to take take a look at the surroundings now it's not to say you need to build all of this custom terrain when you make a roller coaster you can literally just build the coaster itself through the regular Minecraft world and have it be more of a train ride or even build a track going around your own base so you can take a tour of everything you've built which nicely leads me on to my second idea of constructing a mega base this one might be a given but I do think it's worth a mention having a project to chip away at that's also the centerpiece of your world and where you live can be really cool to see the progression I wouldn't say this one build is exactly my mega base as everything I built over these mountains is a part of it and have their uses but it is the biggest and has all of my important stuff like my storage my bed and my dog as I said a lot of these buildings in my base have a function for example this is my iron farm or at least the covering for it the main Farm is underground same with my wool Farm super smelter villager breeder and so on I just love building something useful and covering it up with something that looks nice so that's essentially the next idea of course you can pick a bigger Farm to build on the surface and give yourself the challenge of covering that up like my mob farm here that I plunked a giant desert pyramid on top of this is my biggest single build project that I've ever done I have other more timec consuming projects coming later but this Temple is the most time I put into just one building and it was so worth it I love this thing it could also be counted as a bit of a transformation of the regular pyramid that generates in the desert although it doesn't look awfully similar that was the original idea I also did the same with this ocean Monument that I raised up from the water and Built My guardian Farm underneath of basically you take the normal Minecraft Structure whichever one you'd like to build upon and you just make it bigger and better I really enjoyed doing this because the idea of what to build is already there you just have to improve upon it and besides who doesn't love a good before and after transformation just beside my ocean Monument on the nearest piece of land I have this giant build which is actually my world spawn I feel like where you first join your world is quite an important part of it and is often forgotten so why not build something cool there then if you happen to leave the end or die without having your spawn set elsewhere in a bed you come back to this or whatever it may be for your own world all I did was construct a massive Tower almost a beacon of sorts and then spread Moss everywhere to give the whole area an ancient sort of feel this next idea is something I would really like to try again just at a much bigger scale very simply it's just a bridge that's it this is my big old wooden bridge that connects two parts of my Mountain Base that aren't all that easy to walk between given the natural terrain until I built a bridge there of course this is probably one of the smaller ideas of the video despite the size of it I know but it doesn't have a set limit like I said I want to try something bigger and you can too maybe even incorporate one of the other ideas like the roller coaster Minecart Track and have it be how you get from one place to another in your world something like this is really great for adding immersion because realistically people don't just zoom around on elytras all of the time here's another one of my bridges this one is a little bit smaller but it does lead to my next big project which is a villager trading Hall emphasis on the hall part you could set up some villager trades in a makeshift hole in the ground and it would work just as well where efficiency is concerned or you could build a literal Hall around the villagers that you trade with of course it would take a bit more time but that's kind of the idea here and it would certainly look much better as well as is making the trading process much more fun there's something about planting a big field of wheat that I think just looks really nice I can't quite explain it this is my wheat field alongside A peculiar looking windmill although this is a lot of crops way more than I'd ever want to harvest by hand it obviously can be way bigger I'd love to create a giant farming area with multiple fields of different crops a few farmhouses dotted around cows grazing on grass track is working away essentially creating a beautiful countryside landscape one day I may tackle that build and when I do you can know that you were one of the first to hear about it but for now feel free to take my idea into your own world you know what would make that even better building a castle off in the distance overlooking all of the farmers Fields like something out of a fairy tale I can't say that I've ever made a giant castle before in Minecraft but I have created a few fairly large ones before and they are always really fun I know a castle is a bit of a basic Minecraft build a bit overdone perhaps but there's got to be a reason why so many people make castles in this game so why not find out and give it a go for yourself perhaps you're looking for a new project that isn't only about building maybe you want a bit of Adventure sprinkled in there too how about obtaining Collectibles and building somewhere to keep them this could be a museum of sorts to showcase whatever it is that you found for example this is my armat trim building I went on a long expedition to find all of the armat trims when 1.20 came out and eventually I got them all and wanted to display them with pride so I set this up and placed a whole bunch of Arma stands inside with all of the different patterns that you can get something like this is a nice visual way to show off valuables rather