Hello, this is StarryBitna. :) Today, I'm going to try changing a low-resolution image to a high-resolution one in Adobe Photoshop . Guys, did you know that Photoshop has such a honey-like function ? For those who have been worried that the image quality will be broken if the photo is enlarged, this video will solve it. Then let's get started! Let's check the size of the prepared image . Current image size: 663 x 442 A very small image is prepared. I'm going to enlarge the image to double the width and height (without loss of quality!) Please follow me. When you open a file in Photoshop, you open a lot of files by dragging them directly from the folder . But now, when I open it like this, the function we will use does not appear. Therefore, instead of opening it like this, use the File > Open menu. :) Let's choose a JPG image file to use. Then select Format: Camera Raw file format. This selection will reveal the features we will be using. Please press open. People who take pictures are probably familiar with this screen. For those of you who have always used only jpg files , you might think, what kind of function is this? If you open a RAW file with a good original quality, the current screen will appear automatically. Now, we 'll work on uploading the low-estimated map to high-resolution. So right click on the image here . Then there is a menu called Enhance. I'll press it. Then the menu called Super Resolution will be selected. A feature called Super Resolution is a feature that utilizes a machine learning model. Thanks to this, it will be a feature that intelligently enlarges photos to preserve sharp quality and important details. Since both the width and height are doubled, if a 10-megapixel photo is used, it becomes 40-megapixel. I'll try to make it work. Then it went right on. Let's click Open here. This is the image before I increased the resolution. The images we increased the resolution of were saved separately in the same folder. dng extension. You can open the DNG file directly . Since DNG files are new format RAW files, they can be opened through the same Camera Raw function. Then click Open. braided! Can you check this now? The one on the left is the picture before increasing the resolution. The one on the right will be the image whose resolution has been improved through a function called Super Resolution . If you check the lower part now, you can see that the size is very different even though it is 100% the same . I'll move the original photo to the right and see what happens if I resize the original image with the normal resize function . Let's change the name of the layer. The one at the bottom is using the Super Resolution function. Above is the original image. I'll press Alt (Option) and increase it while matching the middle point. Let's do a comparison. Right now, this is the state where the size of the original has been increased by simply resizing. What you see now will be an image that has been enlarged using the Super Resolution function . Original, Super Resolution, Original Super Resolution. You can see that there is a huge difference. Finally, let's save the DNG file as a jpg. First of all, delete the original layer you put here for comparison by clicking Delete . I'll leave just one layer called Super Resolution. Click File > Export > Save for Web menu. Make sure the extension at the top is jpg. Click the Save button to finish. Enter the desired file name and click Save. You can go to the following folder and check if the image has been saved successfully. Today, I looked at how to make low-resolution images high-resolution in Adobe Photoshop . It will be a very useful function if you use it when you only have a small size image because it is too old, or when you cut out a certain part from a large image, and you want to use it by extending it a little, but you don't want to lose quality !
