120 Acres of Hay Cut in 1 Day!

foreign [Music] [Music] hey guys welcome back to the farm beautiful 80 degree day we've got a bunch of hay down I'll give you a better run down once we get to the field American flag flying I put up a massive privacy fence around the outskirts of my house because this is a corner and the cars stop and it gets Extremely Loud and my two-year-old Grant man he's in there throwing a fit because he's just not old enough to ride on this tractor with me yet I came home to get a lunch in East throwing a he's throwing a bit of a fit so there's a privacy fence there's the flag it's going to be a good day I'll head to the field to give you a better run down let's go foreign okay so we hit the field what we've got is it's been nice all week and we are still experiencing somewhat of drought conditions I think this whole country is so we've had 120 Acres left of hay to take off beyond what we chopped this feels almost 80 acres alone so the boys with those two new disc binds they hit the field I'm going to show you that in a bit I got over here with my drone when they were finishing up even had a deer in here I was trying to chase out with a drone so they knocked down 120 acres in one day uh I knocked out and raked and Mark Bales 60 Acres of it yesterday this accun speed rake we bought we bought this brand new we saved 1500 it came on a pallet because we assembled it ourselves and this was an old 1977 44-30 so over 11 000 hours I've been racking them up on it blower tractor had new tires still great condition but they're getting down so we're gonna rake this up and then he bailed The Far Side lots of Bales 200 bales yesterday those are those five six by five bales of that new Baler once we leave here we're gonna head over to a subdivision we bought in 2010 2012 Range that was one that was a road was put in cul-de-sac it's 20 acres we put it to Hay because it's all pitched for drainage that's eight Lots three on each side and two big two two bigger Lots in the back well I'll show you that when we get there let's get started it's going to be a long day hot day it's gonna be a good day let's go foreign [Music] foreign [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] I'll get off here and I'll check these windrows right quick so that I can give Mark a call and let him know if he can get over here and start balance these things were thick and massive what we did so we made sure we get the headlamps because if you Bunch up a big windrow like this on a headland when you're turning you'll pull it all over yeah this is a little bit grassy over here now there's just a little bit of green in there he'll be able to start baling probably I'll I'll text him I'll text him while I'm raking don't text and rake but do it one time yeah he's going to be able to come right in here and bail this we'll give him a text [Music] yeah yeah three day we got going right now and there's 15 out there out there windy but you can feel it not gonna take long perfect hand drying day [Music] this end's got more Alfalfa in it this feels raking up beautifully yeah there's your Alfalfa but she's feel that wind you can't feel it but I'm telling you it's blowing yeah I mean look at that windrow that's some beautiful Alfalfa mixed yeah see this is but that's gonna dry very soon feel that I can't hear it probably but yep he's gonna be able to go to town here shortly go back foreign foreign [Music] just like that we're out of here the head of the subdivision so here we are back in the cul-de-sac we've got blueprints on that there's three houses three houses and there's two big ones in the back here and once we started farming this we weren't gonna we weren't gonna develop this we just we didn't want anybody else to so we we put it in a hay because you can see how it pitchers down we've got Blueprints and and something on this road too this was 90 grand to put this road in thick thick thick Stone gravel all the way off uh off that road up there Church Road so but we don't know what we're just gonna keep hanging on to it and keep farming it and man them clouds are popping now we just actually had a rain shower trying to move South of us thank the Lord at State South we're gonna rake this up this is Getting Thinner but yeah and then a buddy of ours ended up owning by that oak tree uh he actually just died Eddie God Rest his soul we took that fence throw out and we gained almost 10 acres so this is now almost a 30 acre patch of hay and uh yeah yeah we used to come back here few years back and hang out at night and nobody bother you would be a nice spot for a house look at this that Woods the woods isn't ours that's pretty much the property line but let's get to ranking [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] back to the ranch [Music] [Music] back at the farm cows are locked in to get milked I gotta scrape the bunks and feed them then I gotta head home remember I said my daughter turned eight years old we're gonna throw our little party tonight I'll show you the cake and the pizza hey girls how we doing got this 8760 dead little buddy has borrow it and now it's back that turned out to be a heck of a track you can smell the rubber she's knee-high in rubber thank you [Music] okay feeders running [Music] thank you [Music] we'll have to do what I've got in here see how slickity clean that is you do that because you don't want them standing in a bunch of mushy crap see the wind kind of carries that over a lot of times I'll just I'll run it on this side and it'll just blow yeah she's getting cleaned right up yeah you don't want him standing at a bunch of crap nobody wants a sanding crap that'd be like us standing in laying around in soiled laundry yeah this looks pretty good coming across we'll go and pull a couple of these out while we're feeding hey Catherine they got you locked in here chicky you're good girl that one's for me that one's for the kids oh cheese guys here with Grant man I'll give you a better look at this fence fenced in yard and I put an extra panel here long way so we're on the patio area no one from this road can see us we got my sister over celebrating Chloe's birthday but yeah then you didn't really lose much you can park here a lot of guys are saying family members saying that it looks like I got a prison here and I said yeah you're right it is a prison and I'm the warden so here's the outside of it kind of laid right in there straight as an arrow I put a big old pudding Stone big boulder on the outside before they put the fence up come on bud that's another reason why I put this up I want to be able to crail the kids you know crazy traffic and I got little babies tuck them in here and it'll be nice and safe side of my house now I planted these Pines but they just didn't grow quick enough and it also helps you hear these cars right now kind of loud can't see them but it actually does help with the sound of of uh come on boy it does help with the sound especially when you're in the house it's not as loud I want to show you the back side of this fence just how straight he laid it in here these are four ten foot poles you put them four foot in the ground I raked out all the all the drill holes because he set them in pea Stone but yeah he kind of wants a little lamb back here more in the front it's a lot straighter but I'm pretty happy with it the back side I just got a mole not terribly but look how straight he made the that's a long you know long long stretch but it's nice smells like wood right now you got to go pee is that what you're doing hey you're a good boy all right guys that's it for the video we got all that hay off Mark that we bailing probably still for a couple more hours that was 60 Acres today and it's going to take him some time so hopefully we got another 200 bales a day and he'll be good on that mostly that's going to be for our uh young stock young heifers that's uh it'll be dry round bales for the heifer
