11 Luxury Base Locations For Project Zomboid

one of the coolest things about the zombie apocalypse is the freedom to borrow anything you want that's why today I'm going through a list of the richest and most luxurious buildings you can take over as your new base now let's work backwards starting with number 11 bright flag in Rosewood have you ever wanted to live in a bar well now you can it's the zombie apocalypse you can do anything you want but this isn't just any bar it's the nicest bar on the map it has two stories a hybrid kitchen and storage area five rooms for sleeping and of course booze a lot of it now you can finally get a good night's rest or burn the place down it's up to you if you want to set up long term you also have options there's a car park right outside and a large open area for farming around the back plus it's close to pretty much everything so loot runs should be a breeze number 10 Knob Creek Hunting Lodge okay the name makes it sound a little weird more so if you're British but it's actually a really nice cabin inside there's a well-decorated lounge area with bookshelves plenty of storage lockers for all your stuff and a bunch of fridges to keep your food fresh the creek is also short drive away and just surrounded by trees so you're pretty much set for winter the only thing that's lacking is a really nice sleeping area but you can easily steal a bed from the motel down the street try it out and don't worry about the name everybody is a zombie so there's no one left to judge you moving on to number nine Lakeside mini Mansions Louisville if you want to live that country lifestyle but in the middle of a massive City this is the place for you now here's the good news you have 19 houses to choose from they're all pretty similar in layout all two stories with a large fence but each house has some unique features you can get one with a bonus Workshop or a private Pier my personal favorite is this one I love the triple garage oh and the fences are all different as well some are much better than others the houses are all reasonably sized and well decorated inside plus they all come with private Lake access which is a huge bonus number eight military Camp Lounge Bali station living here will raise your life expectancy by a lot the Camp's main building has everything you need to survive long term which is a good thing because it's in the middle of nowhere it comes with a fully equipped industrial kitchen two if you count the second building a built-in fireplace for the winter pre-stock medical office easy Lake access and unlimited wood to burn what else could you ask for I feel like this area would be ideal for the build 42 livestock expansion oh and there's also a soccer field and Tennis Court outside you probably won't have anybody to play with but you can enjoy the view from one of your balconies number 7. Riverside Suites hotel this is one of the nicest hotels on the map in one of the nicest towns if it's the hotel life you're after moving here it's awesome the hotel has two stories 22 rooms and a pool in the center it's also right next to the lake for easy fishing at a bunch of commercial buildings for looting there's also some spacious rooms to choose from but if it were me I would sledge hammer down some walls and create much bigger spaces the only downside here is that it's missing some survival Essentials so you'll need to scavenge if you're looking to live here long term otherwise though really nice place with plenty of parking and great rooftop Garden potential moving on to number six LSU Library do you have a thirst for knowledge well you're in luck because I found this place I never thought a library would make it on this list but this building is awesome and the interior is really well done on the first floor are some luxurious lounges and endless shelves of books upstairs is a whole section with study rooms that is completely made of glass if you manage to keep it intact or rebuild it with a mod it makes for an amazing base for the view there isn't much survival gear inside but you're in the center of Louisville so finding supplies won't be a problem moving on to number five riparian entertainment Riverside remember how I said that the other bar was the best bar on the map that's not exactly true that was the best in the best looking bar is inside this restaurant in Riverside if you're looking for a big base with a great view in an awesome location this place is perfect it's just down the street from the hotel in the center of Riverside Ride On The Water it even has this huge balcony so you can look out and enjoy the view one of the best things about about living in a restaurant is that it comes fully equipped with an industrial kitchen so you may just become the next apocalypse Master Chef I mean it's pretty much guaranteed since all the other chefs are zombies but hey let's take the win moving on to number four Mansion Lane Louisville welcome to the richest community in Louisville where it's completely normal to have multiple pianos and two pools in your front yard there's actually a few of these Mansion blocks but this one is the largest and wealthiest that I've found these houses are all very well decorated three plus story homes built around a community park there is however a lot of variation between size and design so look around before you settle down personally I like this one best some of the smaller homes can feel a little cramped because of the sheer amount of furniture stuffed into them so you may need to declutter a little depending on where you move still these are some of the most nicely decorated homes on the map if a mansion is not enough check out number three Riverside boat club do you want to live on the water then why not move into a boat club they have both water and luxury this normally exclusive and well designed Club has the potential to become an incredible base located next to Riverside's nicest residential zone right on the river inside you'll find some nice Lounge areas a fully stocked industrial Kitchen Two locker rooms full of storage a small Library some offices and a games room there's a lot of open space here so you'll need to bring in some furniture to give it a more cozy feel maybe steal some from the Louisville mansion houses they have plenty the club also has its own car park outdoor seating and some trees nearby for all your Lumber needs but wait before you pack your bags check out number two Louisville boat club our next Contender for the most luxurious base locations is the Louisville book club it's like the Riverside book club but better in every way this structure has a fully equipped bar industrial kitchen games rooms hangout rooms reading rooms and a wraparound balcony on the second floor it's also conveniently tucked away in the corner of Louisville with its own access to the pier now securing that area would actually be pretty easy with a simple wall here and here this would add a massive area to your base for farming crafting and maybe even Livestock in build 42. the only thing that's really lacking is the bedroom which can easily be fixed with some furniture hoarding and finally number one Riverside Country Club there's nothing that screams wealth like a country club membership and now you can have the whole place to yourself this building complex has everything you could possibly want in terms of facilities multiple rooms for sleeping several fully equipped industrial kitchens two bars a laundry a library and close to unlimited storage space if you move in here you'll also get your own private Lake in the back a car park for your sports car collection and a garden where you can easily grow crops nearby is a second complex with a pre-built barn and stables for all your animals in build 42 plus the whole area just looks nice I mean come on there's a fountain in the entrance I don't know about you but that's where I'm moving in a zombie apocalypse now at this point you're probably thinking with all this glass these spaces won't be look looking good for long and you'd be right for some reason the game won't let you repair or replace glass walls outside of debug mode the best solution I've found is more builds light it will let you build the game's most common Glass Walls provided you have the skill level and materials it doesn't have everything however so you might need to get creative with some metal fencing bonus luxury boat out of bounds there is an unreleased area just outside of the map's bounds where the developers are working on a new town one of the most interesting new buildings is this floating three-story ship inside is a restaurant with an industrial kitchen a bar gaming room and a nicely decorated Lounge on the top floor for the ship's Captain when released this will be a great luxury base option super easy to secure as there's only one way in or off the ship the area was first spotted in mid-2022 but there's no confirmation yet on when it will be added to the game you
