good deal good deal hey good hey guys welcome back to another video today we're here on the F14 Tomcat it's been a while since I flew this thing at least it feels that way um today we have a little bit of a I guess a fictional scenario uh I want to see what would happen if the F14 Tomcat was to be deployed during Vietnam now many of you know uh the American withdrawal from Vietnam was in 1973 the introduction of the Tom Cat Came in 1974 so it was very close but uh it did not serve in Vietnam but today we have a whole bunch of migs off the nose and we're going to see how it would have done now the Mig 21s had considerable I guess quote Success against the f4s in Vietnam the Air Force had a 2:1 kill ratio for the US and the Navy I think it was like 3 to 4 to 1% so uh ratio I should say so uh when you when you look at that that basically is taking average of that so that's like three for every one Phantom lost three M 21s were killed or MC 17s or whatever M 19s or whatever uh were flying at that time uh M 21's had a pretty good kill to kill to death ratio they performed pretty well in Vietnam but the F14 was such a leap ahead I think it wouldn't be crazy to call it the F22 of its time I have a m 21 locked up here I got a fox 3 that's a a54 uh Charlie at 9 miles going to try to shoot another one here I got three more fox 3 and I have the ACM cover up too by the way if you saw that so these missiles are active off the rail Splash one here's another one fox 3 again and the last one fox three again that last guy's breaking to the left here now I don't even know how many m21s are here but I'm going to fight everybody uh everybody who wants to fight I will fight this guy it looks like that Phoenix that I shot is not even tracking it's just going into Oblivion so this guy's going up high so I'm going to chase him with a sparrow and there he is he's up high and he's slow which makes him the perfect candidate for a sparrow shot so we get up here hold on inside of 10 miles like 6 miles Fox one that's tracking and splash one okay there we go nice to see The Sparrows doing the job for once all right I'm we'll turn around and there should be another guy I can already see him over here if I can get a lock there we go and he's coming towards me two miles Fox one again and that Sparrow is also tracking Splash one again all right we're having a good day with The Sparrows here honestly it's very very surprising to see the sparrow actually perform that well okay that guy just hit the ground Splash one now obviously we're going to see how this plays out I think I can put serious casualties down on these guys but you know I don't think they're going to get me but we'll see about that but the F-14 should absolutely Slaughter everything here got a lock on this guy and a fox two tone Sidewinder tone there he's dropping flares we'll wait for him to run out of flares and then I'm going to give Chase I'd like to get a pretty nice aspect shot I think he's already out of flares I'd like a low aspect uh you know rear shot a rear aspect shot and this looks fine if I can get tone here Box 2 that's pretty good and that's tracking perfectly and he's got no flares left Splash one M 21 oh we just got shot there we got nicked by this guy's rounds and it looks like somebody shot a missile at me that's not very nice that guy High rate of speed across my tail I'm going to reverse on him see if we can squeeze him out in front all here he goes here dropping flares realizing that he's in a bad situation now he's trying to extend away wait for the flares to end Fox to and splash one there's so many of them and honestly like a two to1 Advantage should be a pretty extreme Advantage but when you're taking on five six seven I don't even know how many guys are here maybe eight guys are here and you're just fighting all these guys and you're slaughtering them there's nothing they can do about it that really shows you the domination of the F14 and the massive leap in technology and capability that came from the F4 all the way to the top cat the Tom cat was revolutionary for its time look at this M 21 here he's stuck in a two Circle and I'm out raing him basically he's going to die here I have nothing left though I'm down to guns only he's dropping flares cuz he doesn't know that there's a possibility that I still have a fox 2 but I don't so we're going to have to gun this guy and I think uh this might be like the last two guys I don't know there's still one more guy out there I can hear him on rwr look at this guy going up maybe like if I was this guy my best tactic would be to try to drive the Tomcat into the ground some rounds off that were [Music] missed yeah there we go I got to get the box right on top of him or El it's not tracking him correctly and the gun solution is not correct and it's a little harder with the these older Radars it's not like it's a you know F22 radar that holds track perfectly the entire time getting pretty close to him here oh I think I it was right on him there but I I missed the opportunity here we go let me walk it on yeah that's going to yep good hits there and a couple more hits on his tail there and he breaks up all right perfect that's excellent Splash one where's the other guy or Splash like five I don't even know what that is anymore where's the other guy at the only thing that limits the F14 is its Fuel and weapons load there's he's over there I think he's running away I imagine like two f14s could Wipe Out the entire mc21 fleet for the Vietnamese back then there's this mc21 I have them on camera he's like running for his life just watched all of his buddies get slaughtered I'm going to have to run him down and like I said consider the fact that in real life they wouldn't just send a single Tomcat out like this you know there'd be like two minimum there might be like four or eight of them so these things would have absolutely dominated the Earth space over Vietnam given the opportunity uh so he saw me and he broke into me he realizes he's not even going to be able to run away I can even chase him down he can't even run away that's how dominant the F14 is and we're just going to stay with them just a patience game he can't out rap me he can't do anything to me all he can do is hope that I hit the ground so essentially he's got to pray for a miracle the whole time there's nothing he can do to defeat the F14 if I do everything right correctly right if I manage my closure and all that there we go a couple rounds there that actually might have nicked them I don't know let me see if I can get these any tighter on there losing track he is jinking it'd be nice if the f14s gun had like spread like a f115 or something you know cuz although you're firing a single bullet it feels like a shotgun there's so much spread though he probably would be dead right here look at him trying to climb through the mountain there just narrowly climbing over he's trying to drive me into the ground it feels like he almost hit the ground himself there I think wow and he's going into the vertical now still following him let me get some rounds on oh yeah oh oh give me a proper track I hit him there a couple times how did those not hit him I'm almost out of ammo here this m might actually survive just cuz I'm going to run out of ammo come on I hit him so many times already like how is he look at that that's perfect that was right on top of him and I that's it oh oh there we go okay his wing broke off in the last second I'll take it that's it that was was my last round [Music] too
