blossomed in front of our eyes and i think you're going to be happy with the results here thank you so much that's happening sofia i thought it was breathtaking it was surprising he looked so delicate and tiny up there and then suddenly he's like you were possessed i can't wait to hear you sing again there's a very interesting thing happening in the music business at the moment where people your age it's kind of like your time years ago singers your age used to have songs chosen by older people which just didn't work but you've got great taste and you're very cool and picking up on what heidi said when we hear something more stripped down we're gonna hear that tone but this was an incredible first audition amazing you've got a real real shot here and as how he said i think this is going to really did dude i think he was having like a midnight guitar but i've just been you know singing ever since i was like two amazing well why did you come on agt i've been watching the show for so long and i wanted to come here so that i could share my music with the world and uh i just i'm so excited well we're excited too are you ready yeah yeah okay let's do it you feeling nervous aren't you terrifying and i could see how scared you or nervous you were yet you pulled it together something about you and for some reason you remind me at the very first time i auditioned harry styles which no one ever really knows i'm lying sitting in the classrooms worse than crying try to hide it my face is burning up teacher says don't test today i act excited that's what everyone else is doing i gotta get through it hold my pencil in my hands so tight i think i'll get some bruises out that clueless i'm back clueless they always say not to talk down on myself but that's what everyone else is doing how do these people that don't know me hurt me so bad i might just be too sensitive why am i always so sad but all day i had my sadness way deep down inside my heart and if i show it to anybody they would rip it all apart no we're not paranoid just grown to be aware if they act all nice at first and even save you up a chair what do they want this is a trick this is a trap i can't go on hide in the bathroom till they're gone away someone would actually want me i was torn down in the seventh grade all the things people used to say it's stuck in my mind now it'll come for me my heart used to be until the seventh grade it's getting hard to even say anything get stuck in my mind now it'll come for me and now i know to feel well it's okay i've heard the words won't take them to my grave i very very emotional song you were telling something from the part and i could feel how much this means to you and i think you have this delivery which is really cool i like you a lot thank you but really small town in arizona called florence there's like five prisons there and yeah and basically there's not even a grocery store there's a fast food place in a high school and that's it so what happens if you want to buy milk we'd have to go like 30 minutes away okay so there's a lot of prisons there yeah okay so tell me what else my dad works at the prison and we just got much choice okay yeah now tell me why you decided to enter america's got talent this year um it's just always been my dream ever since i was little and my sorry you take your time my family about a year ago my dad was diagnosed sorry with stage four colon cancer and they gave him a five percent chance to live and he still continued working and uh supporting our family and so tonight i'm here to sing for him [Music] i'm 15 years old from logan utah all right i'm guessing by that guitar you're a musician yes how did you get into how did you get into music what what inspired you to to pick up a guitar um so my dad used to play the guitar for me uh just one song that he knew and um i started singing when i was really little my parents heard me singing in the car along to the radio but i was on tune and i was kind of singing in baby jabber because i didn't know how to talk yet oh my gosh so you were really little yeah what inspired you to come here and share your talent with america's got talent so my family has an eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa or rp for short where you lose um vision until you are fully blind and so i'm the only one in my family right now who doesn't have it um my little sister told me that she wanted to see me on the biggest stage in the world before it's too late and her vision's gone so um i've worked really hard to get here and it's been crazy how's your sister she's nine wow and where is she today she's right there oh wow okay well we can't wait to hear you sing thank you just out of interest are you going to sing an original song or a cover i'm singing an original and what's it called um one-way ticket to tennessee can you tell me what it's about it's about all the support my parents have given me for chasing my dreams to be a country singer okay so
