Hi, I’m Tabi-ie Rolling down the road in the big camper, I’m off on another adventure In the gaps of life, between eating and sleeping... I find joy in the changing scenery Seeking these small joys, I set forth in the Hiace campervan Please share this journey with me I bought some snacks This is Oyaki with Nozawana I love it! * Oyaki with Nozawana = flour damper with pickled Japanese greens Let’s get going! Today’s theme is “Big City, Undercover” We’re gonna sneak into Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture First, the onsen! *onsen = hot spring bath This place has a rock slab bath I wanna try I’m gonna be here a while 3 hours bath-time! It doesn’t get any better than this 😊 Let’s head to the campsite I took on a big challenge and am trying something quite different “Times B” operates bookable parking lots And overnight stays are ok In the heart of downtown Nagoya, car camping fun! This is it! I got a weird feeling about camping in the middle of the city Feel the guilt and enjoy a stroll anyway 😊 This is a perfect chance to enjoy a Big City Takeout meal This strange new world beckons me, it’s so exciting How about here? “BYLAN BALI” Indonesian restaurant I want Indonesian take-away! There’s so much to choose from... Satay Chicken on a Stick! I guess in Japan we’d call it Kushi-yaki or Yaki-tori Next is Lumpia Goreng, fried Spring Rolls And Nasi Goreng A take-away in the hand is worth 2 in the kitchen Oh, the smell is amazing Rush back to the car... Stopping only to get some snacks from the convenience store I’m home 😉 First, get out of these clothes and into something more comfy 1… 2…… 3! And set out dinner 1… 2… 3………! Done LOL A full course of Indonesian deliciousness Itadakimasu Cheers to Car Camping! Let’s start with the chicken Oh, it’s amazing I think Indonesian food suits Japanese palate nicely Lots of the peanutty Satay Sauce Also great! Now for the Nasi Goreng Yeeeah, there’s no way I’d miss out on this Now for the fried spring roll with sweet chili sauce Crispily delicious Ok, screen time Favourite videos, amazing food and chill in the heart of the metropolis Finer joy than this could not exist 😊 Aaaah, what a nice meal S’pose I better tidy up There’s one teensy problem with a regular carpark like this I get so many questions about it, but now it’s really a thing! You know, the toilet thing Guess in a Big City Camp I need a proper solution This! I got a folding toilet! It’s not something I normally wave about in front of everyone But this is a rare chance to deal with your curiosity 😊 This Urban Car Camp series risks being a hit! Ok, enough of that. It’s bedtime. Nighty-night Next morning I slept really well Ok, time to model today’s Day Wear 1… 2… 3! Should I wander around and have a Nagoya Breakfast? Nah, I wanna make my own Today, a salmon and cheese hot sandwich I never made it before but it should be tasty This sandwich maker, there’s no other way to see him... Robo-hippo! So cuuuute From Robo-hippo’s mouth to the plate This is a salmon and cheese sandwich Itadakimasu Okay, all good.
