11 Allegedly TRUE Scary Deep Web Stories You've Never Heard *MATURE AUDIENCE ONLY*

hello everyone and welcome to the premiere  edition of the creepy fox collection   this is a brand new series to the channel where  we'll be revisiting some of the best scary stories   we've covered on the channel thus far each of  the stories we feature in this series will be   digitally remastered and re-recorded to give you  the viewer a better listening experience this is a   way for all the brand new subscribers who are just  joining us to experience brand new content while   still giving all of you who have been subscribed  updated versions of your favorite stories   with that we've got some scary deep web stories  which if you're new to the channel just know that   these subscribers shared stories are exclusive  to the creepy fox how cool is that anyways sit   back relax and let's revisit just some of the  deep web stories we've covered thus far enjoy   not your average live stream hello  there i hope you're doing well as for me   things have gotten better albeit i can be quite  paranoid at times you see for the past couple   of weeks i've been watching your scary stories  videos and i came across the topic of the deep web   honestly i had no idea it was such a big  thing i thought the creepy experience i had   with the deep web was just a me thing a wrong  place at the wrong time series of events that   has led me to having to get some help more  than anything i wanted to act as a reminder   most of the stories you hear about the deep web  well they are true at least in the dark web part   so if you're curious about checking it out  yourself i wouldn't really recommend it unless   you know what you're getting yourself into  now i really want you to feel like you were   there with me so i apologize if this story is  a bit long but i don't want to miss any details   this was back around the summer of 2016.  i want to say it was in july i believe   i had nothing to do on this cooler than average  evening and so i called up my friend who in this   story we're going to call robert hey man what are  you up to got anything planned nah dude i'm just   chilling and playing some video games wanna come  over we can order a pizza i figured it was better   than falling asleep to the sounds of crickets so i  get in my car and i make the 20-minute drive over   to his apartment little did i know this was going  to set a series of quite frankly scary events   so we do order a pizza and we play some  video games and after a while my friend   brings up the topic of the deep web hey wanna  watch some scary videos i know of some websites   you've probably never heard of we head over to  his computer which he had completely built himself   and he loads up a program i'd never heard of  before obviously i know now that it's called tor   but to me it was completely foreign so what  search engine is this i've never heard of it   why not just use firefox isn't that your favorite  i said oh no dude not for what we're looking   for my friend responded back well what do you  mean you've never heard about deep web browsing   no i don't even know what that is care to explain  i'll save you the details but he pretty much gave   me a three-minute spark notes covering what  the deep web was what he could find and even   the things you could order i got excited and i  couldn't wait to see what he wanted to show me   we both loved the scary movies so when he says  this was unlike the definition of scary that   i knew i was calling out his bluff first thing i  remember was him copying and pasting a link he had   in a word document it took us to a video sharing  website think of it like vimeo but really watered   down he showed me some videos kind of like the  ones you can find on live leak most of them were   jump scares with few scenes depicting some creepy  acts after 10 or so minutes we moved on to another   page that featured a live stream this live stream  featured a chat box and the option to donate money   while all you could see in the video feed was an  empty room with a chair and table in the middle   we watched as the people in the chat room which  consisted of about 20 people talk about what they   wanted to see be done it soon became apparent  however they wanted things done to a person   due to everything they were describing it's  too gruesome to explain on here but after a bit   i remember telling my friend hey dude this stuff  can't be real are they really talking about   ending someone it started to become apparent  while we were watching it was an actual stream of   a possible maniac wanting to do some very terrible  things it was actually starting to become a little   too much for robert and i but what really set the  scene was when finally somebody enters the frame   it's a man in a ski mask the person then  walked up to the camera that looks to the   left it's as if he was reading the chat room after  a minute it appeared as if he clicks on a button   because you can finally hear audio it was quite  faint but when my friend turned up the volume   you were able to hear the sounds of weeping the  man yelled at the person at a frame to be quiet   but this only causes the sobbing to get worse  i remember looking at my friend and i say   dude this isn't real please tell me this  is some sort of creepy college project   no man it's not even i didn't see this before last  time i was here it was just some guy in a mask   talking nonsense i could hear  the nervousness in his voice   it's now we should have just closed the program  and we should have saved ourselves from what we   were about to experience but we kept watching out  of curiosity as the chat room lit up with comments   after another couple of minutes the man spoke up  wow i see someone donated quite a lot of money   so face rearrangement it is fine if that's what  you want me to do then we'll do just that he   walks out of the frame and then we hear yelling  the man then begins bringing somebody into frame   but just before we can see or hear anything the  feed goes dark this angers everybody in the chat   room as they began wondering why they couldn't  see what was happening we too were curious as to   the fate of this person on the other end the whole  time we were contemplating and calling the police   but what could they have done to be  honest we sat there at a loss of words   and after five minutes of comments the feed lights  up it was the man in the mask and now in his hands   he's got the glasses of the man that he brought  onto screen also we can see some dark reddish   liquid dripping off the glasses and some of it  on the man's t-shirt now as for the screaming   it was gone i apologize to everyone it looks  like we had a camera malfunction on her end   i really wish you could have seen and heard the  screams but now it's no fun if he's silent i'll   get somebody else really soon and i'll show  you the mess afterwards that was enough for   robert and i before the creepy man could show us  what they had done my friend closes the browser   and we spent the next few minutes looking at each  other in absolute shock though we didn't actually   see what took place it didn't take a genius to  realize what the men on the other end had done   when the person in the chat room who sent the  money said they wanted to face rearrangement   we knew quite frankly what they