1,000HP ALL MOTOR Chevy FARM TRUCK Meets F1 CAR "ENYO" By Ring Brothers

w [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning and welcome to day two of the autotopia LA Midwest Road tour had an incredible day yesterday with the Roadster shop guys they were kind enough to support this whole thing and send me on my way in one of the Legend series trucks Holly families have been supporting us bear breakes today flow master and I might be a little bit nervous about this but I know Jim and Mike ring very well we've been friends for a number of years I'm sure you guys have all heard of them I'm sure you've all seen this but I got to be honest I never ever ever thought this was going to happen but today today we're shooting Eno man so I'm going to introduce you to Jim and Mike today we're going to go for a drive and we're going to give you all the gritty details on this cuz there's a lot to say about this one so let's do this so here we are at the home of the Ring Brothers you guys have been friends for about 10 years now it's my first time up here you guys this is Mike ring you'll see his brother Jim in a few minutes when we go for a little rip in this car truck truck I guess Rat Rod Eno is all you can call it right wasn't it a Eno face well no I think you can you can say whatever you want so what does it start as you know believe it or not it was a 48 Chevy load Master big old flatbed pickup 2ton truck you know crazy yeah I've SE I mean I've seen like we were just up at Jim's Barn in the truck that's now a fountain yeah exactly he said the exact same truck yeah isn't that crazy so does the owner have any input on what you're building here he liked what we drew and Gary regel Drew and he said go for it and then we as Builders do we kind of keep saying God we'd really like to do this or add this or do that and and he was a yes he was he was just phenomenal that's so cool just awesome from the time like design renderings are done by Gary and now it's time to start building this what was the time from that to the completed going to SEMA the design time and Engineering is two times longer than us even build a car really yeah so cuz all the engine it's not just the design making it look and it's the engineering that makes it work right then we got to have all the parts to start the build actually after we got pretty much the parts this was less than a probably a 9mon build once we started going it's probably rounded 3 years to do a project this scale is anything on here left from the the original load Master the only thing that we used was the cab but then we widened it 4 in lengthened It 2 in and chopped it 4 in so we moved it this way this this way and that way all the doors all that was done in CAD they're all carbon inside outside I mean we had to figure out the hinging the electric windows you know cuz it's is actually nothing how much of the body is metal and car doors you said are carbon the doors are completely carbon the hoods outer shell is carbon the inner shell is all aluminum that we made it look like a rib cage you know all the grill bars we wanted to have the original number of Grill bars and even use the old Chevrolet logo in it but all that carbon those side Scoops all the air induct carbon the whole belly pan is carbon it's completely belly paned out when they did the calculations at 150 mph it's got like 750 lbs of down Force created from the underside of it side of the thing yeah wow so yeah we worked with a guy Scott Alman with the Roser shop he's a chassis Dynamics engineer that actually designed the chassis on the 05 Ford GT but he's a local guy too so so there's a lot of talent in Wisconsin and I count the Roadster Shop Boys from Wisconsin cuz they're right on the they sure feel like it too they feel like Wisconsin guys to me actually now are and so they're involved in the chassi on this absolutely they did the design and helped with that you know we we kind of worked our way into it we the first thing we did was buy the tires to get the proportion of the truck the way we wanted so that was all based off just the tire size it's got a lot of brake the brakes are good we worked with Brembo and the design and I know we talked earlier on we actually scanned 911 we bought 911 uprights scann them and then the roader shop help put them in a model and then put true pin Drive Porsche stuff with Porsche lugs or one nut so it's a true Center lock system on here that uh was all we machined in house I guess if we pop the hood then we can see suspension yeah let's do that I want to see this oh my God this thing's such a freak I swear would you see the cubic inches on the motor 510 510 so you can see the B on LS yeah you can see the spacers under the heads to give it the height yeah you can see all the caner lever suspensions ol's worked with Scotty you know if anybody knows Olan that's probably one of the best shocks in the world right no question asked yeah sure oh that's right this has air jacks yep the owner wanted air jacks cuz the car is so wide you can't get it on a trailer without at least changing the front tires cuz to get in between the fenders on the trailer so huh um so you got to go to like a to go Street it does have street tires for it but it just doesn't look as cool street tires like every square inch of this the Artistry even like even if it didn't work it just looked but it works and then we came you know like well how do we get a hood latch and then we came up with Electro magnet so when you start it that's why these are heavy steel it sucks at tight we didn't know what to do we didn't have room for latches we were running a space earlier I said we were going to Turbo this thing but we just we wanted to keep it clean in a way you know everybody knows you start turboing stuff you got a lot of tubing and we just yeah yeah you know and being a thousand normally aspirated plus they sound you're already good there thousands plenty yeah oh yeah what do this thing weigh this thing weighs 3200 it weighs more than you think yeah I would have thought a lot less but still light car for it's got inner and you know the the chassis is pretty heavy and pretty stout you know you got everything hanging off up here sure it's got to be pretty stout so yeah yeah yeah like everywhere my eye goes it's all a bunch of jewelry you know even look at the look at the break Ducks alone yeah all that's we machine the the plugs but look at it's all for his complete turns complete suspension travel it's all notched out and it's you know it doesn't look like we come in later and did that it's all figured in the cad yeah all right moving over here this is like such a work of art the flow of the exhaust the the millions of pie cuts to bring that together so kind of explain walk us through this this is all you guys in house right this is all Us in house we so we built the headers out of stainless and then you go if you see this collector Point that's cut out so we we we actually have if you look there's another set of exhaust that leaves on the inside of this that goes down and runs through the B where it goes to the bottom and out back in front of the axle right and