10 MUST Have Tips & Tricks To Enhance your experience | Hogwarts Legacy

welcome fellow Hogwarts students today I'm going to show you 10 must-have tips and tricks to announce your Hogwarts Legacy experience and don't worry there's no spoilers ahead concerning the main storyline okay let's get straight into it number one the main story and the world restrictions although it may be tempting to go exploring the world right from the earth there are some restrictions on the novel exploring you can do at the start you will find um you can't actually leave Hogwarts until you have the quest of re uh going to Hogs media and that is about three to five hours of gameplay so you do need to get that completed for one thing um and I would just highly recommend that you do start to go through the main story a lot at first because you will find a lot of things in the world will be restricted to try to avoid spending hours on side quests and open world exploring until later on and unlocking your what I like to call bread and butter spells such as revelio Akio and naviosa and the lights of disillusionment and I will cover these further later on in the video same thing goes for unlocking the room of requirement that comes available when you do the introduction quest with Professor Weasley and that is another couple of hours on top of the point where you reach your first visit to hogsmead okay number two I'm going to talk about gear and cosmetics there's quite a bit going on here so I'll explain this one and we'll get straight into gear slots are limited to 20 at the start and can fill up quickly if you're not making regular trips to the vendors however you can change your appearance of your gear as Hogwarts Legacy does have a transmog system I recommend you equip the best gear based on stats which you can easily seen by the red and green markers showing if it's getting increased stats or not and then selling all worse gear as you can change it to any piece once you've unlocked it you can change the appearance of any gear by hovering over the particular gear you want to change the appearance of and pressing Square this will then show you all your available transmogification options that you have unlocked also a cool little thing you can actually equip the hoods on cloaks that do have hoods available by hovering over the piece and pressing triangle that you can see there I have also known as for some glitches and don't know that they might be fixed by now but there are some glitches where you can actually lose pieces of gear if you've not got any gear slots available and you do try to open one of these chests okay that leads us nicely onto Merlin Trails these are puzzles that could be found around the world and by completing these you can unlock more gear slots I would highly recommend you complete at least two of these early on to a look at four more gear slots if not six of these challenges and you can unlock a massive eight more slots and these can be found on the map by this little icon on the world map other mallow Sweet Leaf find these are under your challenges tab under exploration you go down them to complete Merlin trails and you'll see that as I said before solving two of these Milton trials will unlock ford gear slots and solving a further four million trial so six and Churchill will unlock another four gear slot so eight and so on I hope this tip really helps you out because I really couldn't do it with knowing this one myself earlier on and this would have saved me a lot of trips back and forth to the shops now if you are enjoying this video so far and have learned a thing or two the pipeline okay moving on to the room of requirement I think yeah it's really important to really try and save your galleons early on to get the potting table with the free medium pots and the potting table with the two large pots these two tables will cost you six thousand gallions though and that is a lot in the early game two quick tips here to learn to get you some quick resources um for galleons you can learn the disillusionment spell once you've learned that by doing this follow-up quest with Sebastian he will teach you this cool little trick that can go around hogsmead and Hogwarts and there's these chests that with AI and that's how you unlock them you cast the digital instrument spell and then you can then get past him he won't spot you the poor fella the second one being trying to conjure these potting tables will cost you a lot of moonstone so to get some more Moonstone you can actually go around the room pass in the evanescular spell on Old pre-existing items and rewarding you with some Moonstone but you'll love this spell by doing the follow-up quest with Professor Weasley after you acquire the room of requirement okay for tip number five let's talk about what I like to call the bread and butter spells and these are revelio Akio and Leviosa ravelio is a charm to reveal concealed objects messages and any invisible things I had closed doors casting revelio will give you a clear pinging sound and anything nearby will be highlighted with a yellow or blue glow as can be seen here this can be very useful in using it to help you find all the chests hidden around Hog's bead and in Hogwarts so you can get those lovely galleons all these chested 500 galleons next we have Akio this is the summoning charm that can be used to bring an object to the spell Caster this can be used around the world on puzzles and also it's very