meant after that  we both had nightmares for months and we decided   never again to explore the dark web nor to return  to see if he would actually show what he had done a mysterious delivery seeing as there's such a  fascination with the deep web i decided to check   it out one day in 2015. if you're wondering  how to get on it i'm not going to tell you   because i'd rather you avoid any problems  that come with being a curious cat   just so we get one thing straight i wasn't  really looking for anything that could get   me into any trouble i just wanted to see if  i could find some sort of secret documents   kind of like i was a spy or even a ninja in one  of those james bond movies i searched for about   30 minutes and i came across the typical websites  even the sites that claimed to have hitmen   and even though they looked legitimate i didn't  want to mess with them i did find one website   that was sort of like pay-per-view you could watch  videos by using an online currency or you could   complete surveys and unlock them for free i had  nothing else to do so i went ahead and clicked   on one of these naturally i didn't actually  put my information so i started making some   up unfortunately when submitting the information  it kept telling me such an address didn't exist   how funny because i didn't know surveys were  that picky this was when i decided to put the   address of my old home not really taking  into consideration how dangerous this was   for some context the family friend actually were  the ones who purchased the old house after we   sold it to them two years ago oh and as for the  survey it pretty much was like the kind you'd find   on the regular web at the end of the three minute  survey i finally was able to watch a video titled   house of screams sadly it was really dumb  and even though the screams were kinda creepy   that's all it was somebody was walking inside  an abandoned home and screams were being heard   i thought maybe something would have popped out or  the cameraman would have caught some creepy person   but i was left in disappointment fast forward  approximately one month i was talking to the   daughter who is a friend of mine the family  we sold the house to and were just catching up   soon the conversation of strange events  happening at that house was brought up   apparently they had been noticing a van drive down  their street very slowly it was unmarked with the   windows all darkened out also there was one night  herself her mom and dad were returning from dinner   as they got closer to the house they saw tall  figure leave a box at the front door that's before   taking off into that same van which was parked  close by well she goes on to say her family called   the police because they found the activity and the  box suspicious inside the box police found a bunch   of old photographs that looked to be taken from  the late 1800s there was also a teddy bear inside   the box what was inside the teddy bear a bunch  of used needles of course now what's really weird   was after that box was left they stopped  showing up i don't know what the purpose   of leaving the box was for and whether it had to  do with me putting the address on the deep web   something tells me they might be connected because  no other person in the neighborhood or even the   city said something like that happened to them  update my friend called me a couple of weeks ago   saying they found the guy they were caught  on their home camera which they installed   as a response to what happened previously as  it turned out he had a connection with leaving   mysterious packages at homes and he was even  using the deep web to get people's information hey there friends it's thecreepyfox here just  really quickly before we get on with the video i   just wanted to let you all know that in case you  didn't know i'm currently organizing a charity   for saint i'm not looking for any   sort of fame or even recognition by sharing  this whether or not you want to believe me   is solely up to you i'm simply here to  share an experience i had back in 2016   when i went on the deep web i remember it like  it was yesterday i was on a scary stories binge   listening to a bunch of different narrators  retelling people's experiences from the deep web   i reached a point where i couldn't contain my  curiosity so i decided to learn how to reach   the deep web i'll save you all the filler  so i don't make this submission too long   but i got on and immediately got to  researching a few links i'd found   first it was a website about buying different  products it listed a bunch of prices as well   as the sorts of services they offered i soon  grew bored and went to a video sharing website   the videos themselves were pretty low  quality in comparison they were about 144p   similar to what you can find on youtube the ones  that beat my interest were the ones titled join us   it consisted of a series of what i like to best  describe as promos that seek to recruit people   for strange cults i'd never heard of i actually  tried looking them up on the regular surface web   but i couldn't find any articles or posts i'd give  you the name but i don't want to risk the creepy   fox getting any sort of strange messages from them  i highly doubt it but you can never be too safe   anyways at the end of each video  was an email you can message them at   yes stupid me actually decided to give them  a message and ask if this was truly real or   just some sort of elaborate video series that  was made by a bunch of board college students   to my surprise i got an automated email almost  instantly advising me i would soon be connected   with a so-called recruiter i waited and about  15 minutes later i get a response they tell me   about the process of joining including the  information i would need to reply back with   in order to be part of their so-called society  now let's face it i wasn't really going to give   them my personal information so to mess with them  i made up some random information and sent that in   telling them to have a nice day i never received  a response back fast forward a few nights later   and i was having trouble sleeping i blamed it  on the date i had a few hours ago that saw me   drinking some pretty strong espresso alongside my  girlfriend well i want to say it was around two or   three in the morning and my cell phone started to  ring silly me had forgot to put it on silent and   not thinking of checking the caller id i answer  it in my typical grumpy voice only to be met   with heavy breathing hello who is this if you're  not going to say anything then don't call me again   i responded back they ended up hanging up  whatever i thought must have been a wrong number   five minutes later i am awoken from my struggling  slumber to another phone call now i'm starting to   get pretty angry i respond with some not so  kind words only to be met with music playing   i'm not talking about the greatest hits this music  was played backwards and it sounded really creepy   like a weird nursery rhyme song 10 seconds of this  playing i once again say hello only to be met with   a voice it sounded as if it was coming from one  of those voice filters and it was something along   the lines of that wasn't too kind of you to send  that false information we were really hoping you'd   take the offer to join our group would