details on the 2025 Subaru Forester have finally been released and behind me I have a 2024 Forester sport I want to share with you 10 key differences between this and the newest model that is going to below that really means a lot and if you guys have any questions leave those down below I'll do my best to answer the questions that you have on your Subaru number one change on the list here is going to be the exterior designs so you see the pictures online and the vehicle you can tell it looks different up front especially you'll notice the grill so the grill on the 2024 looks like this and then on the new 2025 here is what what the new front end looks like so they really emphasize the width with the horizontal Grill design and how straight the edges are now despite this being a boxier looking vehicle than the previous generation it is more aerodynamic so Subaru really focused on ride quality road noise and comfort for this new model this newest generation so with that they really focused on aerodynamics making this vehicle quieter and you'll see that on the exterior element throughout the first thing you may notice up front on the wheel cladding you have these little cutouts now we've seen those on the WRX and some of our other models and while some people might think those are there for styling Aesthetics they are there for a functional reason that is to release any trapped air that gets under that wheel well by doing so they can increase vehicle stability and decrease road noise on top of that Subaru did increase the stability and the rigidity in the frame frame design and in the roof with the insulation so overall making it a quieter ride than compared to the previous generation there's some design characteristics on the hatch and the rear of this car that have also been changed to further Aid in aerodynamics so one thing which may just look like an aesthetic change is where the location of the symmetrical all-wheel drive badge is so on the 2024 it's on the lower leftand rear hatch but on the 2025 it's now on the dillar so that d-pillar badge also has if you look closely a little lip coming off of it this is just a little spoiler coming off the side to further Aid with air flow as it's it's brushing up against the side of the car and then of course you have the spoiler which looks very similar to the outgoing generation but then even in the details of the tail light design so the rear tail lights here's a 2024 and now here's the 2025 you see again that little Edge that lip coming off the edge of the tail lights which is supposed to help with aerodynamics when looking at the hatch here's the 2024 and now here is the 2025 Forester sport the Forester is imprinted on the rear hatch again further emphasizing the width of the car despite the dimensions being almost identical so the size of the vehicle they wanted to really keep this one about the same size cuz people are happy with it but they wanted to make it a quieter ride a more comfortable ride than before I won't go into all the details in this video but Subaru also updated the technology with the steering so they upgraded to more improved steering I think it's a dual pinion electronic steering system similar to what we see in the cross Trek and in the WRX so more responsive steering and something that is more comfortable and stable than before in front of me is an ice silver metallic Subaru Forester and in the media and pictures and videos you probably have seen this new color featured I believe I believe it's called River Rock Pearl and according to the color code on Subaru's build sheet this is going to be available on all but the base trim level so pretty nice that they're offering a new color and it's going to be on almost all trim levels speaking of color ever since the 2019 Forester sport came out they've always had the standard red accent pieces on the roof rails on the side of the doors and down below on the front Grill trim and instead in the 2025 they've changed this up which I think is a good move on subu's part looking for something a little more subtle they Chang this up to the bronze outside and so these bronze accent pieces really give it a an elevated look in my opinion it's more subtle for somebody who wants that sporty look but doesn't want something just kind of jumping out at you like the red does and on the wheels instead of the black alloy wheels they now have the bronze alloy wheels which I think looks really good on the the white that they show and and probably even that that new gray color that is coming out with the sport trim it's always had this two-tone gray cloth interior with the leather at side bolsters and instead Subaru switched this up on the 20125 it's now going to have the same starx upholstery that we see in the outback Onyx and the Wilderness line so they're going to have that that starx material which if you are unfamiliar the starx is a water repellent synthetic leather material so it's not genuine leather for those who want something that's easy to keep clean and durable I personally have it on my Outback and it works really well they have also completely redesigned the seats which appear to look very similar to the new seats in the Subaru cross Trek so if you want to get a feel or sense of what these are like check out at 2024 Subaru cross Trek those are already on the lot you can test drive and even buy one of those if you like it but they've redesigned the seats to make them more