boom that boy knows how to drive good morning comments welcome back to your channel and to the sunny beautiful Nurburgring I think someone's going to be very happy in the comments because someone has been commenting on every single video that S2000 gang should let me drive in s2000. now actually before we're gonna drive this I need to point out that last year we drove S2000 I think it was a K24 or K20 swap one so we already did one but we didn't do a stock one and actually lots of S2000 Community people have said like you need to drive a stock one so thank you very much for the invitation first of all and for making the trip all the way from Czech Republic It's a quite an interesting example of a car right it is because it has quite a low mileage first of all we bought it just like half a year ago from the first owner who bought it um like in 2000 as a new car yeah born in 1940 yeah drove it till I think 2015 and then it's this way down five years wow so we bought it um transported to Czech Republic just did the maintenance well actually we picked it up on Thursday and then went straight to Noble green so nice fantastic so the car is fully fully fully stuck absolutely fully stock no mods whatsoever with the exception of uh contemporary tires something that you couldn't get 20 years ago or how old is the car actually yeah well 23 years old 23 yeah yeah Pilot Sport 4 was not existing back in the days so it's a stock AP engine use it AP1 so the one that drives to nine thousand so 9000 RPM it is I'm excited top down laps because the weather is beautiful so we made it to the track it's getting a bit busy but I think it's okay for a weekend very small now that I sit in it that's true in comparison like you know guys especially when you grew up watching these cars they looked kind of big-ish and then on the outside they still look okay and then you get inside and if you see like this tunnel yeah it's actually quite a small car I can see the 9000 it's not blocked by the GoPro so nothing here we go control ABS uh I think so yeah I think so okay we'll figure it out very long gear throws yeah that's true and it starts pulling like from 6 000 RPM all right so Vita Community needs to kick in that's right [Music] that boy knows how to drive the big creepier tires and also too high are they yeah not too high but I'm not original size [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] and that's the the biggest issue I like in the corners I'm like really afraid to put the power down because even there entry with demand where usually nothing happens the car just lost traction and that's not something that uh [Music] you're Pleasant yeah [Music] [Music] foreign the verdict uh very emotional loved it perfect for heel and toe perfect for breaking very well balanced but the side notes very well balanced 23 years ago when it was new now the suspension and stuff needs a bit like a bit of love and maintenance kind of work it uh it's very tricky because the car is not that powerful it's like 200 horsepower or 250 yeah 250 250. hmm because it was like it felt very well I I don't know because we were like very on par with the with the Clio with the Clio 3 and stock that's a 172 so maybe with some mods maybe he's running close to 200 with lower weights maybe he has better power to weight ratio especially since we're there's two of us [Music] [Music] yeah and he was also pulling kind of pretty much away from us so maybe it is correct we have of course of course also less torque a bit I think especially than the older cars it's quite close uh but what I want to say is because although low power low torque the grip and Corners was almost non-existent it was just like it was very controllable sure like you know if it was my car after five laps I can just go everywhere sideways I don't care but it's not my car and I don't know how it's going to react especially with loose suspension it could be quite unpredictable in Corners um the car is shrinking exactly that was for me like uh a big disappointment like in the way of like you know there's so much going on when we were once we were like staying behind the video I'm like okay that could be a fun lap but he is on saying his legs he knows his car and I'm like and then you see when pulling away on the straights so I was like it's um yeah because we are trying to keep this car stock absolutely absolutely I'm not saying this is bad no no I'm not saying it because again but it's like we have to understand yeah 68 000 kilometers it's a brand new I think you should keep it as it is for future resale value or because within the lab it's like more than uh it's like more like an investment and exactly the car didn't overheat uh the brakes survived the lab there now you can smell them of course the but the pedal was still okay throughout the lab so the car performs yes it's that you can take it on occasional Sunday drive and then keep it in your garage for like you know future I don't know investment or resale purposes so who knows What's it gonna do it's great uh it's good no let's go that way it's it could be a mild example of never meet your Heroes because it's like you know high revving Honda VTEC rear wheel drive best car ever then you actually get in it like it's good but it's not as great as we used to believe back in the days because all the people are speaking about the S2000 like I know it's a hero here we are on good or new PS4 tires so which is significantly grippier than was available but if we put proper semis on proper brakes proper suspension just these three months the car will be very very good I don't know about other suspension components because I'm not matching to S2000 because I'm sure you can do some tow arms like yeah because we want uh I was I was asked my friend uh if we like uh should mount a high-end car stuff or anything there's stabilizators yeah but you have this here [Music] ah there's actual like bracing for the chassis at the bottom yeah okay the chassis felt like okay it was just like everything around like suspension and stuff it was not really uh it was not confidence inspiring it was it was it was ill come fast enough I believe through a certain uh points but it it could have been much faster so the car is really cool and emotional and perfect and I think that this absolutely it it really is a great basis but I think at the end of the day cars from that age and of those Generations they are all like that it's not that that ep3 that I drove that everyone by now should know probably that video with tp3 and EF knockout was in stock either far from stock it was fully built engine it was like modified brakes etc etc um so you need to do some mods to it and uh yeah just throwing it out there I'm not saying anything or something is or or great it is how it is it's a fantastic base it's very emotional uh but it comes with lots of limitations that can be very easily solved that's true suspension brakes tires you're done like a majority of cars uh but yeah it's I loved it I love the experience it was just like if we just had this just suspension you know then we have it it's uh it's nice so uh again thanks again for uh for the invite and allow me to uh I'm glad you have to go with this pristine condition you told us our opinion your opinion because I think many people wanted to see the S2000 yes the stock one so and what I like is like the engine is fantastic like for me for me it was so again I only have experience with last year's with the right hand drive uh which is again more challenging for me right and drive the gearbox was uh for me difficult to get into I had a couple of times that like it was just either it wasn't neutral or I couldn't get it in gear it was quite a horrible lap let's call it that way in terms of what I could do and what I was actually doing okay um but here in terms of gearing wise everything was good like only at the beginning I tried to like downshift from third to Second and then it was already in the limiter and then you go to the third and then it's like drops so much you know so I don't know maybe like a shorter final drive might be like the more common mod for these cars yeah because if you if if you have it like uh under 6 000 RPMs it doesn't the car is like very lazy yeah it's it is and um so you have to always keep like above 6000 and more so I loved overall the drivability of it uh like to shift how to shift how to go and also like the climb of castlection we kept it in fourth gear in the rev limiter just kept on going and that's what I what I liked it was uh it did a very good job so overall it's again for that age we have to remind ourselves it's 23 years old it is really old like and for that it doesn't look like that exactly and for that time it was great and for today it's still good and it can be made fantastic with just a couple of mods and you can still then keep up with other cars and have fantastic time before not well what's the value of them nowadays too like around what's the value of the car what's the value of the car nowadays nowadays well we bought it for like 30 000 years 30 okay yeah absolutely appreciating even more so like this moment around 35 yeah if we use that of course yeah so that's actually quite a good comparison because we were behind I wouldn't say stuck behind but we were like behind following nicely the GT86 and the new gr86 in Germany they're from 35. nowadays maybe even 40. the older one because that was the previous gen one you can get them I think for 20. so they start from 15 if I'm not not wrong going down they're going down yes well this is so yeah it's uh yeah there's a lot uh soft on suspension uh but for the rest was quite good okay I'm gonna Park up so we can uh but yeah that's China it amazing amazing you're just laughing many people they will appreciate I hope so I hope so it was it was nice like I said it was just like the lack of confidence in the corners due to lack of grip it was like I don't want to try these kinds of things here you know so yeah I always understand it nice