you still  like to join i freaked out i instantly hung up the   phone and i blocked the number and checked to make  sure my doors and windows were locked i'm not sure   why i did that it's not like the person who called  showed up to my house but i guess it was just   instinct safe to say i got no sleep that night and  instead i went over to my girlfriend's house where   i had to explain over the next 10 minutes why  i suddenly showed up to her house freaked out   she was just as scared as me but we tried to write  it off as some weird coincidence fast forward to   when i later returned to my house i saw there was  a missed call on my apartment house phone yes i   was still one of those who had a landline it's  because it came packaged with my phone and cable   already forgetting the creepy call from earlier  in the morning i play the message expecting to   hear some sort of telemarketer instead it's the  deep voice from earlier and they're asking why i   was playing so hard to get i lost it i went to  the police and had them ask my phone provider   if they could do some sort of reverse phone search  unfortunately however they weren't able to trace   the call here's the strange part almost as soon  as this began it stopped i no longer received   any further communication from the group nor did  i ever get an email back i still have the email   in case anybody is interested in seeing it i can  even send anybody a screenshot if you want proof   edit i have no clue how they got my number  although i have some theories i hadn't realized   it until recently but when you send emails using  an email it can display your name for some reason   i thought it only displayed email addresses  i guess that's how they looked me up i mean   it's not a far stretch especially considering how  easy it is for people to find out more about you he found my phone number how's that saying  about curiosity go how it can get you into   some very serious trouble well that's a  situation i found myself in back in 2015   now i'm not going to be boring and explain all  the crazy details i'm just going to jump right   into it one afternoon i was deep web browsing  it my goal this afternoon was to see if i could   order myself a mystery box and thus i clicked  around on some links after about 20 minutes   i found what i was looking for sadly they were  very overpriced and thus i ended up changing my   mind i soon looked around for some other websites  and i found one with more reasonable prices when i   go and click on the order button a random pop-up  appeared now try as i might it wasn't closing   so i feared my computer crashed after a couple of  minutes the computer unfreezes and the pop-up that   it appeared a minute before loads a simple page  with a chat box the chat box was empty well me   being the naive teenager i am i type in random  words and 10 seconds later there's a response   thank you for reaching customer service matthew  phillips how can we assist you this afternoon   now i know what you're wondering who is matthew  phillips that would be me i got the chills reading   that how in the world did this person on the other  end know my name and what did they want i typed in   very funny that's not my name but nice try though  they then responded by listing my home address   as well as my telephone number well didn't you  know we can get information from you whenever you   try to make an order after all you're looking to  order with us correct we just want to make sure we   do good business with you here's the thing i never  put any sort of information so how did they get it   one thing that didn't happen was them saying they  would come and take me away or give my information   out to complete strangers so i guess that was  one good thing but how could i believe them   nonetheless i was creeped out so much i  immediately closed the browser and i began   pondering how this person got my information then  i noticed i had enclosed my facebook in firefox   could it have been possible they somehow were  able to see my screen and then control it while   my computer was frozen i guess that would explain  it all still i tried not to take it too seriously   after all many months passed and i never received  any sort of confirmation anybody was after me then   one day somebody left a voicemail on my phone i  didn't recognize the number but i listened anyways   it went something like this hello there matthew  i'm calling to let you know we have discounts on   some of our newest mystery boxes you are more than  welcome to reach back in case you're interested   we hope to hear from you soon i couldn't believe  it it had been months since i was last on the   deep web and i had completely forgotten all about  the strange chat now let's get one thing straight   no friends knew i had tried to grab myself  one of those boxes so for this person to   go out of their way to check up on me and tell  me they had a discount it was creepy in itself   well when i did a phone search  it came out to be from a computer   it's now been over three years and i have  yet to receive another call from them again the delivery man from the dark web   this isn't as creepy as the other stories but  i felt it was still worth a mention here we go   i first heard about the deep web back in my junior  year of high school when some classmates of mine   were talking about it luckily our homeroom  teacher would let us bring our own laptops   so we could work on some powerpoint presentations  and writing projects well one day our homeroom   teacher had left to go to a meeting and we  were left pretty much to do whatever we wanted   it's here i worked on a powerpoint presentation  with my classmate christopher once we were done   he ended up showing me this thing called tor  i instantly remembered him mentioning it a few   days ago and i say isn't that the browser that  lets you go onto the deep web he responds with   yeah want to see what kinds of things we can  find he then proceeds to take us to various   websites on the dark web one of the websites  he took us to was sort of like a live leak   containing various gruesome videos another website  seemed to be like a live stream of this room we   sat there watching it for about five minutes what  all we could hear was screaming in the background   eventually somebody walked up to the camera  wearing a mask with red all over his t-shirt   he has what looks like a machete in the chat  that was next to the video player we could   see various people donating money sadly we don't  find out what happens because tor ends up crashing   the sounds coming from the laptop did however  attract the attention of the other classmates we   all gathered around as a restarted tour and this  time we searched for something that we could buy   eventually christopher takes us to a website  that lets you buy different sorts of substances   he claims that he has bought things from another  website and they would deliver to his house in   a normal looking package whoever delivered  that package always seems to deliver them   in the evening and his parents never questioned it  which surprised me i don't think they really cared   however seeing as he never had a bad experience  we give this website a try and order various   different items of course we each gave them some  money so that we could help them with the cost   it ended up