rice and soup and meat and vegetables and fruit and then after you eat all of that then you have cookies and bread and grapes and then after that are you still hungry healing no i'm not i'm throwing up in the bathroom like i'm full so it's definitely i also had interest in korea i knew a little bit about korea before moving here of course yeah i was just kind of bored of texas and i had visited korea twice while i was in high school so i decided to move there um and i decided to move here but yeah it's been three years and everything's good i like it here um i think my oh am i supposed to say get married or so first of all like me and my husband actually met while so getting so we were introduced by a mutual friend of ours and so that experience in the first place was new to me it was my first time doing like a blind date and that was really fun and so dating him was really fun it was um he's really nice handsome i think he's handsome and then the engagement was pretty easy it wasn't really anything too complicated we just kind of agreed on it together and his family was um really happy for us they totally agreed with it and my family did too so it was a pretty easy process to be honest easy decision today we're going to be talking about what has changed about me ever since i married into a korean family i mean korea i think is a little more um conservative when it comes to fashion uh compared to western countries so even sometimes when i would wear clothing that i would seem appropriate whenever i go to my in-laws house to visit them i definitely have to change my style a little bit nothing too showy like no shoulders nothing too short nothing too low um and i get it it's just a respect thing because you know it's his family and it's his parents um but definitely yeah i would wear something like this to his parents house something nice and covered not something that i would wear to meet my friends anything a skirt or shorts or a tank top yeah but when meeting his parents i would not wear that he's suggested that some of my clothing is like too short or like maybe a little see-through or something like that um but he's never told me to like take it off or we're not going out or anything like that he's never forced me he suggests he's like maybe like but i do what i want so it is very different i actually asked my husband about like how he thinks about my style because it is so different even though i think i dress kind of in a korean style now he told me that my clothes reminds him of a college student in america like a new york college student and i don't know why because i usually just wear sweaters and then here usually in korea the men wear these like side body purses like bags like fanny packs i i don't know i don't know what they're called but that nobody wears that back in the states um the girls here i think in in america maybe they dress a little more casually like you can go into the store in your pjs and nobody really cares while here if i go out in my pjs like i put my long padding coat over it so nobody sees it yeah or like if i have no makeup on i'll put a mask on even it's really different um usually in america it's just you know the basic pancakes bacon eggs um personally i never really eat a big breakfast because if i eat breakfast usually my stomach hurts so i would just eat cereal or just like plain waffles or some bread or something like that um but here breakfast looks more like dinner it's usually like a table just full of food and it's rice and soup and meat and vegetables and fruit and then after you eat all of that then you have cookies and bread and grapes and then after that you have tea and coffee and water and then after that are you still hungry healing no i'm not i'm throwing up in the bathroom like i'm full so it's definitely uh i haven't been able to adjust to that too well i'm a very picky eater and i don't eat too much um so it's kind of difficult especially breakfast to eat that much right when you wake up for me yeah i think that's the biggest difference more my husband cooks i order food he cooks i think so i think so a little bit yeah he cooks really well like he'll just look at a tutorial on youtube and he'll know how to do it and then i he doesn't even let me cook anymore because i burn everything and he says it tastes bad so it's not my choice um but yeah he cooks really well and i'm surprised because like he's lived with his family he never lived alone so i'm really surprised that he cooks that well and it's also it's always like really nice really good he makes a lot of it too so i think i've definitely gained a little bit it's not too much i can i can control it but a little bit um yeah even when i lived alone here i didn't use the gloves after i got married he bought the gloves for us and then i started using them because they were available um but yes i started um well before i got married i was living in an office tell so it was really small it wasn't too much to clean now we're living in an actual um apartment so it has actual rooms and actual you know things to clean so um yes i do clean a lot more than i used to yay especially with two dogs someone reaction oh i think it's really different i think um especially on tv and like actors and idols and all that stuff um on variety shows um when you see them react to something they're very like oh like when they're eating something they're like like it's like very over the top it's very like extravagant and stuff but um on in america it's just more kind of like stable not stable but like more calm so it's like if you find something tasty or just like yum like you know but here in korea it's like but i think that's what makes it funner i like how people react here in korea i think it's fun i think it's fun um i feel that they do that a lot over the phone so when i'm speaking to someone over the phone and i'm just like talking while i'm talking they'll be saying oh oh oh oh oh like while i'm talking and i feel like if you don't do the whole thing like they stopped talking because i was talking to someone was talking to me over the phone i was like and then i stopped doing that and then they stopped talking too cause like i think it's like it means that you're listening i think so but yeah in america too um if you're talking people will be like really seriously for real like um but i think i think koreans do it a little bit more yeah it's not a bad thing but i think it's just to show that you're paying attention yeah i think just the person has to be a good fit for you so usually i think korean guys are a little more open with their emotions and feelings and they express more like that they like you that they love you and that they want to do something for you like that so i think that's a good aspect i like it i like it i like being loved um so i think yeah you just have to find the right one and you know i think it's a good thing that um korean men are really hard workers i don't know if it's by choice but um i think korean men are are really hard workers and um personally my husband he's really really focused on his work he does his job well so um i think i think that's a good trait i'm always worried that he's gonna get sick or die but um i think it's a good trait hard worker responsible yeah so today i spoke about what has changed about my life ever since i married a korean man so um if you guys like this video give it a thumbs up and subscribe and we'll see you in the next video [Music]
