100,000 Lumen Flashlight vs Singularity V3 (The Brightest Flashlight vs The Blackest Material)

hey everyone today I'm going to be showing you what it looks like to shine the world's brightest flashlight a hundred thousand lumens on the world's darkest material called singularity that absorbs over 99.9% of visible light so in a previous video the previous contenders were the emmalin DX 80 32,000 lumen flashlight shined on this black 3.0 the darkest paint available but for this video I'm going to be replacing the 32,000 lumen flashlight with the MS 18 hundred thousand lumen flashlight look at this beast and then I'll replace the black 3.0 with the singularity v3 much darker than black 3.0 this absorbs over 99.9% of light so first let me show you how cool each of these things are then we'll see what happens when we shine are a hundred thousand lumen flashlight on the singularity okay so here's the different settings of the MS 18 so we'll start off at 700 lumens and see it's like a normal flashlight now actually a pretty bright flashlight even at 700 lumens click it one more time and now this is 2000 lumens look at this go one more 5 thousand lumens it's already so bright ten thousand lumens look how bright this is 22 thousand lumens this is so bright you can see the fan kick on cuz it's starting to heat up okay thirty thousand lumens one more sixty thousand lumens this is so bright okay now we're gonna go for it it already heated up just about sixty thousand lumens let's jump to the hundred thousand lumens three two one oh yeah a hundred thousand lumens look at this so bright just whites out everything okay let's shine in my garage three two one oh look at that just swamps everything all you see is white anywhere you look that is so cool look at it when I shine it outside look how it just lights up these trees and down my street it's literally like I have a police spotlight shining down my street it's actually kind of scary to use so the live from the inland MS 18 can reach 1.3 kilometres now this flashlight is 50 times brighter than a car headlight so it used to be that the blackest thing that you could get on the market was black 3.0 but now there's a newer blackest black called singularity v3 now this is comparable to vantablack this stuff is amazing literally no matter what angle you turn it you can't see any reflection it absorbs over 99.9% of light it's a little disorienting even looking into it because you literally can't see any texture whatsoever it's like a black hole so cool so the way that they make this is actually similar to vantablack so what they do to make this is through a chemical vapor deposition process they build up nanoscale structures almost like a forest that when you shine light down on it it traps the light in there and doesn't let it out and the result of that is this nano structures which trap over 99% of visible light the stuff is amazing so much blacker than black 3.0 so what they do is they plate this stuff on aluminum and you can actually get this as opposed to vantablack which you can get your hands on it's so weird to see this sitting on my table here it looks like one of those cartoon holes that have been stuck on there look at that looks like I have a hole in my table into nothing so first I'll just try against a black paper so I'm gonna change the settings on the camera so that when it's at its hundred thousand lumens setting you'll still be able to see stuff if I didn't change it then you wouldn't be able to see anything it would just be totally white okay a hundred thousand lumens three two one no way it's smoking holy cow okay so look how cool this is on a lower setting look how black this is when I'm actually shining the flashlight on it that is so cool okay a hundred thousand lumens three two one boom okay I'm actually gonna turn down the aperture here so you can see what's happening all those huh so because the singularity absorbs over 99.9% of light what that means is that when I'm shining a hundred thousand lumen flashlight on it it's only reflecting around ten lumens or like a dimly lit flashlight it's so amazing it's so disorienting looking at it it looks like you're looking into a black hole or something you can see things reflecting off the acrylic that it's in but you can't see any reflection off the singularity so I'll put a link in my description where you can get the amulet flashlights they're pretty amazing and then I also put a link in my description where you can get your very own singularity piece like this it's pretty amazing as well and thanks for watching another episode of the action lab I hope you enjoyed it if you did don't forget to subscribe if you haven't subscribed yet and hit the bell so you can be notified when my latest video comes out and thanks for watching and I'll see you next time

Love black just like a good flashlight and vivid colors.