being around 50 dollars fast forward a  week and i was over at christopher's house working   on her science project it was approximately  9 pm and his parents had already gone to bed   for whatever reason we had decided to go onto  the front porch to take a break from studying   ten minutes of talking outside about random things  we noticed this dark unmarked minivan slowly   approached christopher's house the minivan soon  comes to a stop and we began to stare over at it   a minute passes by and there was no movement  perhaps this person had the wrong address   and they were recalculating it on their gps  another few minutes go by and still nothing   just as we're about to head inside the passenger's  door opens and we watch a man in a hoodie step out   he has a bandana over his mouth i want to describe  him as in his late 30s with long greasy brown hair   wearing a jersey and blue jeans we got  so scared because we thought perhaps   they were about to rob the house however  we did notice he had a box in his hand   hello are you chris2740 yeah that's me are you  here to deliver the package i ordered yeah it's   right here for you hope you enjoy it we look  forward to your next order by the way chris2740   was the username christopher had used to make the  order what was creepy was when he turned around   in his back pocket you could see he was carrying  a handgun safe bet that if we tried any funny   business he wouldn't have been afraid to use  it luckily everything we had ordered was inside   the box yup a bunch of the grass if you know  what i mean regardless even though nothing did   happen to us we decided the whole thing was too  surreal it never went on the deep web ever again i started receiving strange phone calls to start  you off with some basic background i'm a normal   26 year old who lives by himself in an apartment  now you want to learn from me when i say if you're   thinking to yourself oh how bad could the deep web  be just know it's as bad as the story say they are   now i don't claim to be a deep web expert  actually the one reason i learned about it was   because i'd watched some documentaries i was never  actually intending on exploring what was available   but of course this wouldn't be a  scary deep web story now wouldn't it   well i watched somehow twos and eventually  i was able to load tor from here i started   off on some basic sites which it seemed to me  was what mainly consisted of most of this place   a lot of databases with different information  alongside forums for vast amounts of topics   there was even some sites that you had  to pay for in order to watch videos   sort of like an on-demand service so where was all  the scary stuff i was hearing about turned out i   was looking in all the wrong places so i ended  up messaging a friend of mine on playstation   who knew a bit more about the deep web he  recommended i visit the dark web instead   guess both of them were different well boy oh boy  did i find some very creepy stuff i remember the   first sight he sent me to was a shop that sold  dolls these weren't any normal dolls however   apparently they were said to contain the  life force of somebody who had passed on   not my wording with the website's  wording from what i remember   talk about creepy so i moved on to another  one my friend gave me this one was a video   site where you could watch really grainy videos  i watched one that was a slideshow of various   creepy images playing with some music that was  playing backward every few seconds there would   be a message finally at the end i determined it  to be some sort of online alternate reality game   interesting but not something i was really  wanting to see lastly i decided to visit a forum   that acted sort of like a market a place where  people posted links to various different websites   and sold their so-called products i went ahead and  clicked on one and what i saw on the other end was   a site i would never forget simply put there was  a picture of someone laying flat on the ground   standing behind them was somebody in the  background wearing a mask with red stains   all over his t-shirt and jeans underneath  the photo was a caption that said you're next   creepy and it took me a few seconds to realize  the person laying on the ground well to put it   quite simply as much as it scares me to say had  literally bit the dust well that was enough of   a scar for me i immediately closed the page and  that's not before my computer ended up crashing   great well sadly i was never able to get it to  work properly as any time i would try to start   the computer up i was given an error message so  pretty much the computer was worthless a bummer   but i was looking at upgrading since by that  point this computer was over 8 years old   but even with all those things i mentioned  i haven't even gotten to the worst part   fast forward a week and by this point i'd done my  best to put the scary things i'd seen behind me   i'd even told my friend who even thought the  whole computer crashing thing was a bit ominous   i was up watching some netflix on my playstation  when i hear a familiar sound it's the chiming   my phone makes whenever somebody is  calling here's the thing it's past 3 am   why would any family or friend be calling  at this hour regardless i ignore it thinking   perhaps some dumb telemarketer was trying to  sell me a magazine give it another two minutes   the phone rings again annoyed i paused the movie  i was watching it and i head on over as expected   it wasn't a family member nor a friend it was from  an unknown number annoyed i pick it up and i say   look buddy you've got some nerve calling this late  you need to knock it off and call back another   time what i hear on the other end was super creepy  at first there was nothing but heavy breathing   and then music but something was off about it  it sounded as if it was playing backward to make   things worse i recognized it i kid you not but it  sounded just like the creepy background music i   heard on one of those videos i watched on the deep  web i immediately ended the call but they called   me back a third time again i answered and the  person on the other end who spoke with some sort   of deep voice filter literally says my entire full  name i froze who was this person and how do they   know my name better yet how did they get my number  and how did they know to play the same music   these were questions they were going on a hundred  miles in my head as i tried to comprehend the   madness the call ended with the laugh before  finally the person on the other end says   i can't wait to speak with you again i'll tell you  i couldn't sleep that night so i stayed up looking   outside the window with my baseball bat not that  i think this person was really going to find me   right well next morning i messaged my friend from  playstation on his instagram but he tells me he   was nowhere near his home bear in mind we have  never given our phone numbers to each other but   sure enough i didn't want to believe his posts he  was in hawaii with his girlfriend and her family   so weird but one thing you should know  is he is the nicest dude i've ever met   he's not somebody that would play a prank like  this on me besides he didn't have my phone number   so who was the person that called i don't know but  it's weird because for the next few weeks