share our favorite tips and tricks for styling our clothes and incorporating different pieces in order to make your maybe not so expensive clothes or cheap clothes look a lot more high-end so stay tuned because we've got some great ones that you don't want to miss if you guys have been watching us for a while you know that we love to mix high and low so we do a lot of budget friendly shopping and one of the ways that we like to make these very budget-friendly pieces look more expensive is by pairing them with an investment piece so we like to do that with handbags and sometimes with belts and this is a tip that we give to everyone if you can only invest in one thing would definitely suggest considering investing in a luxury bag you can pair just about any outfit any simple budget friendly outfit with a luxury bag and it will automatically elevate your look to make it look more expensive however if a luxury bag is not something in your budget we also have some great dupes we actually have prepared a dupes video that will be coming out soon with lots of great handbag and belt dupes for you guys this is another way that you can get that more expensive high-end look on a budget so make sure you check that one out we'll also link a favorite in the description box below for you but yeah just pairing a simple outfit with a designer logo belt or maybe a designer bag will really make people believe that your entire outfit is much more expensive than it actually is okay so our next tip is using a structured bag versus a slouchy bag now don't get us wrong kelly and i we absolutely love our slouchy bags however if you want to elevate your look if you want your outfit to look more expensive then really going for a structure bag will give you that elegance and that expensive look over using a slouchy bag just because it's not going to be as casual and also don't forget to also overlook making sure that you are taking care of your bags obviously if you have a bag that's five thousand dollars versus fifty dollars you're probably gonna be putting it down it might get dirt on it so making sure that you're keeping your structure bags nice and clean and that there's no scuff marks on them will help to really elevate your look so our next tip has to do with hardware hardware on your belt your bags your shoes christina and i love to mix metals when it comes to jewelry we love a watch that is a two-tone watch i'm wearing a necklace today actually that has a bit of silver and gold however when you are putting together a more expensive look you want to consider the hardware on things like your belt your shoes your bag and make sure that they are matching each other that they all kind of meld together so if i am wearing a belt that has a gold buckle i will definitely choose a bag that has you know a gold chain strap or a shoe that has a gold buckle and kind of make everything go together that definitely gives a more expensive look and then i can still pair that with my two-tone necklace or my two-tone watch because there's gold in those elements that are pulling everything together but having those elements of matching hardware really does help to make your look look more expensive so the next tip is instead of choosing really fake bold statement pieces and bling instead choosing very simple delicate jewelry pieces and if you think about it really makes sense you know jewelry that's real is extremely expensive and so you're going to find very delicate pieces delicate necklaces and earrings and when you're going for those statement pieces the bolder earrings the boulder jewelry it's just a dead giveaway that it's not real that it's not authentic and so it really will cheapen the outfit that you're wearing so it's it's those minor details of just instead of choosing a watch that has a big bold face on it instead choosing one that's a little bit more delicate and simple same thing with the necklace and the earrings and also making sure that you're not wearing more than probably two jewelry pieces at a time and keeping them apart you don't want to wear a necklace and earrings together because they're so close together probably choosing to either wear either just a watch or a bracelet and maybe some earrings or a necklace so keep it simple ladies so keeping in line with keeping things simple and not having too much bling the other tip that we have for you is not to overdo it with logos so sometimes people will find the belt from the same brand the bag from the same brand the shoes from the same brand and they go a little bit logo crazy and that is usually a way to cheap in an outfit it's just over doing things and it really doesn't look expensive it looks a bit tacky so what we would suggest is keeping it down to one logo if any and keeping the outfit very simple and classic so if you do invest in some type of statement bag that might be your one logo piece however everything else will be very simple very understated and there really is a theme here where classic expensive looking clothing is just very simple very minimalist and that's not to say that we're against some of these other fun ideas and trendy looks however for this type of look when you want to look more expensive just keep it simple and keep your logos down to one so the next tip that we have is also not wearing distressing so you know we love wearing distressed uh denim jackets or even jeans however if you are trying to make your clothes look more expensive really avoid those distressings is key you want to make sure that they don't have any sort of holes in them even the hemlines on your jeans make sure that it's not a raw hemline or anything like that you want to try to probably also go for maybe a darker wash jean it will just help to elevate the outfit when you think about expensive think about streamline looks think about simple looks think about classic looks anything that has too much attention grabbing elements to it like distressing are things that will de-elevate your your outfit and really what you want to do is look luxurious so this next tip is one that i think is very important and that is if you want to look