thank you for taking your time welcome first question which country are you from We're from the US United States yeah oh which province Oh California San Francisco oh wow so cool thank you did you go to Tokyo Disneyland no no we should yeah because you know California has Disneyland so you can compare okay so is this your first time to visit Japan it is okay for side seeing yes oh how many days have you stayed so far this is day two only two days yes okay so you just alive two days ago yeah okay how many days will you stay seven yeah seven in total okay seven in total so maybe you will go to other cities we're going to go to Koto for a few days okay so Tokyo and Kyoto yeah okay oh what's your itinerary in Tokyo uh food yesterday we took the metro to all these different neighborhoods uh and just look at the shopping and the food okay yes it's very fun okay yes we were supposed to come here in 2011 no two days after the big earthquake and so that trip was cancelled yeah and so we've come back 13 years later yeah years w yeah we have two kids they with their grandparents okay at home so you lift them yes first time we've left them since we've had them so yes yes okay so next question what was your first impression of Japan when you arrived two days ago it's very organized organized yes very systematic which I like a lot really and very clean uh yeah many people say that yes strong Japan Stone cleaniness yes clean organized people are very nice people are very nice yeah very kind I think that uh even uh knowing a little bit of Japanese is helpful um and our first experience was a fun one what it was our first one well we got in pretty late and we were tired and we were looking for something to eat and we ended up at a kind of a what you guys would like a bar oh you you was win bar yeah we didn't know that was we were went there to eat it was very good they had like pictures of like uh naked like women yeah there were women on the wall yeah wow yes oh and you can smoke inside you can't smoke inside in the US or can you smoke inside they were doing it depends on the place of course you good had really good fried chicken and uh some other stuff I have actually no idea what it was oh this thing called Turtle sauce it was like it was like eggs and mayonnaise and cucumbers ah T sauce okay tter no I thought he said Turtle maybe tartter maybe tartter it's tartter in jaane t oh okay sorry oh and you drive on the other side of the street from the US ah right side yes okay it's very confusing yes almost hit by a lot of cars okay very interesting so next question did you experience any cultural difference so far yes um you no eating and walking around with food yeah you guys very sced yes we today we bought some ice cream and they told us to just stand by the outside of the place and eat it yeah it's a designated area yeah so that was funny also in the train it's same you can't eat anything in the right it's it's possible I think but people don't like yeah it keeps it clean ah yeah you're right oh and no trash cans very little Trash Can ah yes well you carry your trash around a lot but everything stays clean so you guys have a very aligned uh philosophy on that yes yeah that yeah say because of terrorism oh maybe long time ago yeah something happened in TR trust can yeah remove all of trust wowoh oh and almost everybody wears black white tan or gray clothes oh really very little um like colors H like or like you know like we're in red like everybody it's like they like like you you're in like neutrals we call them neutrals yeah you know like they're neutrals yeah black white gray very but very pretty looks very nice yeah I didn't notice that yeah yeah I think because people are shy and introverts speaking I don't one thing I noticed it's like culture or the people are very very kind very nice but not very social I don't know if that's a if that's a difference of not like being able to communicate with foreigners or not but or we can't communicate or we can't with them but that's just they're a little more like quiet yeah people talk very quiet yeah noral yeah like Whispering yeah have hobit I don't know yeah maybe American people talk really loud really loud it's fine oh and you have really good beer white be very good beer you which round uh Kieran those are ones we get in the States but some other brands that poor I don't even know what they are they're just light and they're good you drink a lot of beer oh good you can drink a lot of beer without feeling bad the next day okay thank you so next question do you want to bring back anything from Japan to your country people generally say toilet you do like the toilet I do wish you could bring back um this the safety and respect where we live everything you people steal stuff a lot of stuff like um it's so cool how you guys leave your bikes out you would get your bikes you would get your bikes stolen in like a second oh yeah yes and so it's so nice I wish we could bring back I wish we could bring back like the the safety and respect and clean cleanliness and maybe you wish the toilets well who doesn't I mean there's a bed day in every toilet yes and they're very clean puet restrooms pu restrooms are very clean I would even go I wouldn't go to the bathroom in a public restroom where I live but here it's like my own bathroom at home very clean very nice W very interesting yeah I think you can drop your wallet anytime yeah yeah