i'd keep   getting calls from unknown numbers each time i  answered there was nothing but heavy breathing   and different creepy music playing  eventually i moved back home with my parents   and i changed my number entirely and the activity  seemed to have just stopped just like that i   don't know what else to tell you should i feel  better knowing i haven't heard anything in months   or should i maybe tell the police then again  would they believe me some serious answers would   be really appreciated i know this is a weird  way to look for help but i'm kind of lost here burning it all down the deep web what is there  to say about it well one thing is for sure   there are a lot of so-called experiences out there  that claim this or that though most of it is true   a lot of people like to embellish their  experiences to the point where you know   it's fiction what i'm going to be retelling you  about however is what i experience with a deep   web let me just give you a fair warning however if  any of you out there are thinking about using it   just don't yes there are some things  you can find that aren't that bad   but it's when you're on the dark web when things  really take a turn for the worse it's there you   can find things like hitmen substances weapons  pictures of well bodies the non-living of course   and much worse now for privacy reasons i won't  reveal my exact location but i will say i was   living in europe to start i shall take you back to  late 2015. it was summer vacation and i being the   board college student i was i'd spent most  of my time in my small town house i think   that's what you guys call it over in the states  anyways it's here i play video games eat snacks   and listen to narrators read stories after  listening to hours upon hours of scary stories   i became interested in a certain topic the  deep web i had heard about the name on reddit   but i never really looked more into it it's funny  i thought it was a website with some sort of forum   but how wrong i was after a few days of watching  videos and reading articles i decided to take a   dive into the deep web i got tor and i began my  adventure with some links i'd scene on reddit   they were pretty boring documents webmail  magazines and video on demand services   is what made up most of my afternoon search talk  about underwhelming the next day i did some more   searching and found some sites for weapons and  drugs finally some more interesting things i   thought however what really started everything was  when i was trying to access a forum on a website   it had really gruesome videos but there was  also a chat box in which you can talk to people   in total it showed roughly 25 26 people i remember  making a quick account with a random name and   started with a hello that was followed by me  typing man we are some really messed up people   if we're watching these sort of things aren't we  the chat went silent for approximately two minutes   as i was looking at some more videos  i noticed that somebody responded back   we don't much take kindly to strangers like  you another user typed out and said dumb kid   i already got his ip address i can't believe  he was that dumb to leave his webcam on   can't wait to go see him and bring him to one  of our special rooms the message freaked me out   i instantly closed the browser i then looked  at my webcam and indeed it was on i'd made   the dumb mistake of forgetting to close skype  see i was talking to my girlfriend an hour so   before i decided to go on the deep web anyways  i thought the comments were just a coincidence   i mean no way someone can actually find you from  just comments and having your webcam on right   well fast forward a week and i'd come back from  spending time in my girlfriend's house i was about   to enter my home when one of my neighbors who in  this story will call madeline ends up stopping me   and saying hey man where were you this past  week oh i was over at my girlfriend's house   why what's up there was some man that was looking  for you the other night it was close to midnight   it was really weird he looked like a burglar  or something he was tall and was wearing dirty   clothing almost looked homeless also he  wouldn't take his hands out of his pocket   i seriously thought the dude had a weapon on him  anyways i told him he needed to leave otherwise i   was calling police seems he got the hint however  since my two pit bulls were on the verge of   wanting to tackle him down well that was weird i  sure didn't know anybody with that sort of detail   also if somebody was looking for me they would  have my number right regardless i enter my house   and i notice there's a note at the door on  the ground seems somebody must have slipped   it in while i was away i go to open it thinking  it's just an advertisement for the local pizza   shop but instead i'm surprised with  the following message it simply states   found you at that moment i was confused found  who exactly me what was it supposed to be about   i wasn't sure but as i was pondering this there  is something that was annoying me a constant   beeping i snapped out of my thinking and  realized it's the answering machine for my phone   i walked over and i noticed there are two missed  phone calls now i live alone in this home so it's   not like anybody else was expecting a message  this was when i got to play the messages back   you have two missed calls first call july  15th 11 37 p.m there is nothing but silence   for about five seconds then there is this  heavy breathing followed by some mumbling   the call then ends second missed call  july 15 11 45 pm hey there i found you   i'm coming to get you i'm going to take you  out into the woods and i'm going to have   fun chopping you up into bit size pieces he's in  the middle of something else afterwards when i'm   able to hear somebody's voice in the background  it sounds just like madeleine's voice alongside   her pet bulls that are barking up a storm i  can vaguely hear her saying in the background   hey what are you doing out here this isn't your  home you need to leave or i'm calling the police   i finally put two and two together and i realized  something the guy that was outside my home was the   one who called they had to be the same but who was  he it couldn't have been the guy from the deep web   that was impossible let's just say i became  extremely paranoid and i had the police do   constant patrolling of my neighborhood nothing  happened for two months and i started to   think everything was just a coincidence at  this point i'd moved back with my parents   who lived two hours away from me hoping it was  the end of everything on top of this the old   computer i'd once used to go on the deep web  have been recycled and presumably destroyed   anyways i was on facebook one evening when i  received a message it simply said why did you   leave look what you made me do my townhouse  the one i was living in before was on fire   there was a picture of it with flames then the  aftermath of what was left it ended up showing   up in the news and an investigation came out of  it sadly however nobody was found responsible   even my old neighbors were questioned but they  were all cleared of any charges i did forward   the message to police and they looked more into it  however nothing came up it's been over three years   and i