[Music] assato corsa is maybe best known for its mods but when there are over 20 000 of them it can be hard to find the really good ones that you're looking for in this video we're going to go through 10 of the best open world mods and there are some absolute gems in here so stick around to the end first up is la canyons an open world map based on railroads in california there's well over 40 kilometers of roads to drive and explore and there's loads of different layouts too some are of course open world however there are also closed loops that you can race and do time trials here the map itself is pretty damn impressive too i think the sheer size of the surrounding landscapes is really what makes it in terms of design there's great variety with lots of fast open sections that feel really on edge to drive through but also some tighter twistier hill climbs and descents thanks to the inclusion of a closed loop it's also really easy to add your own traffic through the track day mode there is also another mod that lets you add two-way traffic and i'll have that along with all the other content mentioned in this video linked in the description another feature of this map is the vip access because you can pay to unlock loads more layouts that are primed for multiplayer pursuing modes next up is the shitoko revival project a project that aims to be the definitive version of shitoko also known as the tokyo expressway the greatest credit i can give this map is that it feels a lot like the tokyo expressway tracks in gran turismo 7. and in that game they've been done by a big team of people with a big budget the shitoko project couldn't be further from having these resources though yet they've done an absolutely incredible job the detail is quite possibly the best on this list with everything from the road markings signs and surrounding buildings all just looking incredible this makes it super immersive to drive around especially at night oh and it's also over 150 kilometers there's a traffic setup built into one of the layouts which makes things really easy and you can find traffic pack mods in their discord server too also linked below they also run some of their own multiplayer servers so you can cruise around in open lobbies pretty damn cool up next is glencoe another real world location this time an area of scotland first and foremost it's massive with a total track length well over 120 kilometers or 75 miles it's got a mixture of real and fancy roads much of which are quite fast and sweeping similarly to la canyons the surrounding environment is really impressive and it's only when you go to the free roam camera that you really appreciate the scale a cool little feature on this one is actually a small race track which was a nice surprise to come across there are no alternative layouts though so you can't drive on it or race on it exclusively that's not to say it won't make it fun if you're driving around with friends though which is easy because the track also has a dedicated server just search glencoe in the online mode it is also one of the older mods on this list so the graphics aren't great but stick around to hear about its newer brother that's even more impressive next up is the tajo hill climb another one based on a real location but this time the alto tajo national park in spain now this map isn't technically open well but it's done so well that it very much feels like it and i had so much fun driving it that i couldn't help but to include it the layout starts with a super fast pretty open downhill section that quickly becomes a tighter hill climb in a ravine the fact it's a relatively short track means that it's really good for racing and also great for time trials the latter sections actually feel rather rally stage-like too so it's a lot of fun in those sorts of cars as well the graphics details and textures are also pretty good on this track not shitoko good but good enough that it's immersive to drive around it also doesn't have as much of a hit on performance and frame rates as some of the other maps due to it being a bit smaller which is going to be quite important for some people now our fifth map is another properly open world one kanazawa erosion bit of a mouthful like shitoko it's also in japan but said in a more rural area the map is massively varied with a modern and historical downtown as well as drift roads and even an original circuit while most of this is part of the main free road map there are also dedicated layouts for drift right across the circuit and also a good downhill stage the graphics and detail definitely isn't the best but when there's so much in one map it really is made up for you can also get traffic on some of the layouts but not all and on the track you can get them racing but you will need another mod once again link to the description next up is santa monica mountains which similarly to l.a canyons is also in california this time though it's pretty seriously accurate to the real-life roads as photogrammetry is being used to recreate them from what i gather it's all being done by what guy todd who lives nearby and uses a 360 degree gopro at the summary of his car to get the data gotta respect that the roads themselves are great to drive and your environment also looks really good there's also two-way traffic available in free road with different spawn points to choose from and it's still very much in the works with loads of improvements coming while it is set up for traffic the racing lines have also been done meaning you can race the ai around the whole thing which is a lot of fun feels like racing in a forza or crew game just with much better physics talking about forza this next map called high force feels even more like one of these games specifically for surprise and fall that's because it's set in the north pennines of england where the landscapes buildings and dry stone walls especially are a lot like the ones we saw in horizon 4. like the santa monica map it's also been done incredibly true to life and to demonstrate that here's one building side by side with the counterpart on google maps not bad huh the road itself is a closed loop though but once again it doesn't feel it mostly due to its size at 50 kilometers the graphics and textures are really nice and well detailed so it's especially immersive to drive around i recommend trying sunset or dusk two-way traffic is also really easy to add but watch out for the ai cars crashing every now and then i've seen some annoyingly big pileups next up is a bit of a different take on open world with hex modern night city drift as you can tell from their name this is a map made solely for drifting it's a fictional chinese city that's good for pretty much one thing tearing around in all drift cars as you'd expect from a dedicated map the layout on roads are perfect for drifting with a mix of gridded city and longer sweeping turns and tunnels it's not the biggest environment but it doesn't really need to be and especially with friends you can have a lot of fun drifting in tandem and making up your own routes around it now our ultimate map is impressive for one main reason and that's its size other mods we've looked at so far have been big but none of them even come close to glenn's shield yes this is glencoe's new brother with gunshield however everything has been turned up a notch and the size has been turned up about 10. the creator estimates that there are over 1200 kilometers of track here which is over 750 miles around half of the roads are real too with the other 50 being made up but even that is seriously impressive due to the scale unsurprisingly the graphics aren't the best but this can easily be overlooked by the ore of its size you truly can get lost in this one and you'll have to put in some serious hours if you want to drive all of it there's also a few hidden easter egg-like circuits dotted all over the place which could be good fun to find there's also online servers with traffic and all the links and downloads are in the discord server which i've linked below now while lots of the mods on this list are going to be the best for different things and preferences this final one puts a lot of good elements all in one place which is why i left it till last union island is a tropical island found north of south america and yes the whole thing is in ascetic corsa this mod is possibly the most beautiful of all with all the landscapes towns and villages incorporated in a way that feels pretty authentic even the airport and therefore air strip is present and part of the free roam it's not as big as some of the others but this means that the detail is incredibly good i'd say this and the shitoku project are kind of in a leak of their own here in terms of the roads artistic license has been taken to make them absolutely amazing to drive there's loads of altitude variation as well as some drift suitable zones and amazing coastal stretches personal favorite for me as well as the open free road map there are also two closed route tracks which can be used for time trials racing or to make it easier to add traffic driving around here really reminds me of both forza horizon 5 and test drive unlimited which are two pretty massive commendations for a homemade mod so there you have it 10 of the best open world mods for ascetic corsa it's honestly pretty mind-blowing to see what's possible when there's such a great community behind a game as promised all links will be in the description below so you can go and download your favorites straight away but that's everything from me so if you have enjoyed it then a like or even a sub would be absolutely amazing but that's all so thank you for watching and i'll see you in the next one [Music]