definitely someone will pick up there to you no no question you like you could your um like your purse or your backpack you can leave it at a table yeah get so nice that's just unheard of where we're from by the way oh and I really like the baskets under the seats when you eat so nice yeah oh is this special to Japan we've never we've been to a lot of countries and we've never seen that before wow interesting because I think it's so organized yeah there was one thing to like wrap it all up would be organized system system oriented and trustworthy yeah okay very interesting good process so this is that's Prince gives a message to the audience who are interested in Japan interested in visiting Japan definitely come it's really awesome the food is fantastic um yeah I would say that if you're uh if you're looking to find something different if you want to get away from where you are this is the place this is the place to come because it's uh refreshing very refreshing yeah refreshing perf thank you so much thank you where are you from New York uh are you tourist or resident here tourist okay tourist um when did you arrive in Japan uh 10 days 11 days ago so what brought you to Japan are you interested in Japan originally or any other no culturally I I enjoy the culture yeah okay okay thank you ask your itinerary uh I was in Kyoto for 10 days and I'll be in Tokyo for five okay K in 10 days I think it's very long yeah how was how was Kyo it was good it was good I got there a little late for uh the cherry blossom blooming but uh it was still peeking so it was nice oh okay okay okay so did you go to many and campus yeah I think like got 22 22 Gardens temples yeah forests which Temple was your most favorite uh there's a a little Temple uh near the bamboo forest and a buber forest oh okay okay I think yeah along the river and then you go up into the mountains and there's a little Temple up there okay so was temp yeah I go back there every time I go oh SS great very interesting so second question oh what's your favorite point of Japan food anime people whatever what's your favorite uh I would say the nature first and then the food okay uh and then uh music music in japanes traditional music uh not traditional but you know more like techno and uh Jazz oh yeah good good good music good Sound Nature I think America United States has you know great nature and Ja in in terms of the scale yeah it's yes it's bigger but it's different oh different yeah we have a we have some of it but it's different here okay so for you Japanese nature is you know I don't know what kind of image they have well it's also a little bit more uh historic so uh if you combine it with Japan's history and the temples and the castles and all of that uh we don't have that history we could many years old relatively new country yeah yeah okay I understand so do you did you experience any cultural difference between Japan and America yeah it's the opposite yeah that's that's why I like it sometimes for politeness uh everything is much more slower a lot more attention to detail oh yeah yeah I think too much yeah you know when you have the opposite you appreciate it more okay yeah yeah yeah it's worth it American people are very friendly very brave it depends on on the place too uh you in New York New York New York is a Melting Pot so uh they're very accepting of everybody but also everybody's very busy so nobody has time yeah it's truth yeah New York is too busy yeah and I think people in Tokyo kind of say yeah I it depends on area but maybe around shya sh some people are crazy yeah yeah it feels that way sometimes yeah okay thank you so do you want to bring back something from Japan to your country for example some Electronics or whatever I've been starting to make some creative stuff so I've actually been looking at things like Fabrics and raw materials and you know looking for places that make things of high quality and just bringing some samples back and see how it's made okay is this related to your job some of it yeah oh so cool fa oh it's kind of yeah a little bit okay very cool by the way oh thank you it's very Japanese style uh this one's more Japanese cool okay so did you buy any svenia yeah I bought a few things uh bought uh an OB uh belt uh and I brought some um different like fans and Chopsticks and things like that for friends for New York but uh the only thing I got for myself were some clothes and some uh some Obie and some uh some sandals oh Cru really what kind of Cru t-shirts no no more a little bit more traditional Japanese yeah hak yeah wow hak what's the purose of hak you have no chance to oh I wear it all the time what yeah New York what what what what do you do in New York what uh so uh I I study yido in New York yo y yeah the Japanese sword oh so there we wear the full uniform and then I have more casual Hama and for robes that I wear you know casual wow very interesting I think you very unique in New York isn't it yeah a little bit a little bit is there any friend who are doing Pi though as well yeah there's not too many people in New York do yeah yeah okay okay thank you okay so this is last part please give a message to the audience who are interested in coming to ja uh defin definitely do it take your time do the tourist thing for the first few days and then get away from the tourist areas after the more time you spend here the more you love it thank you perfect thank you so much