haven't heard anything else the account  associated with the pictures no longer exists   and i had to delete all my social media  soon after i got the messages i live   with constant anxiety anytime i see an  unmarked van with darkened out windows   but like i said nothing more has happened  ever since then part of me hopes that if it   was somebody from the deep web they've moved  on to somebody else as mean as that sounds the mystery box seller i'll start off by saying  this as a heads up i'm still not sure whether or   not browsing the deep web was responsible  this is going to be one of those stories   where i'm not going to be talking about what  i saw i'm sure you already know plenty of what   you can find on the dark web that's not what i'm  here to talk to you about this however is one of   those experiences you barely hear about the ones  with the aftermath of exploring it not so much   what you can find on there besides most of those  stories are on no sleep and we know about them   though they are entertaining they aren't real but  even with all that said i guess i can provide you   with some background context i'm female 19 years  old and it was around november 2017 i was looking   at various websites on the dark web i reached a  site where you can buy one of those mystery boxes   and almost went through with purchasing something   i however ended up opting out of the idea when  i realized how dumb that decision would be   however in my excitement i typed in my  information yes most websites have you use   some sort of online currency and i was ready  to use it but this one for whatever reason   let you use paypal this was truly what i believed  caused the series of events to take place next   i was at barnes noble a couple of weeks later that  was reading a book while sitting at the starbucks   i hadn't noticed it but a man with a trench  coat on sunglasses hospital mask and hat   took a seat directly across from me he looked  really suspicious but he was reading a newspaper   so i tried not to mind them too much eventually  i started to feel eyes on me and i looked away   from my book for one second this is where i can  see what looks like the guy taking pictures of   me on his phone what really creeped me out  was the expression he had though the mask   and sunglasses were covering most of his facial  expressions you could tell how emotionless he was   he then took his sunglasses off and continues to  stare over at me this goes on for another minute   until he simply gets up without saying a word and  leaves i was so paranoid and i ended up leaving   about a month later my friend sarah and i were on  my computer and i decided to use tor one more time   it's funny because i thought i deleted it but i  guess i didn't do it right we go and return to the   website where the mystery boxes were sold i signed  into the account i made and i noticed there was   a message in the inbox i go to open it and there  are four image files and a message now in order to   view the pictures you had to click on them so they  could load what i saw was one of the creepiest   things i'd ever seen there were two photos  of me at the starbucks from barnes and noble   one of the pictures was me reading the book  and the last one was when i had looked up   the last two pictures however were worse both  were taken from the night time in one of them   you can see a home with its front porch light on  i didn't think much of it until i zoomed in more   there was a small table with christmas decorations  on it they looked exactly like the same ones i had   sure enough i even went outside to confirm it the  last image looked to be taken outside my window   and in it you can see us opening  our christmas gifts on christmas eve   something clicked in my head at that  point i remember while opening the gifts   there being the sounds of footsteps outside  our house when my dad went to check it out we   saw an unmarked van pull out of our driveway and  right off into the night now as for the message   it said you still want your mystery box am i  right i went to visit you a couple of times just   to make sure it was you feel free to message  me and i can get you something really nice   i was petrified i messaged him back saying that  if he ever showed up in my life again i would   call the authorities as surprised as all of you  are all the activities seem to stop i haven't   seen any suspicious activity around my house now  i've since stopped using the deep web even so   something makes me think the pictures of me and  my home are somewhere out there i'd like to hope   not but i guess you never know as a precaution we  have installed a security system put bars on our   windows adopted two very sweet but protective  retired german shepherd police dogs and i even   have my concealed carry license that my uncle  helped me get he's a retired police officer by the   way i'll update you all in the future if anything  else comes up but for now that's pretty much it he found me in real life i've heard so many  stories from the deep web and honestly i can   say it's not exactly something you want to  be on sure it's neat to check out some of   the less scary things but sometimes  curiosity can get the better of you   i'll go ahead and describe something  i experienced about three years ago   at the time i was still in high school i recall  my friends talking about some really weird stuff   they had seen online i ended up wanting  to know what they had been talking about   and they mentioned something called the deep  web of course i wasn't sure what they meant   so they showed me some videos about it safe to  say it peaked my interest not for the terrible   things but just the overall mystery behind it  but how to go on it was a question that i kept   wanting the answer for there were various programs  you could get but was it really safe the next   couple of days i spent time doing some research  that's when i finally got the courage to get tor   now with my keys to the deep web kingdom who the  exploring began it was pretty mild at first just   documents and various other pointless information  then there were pages for things like weapons and   hitmen i didn't bother with any of those things  because it seemed pretty sketchy after about 30   minutes of exploring i stumbled onto a video  sharing website it was like youtube but most   of the videos were of low quality some of them  were just still creepy images with scary music and   others looked to be like homemade tapes i clicked  on a few videos and apart from a few jump scares   i decided i had enough however before leaving i  did notice there looked to be an online chat room   curious i went ahead and checked it out there were  a total of around 15 people and each were talking   about different videos they had seen since i saw  anyone could comment and make a random username   i went ahead and commented on some videos i'd  watched i kid you not the whole chat went silent   and i was left confused don't tell me they haven't  seen a normal comment just say hello i thought   after about 20 seconds of no responses someone  finally sends a message out hello to you back to   i see we have a new victim to play with i figured  whoever commented that was joking around so i went   ahead and played along big mistake ha ha yeah i  guess i am aren't i what are you gonna do about   it