useful in combat too lift your opponents up and bring them to you and disable them for a second finally we have Leviosa which is a levitation charm this spell could be used to levitate an object in the air from its resting position this is also useful on the puzzles around the highlands and also in combat again to disable your opponents in the air let's now take a look at talents one thing to really consider here is to make sure you think long and hard about what talents you like as you can't unlock them all and they are non-refundable so really take a look on have a think about which ones you want to go and which uh tree you want to progress through do you want to have that darken each and magic and then think about considering those more some core talents to seriously consider are the likes of protego absorption which uh when you successfully block a spell you will gain progress on your ancient magic meter and perfect potato block absorption blocks will give you even more another couple of very useful tons to grab early on is the spell knowledge one and two tons they give you some more spell diamonds to assign more spells to and this is very useful early on as you can find it you uh you really run out of spells quite quickly in combat so this really diversifies your combat and it could just really be annoying just having to change them over all the time to having that extra few diamonds available really just help out another one I would highly recommend is the basic cast Mastery Talent slot as that reduces the cooldown of all spells after casting the R2 basic cast and is a very well-rounded Corton to pick up finally one of my favorite talents in the core tree is the Swift Talent this allows you to vanish and quickly reappear somewhere else and there's amazing Mobility move simply holding down the Dodge button would activate Swift and this is very useful in combat and also from moving around the map at speeds and story missions when you can't use your broom or Mount if you really like to have that extra mobility in games and this one's definitely for you and number seven I'm going to be talking about getting your broom and exploring the Scottish Highlands this Mission um takes a little while to get to you have to do the jackdaw mission it's part of the main storyline first and then Professor gagal will invite you for first flying class that's when you'll be able to get your broom and start exploring this Scottish islands until your is content there's so much there to explore and hope you enjoy it we'll be able to purchase your first broom from Sprint witches from Alby weeks and that is in a shop in hogsmead okay for the final few but very useful tips I'm gonna go through these quite quickly now but make sure you used to carry on watching because they are still very useful and let's go tip number eight a lot of people have been having some issues with the the feeling of the controls uh the camera doesn't feel quite right and you sort of you go to look one way and you sort of fly across so some settings that a fan that works is that if you turn the camera sensitivity all the way up and you turn camera acceleration down that should then adjust the sort of junkiness of how the camera feels without changing these settings another thing that I've been playing around with it you might want to give a go that I actually think it's better when camera camera relative targeting is off there is mixed missed feelings on this one though people do have the preference if you have camera relative targeting art which is the default that selects active targets using the camera stick where if you have camera relative targeting office select active tires movement from stick rather than the um a camera from stick which does allow you to Target enemies that are off your screen which is really useful I think and once you get used to it it adds any other dimension to come back okay for number nine I'm gonna go through a couple of quick UI tips so actually on the map uh rather than going manually over to world map and holds mid maps and so on you can actually hit left and right on the d-pad and it will move you between maps and it's a lot quicker than manually trying to hover over it another tip for number nine simple but very effective tip that actually took me a little while to figure it out but is the locate on map button so when you hover over requests that you want to do if you hold the triangle button it will automatically take you on the map viewer of where your quest is and it just makes it easier to navigate the map because sometimes it's not the easiest little uh final tip for you as well like song quests required to be a certain part of the day like I think there's three Cycles um evening night and day but you can can do is you can use press down on the right analog stick and you've got the weight option there you can then wait as as it says their weight here to advance the time for the day to night or night to day you know wait and then you progress onto that following one that you need you can do this anywhere as well so it's not just those certain locations that quests have these way areas so if you do want to quickly change from day to night you do have that option available definitely some things that I didn't cover in this video and there's obviously a lot of other things in Hogwarts but one thing I do have is a small shot on arithmacy doors so if you're wondering how to fix them then you can check