comfortable and they they redesign these seats with medical institutes to actually come up with something that is more comfortable for sitting position so it's better on your back it's more stable and the way the seats are bracketed they are now bracketed to the floor instead of sitting on the rails like the previous generation was that also helps with road noise ride quality and what you feel as a passenger or an occupant when you're driving one of these cars the roof rack design has also changed so here is the 2024 roof rack and there are two roof rack designs on the 2025 there's one on the lower trim levels that almost resembles the outgoing option but then on the mid and upper trim levels we're going to have this sleeker more minimal roof rack design kind of similar to what we saw on the old Outbacks prior to 2020 the side bolster here has also been updated on the 2025 so if you are reaching in the back it's supposed to make it easier to do so and you don't have this blocking you like it does in the 2024 model and to go one step further on the Forester touring you now have ultra suede combined with the leather interior so this adds for not only further grip whenever you are driving but also gives you that elevated look that you sometimes only see in luxury cars another big design upgrade and Technology upgrade is in the infotainment so here's the 2024 it has a smaller display this one in particular is the 8 in display horizontally has some physical controls some physical dials down here for climate and your charging is down here it does have Apple carplay Android auto but it is not wireless and there's no wireless charger capabilities with the 2025 they now have the 11.6 in touch screen display not surprising because they have moved this over from every model the Forester is actually the last one to get get this so they now have this larger display and they do have wireless Apple carplay Android auto and the wireless charger is optional the 2025 has a larger storage area for your phone as well as usba and USBC charge ports the 2024 Subaru Forester has the power lift gate optional on some models that can be opened and closed with your key fob or by a button on the dash in the driver's seat now on the 2025 they're adding a foot activated so you'll swing your foot like this to open and close the power lift gate on those that are equipped with it the eyesight cameras upfront that was first introduced on the 2013 model year has been improved with each and every generation with new camera technology and new software so these cameras control the pre-collision automatic braking the lane centering and the adaptive cruise control I've made tons of videos on those this 2024 has two cameras inside the windshield there that help detect those objects out in front on the 2025 they've added the third camera the third monocular lens just behind your rearview mirror which helps detect pedestrians and cyclists out on the road and gives your vehicle a wider field of view when those safety systems are on they've also enhanced sub's driver Focus so if you're unfamiliar with that the sub driver Focus was only on the touring trim level and what it did was detect your eyes so it could detect distractive driving and give you a little reminder on the dash if you're looking away or looking down and then in addition to that with your memory seats on the touring trim level it would link up do a facial scan and move your seats and your mirror position to whatever position you saved it in the added element to that now is emergency automatic breaking I believe is what it's called so basically what it'll do if you are not paying attention it'll give you an alert here so the idea is if you're falling asleep at the wheel maybe you've been traveling for a while if you are not activating or engaging with the steering wheel and you're looking down it is going to detect that it's going to alert you on the dash and it will bring the car to a safe stop and automatically turn on your cautions for you so pretty neat that subar is incorporating some of those newer Technologies into their safety equipment when it comes to cameras the Forester doesn't really have the latest and greatest all you have right now is a backup camera but on the new 2025 we're going to get a 360 View Camera much like we've seen on the 2023 Subaru Ascent when it was first introduced so this camera will give you a bird's eyee view of your vehicle in parking spaces if you're trying to back out or pull out of tight spots Subaru's auto start stop system has also been revised the auto start stop is a function that shuts down your engine at complete stop stops to save on fuel and decrease emissions put out into the environment and one complaint people have had is that whenever you do come to a complete stop so the car shuts off so it's very quiet right now but then as soon as you let your foot off the brake that's what it sounds like and sometimes that can be loud so Subaru has updated this and revised it in the new end to not only be quieter but also reduce the vibrations and noises that are made whenever the engine restarts overall Subaru has made a ton of improvements with this new 2025 Subaru Forester let me know your all thoughts down in the comment section below do you like what is coming for the new Forester or you do you prefer one of the older Generations I hope you guys enjoyed this video and you have a great day I will see you in the next one