come to my house and take me away oh we're  gonna do that all right just you wait we know   you've been watching videos this past hour i was  confused by what this person meant as it turned   out there was a little counter on the bottom  of the page i hadn't really paid attention to   it'll show how many people are on the website at  any given time i'm guessing the number had stayed   the same before i went to the site oh and i guess  i forgot to mention something else of importance   i guess it's not exactly smart to have normal  pages and applications open when you're exploring   this part of the web i'll go ahead and tell you  why in a bit anyways i got genuinely creeped out   and i logged off immediately this however isn't  the end of my experience at least not yet fast   forward to the next day at school and i had told  my friends about what i had done they thought i   was lying but i told them they could come over  to my house to check it out for themselves   therefore that afternoon we went to my house  to go and log on yet again my parents were   confused as to why all my friends were over but  i told them we were working on a school project   so once we were successfully online i  showed them some of the places i looked up   they then typed in their own suggestions and we  found some pretty nasty things since i had all   my friends with me i now had the courage to  take them back to the website i had been on   going onto the site i noticed i missed a message i  guess making a username automatically makes you an   official member i ended up clicking on the little  notification symbol and it appears to be like the   same person who messaged back the other day the  message more or less says did you really think   signing off was going to hide you from me don't  tell me you thought i couldn't tell you were   being sarcastic also thanks for leaving your skype  open and your webcam on i can't wait to find you   if that wasn't creepy enough there appeared to be  an image i could download i was scared to open it   but my friend suggested i do it anyways against  any logic we went ahead and clicked on it no joke   there is a screenshot of the conversation i had  and you could even see my skype was open i have   no idea how he did it but somehow he had gotten a  picture my friends thought i was making this up to   scare them but one look at my face said otherwise  best course of action now was to completely remove   the program and do a hard resetting of the  entire computer that's what i ended up doing   and i thought all of my worries were behind me  however fast forward roughly six months later   and i started to notice strange activity i'm  not sure if it was a coincidence but one night   this minivan with its windows tinted out started  to follow me home it did give me the creeps   but by this point i had already forgotten  about what happened earlier in the year   over the next couple of nights i would  notice that same van parked across the street   it got so bad i ended up calling police explaining  my situation i never mentioned the deep web part   i just told them about the van since they hadn't  done anything wrong they told me there wasn't   really much they were able to do they did however  tell me they would keep a lookout for it even   so there was one final thing that happened our  family was getting ready to move away as my dad   had found a better job i myself was going to be  studying abroad that was going to be leaving soon   one morning i had gotten up early to go for a run  on my porch however was a box that simply had my   name on it it was small but i thought perhaps  a friend had left it inside i will never forget   what i found there was a picture of my house along  with pictures of me taken from a distance whether   it be at home or at the park they surely creeped  me out if that wasn't enough there was a letter   it simply said see i told you i'd find out where  you lived but why did you have to call the cops   you ruined our fun you're lucky i'm feeling nice  today so i'm going to let you go but don't ever   mess around with me or our chat room ever again  you bet i accepted that warning without giving   it another question i did however now show all of  this to the police but ultimately nothing came up   i no longer had any of the logs on my computer as  i had to reset it also i'm not sure how he found   out where i lived one thing is for sure however  i know i'm never using the deep web ever again my friend from the deep web i could  really use your advice with this one   i gained nothing from making this up and i'm  honestly still scared please understand that due   to my retelling of this i'm going to have to keep  myself and my location anonymous now let me begin   some time ago i ended up moving out from home and  attending community college i'm female by the way   and i was 19. anyways my parents ended up helping  me get a small apartment luckily i was able to   help pay it off with a job where i worked at a  nearby ralves my first spring semester there was   pretty uneventful and i would spend most of  my free time going on the now non-existent   club penguin silly i know but there is a point  to all of this just give me a moment over time   i started getting to know the different users and  i really connected with one person in particular   it's been almost three years and i already forgot  the username but it was something like diamonds   are unbreakable and yes i did just make a  jojo reference okay i digress the point is   we ended up adding each other on instagram after  talking for almost two months he didn't have any   pictures of himself it was just anime artwork and  various other club penguin pictures i myself had   a normal profile with pictures of myself family  etc also this was during a time when my profile   was set to public something i later changed so  anyways this is how we interacted for the next   month or two we started talking about random  things until one day he mentions the deep web   now up to that point i had seen a few videos about  it but i thought most of it was pretty fabricated   the story sounded just like that stories something  people told each other but never really proved   he goes to tell me that he had been on the dark  web a couple of days ago and he saw some pretty   scary things he even goes ahead and sends me  some pictures of what he found it definitely   creeped me out and i started to become interested  not in the pictures but checking out the deep web   i wanted to see what the big deal was and to prove  there is nothing to these stories i had heard   of course i wanted to make sure i did it as safely  as possible so he ends up sending me directions   and basic programs i could get so i could  start it took a while but over a skype session   we were able to get it installed the thing is  i didn't want anything too crazy so i told them   okay just don't send me some creepy  links that could get me into trouble   give me some good recommendations he sent me a  couple of websites which i eagerly clicked on it   the first one was a website that contained a bunch  of old medical documents some of them even showed   some pretty eerie grayscale polaroids the next one  appeared to be sort of like a social media website   think of facebook there were forums the option  of making profiles and even pages you could   follow too