welcome back guys good afternoon I should say it's about 1:30 yeah I have Oh 173 with about 250,000 miles on it it was brought in towed in for it not starting just cranking I have verified that smells like and here is clear evidence that they're using starting food I just kind of want to show you guys what I'm stumbling across and I haven't done anything really except this run some codes and a visual inspection so let me go ahead turn the key on I'm just going to monitor ICP injection control pressure while we're cranking the engine and I want to show you guys how much pressure we got no I'm sure you guys know but does anybody know what the pressure requirement is for this engine to start it's more than what I'm getting let's see let me focus alright here we go that's it usually 7/3 popov oil pressure really really fast I haven't really had too many regulator issues I guess I'm never replaced a few of them but you know not usually for something like this all right I'm doing some inspections all right you know let's check the oil right let's check the oil let's check the oil well there is no oil there's no all oh Christ I wish you guys could smell what I smell right now you can just smell the remnants of starting fluid being in the induction system and coming out the exhaust yeah sectors aren't turning on buddy with 40 psi we need to see 500 to 600 psi 600 for sick so I guess 500 really 473 but anywhere in between is really what we want so let me go ahead and put some oil on this pig if it's not reading on the stick I'm gonna have to go and say I'm gonna add three quarts I'm gonna add three quarters I like our guns using ten thirty let's see where that brings us [Music] he's got the water pump I'm sorry the vacuum pump gasket on cleaned off bottom two bolts were completely loose we're gonna rip this oil pan off and let it sit overnight let it drip all drip all night long here we go three cords all right just ten seconds go down to the crankcase I'll show you what kind of vehicle we're working on here just a plain Jane 350 with a steak bed my mini steak bed he's got a aft axle fuel tank he's got some sort of airbags or something but I wish you could smell what's coming out of there right now just they must have dumped a few cans of starting fluid in here I'm wondering why it ain't start check the glow plugs Zehra they're functioning I should say the relays turning on I didn't home out the glow plugs I'm not getting any smoke off the tailpipe or anything all right let's see let's see [Music] the comic oil I got look how much oil I got check it none are you kidding me alright I'm gonna I'm going with another three quarts man going with another three quarts that's frickin crazy oh these people doing man oh my gosh unbelievable unreal man that's crazy I just don't understand these guys what's going through these people's heads the last one you seen they didn't change the air filter these people they can't put oil in it oh my gosh mind-boggling alright give it a another few couple of seconds here just make sure this is open aw that's good I like these tell me what you guys think for are you seven three owners and 600 owners I want you to tell me do you guys like the 7-3 dipstick butter or do you like the six-oh dipstick indicator better I'm gonna have to say I like the 7/3 I like the wide metal one compared to the flimsy little I don't know I've always liked the 7/3 one it's like it's my favorite out of the even the six seven that one with the like the metal rope all right here we go pulling it out this would be six courts now into the crankcase here we go we're getting some we're getting some can you guys see where it's at I get the bottom all right let me wipe that off I'm wondering if we didn't have any freaking oil in here and that's why it didn't have any high pressure oil for goodness sakes all right check it again that was another 15 seconds give me 20 seconds see sit one up I was at the bottom of the ad bottom of the hash marks okay it's coming coming up no I'm gonna put one more cord in it so half capacity is what I'm gonna do mister now missing had 7 7 quarts or less in this thing that's incredible so I guess after this we'll see if it starts cook this back down in here so okay let's see if it builds high pressure oil huh may have some other stuff going on but I'm just checking the obvious right now it's like really it's gonna forget my 259 here's the oil change sticker here's the mileage guy didn't complain about the oil leak so either he's got a big time well ago this thing's really eating oil or they didn't fill it up correctly okay we're here we are alive see what we got okay we still have no pressure so one of two things either we have a bad high pressure oil pump or we have a bad I PR valve and the IPR valve is going to regulate what is the output of that pump so that could be a potential fault I'd have to tear it out and inspect it one thing I could do I did see that they had and updated or a newer ICP sensor installed and connector and then go ahead and disconnect this and see if it goes into some sort of default let me see if it starts doing Malcolm listen I got the tailpipe or anything I got no injection happening nothing mmm smells nothing but starting food nothing was starting forward you guys are wondering the IPR valve is actually right there that is the IPR valve that's its connector that read and looks like orange colored wire yeah that one right there I don't I don't really have a spare one of those actually no I don't think so I don't know I might I know I had a shirt [Music] oh by the way this is his new this is his new role around he got off Craigslist 950 bucks nice I know I thought I gave it to him 7:3 I could try this I'm gonna test this one that's what I'm gonna do you guys I'll let you know in the comments of if the fix is that or not but that's what that's what I'm gonna do that's the game playing this is an IPR valve 19 no 19 mil that screws off and then we got the solenoid and then this is the valve so I'll have to do this is actually the same size as hey no it's the other one anyway I got a big socket at all I can use to take that off so alright you guys this what I'm gonna do I just want to get a quick video what I got going on today we're going to finish this one up and then I'm gonna try to diag this one and I got a few others I gotta check out I got an oil cooler on a 73 I got to do this weekend at home and a few water drains I love I might get a video it's kind of something like this - Plain Jane Super
