what's going on everyone so today we're changing the low pressure fuel pump in the f-150 because at this point i don't know what else it could be and why it's not starting or why it keeps shutting off it's just gotten worse to this point [Music] he'll run for a little bit and then it'll still shut off uh change the purge valve which i have clips of things that i've been doing so i'll throw them all in here [Music] so i said i was gonna put those clips in but i decided not to put the clips in i haven't edited the i did it but that i'm not going to put the clips into me changing everything because in case that this is not the issue that fixes the truck i'm going to just make an overall video of that issue that i'm having so this video is just strictly for the fuel pump anyways we've done a lot but today we got to do this guy to do so shouldn't be too bad of a job i've done the fuel pump on my ranger my old seven ranger when i had that basically first thing we're gonna do is rip this off don't need that it's a little ring i'm gonna take out these three bolts here for the fuel filler neck and then there's two straps underneath that we're gonna undo this where this strap and this strap and then we gotta undo two fuel lines and then lower the fuel tank and also unplug the fuel pump itself shouldn't be too bad of a job good thing is 36 gallon tank it's got a little less than a quarter quarter tank in it a fuel so yeah all right i'm just going to get to it so the way this stupid clip works is you peel back this part and then you can squeeze and push up then the line will come apart like so but it's gonna have fuel and now it's running down me my god if your uh straps are rusty now's a good time to clean them up or change them so so i'm stuck i'm stuck i'm not stuck anymore [Music] [Applause] all right about 20 minutes later fuel tank is out on the ground it's a little dirty um now all we got to do is disconnect these two hoses and then this ring it's like a uh turn ring so you gotta punch it one way to unlock it and then everything comes off but first we're gonna oh no there's a check valve on this that's cool so we're gonna try and clean this up a little bit before removing it and then we'll go ahead and remove it undid the two wires that were here i would laugh with whatever this stupid thing is could be the issue so if it is that would suck because that means i gotta pull all this apart again anyways let me go ahead and take this off all right got it cleaned up as best as i could so now we're gonna go ahead and uh start trying to remove that thing pops out [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] oh we got out so [Music] do [Music] and then we just gotta plug up the sensors but i'm gonna put some electric uh dielectric grease and the plugs first so we'll be good to go [Music] yeah i just use my foot to move the camera to let you guys know what i'm what i'm doing here i can get out whenever i want where's you're gonna say the truck i'm glad the truck isn't up on stands is if it were to fall that it would not be pleasant see i don't need no fancy lifts or a shop like everybody else on the internet nah i'll do everything in my driveway hey cause it also doesn't fit in the garage that well maybe one day maybe one day all right let me get out lift it up with the jack put the two straps on reconnect it the filler nozzle and we can see if this helps at all or if it's still just going to be broken [Music] let's forget there's two more things to hook up under here these guys this guy we clip that in and then this guy done and done also if you're planning on upgrading let's say you have the 23 or 25 gallon fuel tank on your f-150 you can just go and find a 36 gallon one or buy one this is all you got to do basically and then go into foreskin and change it from 23 to 36. so yeah all right we just gotta so there is a hose clamp here that holds this hose up oh see so this hose clamp goes around here right there and we can re-screw it back in up here so let me go ahead and do that i feel like i keep saying one last thing but honestly it's two more things so it's reconnect the battery yep that's connected and now now it's the very last thing hey you want to know how to convert your f-150 885 don't worry about tuning and other things just take this off go get one that says e85 and put that one on boom i have an f-150 that runs on e85 i'm kidding sorry ah keys are in the truck ah dirty hands whatever me just rub them all over the place oh i heard it turn on heard it's like a fuel radio's on sounding better let's plug in the tuner let's see if it's going to read fuel pressure gauges and data log my radio don't work too well because i took my antenna off line pressure is still the same as what it was but anyways not sure if it fixed it or not because it still seems to be yeah but that's how you change your low pressure fuel pump on your 09 to 14 f-150 so i'm gonna end the video there me and my dirty hands so i will catch you guys laters well update because even though it's a field pump video um truck's still shutting off won't even stay on for 10 minutes so don't know i'm gonna eat my ice cream sandwich then i'm gonna go change cardboard uh more i'm not happy and away he goes uh