i actually went ahead and i made my  own profile of course i used a different name   but i made the dumb decision of using one  of my own photos i guess that's what i got   for being so into myself mind you it was a  really old picture from like five years ago   moments after uploading the picture it clicked  in me that i was on the deep web i shouldn't have   put my own photo realizing my mistake i changed  it to the default image about 20 minutes later   but sadly it was already too late i soon forgot  about the website however and i logged off fast   forward three days later and my friend told me  he was going to be moving to a different home   and might not respond for the next week or so i  was fine with this as i was busy with midterms and   work myself fast forward another two days and  my curiosity was starting to pick at me again   i remembered that social media site i made an  account on i went on to it and i noticed i had a   follow request the person's name was simply billy  this was funny i forgot to mention it but my club   penguin friend's name was also billy i guess he  might have added me on here i mean he was the   one that sent me the link and i did tell him i  made a profile i accepted him thinking whatever   it's not like some random person is going to add  me almost immediately however i got a message   from billy hey there thanks for having me it's  always great to have friends on here by the way   you're really pretty in your profile picture  this confused me i thought i changed the profile   picture but it turned out just because  you removed the profile picture itself   didn't mean it was removed from the photo album  sure enough that selfie of me was still there   i went into panic mode as i looked for a way  to delete it billy reassured me it wasn't a   big deal and i started to relax okay billy so i  guess since we're friends on here we can secretly   message each other without anybody finding out  what we're sharing can't we billy and i say that   in quotations responded with a simple yeah you're  right there is so many things i want to show you   billy then proceeds to send me a link that  was supposed to be an online game want to   play together it's kind of like minecraft you  can build your own things with blocks i promise   it's fun i decided why not so i clicked on it  this was a dumb decision on my part because my   computer crashed almost immediately great sadly  the computer wasn't working properly my best guess   was the link i clicked on was responsible over  my phone i ended up messaging billy on instagram   angry that he owed me a brand new computer wow  billy really you know you owe me a new computer   it's your fault it crashed about 20 minutes  later he responds with confusion the conversation   goes like this what are you talking about lexi i  never did anything to your computer oh yeah then   explain the so-called game you wanted me to play  okay hold on wait a minute i'm lost what exactly   are you talking about the link you sent me on the  deep web i mean your profile's name is billy right   i never made a profile on there what are  you talking about i just sent it because   you requested i send you something super scary  besides i've been so busy with the move i already   told you that remember needless to say the  so-called billy person who sent me a request   wasn't my buddy i'd been talking to it just  so happened that somebody with the same name   happened to send me a request and i was under the  wrong assumption that's when the panic started   to set in yet again the person most likely  took a screenshot of my photo and most likely   will find me too as an update about a month  later i received a creepy message on my instagram   i still remember the username and it gives  me the chills it was billy is still here the   message had a picture sent as well as a caption  with i found you i opened the picture and sure   enough it was the one i had uploaded immediately  i blocked him and deleted all of my social media   and in case you're wondering i have tried  looking up his instagram page but he ended up   removing it what do you guys think i should  do any and all help is greatly appreciated creepy dealers what do a couple of curious  college students decide to do on their weekend off   oh that's right go on the deep web and see if  it's actually possible to get one of those mystery   boxes people always talk about that's what my  buddy and i did one day in 2017 unfortunately we   were and still in the way are full of ourselves  and we think we're those tough shots who aren't   scared of anything boy we would be so humbled  that i don't even wish this upon my worst enemy   to make a long story short my friend and i  actually ordered a mystery box off this really   sketchy website that allowed multiple forms of  delivery you could either have the package dropped   off at a p.o box your actual address which as  you might know is a dumb idea and then the third   delivery in person now maybe we can scratch the  delivery to your home address is dumb delivery   in person worst idea ever but remember we're these  tough and dumb guys who aren't afraid of anything   anyways i kept in contact with the seller via  email of all things apparently thinking i could   trust them and i give them a general location  of the city i'm located in we are told a couple   of their associates would deliver the package  but there was a catch the delivery would have   to be made early in the morning to avoid any sort  of unwanted attention also i was told to sign a   disclosure that if i even attempted reporting  them to the police they would have no problem   going after my family which again is already a  huge alarm bell last but not least it would have   to be at a location they chose now if this already  sounds like a recipe for all things to go wrong   you would not be wrong in that assumption  the seller followed up with another email   he stated it was okay not to accept these  demands and the money would be refunded to   me i was given 48 hours to respond but like you  might have guessed we went through with a purchase   fast forward to the evening of the deal we drive  an hour out of this city to this ghost town out in   the desert both my buddy and i sat in the car  eagerly awaiting the arrival of the delivery   driver i should note that both of us were armed  with knives and mace just in case things went   south finally after waiting almost 25 minutes  a van pulls up in front of my truck no kidding   five men armed with ars jump out of the back seat  and they begin to approach our vehicle one thing   was obvious we hadn't signed up for anything like  this we floored it out of there never looking back   fast forward about an hour later i got an email  from the seller asking why we drove away from the   delivery both my friend and i were astonished  as we didn't realize that was part of the deal   the seller tells me that if we didn't  pay a penalty fee for wasting their time   there would be serious trouble for the both of  us considering the fact they went to such crazy   means to make the delivery we don't question them  any further unfortunately they got my friend and i   for an extra one thousand dollars in fees but  it was worth it to ensure we were safe which   update we have never gone on the deep web again  nor have we had any contact with that seller