than just shoving them away in a chest here's a similar idea with a bit more emphasis back towards the building essentially it's taking something that already exists in the game and building around or upon it that's pretty vague I know so let me just give you an example of something similar I've done I was obviously smitten with exploring 1.20 when it released because not only did I go searching for all of the armor trims but I also went to find a trail ruin they are not so easy to locate by the way but when I did my plan was to preserve it I fully excavated the area by breaking all of the natural blocks like Stone and dirt just leaving behind the structure itself quarried the rest away revealing it out into the open and just had it on display like that so you could easily walk around and take it all in almost as though this was an ancient Landmark that you could take a tour of I could have also gone in the other direction and restored it back to its former glory trying to Envision what it would have looked like but I'll leave that one for you guys one of my favorite things to build in Minecraft is something for Animals I've made my dogs their own house my sniffer its own Island and more recently my horses their own ranch I was trying to get the fastest horse in Minecraft and this is how many it took to get it I love building something totally over the top for a pets in this game even though they are simply just pixels on a screen and can never understand the effort that I put into a build I still like to give them a good home anyway it's a fun process putting together something like this and having a quot unquote living animal move into it you could even do it for multiple animals and make a zoo of some kind so you got a glimpse of my sniffer Own Private Island well that's kind of the next project idea it doesn't have to be for a sniffer but why not build your own custom Island from scratch that's what I did here for this volcanic island beside my pirate Village and when I say from scratch I mean it I built this up from the surface of the ocean thankfully it was a fairly shallow region can say and recommend doing this in deep water though better yet build it on top of an island that already exists much easier that way you can make literally whatever you want on here your new base a roller coaster like from earlier a sniffers Paradise or just a nice bit of custom terraforming to improve the look of it we're heading to the nether now for this one and it's something that a lot of you may already have set up in your own world a NE Hub somewhere that connects all of your frequently visited places in the over World via Nether Portals there's no real reason to make a project like this be anything special as long as it's clear where you need to go that's all you really need but at the end of the day there's no harm in making something look a little bit nicer mine is on the top of the ceiling because it's much easier to get around and I have this Greek inspired Temple as my well my Hub then lots of pathway shooting off to all of my different locations I've even got soul soil under all of the carpet for super speed even though I just fly anyway I definitely recommend making a cool nether Hub especially if you're on a server as overall that will probably be the place that's most visited by everybody so it should be good the penultimate idea takes us back to the Overworld and into a secret hiding spot that only you know the location of to a hidden Place filled with all of your riches or your base or just a cool surveillance room/ doomsday bunker that includes a bunch of fun details that's what I did for this one anyway I think it's a really neat idea taking something that looks completely normal from the surface but secretly is a giant building project totally hidden away you can build whatever you want down here and again you may be more inclined if you're on a server with other people but there's no reason why you can't still make a secret base in your own world on your own I did and it was really fun to work on so at last we have arrived at the final big build project idea and this one is probably the biggest or at least it can be why not start building your very own custom village town or city I have spent a large portion of my time playing Minecraft building these sorts of villages all varying from one another in style remember earlier I said that I have other more timec consuming projects that I've worked on well here they are obviously not every village takes the same amount of time to complete some are only very small but others are much bigger this for example is Fisher's nest and it's a village I spent the longest on chipping away over the course of several months I adore this place like I do with all of my Village projects if you are looking for something to keep you busy without getting bored of it I'd say this is pretty much perfect it's not as though you're just working on one single build that seems to be taking forever to complete it's a bunch of smaller builds all made up to create a big build so I find it's harder to burn out on a project like this because if you start getting fed up with let's say making houses you can go work on a park instead or the town hall or anything you'd like plus when you finish a custom Village project it is so satisfying to walk around in and see all of the hard work you've put into it it's a feeling that I strongly recommend I have got another video on my channel focusing on how to build custom Villages so feel free to check it out here on the end screen if you'd like but that's going to do it for this video Everybody if you've got any other ideas you'd like to share please drop them in the comments below for everyone to read but thank you very much for watching I hope you enjoyed and I will see you in the next video bye for now
