hey guys Matt Allen Tim little welcome back to tactical Bassin today we are headed back underwater we are gonna watch these bass in their natural environment here we are the middle of winter it's still freezing cold none of us want to think about that we all want to think to the future springtime is coming so we've been going through all this underwater footage lately sort of new content and we started watching some of our old stuff and we started realizing just how amazing some of the bites that we've captured really are so we wanted to count those down with yeah yeah going back and organizing all this footage you know we've had so many new subscribers so some of the stuff you guys have never seen before but our old subscribers you guys have seen some of these bites before you guys remember how thick they are but going back and organizing all this footage it's just you can learn so much and that's what we want to do you guys we want to categorize or rank these top 10 underwater bites that not only are epic but that you can learn from in this first clip we're gonna go ahead and cut to number 10 this first clip it's a it's a jerkbait a pointer and I put this in at number 10 just because how epic and how hard this fish hits you know the underwater footage it's a little tricky to get the fish to come up and want to eat on the lens but this fish had no problem doing that and she smashes the jerk bait now for clip number nine it's another jerk bait fish I think jerk bait footage as a whole is one of my absolute favorite things to watch because you can learn so much about how these fish interact to the baits and what triggers them but with this clip what makes it so interesting is if you watch closely there's a second fish that actually comes up and tries to mouth that bait and that's what causes such an aggressive bite from the fish that really takes the shot alright getting in to number eight you know this next clip if it was a little bit farther off of the lens it probably our number one bite but this is a mean largemouth smashing a seven point eight Kai Tech right on the lens and and you do mean right on the lens it hits the camera yeah it literally hits the bait and then as it kicks away hits the camera take a look all right we've arrived at number seven and we've already gotten to where it's really difficult to pick the order of these clips this is one of my favorite bites that we've ever captured this is a river to sear over top water bait and when this thing lands there are multiple fish underneath it and the biggest one flips a u-turn and tries to go backwards to get it but there's another fish already coming and the two of them leave the water together trying to eat this bait but only one of them actually gets it check this out all right jumping into number six you know cinematically this is probably the best catch footage that we've ever got you know Matt and I we're actually doing some underwater footage for some for the Whomper plot we were trying to get some underwater sound some underwater footage of the Whopper plopper how it looks and we were shooting 120 frames a second and this large amount that comes out of nowhere and just blitzes this bait gets goes completely out of the water and it's backlit from the Sun so when the fish lands the way the light just reflects off of the surface is amazing check it out [Music] now we're into the top five these are the best of the best this again one of my favorite clips ever this is a whopper plopper here's the situation whopper floppers running across the surface this bass comes in hot to track it and what I want you to take away not only how ferocious this fish is how aggressively it eats debate but look at the drawing power this fish comes a long way and when it comes into frame it's already got a ton of speed which means it was already coming a long way before you even get to see it and it just never slows down it pulled that fish the whopper flopper pulled that fish a long long way to come up and smash that B again another surprise fish that we were not expecting yeah check this out number four you know this clip is it was hard to rank all these but the reason that we decided to put this one at number four was just the how cool this clip is what we have we have a fish actually a six six six and a half pounder we catch it but she eats like four or five times she eats this jerk bait on the lens and it was just kind of really cool to watch the fish the interactions even though she eats the bait and spits it before we could set the hook how quickly they get on and get off of bait and just the mannerisms of the fish you know she's stuck around for however long this clip is a minute or two and eventually we get her but she doesn't really get back revved up until other fish come into play but what do you think well here's what is so amazing about this clip that you guys don't realize and and I want you to take this to heart you know over the last couple years we've done a ton of jerk bait videos with you and we've really emphasized changing hooks and we've emphasized finding the perfect hook and a lot of you have changed your hooks to the same hooks as us and now you're seeing success well you can thank this fish for that this fish beating us down where it was just eating the bait and we'd swing and it just come off throw back in the river up she's eat it swing come off this is the fish that triggered us to realize how critical a jerkbait hook is from any other hook and then it's got to be sticky sharp it's got to be perfectly balanced and when it all comes together you need the fish to hook themselves because that fish was eating that bait and getting rid of it literally faster than I could set the hook check this out [Music] number three this is one of the earliest underwater clips that we ever got again we're back to a pointer jerkbait this is a fish coming in to eat the jerk bait so hot and aggressive that it almost loses control of itself but you don't even notice until we slow it down and you see the slow motion that a different fish was going to take a shot and that's where this aggression came from a fish comes in in the background and tries to mouth on the bait and that's when this one fires up comes in hot spinning Donuts trying to eat that bait she almost does like a back flip and then comes around you do one twitch and she just murders it unreal look [Music] alright number two now this fish this catch we're throwing a river to CS waver 168 you guys know that we love that bait but this catch this bite kind of went viral it kind of it hits the swim bait so hard that it it goes number two and then makes a mess but the cool thing and what to take away from this again just like Matt said the other the other bite how the fish are interacting and once one fish gets revved up the others get revved up we've talked about it before I think you've talked about in seminars it's like kids in school no one wants anything but as soon as one kids wants it they all want it and the same thing happened with bass that one fish wants it they all want it she smashes the s-wave or 68 take a look [Music] well we finally arrived at number one it's a given number one had to be a swimbait fish and in this case it's a big swim bait fish you're looking at an 8 pound bass running down a 10-inch swim bait this is the 10-inch huddleston now this came out of an entire video with incredible interaction between a male and female bass where a male was trying to corral a female away from eating the bait we just took a single clip out of it but watch this fish this is an eight pounder coming in hot never slowing down and destroying a huge swim bait a lot of people question whether bass really eat those big big baits this is one of the biggest soft baits you can even get your hands on and this fish was not afraid and one thing to take a look are to pay attention to is how in all these clips how accurate these fish are when they're hitting the baits they're strategically trying to miss the hook on this on this swim eight I have a stinger hook on the back and she just gets the back of it but all these fish they're smart they know what they're doing they're accurate with their bites take a look alright guys so there you have it those are our top ten underwater bytes that we have that we've looked at so far you know again it's hard to rank them but there's so many things to take away from underwater footage and I think we're gonna spend a lot more time here in 2019 getting more of that footage for you guys but again those are our top 10 bytes underwater let's down below in the comment section you guys tell us how you want to rank them and what you guys learned guys we appreciate you we're kicking 20:19 off with a bang this is going to be a big year we are so excited taking you guys back underwater taking you across the country this is gonna be a lot of fun we hope you enjoyed the clip like every video will link all the baits down there for you we will link those jerkbait hooks too because you can see how critically important that is but we appreciate you guys if you enjoyed the video hit that like button subscribe to the channel and we'll talk to you soon see you guys [Music]