then then we can open them through these we made and then we started it from there it's a titanium side so from here around is all titanium there's nothing about this truck that's not completely over the top all the way over the fraking top and yet all of it flows it's all done with taste it's all done with style even the the color which what the hell is the color is this you custom oneor I've ever made you know a lot of guys say oh I made a custom color which I'm sure somebody's made this color don't get me wrong yeah yeah but I did not find it I made it are these your mirrors that you made did you guys make these actually printed them really printed these mirrors yeah all right so on the mechanical side I know we've got the 510 in motor making a th000 naturally aspirated very loud horsepower what do you go to on the transmission and the rear end on this so then we have a bowler it is a um it is a transaxle in here oh that's so it's out of a Corvette the uh drivetrain in here is uh we got from Mark bowler and we knew the measurements we actually went and bought a torque tube out of the junkyard and just chopped one up to get us the length so we could continue building while Mark was building the actual one all right let's keep walking around here this is this is another one of the parts to me Mike that the flow of your whole rocker treatment with the exhaust coming out there and how it flows to this and I'm guessing this is all feeding air right into the yeah and then we had to put a baffle cuz we're you know I don't even know who thought of it wasn't anybody just one of the guys in the shop said you know we got to baffle that in there else it's going to come in here and go blowing right out the other side so we had to build this baffle that goes up and actually deflects all the air to come out the fans so um got a lot of smart guys right just just helping you like the door handles those are out of a Mazda Miata and early first gen Miata really and then we cut the lock off on them cuz it's kind of a cool pill-shaped door handle dude I never never would have caught that one if you look at the gas filler we like we wanted to look Quick Fill but yet still modern where you just but these we machined all these out of steel so we inverted this style here for the gas and you see we bubbled out the back end of it a I can totally see that though flip it around yeah I mean I know I made it sound really simple there but and then if you know the Ring Brothers we like to have fun so I don't know if you've even looked at the Insignia in there where your fingers are getting cut off in the fan and just you we we really like to do a lot of those things so always you and your brother definitely have a sense of humor about we try to have fun yeah yeah so now you bring the can of lever back here again as well the can lever with all the you know put the battery even expose the battery cuz we want and the the air Jack um safety catches on them and you know like these are all carbon but the carbon had to be wrapped on a tube but even on the end instead of painting it we left it raw carb so people could see like that's freaking car if you're looking you catch the so so the whole bed of the truck is carbon mhm spoiler carbon and then we knew with the downforce we had to build and again had to machine these in a certain angle these brackets to give structural support to the wind yeah and so yeah and then we made all the lights heat sink you know machined all that into it I just I so remember you guys like I remember talking to Jim shortly before SEMA I had heard about this from Sean smth but then Jim said it the best where he said yeah it looks like an old farm truck ran into a Formula 1 car and it made this you know and but there's so there's so many elements that are pure pure pure race car you know right no it wasn't caged inside though it's so this is all it do have a cage in it does it it's all hidden it's all buried that's why I didn't see it yeah you don't see it it's all buried all right let's look in the interior man I know there's a lot more we could just talk about for days on this thing cuz it's so wild you know we obviously the seats are oneoff carbon back everything we made them you guys made the seats yeah the machine machine but what's craziest thing of the whole thing that I didn't even know you could do see this foam yeah it's solid chunk foam we machine the foam I didn't even know you could do that because we wanted the leather to stick right to the foam and be this nice a fit like you look at that no it's pocketed in here yeah that's that's just foam that's carved out and if you could never get it that nice by carving it by hand so the steering wheels one off the you know everything all the gauges even the does anyone do that or is that you making the steering wheel also uh we made the steering wheel we made the yeah even the headliner carbon made the headliner like you saw the shifters all titanium every little piece of that shter that shifter by the way it's wild you know you look at some of them super cars they got a pretty cool shifter in them and we wanted to do they do you're kind of slapping everyone with that shifter right now got to throw it out there I mean even the safety pull to get it back to reverse and and park you know full Dr every part of it titanium even the bolts in it no kidding and again that's all you guys making that Machining it all in house in house yeah it's crazy and then the dash is all hit that's that's all done foam and then machine the foam and then it's all carbon what are the gauges on this uh Dakota Digital made them all for us custom you guys design everything ahead of time show them exactly what you want uh-huh uh-huh I I you know I know we could go on and on we'll let this flow into the drive part but you know I got to for one it's just so fun knowing you and your brother for this many years now yeah you know it started out with your brother buying one of our car prod your Mustang it sure did yep and it kind of grew into a good friendship yeah anyways dude thank you so much for doing this with me yeah always Sean it's I'm I'm glad we finally got to do one of our cars we actually had a few other ones if you had time we could have back found but it always a reason to come back we're going to come back for sure all right well let's go do the driving stuff wow bro [Music] wow Bo this thing is St it is Skip man like a 5-year-old on a roller coaster dude to any of you guys watching right now I hope you can appreciate apprciate how exceptional it is what we're doing right now that this is on the road oh my god wow are you having a modulate all or is it hooking the whole time I'm just hooking yeah I mean it feels like it's just planted you know well these bracing slicks you're going to have a hard time you know pairing them off sure sure I can't believe I'm driving guys [Music] wild wild we got rocks oh my God a lot of break on this lot I'm driving Endo I'm driving endo [Music] lot of break wow God this thing feels so amazing on the road day two of our Midwest Road tour done epics of word I rarely use but Eno with the Ring Brothers truly