classy and expensive then you don't want to show too much skin so if you think about very elegant very classy very expensive looking outfits they are not those outfits that are going to be very skimpy and tight and exposing skin in all different places you really want to keep that look very simple and very sophisticated that's going to give you a much more expensive look if that is what you're going for so think about only showing skin in a little sliver of pieces so maybe it's a you know plunging v-neckline but you're very covered up everywhere else if you're wearing a dress that's maybe a little bit shorter it's probably going to look best with some longer sleeves and more covered up on top so just exposing a little element of skin a little bit of sex appeal and not too much is going to make you look classy sophisticated and overall just more expensive so one of my favorite tips and one that i use so much when i am trying to look expensive or elevate my outfit is to add either a coat or a blazer so it's such a simple trick and i love adding either a black blazer or black coat my other favorite color that i think just makes an outfit look super expensive is the camel color i think it's so pretty and elegant looking especially if you're wearing it with some lighter color elements maybe a white cami underneath with some white jeans so adding a structured coat or a blazer is going to just continue this theme that we are talking about about giving you a structured streamlined effortless look when you are going for this expensive look you want something that looks classic you're looking for throwback pieces that are absolutely timeless and there's nothing more timeless than a beautiful structured coat or blazer ladies so this next tip is all about shoes and of course if you've been watching us you know we love a variety of shoes so please keep in mind when you're watching these tips we are not saying that the other things are bad we're saying that if you're specifically looking to dress in a more expensive way maybe for a particular occasion then these are the tips you're going to want to use so this one is about your shoes so when you want to have an expensive look to your wardrobe the neutral shoes such as black and nudes are really what are going to give you the most expensive look and one that's very elevated and very on trend right now is the two-toned black combined with the nude so we have shown you some shoes like this we love this two-tone look it gives a very very high-end designer look but we have some great ones that are not designer prices that we will share with you so if you want to get that expensive look this is a great way to do it okay so this next tip has to do when you are shopping and you are looking for items make sure that you are paying attention to whether there are zippers that are exposed this could be in the back of a dress this could also be with the back of a skirt those exposed zippers are a dead giveaway that you have gotten this piece probably at a really good price a lot of high-end dresses and skirts and items that use zippers they're really going to hide all of those inside detail elements and when you look at the pictures comparing them side by side you can very quickly tell like oh yeah that's true the skirt definitely does not look as expensive as this other one and really the only difference is is that one exposes the zipper while the other one keeps it hidden so keep that detail in line the next time that you are out shopping no exposed zippers so our next tip for how to keep your clothes looking more expensive is to invest in neutral classic pieces and by invest we mean just those are the pieces that are really going to look more expensive even when they're not so perfect example is the blouse that i happen to be wearing today this is not an expensive blouse it is from express i actually got it on sale so it's not an expensive piece however it's very hard to tell the difference between this silky style button-down blouse and one that cost hundreds of dollars because it's just a very basic classic look and when you buy things that are classic neutral pieces solid colors it's a lot harder to tell that they are budget friendly pieces versus designer pieces however when you are buying things that have a lot of different patterns on them a lot of things going on crazy buttons or details it's a lot easier to kind of have that giveaway that they are very trendy and probably not very expensive pieces so if you're looking for something that's going to last for a long time um really be on trend for a while and classic then go for those very simple classic looks like a button-down blouse or a silk blouse like a sweater crew neck or v-neck those type of things will just really last in your wardrobe and it won't give away that they are super budget friendly okay so the next tip that we have is also making sure that you are paying attention to the fit of your clothes so expensive clothing usually is super tailored it has a wonderful fit it will really kind of just skim your body what you don't want to do is wear something that's overly baggy that can definitely give you a little bit of a sloppier look not as put together however you also don't want to go with something that is overly skin tight because that can make you look a little too sexy which is also what we're not going for in this video really making sure that you have tailored pieces that fit you well that look good for you also the other thing you want to pay attention to is the fabric things that are too clingy really just kind of staying away from them and going for those pieces that have just a better fit to you and are just like i said streamlining the body they're not clinging to you yet they're not so overly baggy and loose on you that you are losing your shape too so that is it we have shared all of our favorite tips on how to make your clothes look more expensive we hope you enjoyed definitely leave a comment down below and share any of your tips that you have for things that you like to do to make your clothes more expensive and we will see you guys next time bye
