participated in a total of 28 alleged thefts from residents of slima in the country of malta her and her gang allegedly broke into people's homes and stole money and jewelry adelette was arrested in 2015 and then granted bail in 2017 after the other members of the gang pleaded not guilty to charges of organized crime and forming a criminal organization however adelette vanished after she was the university of guadalajara and is an extremely educated woman she quickly earned the nickname leje which in spanish means the boss in the early 2000s many of the male leaders of the tijuana cartel were arrested or shot dead and annadina proved to be a valuable asset to the criminal family business she actually operated the gang as its leader for much of her adult life she was responsible for successfully laundering millions of dollars through businesses and helped restore order after a violent turf war in 2008 she even allegedly made an alliance with the infamous chapeau guzman or el chapo technically speaking she's not officially wanted her exact involvement with the tijuana cartel is not officially known and there's no public database showing any crimes committed by her she was definitely the leader of the cartel she just never came into any legal trouble for it but in any case with the rise of the sinaloa cartel and the jalisco new generation cartel in recent years the
